The Talisman of the Beast cannot be cast upon others. It is a self only spell. I don't know if the spell has changed since this was posted, but I foud out the hard way when I tried to cast it upon someone else. Also, why cast this when you can cast Strengthen at a lower mana cost for the SAME effect? AND still be able to cast it upon others. Someone needs to do a revamp on this spell.

Correction for this correction, it CAN be casted upon others that ARE in YOUR group. That's why the spell icon is purple indicating that it is a GROUP spell.

This spell will only work with others that you are grouped with. You cannot just target a pc and expect it to work you'll just renew yer own buff. I haven't had any problems with this spell and have used it successfully in several groups. Plus looking at casting time and mana this spell is much better than strengthen. 25 vice 10 mana to cast, but in a full group that saves you 35 mana. Only having to cast it once instead of up to six times....yeah I'd call that a plus.
Are the other Talisman spells group buffs? That's a real bummer that this spell isn't for groups - I was looking forward to using it.

Best I can tell, this spell stacks with all the other spells I cast on my pet. When I buff him with ac,str,alacrity, then this spell, none are turned off, nor is spell resisted...

the way you can tell if it doesn't stack the pet will tell you that the spell that doesn't stack falls.

This information is taken directly from the EQ Caster program, which parses the information file for spells in your EQ directory. The spell numbers refer to a specific spell effect in the database; in this case, you have the number of the actual buff, and also a reference number for the proc effect.
well this is spell=688 so I just typed it in in the browerser but that wasn't much help eather.

I have checked the location listed as the Fironia Vie vendors for this spell several times. If it's there it's written in invisible ink. I think this spell is drop only. I guess thats what happens when a druid gleans the information for wizard spells.
