I have been on a surplus of fabled raids and have noticed that aside from the bosses' attacks, many of their effects are either easily resisted (take this one, -100 fire), or easily countered with various heals.

My question is, is it accurate that this fabled dot is on a -100 Fire check? Even unbuffed, 95+% of people raiding mobs like Fabled RZ I would think are likely to resist this 95% of the time. And if they dont? Even the 1st tier of radiant cure will cure 9 curse counters.

Just seems trivial for the encounter...

-Noticed this is on the timeb RZ as well.. seems especially trivial for that encounter.

Maybe, but for a level 90 npc to cast this dot, that -100 resist check starts to increase because of the gap between npc and player level, if they were casting spells with a 0 resist modifier they will still land most of the time because of this difference.

I was getting hit by this pretty regularly at 85 with 664 to all resists. Not a trivial dot.

Yeah I can confirm this. We've raided almost every encounter in fabled PoP and a lot of Time and we now totally disregard the range and resist checks listed on alla/lucy. -100 checks seem to never get resisted, and a 200 range AE will still seem to hit a wizard at max nuking range. I don't know how they coded all these spells such that their stats say one thing but the spells do another, but something is certainly up.

As a weird example, we have hit fabled bert in CoD every time we found him up and he's been very easy. Last night his mana drain finally started hitting people, and suddenly mana became seriously low on this fight with several curing non-stop. We must have beat Bert 5-10 times before this without anyone being effected, but suddenly the heal channel was flooded with people getting hit.

If I had to guess, I'd say the devs have written some code purely to beef up the spells, rather than editting the spells themselves. It's also possible that the alla/lucy spell database hasn't updated, I don't know if it harvests info from the files or what.
