Even though spells are a bit cheaper this still sells for 40-100k on druzzil ro.Unless you are stacked with plat i cant see paying that much for a very small upgrade in damage.The healing ones and especialy panther 2 are well worth their price.
one of the biggest differences between the ranks isnt the damage, but the resist checks. Rk1 is -20, RK2 is -40, and rk 3-60. This makes a huge difference while dueling.

damn they said on todays patch that the effeciency on sting of the queen has been reduced... I wonder how?

Old mana cost 581 new mana cost is like 760.... thats how.

Yeah, it was 'nerfed'...but it kinda needed it.
My Shaman has max AAs, so just about every other Sting I was tossing out was critting for 7.5k+. Almost 8k damage for a little over 500 mana? Wizards were aghast...and rightfully so.
This spell is now what it was originally intended to be: the finishing blow for a mob that's turning to run, when you don't have a Snarer in the group. It is not, and was never meant to be, the primary nuke-a-licious sweetness that a Wizard brings to the party.

964 mana for Rk I (I just bought it), which is every so slightly more efficient (3 .00 HP / mana) than Ahnkaul's Spear of Venom (2.97 HP / mana) instead of the power house spell that it used to be (4.99 HP / mana).
