When I shopped for this spell, I had my the Show only items I can use radio button selected and this spell did not appear. When I switched the selector off, I found it and the spell indicates that is for a level 33 Druid. Mine is level 41. Another quality SoE product.
I charm yellows and even cons (reds are hard).
Ensnare first, then charm! Easy peasy, even if you get a lot of resists (also try to pull animal to a good place to fight before charming).

Anyone know what lvl of an animal you can charm per spell? would be nice to list that under each of the charm spells...
Spell data suggests that level 43 animals are the highest level that can be charmed.

My guess would be that red and yellow cons would probably resist. Then again, charms break, and then the animal will be on you like stink on a troll. When that happens, you don't want it to be a red con.
