Looking for some help on making this armor. I have completed making the crystalwing Sewing kit and the Silverwing Embrodery needle.

I have tried vaious combinations of the materials but havent been able to figure out what goes into the sewing kit when and in what order to make the leather swatch ect.

I guess that i cannot choose your color.....i tried to get the fire...only talked to the red council member but the dragon would not talk to me...the only one that would was Osh'vir the blue dragon.
To find out your ancesteral dragon is to open your inventory...click face and at the top of the box is your color.........This is what i was able to find out. find out..I tried many things but was not able to pick my own color breath wep.=)If there is a way u could pick and choose your color i was not able to get it working

For a mage, I would go for either Red, or Gold... red debuffs fire resistance on the target, and gold debuffs magic resistance. Your fire nukes are obviously fire-based, and your blade-type spells are all magic-based.

From what i remember gold breath weapon drops all resists down a bit... ie if red drops fire 10 points... gold drops all resits like 2 points... I could be mistaken but i think thats what i read in a post a while back when i started my first drakkin...

just looked it up in the spells section now

I see and have the book for making the armor but i will have to train in tailoring and probablu blacksmithing to get the armor. I was wanting to know if I can buy the Armor in the bazaar? Or can anyone offer assistance on how the best/easy way of coming about this armor?

You can buy the armor in the bazaar, if another drakkin makes it. Otherwise, if you don't want to rely on other people you can always make it yourself.

ANYONE can get Iksar faction, 1) Thew old fashion way I did with my ogre war back in 2002 was the bonechip quest for Mozo which literally took months and 2) do the dagger turnin in LOIO by killing the miserable softskin elves in the windmill and looting thier daggers then turning into the iksar thats by the pillars by the hill on the way back to cabilis. Those daggers give you faction with most of the city, BUT, if you go at night, beware of the necromancer in the first bldg to your left as you go past the shaman temple , hehehe , He WILL kill you.

Yes, you can *get* faction with Iksar as a Drakkin. No one was contesting that. The statements made earlier are that the MAXIMUM esteem a Drakkin can obtain from an Iksar is to be considered dubiously.

To my knowledge, all other races are able to work for the Iksar Empire to such a degree that they are regarded in a more favorable light by the Iksar. As I suggested earlier, all Drakkin worship Veeshan, a god responsible for the creation of one of the Iksar's most hated foes (perhaps behind only the Shissar), the dragons.

As a Drakkin SK I could NEVER get above dubious to the Iksar- In fact, to complete Greenmist I had to use Iksar illusions. With the potions I was up to aimiable, but without them..the only thing I could do in Cabilis was Bank....but I was happy to walk around freely- otherwise.

I guess old hatreds die hard with the Iksar, I am sure they are welcome in Crescent Reach.

I think all Drakkin- reguardless of their chosen path- will never reach any level of trust with the lizards.

Venril Sathir faction is KOS as well-again an old quarel with our Dragon forefathers.

I am very proud of infiltrating the Iskar empire for the Shadow Knight's prize-heh, Put a big smile on Draton`ra's face when I brought it back and laid it at his feet

Here is the full story of how the Drakkin came into existence:

"After Venril Sathir's curse was released into the Nest and destroyed the dragon eggs, it was clear that the future of dragonkind was in danger. With the next generation of dragons lost forever, Veeshan's bloodline was in jeopardy. Six dragons - who were children of the Nest - proposed a plan to their elders: the creation of a race to protect dragons and the Wyrmqueen's bloodline, something they had seen done once before.

The six dragons were scoffed at by the elders of the Nest, but they were so adamant with the idea that the elder dragons ordered their exile, so their ideas would not gain a foothold. To the elders, it was unthinkable. The six left the Nest and ignored the decree of the elders. They settled in the nearby Serpent Spine Mountains to carry out their plan to create a new race to protect the existence of Veeshan's bloodline on Norrath. They would create a race of dragon-touched humans and call them Drakkin which means "Dragon Child" in the language of the elders.

They called themselves the Circle of the Crystalwing, defining them as the future of dragonkind. The six dragons in the Circle: Venesh the Greenblood; Draton`ra, Master of the Void; Keikolin, Bringer of Enlightenment; Mysaphar, Seeker of All; Atathus the Red Lord; and Osh`vir the Windspirit. In human form, the dragons traveled to Freeport and combed through the taverns and inns, looking for the right humans to suit this new race. The honorable dragons found many who sympathized with their plight and plans and agreed to help right the wrongs that mortals inflicted on dragons of the Nest by unleashing Venril's curse. Many humans considered it a great honor. The darker dragons were not so willing to negotiate and simply took the human subjects they desired. Each human taken was touched by the magic of a single drop of dragon’s blood across their cheek.

In only a matter of months, the dragon-touched humans began to experience changes, a coming-of-age that became known as the Awakening. It is then that the latent strengths they inherit from their dragon bloodline surface and they have a burning desire to better understand them. Their hair takes on new texture and color – the same color as the dragon that touched them. Parts of their skin show small, toughened scales, and runic patterns representing their new race began to show on their face, torsos and legs – all in the color of their dragon progenitor. Delicate horns appear in patterns on their foreheads. They are the essence of beauty to most that see them.

As their new traits develop, the drakkins yearn to meet their parents. They find themselves on a pilgrimage into the Serpent Spine Mountains. Their final destination is the ancient abandoned ogre city of Nokk, now alive with drakkin who calls it Crescent Reach.

As they enter the Dragon’s Grove of the great stone city where their parents await them, their human past is lost forever. It is from their parents that the drakkin learn their purpose – to live and grow stronger to protect the future of Veeshan's bloodline on Norrath. With their new identity affirmed, their drakkin life truly begins."

besides that, the drakkins actually know little about themselves.. the city and the race are on a goal to uncover more about themselves, i think i read that somewhere at least.

Lore?
# May 02 2007 at 2:21 PM Rating: Decent
There is tons of drakkin lore. Well, it's more like the dragon lore that is indirectly responsible for the drakkin race. But, as a new race, they don't have much history themselves yet.

I've got quite a few of the drakkin/crescent reach books typed up on my guild's website - eqhouseillumine.com - though you can find the books by right clicking on Librarian Hemfar in Crescent Reach... he's got tons.

I roleplay on the Firiona Vie server as a drakkin druid, and I've had a great time looking for and figuring out all the dragon lore/drakkin lore so I can play my character correctly. *smiles* There really is a ton of it though, and there are a few ways that certain things can be taken, depending on how you look at it. But it's been great fun reading it all.

Do you have any specific questions that you were wanting to know? I can try to answer to the best of my ability.

Iksar have a seething, unbridled hatred for Drakkin. Worse than most, and that's saying something. I have maxxed my faction with four of the five Cabilis factions, and I'm still dubious. Drakkin all worship Veeshan, and Iksar have a problem with dragons, seeing as how one kicked them all out of their old home.

The fact that you're not an Iksar makes you KOS as it is, but worshipping Veeshan is almost unforgivable.

I think the other races will have problems based on your class. Playing an SK, I started KOS to Firiona Vie residents (Explorers in Lake of Ill Omen), but didn't care, since I want Greenmist.

Have anyone noticed how much food and water your Drakkin consume? I have asked many Drakkin friends, but they are of other colours, I'm Black. My character consume huge amount of food and water each day. Would say around 40-50 of each on a playday, 12-14 hours. (That's a playday in realtime that is)

Anyone else noticed any of this? I had a thought it could be dependent on your heritage, but that's just an thought.

Try 1 Plains Pebble infront of your water cash for the water consumption (this is an Old Games Myth), and any hardy or better for the food till you get your AA's.
Jump less; also we drakkins cant help but to run great distances every 5th level.

Breath Weapons???
# Nov 09 2006 at 2:48 AM Rating: Decent
yes, ALL Drakkin get the breath weapon, but they must do the quests for it. Start with hailing the Inn Clerk who will send you to see someone in the council. once he says you are ready to talk to the council you speak to the council member of your color. Each one has you do a quest and then you can speak to the dragon of your color who will give you a quest. Once completed you receive your first lvl breath. I got my first at lvl 5. Next one is available at 10 I am told. You talk to your dragon to get the quest for each new lvl. you can do the other color quests, but not get thier breath weapon. From what I gather red is fire, green is poison, and black is disease. Gold is all breaths, but in weaker form. Not sure of the others yet. hope this helps

Ok, I know im going to get flammed for saying this, however, I don't like em, what is more 'middle of the road' than a human? well how about a Drak?....

I could have thought of many other races that would have been eaisier to make playable. Lets say like Skele's for example, wearing plate, higher regen that iksar, but, KOS everywhere.

The animation on them is just plain silly. For a race infused with dragon blood you would think they would move a little more eliquently, not like they are tripping over thier own feet, or afraid to sit down. The fact that sony did not allow them to dye armor infuriated me as well. Sorry Sony, but, i never did care for the color on crusty armor.

As for the rest of the expansion, ok the zones are pretty, but that is about it.
100% regen out of combat in 3 minutes? Ok, lets just make it alot easier for warriors to solo without ever learning about group dynamics. As if those silly MMs were not enuff.

Sony, please, for the love of god, quit while your behind.

Heritage Color / Breath?
# Sep 22 2006 at 11:07 AM Rating: Decent
So does anyone know for certain the difference/benefit from being one color from another? All I have heard so far is that each one is a different type of attack ie;

Blue - Magic
Red - Fire
Black - Disease
Green - Poison
White - Cold
Gold - All 5? But at 1/5th the potency?

Thats what I've heard so far, not sure which is true etc. Can anyone confirm these and the info about the gold dragon? Seems it would be nice to have all the options but at 1/5th the power, dunno.

Thanks!

The answer to both of these is that Drakkin are not a savage race. Both shaman and beastlords are reserved for the savage (or large) races which includes Vah Shir, Trolls, Ogres and Barbarians (correct me if I forgot any). Drakkin are considered a medium race.

Managed to get on for about an hour last night, decided to create a drakkin warrior. The starting point is not in the city; but is in the Gloomingdeep mines. Has been a long time since I had created a new char and either I missed it or they changed the char selection as you could not chhose what areas to put bonus points into. It seems they have already added the bonus points. Also these guys kill like mad, no mob ever got me below 60% and the early exp rocked. Dinged to level 4 in about 30 mins of actual playing, the missions are really easy and the story line seems pretty good. I have gotten tired of the level 70 grind so this is a fun experience. I was untwinked and never did find my guild leader so I need to put those points into abilities, unfortunately the server went down right in the middle of playing. If anyone knows where the city is would appreciate the info

you can change the points, they just don't give you the lump sum to move around--rather they apply the lump sum and it's up to you to change it. note the stat(s) with the green numbers and press the minus "-" key next to the stat(s). that'll put them up top so you can redistribute them as you see fit.

After I got that I took the escape tunnel and it sent me to Crescent Reach, not sure if its a bug or not, always used to send me to pok with other races but can try that for now. Also I've heard that there is a stone in PoK that puts you in bloodfire moor or something like that which is just outside of crescent reach. Good luck in finding it, sucks not having maps, lol.
