hehe yes it is the life and i have to admit they are a very fun and good class to play but it depends on your style and preference. I would say Druids are THE best class to play because of thier wide variety of skills and spells. I also have a rouge alt and they are SOOO fun to play. Enjoy your rouge =)

Rogues just suck in my opinion as classes,Druids, now theres a good class,if you dont mind sitting out on meleeing and you can deal with a complicated class,Rangers, now,we can melee well, when we get our epic we can melee just as well as warriors, just we dont get as much hp,but,we get spells so we can heal ourselves and buff and stuff, bards, they are more complicated than druids, but can melee, warriors are for the person who likes to charge in shouting AAARRRGGGHHH,this is for anyone just starting out

Newby Question about Tradeskills
# Jan 23 2002 at 2:38 AM Rating: Default
Just a query, I am going to begin playing EQ for the first time. Is a Wood Elf - Druid - Baker - Fisher a good place to start? Or, is there a better place to begin with tradeskills?

Keep in mind that I've taken the time to read most of the previous posts and not seen cooking mentioned here yet.

Also, what would be a good server to start on?

Thanks for your help in advance,

/agree with Woodywaralot. Your trade does not matter much at such a low lvl. Once you know how you want to play the game start a trade. As for a server it depends. On servers with lower populations it is less crowded but there is still plenty of ppl to play with. On the other hand highly populated servers are more likely to have more xperienced players to help u out along your journeys. It all depends on your preference for class. I personaly love druids and believe they are an excelent choice. They have a wide variety spells making them usfull in most groups and easy to solo with. I hope this info helps and finds you well,

Ok, im planning on starting everquest soon. I would like to be a WE. Now i just dont know what class to play. I would prefer a fighter (mainly the warrior and ranger) but i have second thoughts when i see the druid in action (my buddy has one, lvl 57 i think) I dont want to twink or beg, just go and see what i can get. What do you people think? Warrior, Ranger or Druid?

Thanks, I really appreciate your help!

Well, with those three options out there, I would suggest the Ranger. You get most of the abilities of the fighter, and some of the abilities of the druid (most notably SoW ~ which makes life so much easier for you after 30).
RE: New WE
# Dec 31 2001 at 9:07 AM Rating: Decent
The Ranger is a combination between the druid and warrior. They are 3/4 Warrior and 1/4 Druid. They get alot of the same spells druids do, and also can tank if needed. I would recommend the ranger, but its up to you.
Good luck!

You could hunt in North Ro easily and perhaps even parts of Oasis if you had a good group. As for your skills, both smithing and tailoring is good. Tailoring is harder to obtain materials for but high end tailored gear is pretty good for druids. Smithing on the other hand is easily more profitable in the long run but takes more money to increase your skills and since your a druid, you personally can't use most of what you make.
Anyway these are just my opinions, my main is a 44 druid smith, tailor, and a fair number of other things as well.

Hrrr hrrrr hrrrrrrrr!

Perhaps you should make a trip down to Grobb? We would be pleased to instruct you in the finer points of being a wood elf. My chefs could teach you how a WE is properly prepared when served with wild rice.

Do you need athletic training? Maybe in aerobic or cardiovascular strengthening? We can place our Barshers in charge of sprinting/running exercises that will have you running for your life! We could supplement that with a swimming program while you traverse the length and breadth of Da Swamp too.

Learning a foreign language is a good skill to have as well. Learn where we are searching for you by picking up phrases in Troll while lying in the bushes quivering in fear for your life. Hiding in the foliage has the added bonus of being a complementary skill while training for your career as a Ranger.

See? There is much to be gained by entering our accelerated education program in Southern Antonica. We are always willing to make room at our table for one more dish...errrr, I mean guest. So come on down and visit our fair city!

Why not come up to Kelethin and meet some of the town guards? I'm sure they'll be more than happy to 'greet' you. Anyway, trolls are cool. Strong, fat, and stinky. I liked my Wood Elf Warrior before I had to cancel my account 'cause my computer broke. Don't like all the spell casting and all that stuff. Get more dexerity for critical hits as a Wood Elf, which is good for a Warrior. Not the strongest thing around, but Wood Elf Warriors can hold their own. Anyway, good luck to ya.

A wood elf ranger is a very good choice for your starting character. Might I suggest hitting the ranger forum and looking for my posts on creating a ranger and playing one in Greater Faydark for levels 1-8.

Rangers are a great class for a beginner because they are quite well rounded. We can solo, we can group. We melee and cast. The only downside is because we do almost everything in game, we specialize in almost nothing. The exception to that is archery. But if you're just starting out in the game, a ranger is a great way to see all the game has to offer with one character.

A wood elf is the best race choice for a ranger, and a ranger or druid are probably the best class choices for a wood elf (though they do all the other offered classes well also, with a little bit of added work.) I would commend you on picking a wood elf ranger for your first character.

Once again, please look up my posts in the ranger forum on how to create, and start off a ranger. And good luck, young one!

Just to thow in my opinion. I have a ranger, he's a wood elf and I enjoy him very much. I agree with Mugali totally but I personally wouldn't suggest letting any skills slip including 2hs, however if that's your thing like its part of your character's personality and all then more power to you, most people use duel wield anyway but its all up to you. However, as for pure stats, half elves are better. In the end though EQ is just a game so do whatever is best for you.

Hey, I say go for it! actually do whatever you want. I thoroughly enjoy my wood elf ranger. Now that he can cast SOW I get around much better. Work you bow skill, 1HS, 1HB and piercing. I don't work 2HS for roleplaying reasons but I know that many formidable rangers do. Practice your fletching all the time. Don't ninja loot. Be gracious and honorable as Tunare would expect. May I suggest becoming the latest member of the Trolls? As an superior being of Darkness we are well versed in subtrefuge and deception. Become a Shaman and the rush of running as a wolf becomes yours at L9, speeding up your long trips around Norrath, earlier than any other class.

If you become Evil you can act as you please. No man or god can dictate to you how to live your life as a creature of Evil; thus the possibilities are endless. I am presently in the process of subverting Mugali from his precious false god, Tunare, and leading him, although reluctantly, to the worship of Innoruuk and the scintillating freedom of wickedness.

Innoruuk knows I certainly can use some woodland Rangers working in concert with my minions!

Note, dear friends, the parenthesis after my esteemed enemy's name. Do you see that? Deceased! Yes, dead. Lifeless-- well, not quite since Braag has enrolled the support of a gnome necromancer. But know that it was a TROLL who slew him. A Troll of mine as a matter of fact.

Do you see? Evil wins AGAIN. And again. And again. Ask Tochail about his wonderful colleagues who defected to the Darkness and renounced Tunare. Ask Tochail about his aunt who betrayed him to the Iksar.

Do not resist, dear elves, but rather, give in to the yearning you feel to do as you please, kill who you please, and worship who you please.

Hrrrrrr hrrrrrr hrrrrrrrrrr.

There is much enjoyment to be had by enlisting in my army's ranks. Soon Faydark will be crushed under my heel and you delicate wood elves have the choice: crush or be crushed. My suggestion? Choose Innorruk and live the full life!

RE: newbie question
# Nov 16 2001 at 11:58 PM Rating: Decent
I had some thoughts to add about wood elves but didn't know where to throw it, so this particular spot seems as good as any.

The skill Hide rules!! If you are melee, it lets you heal up in relative safety (depending on where you are at the time) and for casters, it lets you med safely too. The key is that it doesn't always work...so what you do is target something the /cons other than indifferent to you. If the hide is successful, it will change to indifferent, cuz you are now invis to them as long as you don't move.

BTW...for a druid, head to The Overthere at about 15. Hang out by the shore, you can solo yellows and sometimes even reds...without even kiting. (damage shield...dot...melee & nuke when you can)
At 19, Stonebrunt mountains served me well too.
RE: newbie question
# Nov 10 2001 at 2:28 PM Rating: Default
Put as many points as you can in wisdom, and I mean until it won't allow you to put anymore in. That brings you to about 115 base wisdom, if my memory serves me correctly. The rest is up to you. I believe there are 5 points left, for I remember putting 2 in str, and 3 in sta, for you are a melee for your first 20 levels, that just has the ability to cast. After level 20, you become a pure caster. No more melee for you. If you do try to keep melee-ing, you will soon see what I mean. You will miss more than land your hits. By the time you become a pure caster, you need to sit and med up and save as much mana as possible to be healer in groups, or backup healer, backup nuker, and the dots we have are amazing, not to mention if there is more than one mob coming at your group, and you are minus a chanter, you need to snare the extra and kite them around for crowd control.

Otherwise, when not in a group, teach yourself kiting (since that is a necessary skill anyway). You will need as much mana as possible for that. And when you learn to kite effectively, you will end up only using about half your mana bar one one mob. When I am kiting one mob, I've even been using less and less mana. And just watch when you get the abiltiy to quad kite. Much exp, much money, much fun.
RE: newbie question
# Nov 06 2001 at 9:51 AM Rating: Default
I chose to put all my extra points into wisdom since it is a Druids main need for mana. There are plenty of enhacing items you can buy from other players for stregth and such. But Druids are relied upon heavily for backup or main healer and snaring the MOB for fighters. Good luck and have fun. I know I am.. : )

RE: Ranger
# Nov 10 2001 at 10:33 AM Rating: Excellent
I put most of my points into agility at the start. As of my current level I have been able to obtain various strength, dex and stamina items. My buffed agility is now 137. Here is what I do know - I hit my targets a lot and I don't get hit as often. I think my base str at the beginning was 77.

As for you ranger sucking at low level, I believe that will be the case pretty much no matter where you put your points. Rangers don't even get some semblence of power until level 9 (spells) and you can start being a real ranger once you hit level 22 (better spells, dualwield and double attack). I recently hit level 30, so I can cast sow, which gives my character even more of a "feeling" of a true outdoorsman.

Above all, hang in there. I think if you read the strategy posts on rangers you will see they are a complex and varied class that requires some practice to use properly. Well met and good luck friend.

The Overthere in Kunark.
Dmg shield...DOT...Melee and Nuke.
You can do yellows pretty easy if you are careful...just stay away from the cockatrices...for some dumb reason, those stupid turkeys hit harder than the rhinos some times.
Treeform to med. The only aggro things there by the shore are sarnaks, and you can avoid them easy enough until you can take them.
Go into treeform, and nothing at all will bother you while you med.
(Personally, I didn't like Lavastorm at all. Seemed like you don't see a mob there by Najena for what seems like forever...you see one, pull it...and all of a sudden, there are three others on you.)

Go to Lavastorm and solo lava crawlers (these look like snakes). They are great xp and loot. I've only seen a "train" once. It consisted of a shadowed man, and they are easily avoided b/c of small agro radius. I advise to hunt them near entrance to Najena (big doors) rather than Nek. DON'T camp yourself by druid rings. Too many agro's. If you don't have a magic weapon, then take a mage with you. His pet can tank the crawlers while you two nuke with expulse and ward summoned. Lava crawlers are summoned. Actually, almost everything there is. beautiful and underhunted.
Also, you can play with the Nybright Sisters in Lesser Faydark and do thier quest (starts in Felwithe). Again great xp and occassional bronze or jewel. Or get into a group for Unrest. Once you get hang of it, fighting yard trash is some of the best xp.
DO NOT go to oasis of marr. Yeah, the xp is supposed to be great, but the loot bites, and lvl 14 spells aren't cheap.
and, yes, lvl 13 to 14 is probably the first hell-level we have to do. It felt like it took me forever to get there. I was so happy I was binding and sowing anyone who would let me.

A lot of times the merchants who aren't in place aren't because someone either killed them or got agro'd somehow (probably accidentally hit a before enter) and ran just far enough to pull them from thier place. This seems to happen ALOT with the banker. I've also had it happen with the jeweler, and she's the only one I can find to buy silver from on that continent.

If the merchant he mentions above isn't there, then petition a GM. In my experience, they are really good at returning the merchants to thier place, one way or another.

Oh, as to other question. I love woodelves, and I've played with some great WE bards. In my experience Half Elves have the best stats for bards to begin with. But, you should have much sucess with a wood elf.

The reason I made a WE Bard is because of all the great ones I've grouped with! I may still be lvl 10 and a newbie, but I'm lovin' every minute I play with him. I'd recommend the class for WD's, but of course it's all personal preference. Just a quick note, the lvl 10 song for the bard is in queyos (I spelled that wrong) or the bard guild in FreePort. You don't make Infravision "work", it is just "there". A Wood Elf (or High Elf, Dwarf, Half Elf, Troll, Ogre, Iksar) can see in the dark much better than a Barbarian, Erudite or Human, but not as well as a Dark Elf, who has Ultravision.

To get an idea of what I mean, just start up a human and take him outside away from the city during the night, and you will "see" the difference.

Right now I have a wood elf Bard, but I'm starting to feel that I don't really like playing a bard that much. I'm only lvl 2 right now, though. I really like woodelves, though. What is the best class for them? I don't want a ranger because I already have a 17 human ranger that I want to keep. Should I change to a druid, rogue, or keep the bard? Warrior isn't really an option for me. I don't see how a wood elf warrior would work. And one more thing, this is not Zhantse. Zhantse is gay. This is Trimp/Nesto/Stokes, Zhantse's brother.

First of all, don't disregard any class because of race. Your class will determine what your are capable of a lot more then race will. Ex. My main is a lvl 40 dark elf sk. My gf's main is a lvl 34 wood elf warrior. Unequiped She, the warrior has slightly more hps then the lvl 40 sk. Warrior hps vs. hybrid hps at work. I play the warrior a lot cause I like to play duel wielding characters sometimes and she rocks pretty good. The thing you must realize is that warriors aren't meant to run around in battle. They are meant to stand there toe to toe and duke it out MEANING warriors rely more on grouping to do much. They don't get around nearly as well as rangers (sow/invis) or sks (invis/IVU/fd). Not sure on pallies. Regardless, instead of thinking how one is better then the other think instead on how one class can help another. In that aspect warriors don't have a lot to offer, but it doesn't mean they don't do their part. Personally, any class is good. In my experience there are only three all important stats. If you are a melee go all Strength. It directly effects how much you can carry (read equip), or Int if an int caster or wis if a wis caster. Place the remaining points in whatever superstition you beleive in.
Hybrids. You are fighters FIRST. Casters LAST. Allot points correspondant to this, you won't regret it. Due to the fact that you usually don't have time to keep medded up in groups like pure casters do, you'll not be able to cast a lot when the group is pulling quickly or you'll quickly go oom. (That's my xp.)
Enchanters can make a hybrids day. I know as an sk I can cast my three stats taps, atk, str and ac on every pull when I have clarity, and that just rocks. Ac tapping every pull makes all the meleers better. I have to conserve mana when I don't have a mana regen buff and usually just ac tap all pulls, and tap str and atk when needed to just keep myself buffed. Rangers and Paladins, I'm sure work the same.
Regardless, wood elves can play any role they choose effectively, so don't think that you can't be a good tank just becuase you don't start with str and sta over 100. Sure, and ogre warrior will do more damage and have more hps then a wood elf warrior but I just can't see how that small difference would make someone not want a warrior in your group just because they are wood elf/dark elf/halfling etc.
You'll be welcome in my group at least. That's my 2cp. Go with what seems the most fun with you, and ***** the opinions of others I say. Disregard everything I've just posted if you don't aggree. Just have fun.
40th lvl sk. A knight first, and always.

While its generally better to choose class before race, If you want to do it the other way aroud there's nothing wrong with that. My opinion, hence the word *OPINION* Is the ranger. I know everyone thinks they suck, but they're wrong. Why do I like the ranger? Well, we cant melee as well as the warrior, but our druid side helps us be self-sufficient and make it so the fight isn't even when we go fight that big tough barbarian warrior (I hope you read this, Kiladdar!). First, we root them, (after buffing ourselves, of course) and then rain death in the form of arrows down at the enemy. If we are high enough level, we can have Sow on ourselves and run off to med or keep shooting and running so the warrior can never catch up, especially if he's ensnared. If it works, we can wear him down enough to fight him straight, as we are definetely not helpless in the melee department. If we have sow and/or he is ensnared I suppose you could run off and med by using the healing spells, but they are usefull only for reducing downtime (Although this is self-sufficiency, isnt it?). Because of this, we can solo, and our tracking ability helps a lot in groups (and soloing for that matter) because we can find that elusive spawn before the big stupid necromancer is even in the zone, and we make great pullers and secondary tanks due to bows, snare, and melee competence (not mastery, but we are very competent as tanks) I also use tracking to scout out the area as soon as I enter the zone, because the names on the menu are colored the conning colors, telling you what your up against before you go and get killed. In fact, the only weakness of a ranger that I can think of is our not being able to wear plate armor. My response to this: WHO CARES? A banded bp is 15 ac and a plate is 17. Big diff, huh? But my ranger is only level 9, and he can afford banded, but plate? No way! Now I know theres magical plate and all of that stuff, but to me, armor is for armor class. Now this is where the wood elf comes in. A Fier `Dal ranger has a natural agility of 105. What does agility affect? One, how often your charachter is hit, and two, although to a lesser extent, his ac. This means that by choosing a wood elf you get back the lost ac of plate armor, as well as the highest wisdom of all the ranger races (more mana) infravision (In yo' FACE Gwydon) forage at level 1 (although every other ranger gets it at lvl 3...) and an innate resistance to fire and cold. (not that anyone cares about that, but whatever...). I like druids, and wood elves are great druids, although halflings are slightly better, and I like bards for roleplaying and being unique (I like to do both) but I think halfelves are better at the bard thing. And A wood elf warrior is a very overlooked combination (I love roleplaing and being unique, like I said earlier, and wood elf wars are great for that) and they arent bad rogues. (I hear halflings are better at that too, but I cant confirm that). Bottom line: Choose whatever you want to. I made a High Elf Paladin (go to the pally forum, whoever knows anything about high elf paladins, I got a question) just because I wanted to make him a high elf and not a dwarf, even though dwarves are better at it. Just have fun, but I personally love rangers. Hope this helps.

P.S. Kiladdar and Gwydon are my friends, Kiladdar a barb war and Gwydon a Human ranger. K. wont even try a caster because hes obsessed with Barbarians and warriors, and G. has this thing for human rangers, thinking theyre puny ten point difference in strength causes humans to be far superior to wood elves. (oh, what about the wood elf agility of 105 compared to youre insufferably *WEAK* 85?!) Sorry there, carried away...

Rangers do make good tanks. However, in later levels they can not be the main tank. The Warrior outdoes the Ranger in giving and recieving damage at higher levels. And as far as ensnaring a Warrior dueling a Ranger, what does that prove? Gives the Ranger the unfair advantage and proves nothing about being able to out do a Warrior in hand to hand. Also, Rogues are a good class for a Wood Elf, if you understand how to play that class. They can do a lot of damage. It's hard to decide the best class for a Wood Elf as we all have different views and likings. Some may be best with a Warrior, others may be best with a Druid. I say experiment with each class until you find the one you want.

The best class for a wood elf would be a druid. I have a lvl 32 druid who ROCKS. I level up really quick, and when you hit 29 making money is easy. Combine this with smithing ( because we can imbue things ) Druids can make alot of cash. On top of this druids are great outdoors to solo with. The have a great line of spells and are very useful in groups as well. Try the druid , just my 2 cp.

This is just anoter perk of being a Bard, being a singer, you should learn to tell stories, I know many a bard on Drinal who has exchanged stories for money, loot, heals, buffs, and all sorts of things, if you become good at it, many peopel will become friends with you try it!

Warriors actually is a good option, throw some points into strength and get strength increasing jewelry and armor and you will do fine. The only drawback is that they regenerate health pretty slow, but are fast and therefore almost impossible to hit at higher levels. Druids and Rangers are probably the best classes for wood elfs, and if you are either of those the wolfs will love ya.

I agree. Wood Elf druids are wonderful, being one and all.

I would keep the bard a little longer, though. Being a bard improves ALOT as you advance. also, you get a song every lvl, which increases your usefulness lvl by lvl and is easier for saving up money. Try to play the bard through Lvl 10. If you still aren't satisfied, make a druid. By lvl 10, you will get an idea if you really like this character or not, and you will not have wasted too much time.

Oh, IMO, the best class for a bard is the Half Elf. I tested human, wood elf and half elf and got best starting stats on the Half Elf for a bard.

This is in response to begging. I can't stand it either. My guild has a rule. If you need something, you go to your guild. But you don't go begging.

I mean, come on, we are elves.

1. I just don't see an Elf begging. I see high elves do it all the time, and it just blows my mind. IMO, if they were RPing a High Elf, they wouldn't be begging. Same with Woodelves, really.

but..

2. I just don't see the Wood Elves as NEEDING to beg. Firstly, maybe it's the classes available to the WE's, the tree living, and my understanding of the basic concept of the WE's, but I really get the feeling that it's an almost communal society. Maybe not so much as the less civilized, like barbarians. But we aren't High Elves. One, our priests are still nature-based (druids) while the more "civilized" High Elves have Clerics. A nature based society, which if not equal between 'archs (grin) is probably matriarchal. Such societies also tend to be close-knit.
IE, we stick together. From an RP stand-point you'd be more likely to see Woodelves passing things along to newer generations than you would from High or Dark. And I've seen alot of Woodelves do just that.

I could see Half Elves begging. No offense to them. Just in Human cities, I could see them as outsiders, and they might be new to elf cities. Depending on what kind of story you make for your woodelf, you might still be a beggar. Maybe you beg to teach others a lesson, that they don't have to hold onto thier possessions and could easily pass them on to someone with need. Maybe you're a con-artist and bank what you get, then sell it off. And "oops" if that person sees you again, you lost your corpse to some mob in some zone you were exploring.

But, I really don't see why people should be /shout begging for hand-outs. Even beggars on a street corner can only be heard so far. Certainly not clear across town! If you're going to beg, please just do in in /say so that only people around you can hear.

Now, what I consider begging is anyone asking for hand-outs. You're new and want money armor? Go asking for it, you're begging. Lost corpse? Still begging. Hey, been there, done it. Lost some REALLY good gifts in the qeynos aqueducts.

What I don't consider begging: Asking for a bind. Asking for SoW for a long trip or CR.

Asking for buffs otherwise is...kinda like it. Okay, you're probably asking for something you either aren't for level to get or can't get at all. So it's not like you're asking for a freebie so you don't have to work for it. :) So I don't really consider that begging. But, unless you just can't find appropriate class-for-buff near you or can't ID them on a /who, try not to shout it.

Now, for all you who are new to the game or having trouble making money:

Alright, for many levels, leather armor will do you much good, and it's easy to get. What you don't have of it, you can fill in with Tattered from turning in Orc Belts.

You're level one, right? So go out and kill the following:
Bats
Skeles
Sell anything you loot EXCEPT for Bat Wings and Bone Chips to merchants. You should be able to build a couple of stacks of both.

Bone Chips you can sometimes sell for between 5 and 10 plat some nights. Don't go below 3 plat, but if you're not getting any takers, sell'em for 3 plat.
Batwings I usually sell for 2 plat. Apparently this is a good price, because people usually offer me a little more plat for them. :)

You can probably store up a couple of stacks of each easily, so you're looking at between 10 and 16 plat. You should be able to get this built up by lvl 4. This is when you will need the leather.

Aluwenae, who is just off newbie lift, sells leather armor. Buy from her what you can afford. You cheifly want to get the following: Shirt, Pants, mask, cape, and wrist bands. If you can afford it, then get other components as well. But if you can't, don't worry. You will be able to fill it in with tattered soon enough if you want.

Lvls 3 and 4 you want to kill spiderlings. Collect silk. You can also sell it in stacks, or build up your tailoring skill and make your own armor as you go. :)

At lvl 5, you can start taking on Cents. If you turn in your Orc Belts to Conloe Nusback in Kaladim, you get tattered armor. Usually gloves, sleeves, hat, boots (maybe), and a small shield.
I usually take a couple of back packs at a time there.

You can also sell your belts for about 1 plat a peice. I wouldn't do that right away. This is really good xp. I would turn in some. If you are able to aquire lots of belts, turn in some and sell some. Then you can lvl easily AND make lots of money.

Other hunting tips: hunt in stacks. What I mean is, until you can afford to buy bags (don't waste money on small bags, just buy large and backpacks) hunt mobs that drop stackables. You can sell royaljelly and wings by the stack. Also, the sacs that wasps drop will get you a few gold.

Don't forget mail delivery. Taking mail from Felwith to Kelethin will usually get you a few gold at a time.

Work hard, and people will be willing to help you out on thier own. Try to help others where you can. It builds Karma. Learn your way around cities and zones. Offer to (for free) guide people new to the area around. This has, in the past, been well rewarded, but I would do it anyway because I know what it's like to not know my way around. If you are a bard or ranger or just really know your way around, offer to help with corpse runs. And when you do get help, remember to pass it on when you can help someone. Even if all you can do is buff.

Oh, if I'm in zone with you, I will happily buff! If I'm not camped at a mob with a group, I will even summon food and water for you.

So, peace to you and good journey

I disagree on one point.

Beggin in a zone with a bank for a SOW for corpse run is the same. Just because a player dies, it's no excuse for begging.

I think it horrible play to leave everything you own on your body. Not only should you always keep a few plat in the bank, but many other items that you may need if you die. For instance, races that cannot see at night should keep a lightsource in the bank. On new characters I even keep a compass in the bank so I know I can find my way if I die.

Personally, I think this type of person is just an expibitionist who just stuck everything they own IN the bank so they can bug other payers and let everyone see them in the nude. )

Soft wicker drops in the warrens off of the higher level kobalds(highest is about 30 , but Really easy to get the stuff at level 20+ if you are grouped)
It has low ac and no stats, I dont think that it is magic, If i had a choice I would stick with leather..

I like the look of soft wicker on woodelves. It is green. Very woodelf like (if we don't have the better stuff). It's especially cool for a druid.
