Ok it is true that war is good with half elf but the best? maybe,ok they look good in plate but ogers are really ugly but also good. It all matters about how u play and use ur skill points.
One thing is dark elfs suck as warriors iam sorry to say but there look with bronze amor makes up for it.

Ok, I am sure this is a dumb question but....
The major thing I cannot figure out how to do is target a creature while in full screen mode. Related to this is that I have programmed the set of buttons on the lower left hand side of the windowed mode, but fail to understand how to program the 36 "Hot Keys".

I have a 55 warrior but started when EQ came out and never read up on it ( so I figured it was like the normal D&D big mistake

K, so I'm a lvl 10 HEF rang looking for stuff to kill that will make me a LOT o money. I'm sick o being proud o the 4 or so plat i have in the bank. Right now I'm in the Qeynos/Surefall area takin a few trips to Kerra and the Karanas. So where do I go??

YOu can go to Faydwer too, go to Kelethin and get a bind and then join a group and go in to Crushbone. you will get Crushbone belts and Lego pads, CB belts go for 1pp each and Lego Oads go for 2pp each !

Ok, if you only have about 4 plat in the bank, this should seem like a fortune to you. Try to get a port around the Freeport/East Commonlands area. Get into an orc group in EC. If you pick up any Deathfist Belts, you can sell them for 2pp Each! The only letdown of this strategy is that if you wanted to train at your guild after each lvl, you would need to get a port back near Qeynos.

Does it seem to me only that Half-Elfs should be able to be monks?Human/<any other race>Half-elfs would make great monks!And look awesome in wu's.They have the stats,the looks everything hehe.Verant should really let half-elf's be monks.

Half-elves cannot be monks because monks can wear robes and Varent is too lazy to make a half-elf sized robe model. Doesn't it seem odd that we have human like intelligence, but ogre-like wisdom (we are the 2nd lowest), yet we can only be wisdom based casters?

my guy is a little twink but anyway me and a friend had warriors that were the same lv 23 hes a bar im a half elf he has full crafted me too, i have to ssoy he has a ssoy and beetle steeinger. SO we dueled i wooped him i hit 10 times the speed he did he was slow but hit hard no worry i was like a little pirhana and he was a big stupid elephant but anyways i nailed him. HALF ELF 4 LIFE >=)

Welcome to EQ!Now,you <might> want to consider switching to a warrior/cleric combo instead if you plan to play alot together.This will let you "solo" together for a much longer time.A halfelf warr and a high elf cleric will keep you in the elf family-sorry,woodies cant be clerics.Really,the warr/cleric duo is the best way to go for an EQ couple to go!Something to think about,anyway.

As a High elf Cleric the stats has to be at STR and WIS
if you choose a Dwarf CLR just WIS (dwarf id better Clr)
as a HEF War i dunno, STR STA and maby AGI, most TSR and STA tho!!

I saw somewhere in the post about half elves being weaker. Since when? You will need items to get as strong but it's easy. I'm a level 48 Warrior on Quellious here are my stats.
Str - 229
Dex - 140
Agi - 142
Sta- 102
Sorry only thing I lack is a good sta hit. When I use the effect of my cobalt my str is one away of being maxed out for the game (Which is 255). Anytime I group with another warrior, I ask, Hey bud what's your strength at? Usually they say it's 180-200(Even the barbs Trolls and Ogre's say the same) They'll reply, what's yours man? I'll say 254 with the cobalt effect. Ever seen a Half Elf pick up "dos week il Ogres and trow dem round likes um il dollie?"
Everyone says, Ogre's are the best warrior's because of their str, they don't have to sacfice other stats.. Doesn't look like to me I've sacficed a damn thing..
And yes we are the most Smoov and Crayme lookin race out there.

WTF 102 sta at level 54? D00D thats the most important stat for warriors, I would never group with a war that has that low sta =\

lets say an ogre has the same gear as you though. He'll have way more sta, and his str will be maxed even if he takes some stuff off so he can then use some resist gear. Its not only that they have more str than you while you have better dex/agi. They have a total of more atr. points to start out with, which means eventually they will not need as much stuff to max out their stats and will have more resist gear, making them better warriors.

Yes, they do have infravision. And they look cool in banded armor, too.

Half elves look good in banded??? HALF ELVES LOOK SICK IN BANDED!!! Why? because we look to damn sexy in fine plate to look good in anything else. Nothing sexier than a half elf bard in lambent or a half elf warrior in crafted or fp. HALF ELVES RULE!!!

Makes me wanna play a DE/Human/Wood Elf/Whatever female actually has LEGS... And some people of every race should have short and long hair...

This is where I should throw in a comment like the reason for the metal butt flap is to protect your backside when us trolls are spanking ya or worse, however, I suspect your metalsmith just didn't tailor your suit of armor very well. Go back and ask them for an alteration-- they should do it when you show them your receipt. As a rule I always get my metal suits at the Trolls Wearhouse ("I guarantee it!") since they do free tailoring and adjustments. I find after a good meal of tasty elves my waistline expands leaving my Bloodstained Tunic a little tight. I went to the Wearhouse and bought a Sans-a-Belt Tunic there and haven't had any trouble fitting into my clothes ever since. Hope this helps!

Today I made lvl 11 today and the plains reek with the scent of life. My arrows have been flying true and I hope that my kills are plenty. I am liked in all the towns that I travel to and the animals rarely aggro on me without cause... Life is great in the plains except the occassional hill giant that ruins your day. I see arguments take place on the plains between many different people. I find that being a solitary person is much simpler. I choose where and when I hunt... Others can deal with their own problems and I will let them. Fighting amongst selves solves little. They have to have the sense and the will to make the choices of reason.
Patience is a weapon of great strength to those that can learn to wield it.....
Thus say a wise one =)

It seems to me that a person should play any class and race tha suits them. I was once told that it really does not matter which one you pick since tha game is based on equality of race and class.... Now a question is there a quest that gives a Pally sword which looks as if the blade is on fire?
I agree with the picking the race. However I like to choose a race that I'd like to play, then choose the classes avaiable to them.. isnt easier than that.
and yes, Paladins do get a quest in which the rewards are a Holy sword which looks like it is on fire, the Fiery Avenger and Fiery Defender, look them up, VERY nice swords for a paladin (thats why i practise 2hs as well as 1hs....)

How do you level up pickpocket without lossing tons of experience. everytime i try i get no money and killed. Any suggestions would help
When I solo greens and blues I keep the Pick Pocket hot key ready. I will open with a BS, hit pick pocket, hit auto attack until the BS is avialable again. Then hit BS, turn off auto attack, pick pocket, turn on auto attack and wait for BS to be ready again. Wash, rinse, repeat.
Don't try this while soloing higher level MOBs since you will likly get trashed. This technique will reduce your DOT so it takes longer to kill the MOB.

A fellow Rogue's advice is to pickpocket what you are attacking while in a group. A courteous thief will make sure they have their group's permission to practice & share items that are lifted that other group members could use, i.e. pages, gems, etc. ...share the loot. (Your successes also display in text) It's neat when you lift a gold or two :) Good Luck!

I think HALF-ELF PALADIN'S ARE THE BEST! they get good strength,dexterity,agility bonueses. pretty acceptable wisdom and intelligence and very high charisma :)

don't bother with the wis; sure half elves have sucky wis, but really it makes no difference. Go al sta... MAYBE 5 str, but as a tank you need sta
Yes i agree with you, Hal Elf paladins are VERY cool. They have good stats apart from stamina and wisdom, so i just put 10 into wis and str at the begining and stack up the items. My str is 102, sta 95, agilty is 105 and wis is 87, very good for a tank who casts in his free time!

Hello i am going to make a new brewing char but i dont know if i should make a half elf witch i think looks the best "hehe" or a high elf witch i think will be better because they have higher int and wis witch helps brewing with a better chance of succeding in the combos and int helps raise stats faster witch should i do?
