He drops some nifty stuff like a chainmail suit that has some wonderful properties that give stat increases, but it only fits little people. He also drops a weapon I think (it has been a while since I hunted him so I might be wrong) but it's not as nice as his armor.
He actually is not as mean as Ambassador D'vinn, who drops a dagger that gives INT, because he is the one that breaks out the can of Whoopass (tm) and slaughters everyone.
Just remember to be ready to jump out the window and head to the zone if things get dicey since he has to go the long way around to catch you.
My apologies since this might be incorrect, but I think it is pretty close to the truth.

You wouldn't know irony and sarcasm if they bit you on the shin, would you? The operative word in that sentence is at the end-- Dinner! As a troll I couldn't care less what you are wearing, just how you taste. All the wiggling/jiggling/bouncing is like a good bass fisherman making that worm dance on the end of his line to get the fish to strike. And you little elfies' dancing and prancing through the woods is DEFINITELY going to cause us trolls' mouths to water. Heck, I even built an elf farm to keep my appetites curbed and my jonesies filled. Elves = Food. That was the point of my previous post.

As for your comment, "sumthin gay like that is screwed in the head" and "but i am a male..." has ****-erotic themes oozing out of it's pores. Methinks thou protests too much, foresooth!
(And that, Reo, is sarcasm as well.)

Pusbag (no small hints there) does have a valid point. This game is all about rolepalyiing and the sort, so good on that troll for being what it is. Other than that I am sure that some leather armor will cover whatever .... forms that you want hidden. Be prepared to pay handsomely for it though, even with the tailoring skill.

Ok, normally I resist the urge to make a post that placed on every section, but after I read the article describing the new-- yes, NEW! --experience tables I thought a round of applause for Verant was in order.
I recognize I am usually one of the first to jump on the Almighty V for their lack of responsiveness to their paying subscribers, but it appears they have finally got it right, so I am here to eat some crow.

Well done, Verant!

There. That's enough of that. Crow tastes pretty awful, so don't expect a whole lot of that in the future, V.
If you are wondering what it is I am writing about, refer to January 15th opening news on this website. It seems that Verant has revamped the whole experience/grouping thing and is going to implement this in the next patch.

Just thought I'd pass along the good news!

well what about warriors?
# Jan 13 2001 at 3:19 PM Rating: Decent
you can't forget a warrior. Just because they warm the ground more than anyone else don't forget they can bash some major skulls. even for woodelves who are a little week. I think warrriors are great because they get all these melee attacks. Parry, Dodge, Dual Wield, Double Attack and some of the high level skills ROCK. Even though it is virtually impossible to solo sometimes you also get to make new friends. That is also why I roleplay. You make friends who will group with you. But anyways Warriors rock people. A good twink weapon for newbie warriors is the Axe of the Iron Back. But it's tremendous weight and it's short delay are a major drain on your stamina. Right now I'm wielding Icetooth claws and a Serrated Blade. My 2hs is a Sarnak Ceremonial. Bronze armour is good but look into getting crafted as soon as you can afford it.. Or a SSoY.

RE: beggars

That is why all Wood Elves are given the ability to hide. When high level wood elves visit home they need to be able to escape from all the beggars and people asking directions to the bank! This really applies to bards and warriors; for some reason when a 1st level Wood Elf Druid sees bronze plate he just KNOWS you have so much money it won't hurt you to buy him a full set of leather and all his spells up to level 16. =)

This is only my Opinion.... I believe you should be in North Desert of RO and or Oasis of Marr. The ability to group in both those place is easy and the loot is alot of bronze and cash.

Oasis is definately a good place to go for levels 14-20 or so. Caimens, Orcs, and Cutthroat Dervishes. You will level up quickly here with a group...unless your on a PvP server, at which point avoid Oasis as a Wood Elf.

Froglokquest?
# Dec 12 2000 at 5:13 AM Rating: Decent
One of the strategy guides mentioned something about a froglok related wood elf quest, and stated if you killed any frogloks you wouldn't be able to do the quest. Anybody got any ideas what this might be about?

Yeah. Wood elves are not KOS to Frogloks, so your faction is neutral starting the game. However, once you begin slaughtering those pesky froggies by the dozens (since they tend to gang up on their prey, if you kill one, you will be killing many of them, believe me!) your faction drops rapidly preventing you from speaking with an NPC froggy who would otherwise give you the quest.

This quest is based on the racial hatred of Frogloks against the Trolls. As I am certain you already know, trolls are at war against the frogs and at the same time intensely dislike all elves. This brings to mind the Arab saying, "An enemy of my enemy is my friend" and aptly describes the relationship between you, a wood elf, and the Frogloks who wish to kill the trolls.

So, in closing, as a troll, I have no idea what the quest might entail, but I can say with utter certainy that if you, a wood elf, step foot in Innothule Swamp, every troll who crosses your path will attempt to capture and eat you.

According to this site's quest database, there is one quest beginning in Upper Guk and none originating in Lower Guk. The Upper Guk quest is for the paladin-only sword Ghoulbane, which is part of the Soulfire/Firey Avenger quest line.

Short answer: there aren't any Wood Elf quests in Guk.

There are, however, several items of interest in Guk:

Upper:
Runed Bone Fork: A fair piercing weapon (5/29), but mostly desired for its resistance bonuses. It grants +10 to Save v Fire, Cold, and Magic.

Lower:
Mask of Deception: large CHA increase, with unlimited charges of Illusion: Dark Elf. Rogue, Bard only.

Flowing Black Silk Sash: Coveted Haste item

All of these are tagged for characters in their 30s, but enterprising folks can always get them at lower levels.

Wood Elf racial abilities:

Infravision
Hide
Forage

Infravision grants the ability to see in the dark, though everything is largely shown in shades of red and requires some getting used to.

Hide is the ability to make oneself invisible. This skill begins at 50, and NEVER increases unless you select Rogue as your character class. For all others, this might save your butt in a pinch, but don't count on it.

Forage allows one to scrounge food, water, and other items from the land. The skill also begins at 50 and NEVER increases unless you select Druid or Ranger as your class. At this level, you might find some food or water once in a while, but not often enough to keep you going.
RE: what are racial advanteges
# Feb 28 2001 at 11:20 AM Rating: Decent
I disagree that the lvl 50 forage isn't enough to keep you going. I've had to buy food or water perhaps three times my entire life, and I'm 14th season. You just have to do it more than once or twice a day, which is where most people ***** up.
RE: what are racial advanteges
# Feb 01 2001 at 6:41 PM Rating: Default
My foraging skills are plenty to keep me fed, in addition to my partner, who cannot forage worth beans.

Also, Bards get the class skill forage in their early teens.
