Greetings Yariel, this is GM Kthalia. Thank you for your petition about the spell, "Spell: Spear of Ro".
"Spell: Spear of Ro" and "Spell: Star Strike" require the same materials: Arcane Thickener (1), Fine Runic Vellum (1), Ink of Pain (1), Quill of the Arch Convoker (1) and Ro's Ink Additive (1). I would suggest you make certain you aren't just crafting the wrong one by accident, since they do both require the same materials. I will leave this petition open for 48 hours should you encounter further issues with this matter.
Here was the response I recieved from a GM over this issue: mm..very perplexing. How am I suppose to tell my spell research kit to make a spell I have not made before and to distiguish two recipes that are exactly the same for two different spells..mental telepathy? Talk about a problem.

Don't bother petitioning. Just submit a /bug.
Can someone confirm this recipe..i also tried this recipe and made star strike instead of spear of ro....mmm...very curious... I did send in a report..no answer yet.
