I have noticed that just recently (for the last several weeks), I am no longer able to cast this on myself when I have O'keil's Levity on. When I try, I get the message "your spell did not take hold."

The O'keils levity damage shield is only 5 points of damage, which we could double by casting O'keils Flickering flame to get a "not too shabby" damage shield (10 points total) though not nearly as good as druids or rangers, hell, not even as good as necros (theirs is 12 points). Now, we're back down to 5 points on the damage shield, max.

If anyone can get both spells active on the same character now, please post.

This spell is found in Thurgadin clerics area in the library. Lorekeeper Deeria has it. You can find her at -165.06, 784.00

If you are getting this spell in Thurgadin, it is not hard to find. All one has to do is find the Cleric's area. The is a stage with a lecture going on. Several students are seated on benches and a Coldain is speaking at a podium. There are two other Coldain on the stage with him. The one on the Left sells the assorted spells for non-clerics. I believe this is where the Coldain Prayer Shaw quests begin. There are more spells available in the library to the right of the stage.
The only real use for this spell I have found so far is that when someone just can't understand that Wizards don't have Buffs, you can cast this fellow on them to make them leave you alone. Like all the O'Keils spells (Not counting Levity,) it wears of really quickly.) I'm going to play around with it a bit to see if it belongs in the back of my spell book with Sense Summoned and other spells that I will never use.

If there is a good use for this spell in a Wizard's strategy, could someone post it here?

Like all the O'Keils line, this is a minor damage shield. When in a group, I will cast this on the main tank just before melee begins, then sit and med until it is time to nuke.

While it may not seem like it does much damage, every little bit helps, and it always "hits" when the mob strikes, even if the mob does no damage to the tank.

With a 5 minute duration, it's good for one or maybe two (quick) fights.

You can always use it as a "junk" buff too, when the situation warrants.

I could never get this spell because whenever I ported in I would get attacked by a wandering thing, those floating rocks, and would die. I just happened to use my GD gate and visited Thurg for a bit and found a merchant there that sells this for around 4pp. Her name is Loremaster Dorinan. She is the one on the stage to the left in that church like hall. If you use the Atlas it's 22 I think.

This spell can be purchased from a merchant in the gnome pirate settlement in Ice Clad Ocean near the soulbinder on the third island.
