A-Z guide for HIGH elfs!
# Aug 29 2000 at 12:14 AM Rating: Decent
i have a 28th paladin,i know all this stuff from experience,i have a magician high elf too. now, when making a high elf it is CRITICAL that you give them str, because(especially with pallys) otherwise you can't carry the armor, and you generally, regret it!my pal had 76 str, now(thanks to at least 1k of pp) she has armor that gives her 95 str! but casters, need the int,and enchanters especially need the charisma.int=mana!

there IS a north felwithe!this is where casters go to to turn in notes, get spell components, get spells!

anyway,i suggest you hunt around the felwithe gates, but at half way through 1 i went to the ruins near kelethin(the tree city) BIG mistake!just stay near felwithe gates till about 3rd lvl then go to kelethin, hunt orcies near ruins(they spawn a lot there) then around oh 5-6 when the newbie mobs green out,go to orc lift(3rd lift at kelethin,i had trouble finding it at first, but ask someoen to guide you and you will learn it VERY quickly)hunt at orc hill in a group, and you will get MEGA exp!then when you get board there (around 6-9) go to CB!warning,if you look up dangerous in the EQ dictionary, there will a screen shot of CB!(aka crushbone)
WARNING!!!!!!!!
DO NOT i repeat DO NOT try to solo crushbone,if you do not play a caster!if you don't cast root,or have a kick butt pet,you had better be in a group, unless you are on a suicide mission!!

ofcourse, when you get sick of CB,(or if it scares you) go to BB(butcher block) it is about the same lvl as CB,a little lower maybe, and there are tons of mobs!but beware, basilisks can stun you!! anyway,it is just plain GREAT exp!

then about 13-15 try out unrest, but be ready to run,at ANY,and EVERY time! one good thing, you get MASSIVE cash!in weapons,or in coinage!but in dagnors(go through BB to dagnors, then to unrest, they are all attached) there are reletively high lvl gobs!some are blue to my pally!namely tidal lords!and they are READY TO ATTACK! i suggest invis!one other good thing about unrest, you usually find people you will run with for the rest of your characters life!

after that,MM(mistmoore) around 20-22 lvl is best with group!BUT have a enchanter these vampire dark elfs gang up! and with a group you can take all the yard trash thrown at ya!BUT do not EVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES go into that tower!things ee through invis in there!and are deeep daaark red! but the hill is a GREAT point to camp.if you notice the 40-58th lvl people, they hunt stuff in/deep deeep in that tower which is attached to he castle!MM is located in Lfay, avoid teir dal,and shadow men.
PHAT LOOT:MM sheild!THE BEST untill about 40th lvl!semi=rare drop off glyphed ghoul,he spawns near hill.ALSO the MM drum, from gypsie dancers,or something.bards ADORE it!i here it is best drum in the game!

after that, well caz thule is great at about 28th,when stuff greens out in MM.these mean little lizards are rude(stickin g there tongues out and all) so teach them to have better manners,by killing them!in addition a lot of enchanter stuff drops in here!silver wand from silver yard, gloves from radient.for mages:broom, shovel, stein, and torch. this is ALL i know of!but i am sure therfe is more!

this is it,for now.whne i get to a high er lvl i will let you know about the newest, best places to hunt!

REMEMBER:you are a high elf, dignity and grace sum up your name!do not let beggers get the better of you!KICK THEIR BOOTIES ALL THE WAY TO ERUDIN!

may tunare bless you,

Felwithe's secrets (not too many though)

a few things about felwithe you might want to remember:
1) Do Not skrew up faction with felwithe ,erudin, and arakon. these three cities have all the important mage spells for good races.

2) the guards couldn't care less if you kill that bard guy. Its bad faction with quenos guards and bards everywhere but since hes the highest i have seen so far...(around 30) all bards are good exp and are a 2 level miscon meaning if they con yellow to you you can take em out if you are a caster, they use no songs and very seldom have weapons.

3)if you are an enchanter remember that the guards here hate elementals. friend found this out the hard way :)

4) there is a coin in the bottom of the lake unless you know what its for LEAVE IT THERE.

5) there is a secret passage in the pally guild bottom floor. through the circle painting. high level pally shield quest begins here.

6) the cleric guild is the best place by far to buy spells for clerics and pallies.

7) all the spells that are universal to all casters are found in the fist building you see upon zoning into south felwithe.

8)there is a West Felwithe. there isn't really hehe. just keeping you awake :)

9)if you are going to be a wizard or magician i would look at being a gnome instead. just take a small look. the stats are slightly better in STR and INT but worse in CHA. if you don't mind and have no other reason to be a high elf i would consider switching since the cities are close enough to move your little gnome butt over to Gfay and get a bind. enchanters of course need the CHA and in my opinion High elves and erudites make the best enchanters.

thats all thanks for reading!

The coin is for an enchanter quest involving coins in every city of Antonica, Faydwer, and Odus.

A high-level enchanter quest.

Leave the coin there ;)

Playing a High Elf
# Aug 17 2000 at 5:15 PM Rating: Good
High Elves are a great race to play. I personally play a High Elf, and enjoy it very much. They have infravision, which makes night vision alot easier. High Elves begin in a great newbie zone, Greater Faydark. At the first few levels, it is smart to stay close to the Felwithe gates when hunting, because if you get into trouble you can run to the gaurds. Once you reach your forth or fifth level, you can progress to the orc camp. To get to the orc camp you can follow the zone wall to the right out of the Felwithe gates, or take the path to the Kelethin orc lift (the third lift from Felwithe) and go from there. You will need to hunt in a group at the orc lift until about level 7 or 8, though you may be able to solo to some extent before then. At level eight, you can hunt in Crushbone, Butcher Block Mountains, or hunt bandits in a group in Lesser Faydark. High Elves are considered a neutral/good race, but are more on the good side, so you will be killed on sight in the evil cities. I throughly enjoy my High Elf, so I hope you enjoy yours as well if you choose this race.

Oh, no you don't! I'm still L-A-S-T, last! that is the way this game works, buddy. Growing up has nothing to do with it. It's all about being LAST!
