Howdy Fellow Servermen. by far i do believe i like Vallon zek above all others... it comes down to an art when you pvp now.. if magic don't work then melee.. if melee don't work use magic.. hide.. sneak.. ganging up on others.. xteam is commen ground now adays.. don't be suprised to see guilds of multiple races running around ruining your fun.. High keep has become the fighting grounds for all low lvls. and the planes for all high lvls, there are alot of places to avoid pvp.. but you can find that your self.. and don't forget not everyone is the same race as they look like HAHAHAHAHaha

High keep isnt really a pk zone much anymore, now its PC(piludal caverns) HK has really died down but PC always has Pkers now.
I am one of the most well known clerics on Vallon Zek to date. I have played and actually have 1 of every class up to 25, so i can give alignment/pvp classes/tips. I know dang near everything about this server through the fact i have no personal life but eq. is the bazar nexus and pok pvp free?... i play a lvl 7 or 8 necro iksar and want to sell stuff but if the bazar is pvp then that kinda defeats the pourpose

Sheesh i can't believe how much eq has changed, i've been gone for a year and look at all the carebears that have migrated. I remember when the Vah Shir damn tiger fefs came around, i made it a point to pk every one of them. and now look at the carebears, BUYAKA!!! thats what i think it is BUYAKA!.. Musetii pwnz yu

Well it is a pvp server but most of the blueby server players have moved her and now pvp is most of the time but Xteaming is unreal it is a disgrace if you ask me i thought team meant teams vs teams but DDW and alot of other xteam guilds have changed this so if your a blueby on vallon or an xteamer please disgrace another server not a team server it really pisses me off to be in a good battle with someone and as both of us are down to a bub of life all the sudden i see another race (immy heal) complete heal them then i lose the fight what a cowardly way to fight if i lose a battle honorably then fine i congratulate my opponent and LNS from the zone and just wait for the next time i see them but the Xteaming is gotten so bad that a pure team player is often greifed. so if your interested in joining this server and hate pvp or are on this server and hate pvp please move on to another server so you can xteam. I have gotten to the point that if i see xteam guilds attack me i check zone if others are there i run it is not worth fighting a disgraceful player when you know your screwed already. I love fighting pure team guilds on the server tho and thrive for good fights but most the xteamers will attack you AFK even on mobs they attack you and steal the kill so i wish for the day they either hardcode the server or turn xteamers into traitors of there race and we can attack them too if they are in an xteam guild that way vallon zek turns back to the way it was!!!

ok, all u VZ player, here the question, whitch alignement will be the froglok? evil? light? human? elf? or dwarf? or a race by themself?(don'T think so)? on a pvp server, a new team member, make a huge difference, will they give a new class to play? And what class will be the froglok? i imagine same as iskar but they will have druid and ranger probably... maybe paladin... but then u would have clr froglok.... surely they won't be pure caster exept for necro... rogue? bard? war? well let me know what u think of this new race... maybe it will be the balancing class that will make xteamer go on another server..

I'd guess Shorty Team.
Making the Evil team would put them at odds with the trolls who kill froggies from level 1. But then since VI doesn't consider PvP concerns before implementing code, it's anyone's guess.

I am thinking of joining either Vallon or Tallon. how many more people does Vallon normally have? is it considerable? because i would like to play on a server with more people. which one is newer? newer=less twinks... can someone give me the lowdown? :P

Hi, if anyone has decided that they might want to try a non-pk server for any reason but are discourged becuase u cant twink ur newb and would have to start from scratch all over again DONT BE.

If u could pay me some pp on the Vallon Zek I would be happy to give u all this equip on my ogre warrior i no longer use.

I got a question, how common are enchanters on these race PVP servers? It seems like they would be real popular with the ability to change races. Also I am considering making a erudite enchanter on either tallon or vallon zek, is there anything different between the 2 servers or are they exactly the same?

If you are a dark team member on this server that likes to roleplay and pk lighties, check out the guilds crimson praetorian, mercenaries of darkness and defiant. They are strong, honorable guilds that will help you go a long way in sharpening your EQ skills. Just my 2cp

Vallon zek isa good server. lots of nice people and such. Tallon is pretty much the same. Vallon zek is starting to get introduced to trooper scale armor, dreadscale armor and mysticscale armor. Very little gm events so far...

I want to trade all of my items on Luclin server for items on Vallon Zek... On luclin i have a 31 beastlord with many items such as RMB, Centi hammer, 65 hp rings, and assortment of other good/decent items including pp(if you cant use these items you could sell them).. I was thinking about making an Enchanter on a PvP server. Only for their illusions, stuns and mezzes. First, I would like to know if illusions stay on while you are attacking/casting at a player. Sencond, I know you can't fear or charm people, but can you mezz them? Thanks all!

chanter illusions do stick while in pvp combat, and pc's can be mezzed. the illusions will break as soon as the chanter casts his first spell, but the chanter can melee or take damage otherwise under false form.
When i get mezzed i sit down and /shout sombody hit me! which immediatly breaks the mez.
crowd control in group pvp is significantly more challenging than pve for exactly this reason. I rarely see it (mezes) used. Most of the higher lvl meleers have incredibly high MR on vallon, chanters are used most effectivly for the tash line, mana theft and interputing heals in pvp. Most do not pvp solo.
its a big server though, understand these are thoughts on my experiences on the topic, im sure there are plenty of bad *** chanter pkers out there.

thats a bold faced lie anyone that has plade on this server knows just how good enchanters are in pvp by themselvs.. and if you have been playing on this server long i need only say one name to prove my point... Archedgar.. try to beat him by yourself youll find it damn hard.. if not near impossible.. and illusions don't break after first cast
howdy i have played on terris thule for a bit and as my signature shows i have a little experience in the game...anyway i was thinkin of starting a char on either of the team pvp servers...now i have to choose which server to start on..... any info as to what the loot rules are, why i should choose one server over the other, how the guilds are, any info at all would be greatly appreciated....ty and good night

tallon and vallon are practically the identical. I think there are more europeans playing on vallon for some reason, and i hear tallon has much more tolerance for 4 teaming guilds who are slightly more pve/guild oriented than pvp-pure teaming but thats just what i read on the ezboards. pure team guilds do exist but are rare and weak (excluding dark teams). Both servers generally have 3 light teams who are all aligned against 1 dark team. there are minor exceptions but this seems to be the major trend.
Immortal healing (healing a different team member with impunity) does occur but is highly frowned upon but all players. Things get complicated when members immy heal within the same guild. GM's tend to let matters as such resolve themselves. Even the strongest propvp guilds know its generally not to there advantage to immy heal.
looting is restricted to coin. although there once was a 1 item loot rule, there is currently no item loot on vallon zek or tallon zek. Im not sure if you can coin loot in arena (pvp areas) but i know that you can NOT coin loot after dueling (/d)
there is a bad zone faction hit in cities for killing a member of that city's race - you wont be able to buy from merchants in freeport if you kill a human in freeport, or wood elves in Gfay. This effect is not nullified by dueling. but is nullified by fighting in an arena (pvp area)
theres a lot of "server etiqute"
the most important dictates that you "LnS" (loot and scoot) after being pked (player killed). you have a few minutes to loot your corpse and then safely leave the zone. Most people follow this rule, but GMs do not enforce it. on the other hand if you do not allow a person the chance to LnS, GMs will get involved and take "appropriate action" (a nasty talkin to!), i suppose after repeated instances not allowing an individual to LnS or corpse camping (killing a person before they have a chance to loot there corpse) one might get there account revoked, but i find it highly unlikely.
another aspect of the same senario is called bind rushing. an example; you were just pked, you find your corpse and your aggressor sitting next to it with 20% health after the battle, you immediatly loot your corpse and attack him/her. This tends to happen quite frequently and its also looked down upon on Vallon.
The strongest guild on vallon is probably defiant, (they won the tot for VZ) close seconds are ancient orden, draconic tribe, iron tower, mercenaries of darkness, minions, united legions, fated,.. there are lots of people who have played on vallon zek since the begining, its hard to say who is "the best" and my judgment is completely biased as im a lighty, i only really only know light guilds. but id imagine its very different from blue servers.

edit: one more thing, they nerfed the skill-lvl bug. there used to be guys running around low lvl zones with amazing backstabs, kicking for 40 at lvl 10. obviously they got to lvl 45ish and then deleveld from there with skills maxed mearly to pvp newbs. This isnt to say your wont find a lvl 16 wearing a fungi tunic, you probably will, they just wont have 160 skill lvl in slashing or whatever else.
