If you attune the Magnetic bp can you still use it in the charged recipe?

If you combine the BP and the 4 Lightening Core and Fail do you get the BP bak ?

I would expect you would loose everything except the hammer on a fail.

You get the Breastplate and the Hammer back. However, that's a small consolation, since the BP is worth about 20k, the hammer is worth a couple plat, and the lightning cores are running 40K+ each on my server.
