The Dark Elf

race logoThe Dark Elf starts off in the City of Neriak and generally hunts in Nektulos Forest during his or her formative years. Dark Elves are an evil race, and are killed on site in most places in Norrath. What is the best strategy for playing a Dark Elf? What zones and cities should you take him to and which ones should you avoid? Which factions should you work on improving, and which factions should you be wary of decreasing? Is there a way to develop enough faction to be accepted in the good cities? What are the best quests in Neriak for the beginning Dark Elf? Where are the best shops in Neriak? how to build faction in freeport and qeynos as a DE necro

What is the best way to build your faction for freeport and how can you tell when your faction is good enough to enter without being KOS?
I have the same question about qeynos.
thank you for any info you can offer

To find out if your faction is good enough just
right click on one of the guards at the entrance
(from a distance of course) or select them and
press 'c' to consider them

If you get a response that says warmly, kindly,
amiably, indifferently, dubiously, or
apprehensively you're fine.

If it says that they're "threateningly" or
"ready to attack", don't go near them and
improve your faction more.

For the following two quests I would suggest
you do these two together since they both go
to and from the same place.

%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%

Note for Janam:
After you get his buddy a beer, Harkin
Duskfoot, who is in the tunnels, will figure you
for a real sucker and ask you to deliver a note
for him to Janam Rekish in West Freeport.
This note seems to reference certain not so legal
activities. Deliver the note to Janam and he will
give you a note to return to Harkin. When you
bring it back to him you will gain xp, faction
and a minor item (usually Used Merchants Gloves).

Your faction raises with coalitionoftradesfolk,
coalitionoftradesfolkIII, CarsonMcCabe,
corruptqeynosguards and freeportmilitia.

%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%

Note for Rebby:
Nestral T'Gaza, who is in the tunnels, has need
of a helper. She wants you to take a note to
Rebby, who owes her a debt. Rebby is located in
West Freeport next to the Theater of the
Tranquil. Upon delivery of the note, you will get
Rebby's rat wiskers, which you can deliver back
to T'Gaza for experience, faction and some money.

This quest raises coalitionoftradesfolk,
coalitionoftradesfolkIII, CarsonMcCabe,
corruptqeynosguards and freeportmilitia.

Kill Gnolls(North of Qeynos), Tallus Holten (?), and Bandits (Karana Plains) for Qeynos (Guard and Citizen) faction.

Kill Dervish Cutthroats(Norht Oasis), Orcs(East Commons), Altunic Jartin(East Commons), and Axe Broadsmith(Qeynos Hills) for West and East Freeport (Militia) faction.

I'm not sure if you'll be able to do banking or trade in these places as a DE Necro, but my DE Necro is able to freely walk around East and West Freeport (I'm still working on my Qeynos faction) without being KOS to anyone I've come into contact with. Just don't speak to anyone :OP

For Freeport you need to kill as many orcs as you can, if u go to a camp and just cast one spell on other peoples kills like darkness or something you will also get the faction increase because you contributed... it will take along time, but it will be worth it.. i havent done it yet because i am a lil more interested in lving right now but soon enough ill be there killing all the orcs... :) I am sure Queynos is the same way find out what gets good faction in that zone with Queynos and kill or cast on whatever it is.. good luck and hope u have the patience i know it would drive me nuts :)

go through the tunnels on the wall outside freeport, just watch out for two things. getting lost, and getting killed by npc's in the various guilds in those tunnels. the fisherman is killable, and the shark is easy. i'm sure someone could kill them for you too if you need the help. oh, and don't go into the building at the end of the docks, theres normally a pally in there that'll kill you.

RE: Help!
# Apr 06 2001 at 6:24 AM Rating: Good
I would recommend you read:
http://eq.castersrealm.com/creationguides/Shadowknight.asp

I almost agreed with them except for one thing. They recommend putting 10 points into Strength and 10 into Dexterity. I agree that you should not put any points into intelligence as it is already very large to begin with being a DE and remember you are 4/5 MELEE character with 1/5 magic character. Your spells and little skelly pet will be a bit of an advantage and taunt but will never compare to any other full caster or Bard. That being said, if you want to focus more on your spells, you can do that, it just means you might have to play your character differently and it may not be as effective. Of course if you're interested in role playing go for it!!

I my personal opinion I would add at least 5 points to Stamina, being a meat shield this is important. Also at the levels 75, 100, 125, 150, 175, and 200, for Strength, Stamina, Agility, Dexterity, and Charisma the effectiveness of these skills change. ie. the difference between 73 and 74 is small compared to the difference between 74 and 75 skill. Therefore for a DE SK get you Strength and Stamina up to 75 by adding at least 5 points in each.

That leaves you with 10 points.
Strength will let you hit for more on average, allow you to carry more including plate armour you'll be wearing later, help increase some weapon skills faster including Smithing (Important)
Stamina will give you more hitpoints, let you swing a heavy weapon for longer (not too much of a problem)
Agility will raise you Armour Class slightly will allow you to dodge others melee attacks, and help raise some defensive skills (Important)
Dexterity will improve the number of critical hits you get help improve some Offensive skills, and determines how often weapons with special attack proc (Important since SK have many good weapons with procs)
Intelligence will determine how fast some skills will raise and how much mana you have available for casting (but for a DE this is already high)

The rest depends on how you want to play your character. Your defensive skills will be fairly comparable to a Warriors but less than a Monks. You will have more Hitpoints than a Monk but less than a Warrior. Your pet will act as a minor DOT (Damage over Time) and help to take the heat off you in some cases. In the end it's up to you and for the most part you can change your stats through items (eventually) :OP

I love being a DE, im a necro though so im not 100 percent positve as to what to put ur points into i would think u need a pretty good int , because u want to b able to cast but u need a good strength and agility because u are like a warrior necro and need to get urself through the first 8 levels before u get a pet, which i think will most often con green to you, which means its a lower level. A DE is one of the hardest classes to play other then Iskar because you are not loved by many, you will be Kill On Sight (KOS) in most places so you need to be careful where you go.. Dark Elves are an awesome class so you should definately give it a try.. and shadow knights are pretty kool... Good luck to you.

For my necro I put all but 5 points into int. The other 5 went to dex. I got my first pet at lvl 2. He made killing non stop for me. I had to tank allot cause he was weak. Then at lvl 4 I got a new pet. At lvl 4 he cons even to me. I can easily solo yellow & white cons with him. You don't have to wait till 8 to get a pet. I have not missed str at all. My power is in spells. Your lvl 4 DOT poison bolt is fast and effective for the lvl. Stacked with disease cloud + you and your pet pounding MOBS go down fast. You may have to step back every now and then and life spike but you will rock from 4 on!!

Hey, I just started a DE enchanter(yeah I know tough!), but I wanted the challenge along with the jewelry making. Anyway this is my first evil race so I could use any tips on who I can and can't kill. I want to stay in roleplaying so I want to be able to come home to neriak anytime and also visit the other evil cities so I don't want to kill anyone that would make dark cities hostile towards me. Being mostly good characters I had no prob killing orcs, ogres, dervs, etc., but now who can I kill? Thanks for the help.

Basically you dont want to kill anything evil... Don't kill any dark elves and you are good to go in neriak, there is a quest u can do in the third gate to bring ur faction back up if u do happen to kill a few... dont kill ogres and u will be ok to visit their cities and stay away from killing trolls and u will b ok for their cities.. cant remember the names of the other few evil cities... keep killin the orcs and dervs... they will help ur faction raise so u can get into the good cities... but u need to kill ALOT of them.. so good luck to u on that.. :)

Good response, but I'll add a bit.

First the quest mentioned is at:
http://eqdb.allakhazam.com/quest.html?quest=159
"In the Library of the 3rd Gate is a scribe named Lokar To'Biath. After hailing him he will say that he is a 'Scribe of Innoruuk'. If you ask him if he is a 'Scribe of Dal' he will seal his lips and only a bottle of Red Wine from The Blind Fish will open them. Give him a bottle of Red Wine (It can be from anywhere, not just the Blind Fish)" (or become a brewer and make it yourself) "and he will reward you with low exp, faction, and the key words for the 'Book of Turmoil' quest. This is one of the best quests to gain faction with the Dark Bargainers (Neriak Residents).
This quest will eventually max faction with the Dread Guards (at indifferent if you started worse than this), although the Dark Bargainers will continue to improve, even when already warmly. "

As for faction in good cities I'll refer to a previous response:
"Kill Gnolls(North of Qeynos), Tallus Holten (?), and Bandits (Karana Plains) for Qeynos (Guard and Citizen) faction.
Just don't speak to anyone :OP"

RE: i need help in a duel iam a mage my enemy is a paladin
# Apr 06 2001 at 7:25 AM Rating: Good
First take into consideration that the Pally Dwarf is a figther with minor heal spells and more than twice the HP that you see initially due to spells and LoH.

Mages rely heavily on their pet as there main souce of attack but at such a low level your melee skill are a nice aditional DOT. If you're full health you can tank for a few seconds here and there, and make sure you get you're friend in between you and you're pet. Most important is to watch your pets health constantly and Renew Elements CONSTANTLY.

One of the GREAT things about mages is their ability to store mana is physical objects. Before you consider entering the fight, create several stacks of throwing daggers (if you're level 16 by the time you read this :OP) and use them at a distance instead of draining your mana. BTW if you're only fighting one character, don't use AE spells use your shock spells instead. Feel free to use shock spells but remember if your pets dies so will you (unless you hide).

I recommend you cast a fire pet and buff it with Burnout (15 min) which should last the entire fight. Starting with full mana send out one (maybe two) cancel magic spells to remove the little buggers magic shield at a distance if you can. And auto attack until you health goes down a bubble. Then backoff from the pally so that he/she's inbetween you and your pet and start throwing daggers (or shock) until you're up to full health again at which point you melee again. Meanwhile you should be checking that your pets health doesn't go below half. If you get down to half health and the pally's following you just shadow step and let him/her try to find you, meanwhile you pets doing damage.

The fire pet will aid you in that Dwarf pally's are really 80% fighter 20% cleric. The damage shield will kill the melee every hit and is hastened. You just have to watch it's health very closely. A fire pets fast attack and when it's hastened by your buff will reduce the chance of the pally casting a heal. Unfortunately LoH is a problem which means at this level you're dealing with a weak (dwarf) warrior with more hitpoints than a regular warrior.

Hope this helps,

Aeriform

watch your pets health carfully(as DoTing the pally). when it is so low that it will die in one or 2 hits summon up another one. then its like 1pally vs 2war and 1necro:). then med hidden. then after your new pet dies the pally will look around for you(he should have used lay hands by now.) just dot and run around. hope this helps;)

Damage on Monsters?
# Feb 24 2001 at 11:41 PM Rating: Default
Why is it that when you do damage to a creature it lags and sometimes doesn't register for a few second but when it does it just creeps down, but when they hit you it takes it off in chunks at a time. I've actually been killed by a creature and as I lay there I saw it fall over dead, after I was already killed.
RE: Damage on Monsters?
# Apr 06 2001 at 7:34 AM Rating: Default
1) It could be as mentioned earlier you're using a DOT that continues after you're dead.

2) It could also be due to lag. Your computer registers a hit but the server doesn't get it for a second. Meanwhile the server registers a hit but your computer doesn't know about it for a second. When this happens at exactly the same time in a really close battle...

3) It could be that some one else is attacking the same mob as you are and killed it as (or after) you died. Perhaps a hafling or gnome, they're easy to miss, or a caster/Bard.

4) There's about a 1/1,000,000 chance that it's a freakish bug that no one has picked up. (Not bloody likely, but ya never know with such complex, often patchwork style code)

Hope this helps,

The only explination that i can think of for you dieing and seeing the mob die at the same time... is if you are a Necro or Sk. If you are one of these classes and laid on the dots and died, then you saw him die it is because ur dots finally sucked the life out of him... its just ironic that you saw him die... If you arent one of these classes i can think of another reason and id be really pissed.. :)

well i picked Burning Prince it helps alot with tempel of Soloek ro and other stuff but a wiz dark elf is very hard but i didn't get many Area afect spells just DDs and when you get some good mana you can solo ok with root and nuke and i found it easy just to go to EC at lvl 8 or something and join orc groups. and get bound in FP at lvl 8. At lvl 12 you go to north ro you can get there bye going to ec and go into tunnel. and at lvl 14 or 15 go to oasis and solo crocs or join an orc group well thats all you need to know for now.
RE: a little question
# Apr 06 2001 at 7:47 AM Rating: Good
Wizards are supposidly a very straight forward class to play, ie you nuke stuff and later tp/evac. However, if you're not careful can be a pain. AE spells can be very useful especially if grouping with multiple wizards and bards and such or to finish off multiple lower level criters that are bugging people as well as other select times. The high teens seem to be the hardest for most wizards (It was for me) but you seem to be doing well. Keep it up! But I recomend experimenting occaisionaly as the dynamics of the game change as you gain levels. You will likely notice a change in how you play in the next 10 levels. Hopefully you'll like the changes...

The Indigo Brotherhood is the Neriak Warrior's faction, not the guards, as commonly believed. (Dark Elven guards are either Dread Guard Outer, Dread Guard Inner, or The Dead.) I know this, because I too have massacred many a Crushbone Orc. I am now threatening with the Brotherhood (avoid the warrior's guild) and dubious with the guards in G Fay (imagine the look on the newbie's faces when they see a Dark Elven Necromancer sitting between the guards in front of Kelethin).

You will be KOS in North Freeport(West and East you can go in though), Halas, Qeynos, Cabilis, Felwithe, Kelethin, Ak'Anon, Firiona Vie, Rivervale, Highpass Hold.
Don't worry;however: You are not KOS in Danak Shipyards(Dark Elf Outpost in Kunark) Grobb, Oggok, Neriak, and East and West Freeport. Believe it or not, you can easily play and survive using only those cities alone. Just buy a lot of food and water, keep a lot of bonechips, and you are set.
RE: KOS question -- E and WFP
# Apr 10 2001 at 8:12 PM Rating: Default
Watch out in E and WFP, though. As a Bristlebane rogue mostly Dubious and Apprehensive to the folks in the Commonlands, I figured E and WFP would be safe. Scum and villainy, right?

In WFP, there are three things you have to look out for. One is the high elf Lady Shae. She is, I believe, a paladin, and around lvl 15. Threatening KoS to me...will be Scowls to any necro. She usually stays in the Hogcaller's Inn, but I met her the first time right at the border of WFP where some other hapless fellow must have trained her. she doesn't just kill all dark elves on sight; she'll attack other races of shadow knight and necromancer too.

Pandos Flintside is next. He's generally upstairs in the Hogcaller's Inn and not really a threat unless you go to him, which is fortunate because he's much higher than Lady Shae. He has a lot of Faydark factions, so if you can sneak yourself in there, feed him as many muffins as you possibly can; I personally like having non-KoS faction, you never know when a high elf NPC will see you when you don't see them. Was Threatening to me to start off with too but didn't chase me beyond the front door of the Inn, unlike Lady Shae.

Third in WFP is the Monk Guild based out of the Theatre of the Tranquil. I had already killed tons of orcs when I stumbled into them (orcs give +Ashen Order faction) and they were Threatening, I assume they were KoS before. It's not too hard to avoid that area, I think, but I don't know where all the zones from E to WFP lead.

As for EFP, watch out for Bronto Thudfoot and a female barbarian (forget her name) that often hang out in the Seafarer's Roost. They're both KoS to all dark elves, and apparently on a Halas faction even though Bronto is an ogre. Level is in the 40's at least, I believe. Also watch out for a pair of warriors (a human and a dwarf) that hang around a wagon/campfire type thing...I think they're for the warrior Epic Quest or something, but I've heard they don't much like most dark elves.

Other than that, EFP is likely safe for Innoruuk worshippers...the only other people that scowled at me as a dark elf rogue of Bristlebane were the necromancer and likely shadowknight guilds. I did -not- go in there far enough to check further.

My 2cp in warnings to the young.

I was wondering, I am curently going to buy Everquest this comming friday, and I was just thinking about starting a Dark Elf Rogue, for my rogue class, would you recommend a DE rogue over the other types of rogues availabe, thanks

Listen to Zenixil, he's got the right idea. Put points into the strength, because thats what i'm missing. I'd suggest more in Dex because it brings up the rate at which your weapon procs. And my last pointer is that when you kill the orcs, your faction in freeport goes up, so as long as you can make it into the militia house, which is just inside the gate, you'll be fine. those will give you pretty good xp in the low teens.

Ah, Good to have an influx of new rogues. Glad to see that you have taken an interest in the rogue. I can answer all of your questions. First off, is Stats, I suggest you boost Strength until it can not go up anymore. I put mine at 85, and with my stuff, I have a STR of 102. With this, I can backstab for around 96 at level 25 with my bloodstained fang(saving for that serrated bone dirk still). Put the remaining points you have into Agi or Dex., whichever is lower. I put my last 5 into Dex, to make Agi 100, Dex 95 and STR 85. And I also am proud to say I picked Bristlebane as my diety. Give your newbie note to Eolorn J'Axx and train 3 in piercing and 2 in sneak. As for Newbie Zones, I had a blast in Nektulos, it isn't as bad as what people say, in fact I found it almost as good as Freeport, and less crowded. If you are a young Dark elf, I suggest you first earn your first two levels in Nektulos at the newbie log. Then, go to North Ro. Fight the vastly abundant Fire Beetles near the Freeport zone. They drop eyes, which can sell to that merchant near there,Murrisa Sandwhisper(She even sells to us Dark elven rogues, she starts indifferent to all). By level 4 or 5, you should have earned a few platinum from all those eyes. Now, at level 5, go to East Commonlands and buy a Giant Snake Fang if you didn't already. It is a pretty good weapon(5/27), great for untwinked newbie rogues, and you can hit for 10 with it consistently. Anyway, for this level, you can either get a group at the ruins here, or go to the First level of Befallen. There, you can fight Giant rats, and skeletons. I always was buffed by the druid or cleric camping that spawn for their Paw quest. Just ask them, it will help. Anyway, fight there till level 7. Then, go hunt Orcs in East Commons in a large group, and sell their belts for a whooping 2pp each! This is great at level 7. I had 80pp by level 11 by this. Well, they will take you to at least level 11. !!!IMPORTANT: Save some points from level 5 to level 10, about 10 will do, to train in Backstab! This is absouloutley mandatory!!!At that point, go hunt Dervishes in North Ro or Crocidiles or orcs in Oasis, which will send you flying out of the newbie realm to level 15 or so. Remember to get Dual Wield at level 13, and to backstab as much as possible! Good luck!

From a lvl 51 rogues perspective:

DE rogues are not the greatest. You get better stats from a Barbarian or a Halfling.

Also, if you really want the Dark Elf "look" you can just go grab a Mask of the Deceiver in Lower Guk later.

On another note, The newbie zones of Barbarians and Halflings are much better than those of the poor Dark Elves.

Yes, I would. Being a DE Rogue is extreme fun! Infrasion, not short, Rare. Just a few of the wonderful things DE Rogues have. Who wants to be short or nightblind?

I want to start a DE warrior.I have never played a dark race, though, and I dont know much about factions. How does your choice of a god effect your faction?

I have a 52 dark elf warrior that is agnostic, tne only things Iv enoticed is that my faction in Neriak has necer gotten better than indifferent and I cant wear the enchanted adamantite plate. Not a big problem really. Just remember to putt most of your starting points into strength or you'll be constantly encumbed, I had to worry about that for the first 20 levels or so.
Innoruuk

The imbued items available to the worshippers of Innoruuk are _quite_ nice, and are well worth a couple of extra faction problems. If you want to be loved wherever you go, try playing a Woodelf or Dwarf.

OOC- listen if you want to get anything done near home, you are going to want to pick innoruuk, if you are every going to want to eventually get imbued indigo sabres' imbued dragoon sheild, or imbued Teir'dal armour of anykind, you aregoing To want to Pick Innouruuk, if you are going to want to Roleplay your character correctly, you are going to want to pick Innoruuk.

the only bonus to picking agnostic or rallos zek, is that your faction starts high enough that you can walk around in most places in Freeport, ..and you dont worry about slate...the draw backs, goodraces vendors wont sell to you because of your race, and Dark races will sell high because of your Deity..so dont pick those

honestly , i strongly suggest Innoruuk....i tell you this because i made the painful mistake of not doing it..and now, as i stand here with no possibility of getting imbued teir'dal armour i deeply regret it.

In my limited knowledge of things.. but a great striver for good faction all over Norrath.. I have learned that religion has a BIG impact on your faction.. and relations with everyplace...

Being a Teir'Dal Shadowknight.. I don't have the luxury of choosing my deity.. I must be one of Innoruuk's chosen knights.. whether I care to or not.. and this has cursed me in most every city I enter.. unless I gain their trust in other ways...

As a Warrior.. you gain the option of being agnostic.. which I highly recommend if you don't wish to deal with WORSE KoS status than you already do as a Teir'Dal..

But of course.. it depends on how you wish to roleplay your character.. do you wish him to strive above the deity that life has chosen for him.. or will he wander aimlessly thruout Norrath seeking his fate..

Good luck in your travels..what ever you choose...

Dark Elf Wizards
# Jan 23 2001 at 1:33 AM Rating: Decent
I can never seem to reason why there aren't more Dark Elf wizards. We have good int, agi, and dex. Str is better than most lighties. Being evil isn't so bad. Its a plus. Don't have to worry about faction. You also have excellent vision from the begining.

The wizard guild is in the middle Neriak zone. Its easy to find, or it gets that way after visiting it many times. As a wiz you don't have to worry about traveling deaths. You can avoid most boats. Travel is very fast. Less walkin more ice comet'n (I wish I had that spell hehe)

Be a dark elf wizard!

They are a great class/race combo and not as common as your standard combo's either.

Amen to that last post yes rogues are quick starting off and do increase in power , but wizards start kicking *** only after a long term commitment to the class, so live and learn.

As a Lvl 17 Dark Elf Wizard, I can say from experience that it takes a LOT of dedication and patience to be one of the Dark Wizards. The good thing is that once you hit 16, it starts getting interresting since you can turn invisible, and don't have to worry about KOS as much. Unlike enchanters who can change into any race they want. :)

Unfortuantely, dear sister... Rodcet is gaining popularity like the elder servers are.. and reaching well over 2000 ppl on it during the evenings... and maintaining that for a while.. and since there is usually about 50+ppl in EC at any given time.. you run into the lag problem...

Specially when the tunnel is coming into view.. UGH...

Ok, normally I resist the urge to make a post that placed on every section, but after I read the article describing the new-- yes, NEW! --experience tables I thought a round of applause for Verant was in order.
I recognize I am usually one of the first to jump on the Almighty V for their lack of responsiveness to their paying subscribers, but it appears they have finally got it right, so I am here to eat some crow.

Well done, Verant!

There. That's enough of that. Crow tastes pretty awful, so don't expect a whole lot of that in the future, V.
If you are wondering what it is I am writing about, refer to January 15th opening news on this website. It seems that Verant has revamped the whole experience/grouping thing and is going to implement this in the next patch.

Just thought I'd pass along the good news!

Can Darkies walk in to the Ogre or Troll town from the begining??? Should be fun to know.
RE: Darkies Vs Ogre
# Jan 17 2001 at 6:49 AM Rating: Decent
As long as you do not attack any ogres or trolls before going to Oggok or Grobb.. yes.. you can walk into the city anytime..

When I was a low lvl.. I believe 9th-10th.. I went over to Oggok and we fought the lizzies on the temples near the entrance to Cazic Thule.. we played around with the newbie Ogres, my Enchanter partner and I.. two wee little Dark Elven lasses in the Ogre city.. it was fun..

BTW.. don't attack the armadillos there in Oggok.. I heard that a guard attacked someone that did.. they don't like that.. don't know if it was a bug or not..

Also.. I understnad that if you fight the lizards and keep the tails.. there is someone in Oggok that will attack you.. because some of the guards like the lizards.. ??? haven't found out if this is true..

SO.. Oggok and Grobb are places that we can play in as well.. they don't give us as good deals.. but we can bank there.. which makes it nice and easy if we are fighting in any of the nearby areas..

Good Luck

DE's can enter oggok and are conned indif by the bouncers and dubious by the merchants. If youre going to sell anything, find the bouncer in the caves (next to the armour shops) whos name is like bubba somehting or other. He is bouncer and will con indif (you will get a little more money).

As far as the lizzy tails, there is a sk (Geriak i think) that will take them (2 at a time) and you will score faction with the ogre sk's, but I dont know of anyone that will kill ya for having them.

Could anyone help me with the post I made over on the necro startegy board called "More on kunark zones?" I have posted it twice there but have yet to receive a response. If anyone could please lend me a hand by replying with any info they have on that post it would be much appreciated. Though I would try my luck here in the dark elf section. He, he
