Old message again, but I wanted to point out that now, the dmg does make a differance. I am currently using silver tipped arrows and avg about 150-200 dmg per bolt on my lvl 61 rng. If I use anything dmg 5 or less I average under 120 and anything else is in between.
The puppies I am averaging 250+ per bolt. To note I do not as of yet have AA's in archery at all.

I think these are worth the price and the time.

im a gm fletcher and make these arrows about every other combine w/ trophy however they are not selling well on my server due to the fact that only players that are buying them are the rangers with the endless quiver and only need to buy 1 /sigh sorry

Just did 120 combines, so max yield would have been 1200 arrows... I got 310 arrows from it. My effective skill was 225 (including the 5% modifier), and my dex was higher than my wisdom, at 229.

No skill ups.

Success % was just over 25%. like 25.8. Once again, the % allakhazam gives is just about perfect (alla listed it as 25% for my skill level...). The only thing that sucked is getting no skill ups. The combines cost me 1894pp. (and some change). That's a little spendy for no skill ups. eek. To recover the cost, I'd have to sell these buggers at just over 6pp each. Including paying for the dex buff, I'll round out to 7pp each and make an insubstantial profit. If they'll sell for that price.

I saw with the new trades UI that the Triv on these things are 335, so gonna be hard to make at any thing under GM. Also dont know if it was my skill or what, but with a wis of 227 I didn't get a point in fletching after 80 sothing combines.

Wisdom is not what determines your skill ups. It's Dexterity. I did 200 combines with a dex of 207 and got 4 skill ups so its a pretty hard combine.

This is not true.

The correct information is that, for fletching only, IF... and only if... your dexterity is higher than your wisdom, then your skill ups will be based on dexterity. If your wisdom is higher, however, dex doesn't mean a thing when fletching.

To say that wisdom doesn't determine skill ups is MADNESS. wisdom determines skill ups for all tradeskills. But for some, a secondary score will determine your skill ups instead, IF IT IS HIGHER THAN YOUR WISDOM. (fletching - dexterity, smithing - strength, I don't know any others)

got my fletching from 202 to 203 today with a wis of 180. went through 3 stacks plus, a total of 63 combines. so it is possible, perhaps just a matter of luck.

also, out of that... managed six stacks of arrows. more luck i suppose.
