...seems to me, the only benefit of this spell is 5% faster run over howler.
Use this spell over form of the howler? Personally, mana is my limiting factor. Does anyone know if this spell includes a mana ren?

This spell is meant to give one wolf form with the mask line. Mask of the Hunter/Stalker/forest do not stack with form of the howler. Form of the Hunter does not have mana regen, but the mask spells have more regen than howler. If you want to use mask and don't have this spell you can use form of the greater wolf or wolf form or sow or illusion toilet plunger. On a personal note, wolf form looks stupid anyway.
Well said. I only use dog form in places like Natimbi, which have a chronic mob warping problem. Not flying (soe, foe) definately helps keep these punks from doing the warp-whack. If I'm solo'n, speed of Great Wolf has served me well when I choose not use SoE. If I'm in a group, I'll succor long before speed becomes an issue. POint blank: the mana benefits of Mask beat the hell outta run speed, dog is gay but has occasional uses, and I don't see the point in pursueing this spell.

just curious...
If you're solo'ing and not so good at kiting or the mobs you've chosen just do NOT want to cooperate with snare/root... would the xtra attack come in handy? Or do you think it's still a better deal with Mask?

Odds are you will NOT solo many mobs, especially 65+. I know my druid could tank some up to Luclin and Tier 1 PoP but thats really it.
