Disregard the uninformed masses, especially that most annoying Nukker fellow.. he is uneducated, but I suppose that is forgiveable.. amazing the guards let him in here though.. I'll have to have a talk with them...

Hmm, actually, I put everything into stamina, with the remainder thrown into intelligence. There are just too many good items around that will increase intelligence, so I decided that more hitpoints to convert to mana would be a better option for me.. so far, it seems to work out quite well. My other choice (if I had not done that already) would have been to put the last 5 into agility, to increase my ac as well, but too late for that. HOWEVER, regardless of whatever advice you get, choose whatever stats you want. You are allowed to be creative, and know there there is gear out there that will pretty much increase any stat you want increased.

Enjoy the life of an Iksar Necromancer... we are the best, afterall. Oh, one last word of advice, never, ever, be humble. You are an Iksar Necromancer, master of life, death and the essence of fear. You are the nightmare, the reaper, and the sovern of society.

their is no "battle field" ... you're right outside of a TOWN... you fight RATS and BATS... its a hunting ground at utter max...

and WHICH is it? east or west? mind giving some directions? EFP and WFP are a lot bigger than you think... and your main is a "healer"? never heard of that class...

I wonder, Nukker, why someone didn't drown you when you were first hatched? Either that, or maybe you are not an Iksar, which, if the case, means you are not welcome in our domain (you've CLEARLY ruined your own lands, you'll not ruin mine!)

Well, to answer the question as to who he is talking about, its the poison component merchant in west freeport. If you head north of the gates (outside the gates) along the wall, there is a fake wall, just past the first turn in the wall. Walk through the wall, and he is on the ramp. He loves other DE's, is dubious to, and won't sell to, all "good" aligned races, and, I assume, at least apprehansive to Iksar (not sure, as Galapagos has not been to see him as yet).

Simple. Put the max (25) into INT. The remainder is somewhat subjective, but, as an IKS, I would probably put the remaining (5) points in CHA.

The reasoning for INT is that intelligence directly affects how quickly you can learn most skills & the amount of mana for bards and all pure casters, as well as shadow knights. It is the core statistic for Necromancers. Whilst some people may say it is easy to reach the soft cap of 200 intelligence through the many bonus items in the game, this is one stat which you can never have enough of. Once you reach 200 intelligence you can then free up slots for other stat enchancers such as for hitpoints, direct mana, AC, or charisma.

The main reason that IKS NEC are deemed lacking, as compared to other races that can be NEC, is due to their low INT, which is 110 if you put all 25 into it. IKS NEC is sorta a late bloomer. If you made, say, a DE NEC or an ERU NEC, your mana pool will be much higher at the earlier levels. However, the main benefit to being an IKS NEC is due to the regen ability of the IKS--its a god-send. At 34 & 49, NECs get certain spells that exchange HP for mana & regen offsets that very nicely. As NECs regen mana like hell at those levels, very nice at 49, downright scary at 60 (Arch-lich), you almost never run out of mana, so the extra mana is not that significant that you get from being the other races.

So, if playing an IKS NEC, put all 25 points into INT & have fun. Its probably not as easy as certain other races at lower levels, but if you are a hard-core gamer & get into your 50s, the regen will more than please you

That whole fear/charisma thing has been disproven so many times, I'm surprised to see it raise it's ugly head again.

Fear is not affected by charisma.

NEVER put points into charisma for anything except for chanters and bards. Crude stiens can be had for less than 20pp these days (15 cha) and the encrusted stein (opal?) sells for about 50pp in the bazaar (25 cha, not lore). So, no matter how low your starting charisma, you can add 50 cha when selling, by buying a pair of steins for 100pp. Throw in a couple of the +7 cha bracelets, and your are up to 64 charisma for a couple hundred plat. Put them on, buy and sell, then replace with your regular gear.

Now, I understand, from a roleplay perspective, that you can put points wherever you want, but every point used on charisma, is a point not available for Int, Sta, or even agi (since iksars start high anyway, and can get an ac bonus for being over 100.

Regardless of the idoicy Nukker keeps spouting off, and I really must severely punish the guards for letting him in here, an Iksar only guild can *and is* quite successful. Since you never need to even leave the continent of Kunark (though I have found raids on Qeynos and Freeport amusing), you have no need for any pathetic wizards and druids. I wish you good fortune in your guild endeavors, and trust you will remain loyal to both the Council of the Emerald Scale and the New Sebilisian empire.

Are there certain factions that Iksar just cannot raise? Despite much work on Da Bashers (Troll/Grobb faction) and Inigo Brotherhood, (spent several days slaying Elves in Crushbone and Timerous Deep) I still get scowls from these NPCs; where as other Neriak factions and Paineel where extremely easy to get.

Wondering whether I should stop killing Elves and stop the fire beetle eye quests or even bother with Ogres (have 2 stacks of pickled froglok so far)? Being Evil, I care about Evil factions.

any ideas?

personally, I don't see the point. The other, so-called "evil" races, are of little interest to me, and have nothing of value to offer, except perhaps the dark elves, who taste sweet when blackened and spiced appropriately.

Greetings fellow Hatchlings:

I have discovered a new problem facing our race. There is a weapon of Epic properties a Shadow Knight can obtain, but it involves dealing with others in the Overthere Outpost. Having proven myself to the Indigo Brotherhood many times over it has come to my attention that recently all Iksar will be KOS no matter what from now on there. We can still obtain the quest, but how? Any others have any ideas on this? Until I can figure it out, I will have to double my efforts killing Elves whenever I can, and sparing Orcs.

The NPC that starts the epic quest you are talking about is not on Outpost faction. Concurrently, the NPC is far enough away from the other NPC's as to make it easy to deal with him without angering the rest of the Outpost. For more information try this:

Does anyone have any ideas on how to correct this (appart from futily emailing EQ)? Any thoughts would be most appreciated.

I can give you my opinion, from someone who has been there, NO QUESTION--ALL STARTING POINTS INTO STAMINA.

There is a common misconception, mostly held my DE SKs, that an SK is a CASTER, supplemented by melee. NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH. As a matter of fact, its laughable. An SK IS A MELEE SUPPLEMENTED BY SPELLS. They are the 2nd best tank class in the game (next to PLD).

That said, tanking is ALL ABOUT ABSORBING DAMAGE (or, at the end of the day, HIT POINTS (HP)). It has LITTLE to do with inflicting damage. Tanking involves both protecting HP (AC) & getting it as high as possible (many factors, the core stat that directly affects HP is STA). STA is also one of the hardest stats to increase via items.

SKs are very self-sufficent characters. They get excellent utility spells (the good ones beginning at lvl 30). Damage wise, however, SK spells are VERY WEAK. Boil Blood at 53 is not a fight turning spell & our best DoT (in terms of DPS) is Cascading Darkness (lvl 59; you want to talk ARGO, THIS SPELL DOES IT). In other words, you WILL be standing face-to-face with the MOB substantially all the time to kill it. You will NOT be standing away from them & letting your pet fight it while you cast some DoTs. You do that, you will be VERY DISAPPOINTED in the results.

IKS INT of 85 is JUST FINE. There is NO NEED to increase it at all. Further, the mana gear that you get at later levels is far more efficient than stuffing points into INT.

An IKS SK is probably the most BALANCED SK of them all. However, BE PREPARED for a LONG ROAD as the XP ACCUMULATION SUCKS (hybrid & IKS are NOT a quick leveling combination).

Ive been down this road; haha; TRUST ME. STA is what you want.

If I were asked would I play IKS SK again, despite how much I enjoy certain advantages of him, the answer is NO. Id pick an ORG SK, as they are a best tanking class in the game (this does NOT MEAN THAT THE OTHER RACES CANNOT TANK; ONLY THAT THE MAX ADVANTAGE IS GAINED FROM A ORG, REGARDLESS OF HOW MUCH OF AN ADVANTAGE IT IS). Ive heard (I think) every argument of how immaterial the advantage is, etc, etc. At the end of the day, MORE POINTS HAS TO BE BETTER THAN FEWER POINTS. The ORG, when it comes to tanking is 2nd to none & an SK is a tanking class at the end of the day...

That said, the IKS has NICE advantages, so dont let me discourage you if you want to play the scaley class that is hated by most. IKS are a VERY GOOD SK, so have fun...

I would put as much as possibly in INT your abillity to cast spells and NOT become OOM during battle will save your life on many occasions, as for str I would forget about it, unless you need it to avoid becoming too heavy I would focus on Dex or Sta. The most important thing however which goes for all SK's regardless of Race is put as much as possible into INT.

Are any other Iksar concerned that today's patch said that we cn no longer use Alternative Experience (AA) to increase our regen rates? Have I misunderstood this, or does this mean that when we get into AA realms (just hit 51) that Humans can use AA to regen at three ticks, just like Iksar, while we can still not wear plate? Does this really seem appropriate? I play on Vallon Zek (PvP), and this seems very imbalanced toward the lighties. Please enlighten me if I am misunderstanding this or failing to realize a compensating gain.

Hey.

You can still gain regeneration through AA points. Until yesterday, Isar and Trolls gained two points of regen per tick, for each AA point. All other races gained only one, per AA point.

Now we just get one point per tick, like everyone else.

I can't see how this is particularly imbalancing. If a PvP fight lasts two minutes, you're only talking about 60HPs. That's not gonna do anyone a whole lot of good. Still, it does suck pretty seriously. (Personally, I'd have been happier if they'd given everyone an extra point of regen, per tick, than to have nerfed us. But hey, life's hard! *Sigh*)

Anywho...

I am curious as to the experiance of others in the quest to achiece power soon to please our lord, our nation, our leaders, and our families.

I am well equipped (Spine Chill Spear, various 20-30th level shaman gear) and well funded (200pp) by my family, so now i ask, where should i go and what should i do to rapidly be able to run with my families patriarch through the lands of our people.

If you have Luclin, go to Paludal caverns and get into a bandit group.. if you spend a couple hours there, you will go from level 20 to 26 in one sitting.. You can stay there till 27, but there is little point in doing that.. instead, head to Dawnshroud, get into a group, and hunt wolves and those little cattle thingies.. You can actually stay in Dawnshroud until you low 50's (whereupon killing rockhoppers in the caves returns minimal experience). After that, you may wish to head to Velious (yes, it's icy and unfriendly, but still) and see if you can get into a group for Velks...

If you wish to stay on Kunark, you can do the typical Lake of Ill Omen, Frontier Mountains, Overthere, Dreadlands, Karnor's, Trakanon's Teeth (to get Sebilis Key), Sebilis.. that will take you up to level 60, and if are successful in Sebilis, will also make you a very wealthy Iksar. For some variety, and if you do bring your own group in advance, you can alternately try out Warsliks Woods (to low 30's) Dalnir (low 30's), Kaesora and Droga (mid 30's to low 40's), Chardok (high 40's to 60, but the drops are too rare if you wish to make money).

Greetings brothers and sisters!

I, Kaenik, having been selected by our glorious empire to go forth and explore the lands of the softskins, hereby make another report.

I have been fortunate enough to meet up with both a necromancer and a swifttail monk who likewise seemed to be exploring the lands of the softskin "wood elves" and were relaxing by gutting some orcs. Such sport becomes even more entertaining when we stand there and watch some pathetic softskin die, without even the good sense to ask his superiors for assistance. I give that particular human points for bravery, for he did not attempt to flee.

As a side note: does anyone know how to prepare human so it doesn't taste quite so foul? The kill was fresh (the aforementioned dead human) so that really wasn't the issue. Any help here would be appreciated.

I can report that the elves are quite dedicated (or perhaps canny enough to know why I appear to help them) in their hatred and jealousy of us, as despite my slaughtering orcs by the dozens they still wish to wash their blades in my blood. Nonetheless, they are no match for superior Iksar cunning, and I am able to easily evade them.

I have also explore the softskin city of "Shadowhaven" on Luclin, and discovered in some hidden caverns that there are humans who apparently either show an appropriate devotion to Lord Cazic-Thule, or simply recognize Iksar supremacy, and were willing to provide me with training in my warrior's arts. With the humans of Shadowhaven as unwitting allies, and the mobility afforded by the newly opened Nexus, the time is here for Iksar to explore the world and strengthen ourselves.

In closing, I have achieved the rank of 8th blade as a warrior, and give thanks to our lord for giving me the strength to persevere.

Kaenik
On Assignment from the Legion of Cabilis

ps - Can anyone give me some tips on telling the male and female softskins apart? They all look the same to me and they seem to take offense when I mistakenly refer to them as the wrong gender.

It is good that you have not failed in your duty to report to the Council, Kaenik. Your missive intrigued me, as I take my cooking skills to rank rather highly, so I shall answer your question.

First, aside from Troll, no flesh is less desirable for cooking than human. You know the old addage, from rotting flesh comes maggots? Well, the same applies for human flesh. No matter how much sauce it's covered in, it still tastes terrible.

p.s. (answer) Don't concern yourself with the feelings of mere cattle. If they are offended, what does it matter? Eventually they shall do our bidding, whether while alive or dead.

Interim report

Highness Empress Wurmbane,

I must thank you for the scroll of recipes you have sent me. I have found, ironically enough, that orc tastes better than human. As a side note, your recipe for orc-kabobs was particularly well enjoyed by myself, I shall have to make another hunting trip to Crushbone soon to see if the Legionares can provide the additional spicyness that I enjoy.

I also must report that the elven slaves in Crushbone seem inordinately stupid, probably explaining how they were captured in the first place. I pulled a key off a rapidly cooling orc slaver and attempted to free one of them, only have them cooly inform me that "they will not aid one such as I." Oh well, if its captivity they prefer who am I to argue?

There are some signs of hope though. The example of even a humble warrior such as myself has inspired some of the pathetic elves (I know its a redundant description) to acts of bravery normally not seen. I see there being *some* hope for the elves once they have finally accepted our superiority and submit to our rule. Privately I hope they fight against us longer, elf is particularly tasty I have found.

I remain a faithful servant to our empire,

If you wish to train in the monk guild do not do the Shadowhaven/Bazaar quest with the sewing kit and gems. Instead I advise to do the Pulsating Rock Quest. After 3 times of doing this quest and the SH traders once the monk guild and all the casters in the area liked him. From what I also hear is if you do the SH traders quest and wear the neck item you should be able to buy and sell with all vendors including the dorfs.

Iksar get 100 innate skill in swimming. They are also a race that can breathe underwater very easily and for longer periods of time.

Iksar, no matter what class, also receive innate Armor Class bonuses. Ranging from small 5ac bonuses at level 1 up to 150 at AC.

They also possess night-vision, which is already superior to human monks, barbarian shaman, and the like.

Iksar can also regenerate--they regain their hitpoints faster. At level 1 they regenerate 4 hit points per tick (Tick = Six Seconds). Level 20 is 6 HP per second, level 30, 8. At 50 you receive 10 per tick, and at 60 you receive 12.

They have poor faction with almost all races and factions, but it's quite easy once you find the right quests to get your faction up. (A la bandages in Rivervale, muffins in Freeport, killing orcs/kobolds etc!)

This is my favorite race because it's the most challenging and not overwhelming.

Charged by our great empire, I have journeyed out away from Cabilis and the lands of Kunark to explore the lands of the softskins and gather intelligence. As a warrior of only the 7th blade, I was honored to receive this assignment. I now submit my first report, so that others may learn.

After a harrowing journey through the lands of Kunark, I made my way to the teleportation spires in the hidden valley of the dreadlands. The journey itself was not overly difficult, although some cunning was required to evade foes that are as yet, too strong for me. Furthermore, this trip was made without calling upon any of the weakling softskins for their so-called "spirit of the wolf," and without the blessings of one of our wise shamans.

As you may know, the spires in the dreadlands will take one to the hidden moon of Luclin, arriving at the Nexus there. From there, I made my way to the trading city of Shadowhaven, and discovered that the merchants here (or at least some) accept the superiority of the Iksar nation, and will do business with us. I had the shadowhaven soulbinder bind me there (distasteful, but this allows me to use the Nexus as a staging area for other forays away from our lands.) Although I have not yet tested this, I have also heard that there are trainers who will train me in the warrior's arts and skills there, this will be investigated in the future.

My first destination was the land of the softskins known among themselves as "elves." As we all know, these pathetic beings have dared to invade our lands with their outpost in Firiona Vie. Knowing the mental weakness of these softskins, I had started making it my business to teach their enemies, the orcs of crushbone, a direct lesson in Great Cazic-Thule's provice: fear. While advancing my skills as a warrior, I trick the softskin elves into liking me, thus giving me access to more of their secrets, which will in turn be funneled to you!

Brethren, if these orcs are enough to frighten the softskins into living in the treetops like common froglocks, then we have little to fear. While the legionares were more than I could handle, and one sent me back to be reincarnated in Shadowhaven (praise Cazic-Thule for restoring me so that I might battle for his glory later!) the centurions fell before my blades and claws like the autumn harvest.

I must report, however, that caution need be exercised. In the woods of the softskin elves are small winged beings known as "faeries." Do not be deceived by their size, for they are formidable. Fortunately, the would not follow me into the very home of the Crushbone orcs, so it is within the home of the orcs that I hunted.

Greetings Warrior.. you are not the first to make the dangerous journey to the lands of the ssoft skins.. and you will certainly not be the last. I myself set upon such a journey myself.. and i found the spires to be a fine method of transportation for us.. our enemies are foolish to have left a door to their lands right open.. such foolishness is to be their downfall in times to come.. i myself find that the elven lands known as Faydark to be a fine training ground for our younger warriors.. the elves here are of some danger to the inexperienced.. but they are too cowardly to leave their village in the treetops.. tis amusing to see them fall from their place of hiding, only to break upon the ground like the shells of the newly hatched.. *a wide grin spreads across her features*

I myself took it upon myself to wipe the camp of their enemies, the orcs, clean of the green skinned infestation known as the orcs.. though their skin may not be as soft as the elves, they are just as cowardly, running from my spear, like the elves ran from their crude rusty weapons.. but they are numerous.. their camp did not lay empty long.. their troops took the positions of their slain comrades within hours of their demise.. it appears their hate of the elves is strong.. twas amusing say i, to see the soft skins die upon their blades.. their young come to the camp, to prove their skills, and their young warriors and wizards, to hone their arts at the orcs demise.. the bodies of many elves ray rotting on the ground around me, their features twisted in their final moments of pain and agony.. they all honor Cazic-Thule in their final moments.. ironic for the followers of the soft skins choosen dieties.

While meditating in this area however, gaining more mana with which i would slay more greenskins, it would be noted that this young warriors assertion is correct.. the Faeries are a denger to be noted.. much more than the soft skinned elves. Several dared attack me during my communion with Cazic-Thule, many are weak.. they fall within just a few strikes of my spear, but there are a choosen few who are a danger to the inexperienced.. one such Faerie posed a threat to my very life, having little magic to assist me in my battle, it looked like the battle would be a dangerous one to my life, but with the bravery of my lord Cazic-Thule, i battled on.. one such as i would not flee a pathetic creature like this.. it was in my battle that my wounds closed.. and my pain vanished, upon seizing this opportunity, i destroyed my opponent with a few succesful spear strikes, and felled it with a blast of my power of Frost strike, upon looking around for my mystery benefactor.. no wandering Iksar shaman did i see, but a soft skinned preist! He helped me as it was his duty to destroy suffering.. no matter where it lie.. the fool, i feel almost ashamed that his healing touch closed my wounds.. tainted, but it is a weakness that we should take advantage of.. and bring the downfall of these soft skins for ther glory of Cazic-Thule.. and bring his delicious suffering upon the soft skins for their love of their weak minded dieties..

*her tongue flicks out, as if tasting the suffering that is to come*

I know a Barbarian Shaman may well be inferior. Working with my Slammer & spells, I have always admired the Iksar, race & individuals. Some Iksars have been so kindly to me as to tolerate my presence & discuss with me; I am truly grateful!
Once I tried to heal a fellow coming out of the sea where I was, but the Qeynos guards killed us both at once for that. His brave corpses lay everywhere for weeks.
As a Vah Shir Bard named Lilii, I am not KOS?
In the interests of learning toward thriving, I sincerely hope we may form working relationships, perhaps a friendship or 2.

The Froglok slave lay on the ground, retching helplessly. Shiska cocked her head, taking a few moments to admire the effect. Then she beamed a smile at it,sucking out the last few bits of its miserable life. Her new (much stronger) pet had already snapped the neck of one,and now was cheerfully smashing the face of the third and final one into the Cabilis pavement.
"As you were." (it was quite dead)
"Yes,oh great one."
Shiska looked up at the sky.
What a nice day,she thought to herself,I think I'll head out to the Field of Bone and see if any of those young fighter types need my assitance.
She then glided away, pet in wake, leaving the corpses for the Toilmaster to clean up.

Dear fellow iksar..

Yesterday i found myself resting by the timid waters of Ill omen after a rather extensive battle between a warlord and i. As i sat resting i started to notice all that was happening around me.

It is not soo much the idea that there were soo many non iksar on our homeland, but it was the fact that everyone, even some of our young warriors, were overly preoccupied with killing and becoming stronger.

My dear friends, when you have reached age as i have, and years are like small pebbles that eventualy make a rather large hill :), you start to ask what it is all about. My advice to you as a member of the council of our fair city, and a advisor to all, take some time to do more than just fight...many treasures await those who will give much time searching for something, than those who try to over rule those who posess them...

If you would please pardon the ramblings of a youngling, I must say I am in complete agreement with the noble Senpai Ana'ki.
I am finding there is much value in taking the time to talk to my fellow Iksar. Not all of them wish to even notice my presence, but the few that have degined to speak with me have given me many
useful tibits of information.

If you wish to be nothing more than a mere Klok, then hiss your greetings to your broodmates. If you are more nobly born, then forgo the stereotype placed upon us by the softskins.

Yes, but if we kick off all the softskins from our continent, who will distract the dragons while we defeat them? The softskins have a role in the protection of Cabilis and the eventual domination of Norrath by the Iksar, and though they may cause the inexperienced some pain, they only allow us to sharpen our own resolve in all matters.

Greetings fellow Iksar I am but recently come of age and have encountered a rather strange situation. There is this softskin that I one day encountered sitting in the field of bone naturally my first reaction was one of outrage I made it clear to him that his kind was not wanted around our fair city, but then I noticed what he was doing he was there helping out our young warriors. Puzzled by this I questioned his intentions. He claimed to wish to ally himself with us and to learn our ways. I was moderately impressed that he spoke in our tounge. However I am wary of a deception for the softskins are not worthy of trust. He claims to want to be an assistance to the Iksar and acknowledges that he is inferior. He claims to be willing to war on his own race and assisted an unfortunate Necromancer in recovering her body from the Firona Vi scouts he then killed these scouts in revenge for the taking of the necromancers life. Unsure of what to do I have come before my elders for the interests of Cabilis are foremost in my mind. Is this an honest attempt or an elegant deception? Should I befriend this Softskin and assist him in learning our ways or should I crush his skull and feed his corpse to the barracudas?

Xarox, i have found pleasure in being your friend for the past while. You have offered valuable insight to the question of who we should trust, and who shall remain our enemy. As you well know, if a mistake is made in trusting anyone, that the price may be very great. Even if my fair council may not be enough to aid you in this situation.

The warrior that you have spoken of has proven to be somewhat helpful to the empire, yet he is still a outsider and can not be completely trusted. My aid to you is to be his ally but do not trust him to odd mesures. The only way to tell if he is a true friend to my fellow iksar people, shall be revealed in time.

I do not want our people to be overcome with hatred for outsiders. If we do not accept new ideals, then there is no real way to move forward. Keep this with your thoughts dear friend.

While Senpai does bring forth an interesting idea, but fails to see the true point of our "distrust" of the outsider. You need not be overcome with hatred for the strange and foreign, but you do need to make sure they fear you. Beyond anything else, they must fear you. Not only does this fear grant you extra power and weaken your enemies, but it also acts as a form of worship to the god Cazic Thule, from whom we all were created. Also, it is good to remember that new ideas are not necessarily better ideas; and softskins, though they walk upright and can occasionally speak our language, are nothing more than domesticated beasts of burden, whose function it is to serve the superior creations of Cazic Thule.

Take whatever assistance is offered from the softskin, but never, never trust them. Remember to use them when convenient, but their words of trust and loyalty are not worth the air it takes to speak them. If they aid you in your causes, so much the better, but they are as nothing but mere cattle, for us to eventually feast upon.

Greeting Usula,

I agree with you...which is a very rare thing. Only trust a softskin when you are able to re-animate its corpse and use it as a pet.

The best place to search for the equipment you will eventually want to acquire is right here. We do not know if you are a member of the premium service offered by this site (and this service is certainly not required, though quite convenient). We would recommend that you simply spend some time browsing these pages and find those items you think are necessary. Also, simply type /join market in game, and you will get an idea of the items for sell out there. Most of us farmers do not get offended when someone asks us the price or race/class of an item we have for sell.

I'm a very undecided person. I made this chars in 3 months playing EQ: 13-Vah Shir-Bard; 14-DE-SK; 12-Vah Shir-Warrior; 12-Vah Shir-Shaman; 10-Human-Pally; etc... As you see i can't enjoy this game because undecision.
Well, finally i like a race: Iksars, i saw some and i'm going to make one. BUT i have a doubt (of course):Monk or SK?

My preferences: I like role playing and some PvP, but not enough to play in a PvP server. I heard that SK can beat monks easily by using Shadow step.
Well, that is my doubt..... PLEASE HELP ME or i'm getting REALLY crazy :@.

Last thing. As you see i write like a kid, that's because i'm from Spain and i'm still learning english :). Thnx

hmmmm monk or shadowknight....it is a tough choice but looking at the benefits of each...monks get mend and start with free weapons (fists). Iksar Shadowknight is one of the hardest combonations of classes/races because of hybrid exp penalty and iksar exp penalty =/. Monk would be best to start out with.

Watching the comotion from afar, a lone iksar slowly stalked up behind the battling frogloks and necromancer. The iksar grunted with disapointment as a large male strode forth from over a bluff, and hewed the frogloks to bits. The necromancer staggered up and gurgled a thanks to the warrior, who muttered something and casualy stutted off into the swamp. The smaller iksar removed himself from the shadows and approached the groggy female. The warrior with his gleaming mail, bright eyes, and pristine blades seemed almost celestial, while the approaching iksar looked quite humble in comparison. He was clothed only in wrapped silk, and ebony shackles. His deep black eyes focused as he tapped the female on the shoulder and spoke with a quiet voice; "Greetings I am Vorak, are you alright?"

Still trying to clear the cobwebs form her brain,Shiska felt a tap on her shoulder and turned.
"Greetings. I am Vorak, are you alright?"
Shiska could sense a great power radiating from his quiet form. She bowed deeply(bringing a fresh round of throbbing to her aching head)and replied
"Ah,thank you for your attetion sir,um,I am well enough now, though I must admit those Frolok slaves have been a bit,um,troublesome. I know I should slay a few of them and make them fear me but the cowards must attack me three at a time"
Oh Faceless One,she thought,I am babbling like an idiot broodling.
Vorak continued to quietly gaze at her, eyes like black holes in the sky.
Shiska became painfully aware that her novice robe was looking a bit worse for wear, what with curscale blood spattlers, dirt from the Field of bone and now revolting Froglok slime stains.

Usula peered through the scrying bowl, watching the images float across the bloody depths. So, the warriors think to "rescue" us, do they?. Usula glanced up. It was clearly time to make the Legion once again understand it's role in the greater scheme of things. The Brood of Kotiz ruled Cabilis, and no warrior would think his worthless assistance was needed by members of the Brood.

Her poison green eyes blazed in a moment of pure fury... the ARROGANCE of the warrior, asking if a daughter of the Brood was "okay"?.

As Usula approached the training halls for the legion, the legionnaires shrunk back from the cold dark shadow that entered.
