You say, 'All Hail Rallos Zek' Crusader Vraket says, 'All Hail Rallos Zek. You have blooded the upper swords. You are nearly done. We will complete the ring around the symbol. This represents the [walls that protect you].' You say, 'What walls that protect you?' Crusader Vraket says, 'Walls are an important part of warfare. They can be the walls of a fortress, the walls that protect a castle or a city, or as simple as a shield wall. Your work with me proved that you don't need me to send you on a wild trip to learn more. So, this time, I'm going to send you out to honor our [great war master] Rallos Zek.' You say, 'I will honor the great war master.' You have been assigned the task 'Totality of War'. Crusader Vraket says, 'As you are a hero, you have already battled these foes once, but being dead they have come back. Go once more to destroy the abominations that are the dead commanders in the Great Divide, then return to me.' Crusader Vraket expects you to show the strength of Rallos Zek. Destroy the generals in the Great Divide. Seek Zrelik the Brave. Complete the Mission Restless Assault. Coldain can be heard cheering all across the frozen wastelands! You have defeated the restless giants. Your task 'Totality of War' has been updated. Speak with Crusader Vraket You say, 'Hail, Crusader Vraket' Your task 'Totality of War' has been updated. Crusader Vraket says, 'Good. You do well to honor Rallos Zek. To create your walls, you will need to make the finest velium-platinum alloy possible. This will require [many steps], and at any point, these steps could lead to disaster. And even once you finish, you risk losing the alloy when you create your righteous earring of Rallos Zek.' You say, 'How many steps?' Crusader Vraket says, 'the first step sounds simple but is rather difficult. Set one purified velium bar under four bars of platinum. Surround this with another four ice of Velious. Smash the ice of Velious with a velium smithy hammer to flash freeze the ore. Be careful not to be too close or you might freeze you hand. Don't wait any time and smash the frozen platinum and velium until you have a [fine powder].' You say, 'What fine powder?' Crusader Vraket says, 'You'll need to clean four measures of this powder with two vials of purified mana and filter it with a [special filter]. Use the pressure of a brewing barrel for the cleaning. It will force some of the mana into the metals while separating the impurities due to the heat. You'll need to add [wood shavings] as a primer before you begin the drying process.' You say, 'What special filter?' Crusader Vraket says, 'Weave a filter from five velium infused spider silk. Use a sewing needle to accomplish this. Makes sure one measure of the powdered velium and platinum sticks in the web. The powder in the glue of the silk helps absorb the last bit of impurities for your filtered velium and platinum paste.' You say, 'What wood shavings?' Crusader Vraket says, 'It might seem counter-productive when we are looking to increase purity, but don't worry. You will burn it hot enough to evaporate even the ashes of the wood. To create the wood shavings, use a planing tool to shave fine slivers from a velium infused plank directly into your four units of filtered velium and platinum paste. Once this is complete, you'll be ready to [pre-heat the mixture].' You say, 'How do I pre-heat the mixture?' Crusader Vraket says, 'The next steps are easy. LOADING, PLEASE WAIT... At this point you will enter an instanced 6-player mission called "Audience". You receive a 6 hour lockout as soon as it's requested, so if you quit, or restart it, you will have to wait 6 hours to try again. You must complete this mission to get the task update. All NPC's in the zone must be slain at this point. If any are left alive, they will be summoned on top of you! Once you enter the arena: TASK LOCKS HERE Kill the trash and corpses attacking the Statue of Rallos Zek. Upon killing the final mob attacking the statue: Your task 'Audience' has been updated. The ground shakes and you feel a warmth suddenly in the arena. DUCK before Rallos Zek and say "All hail Rallos Zek". Rallos Zek voice booms through all of Kael Drakkel. 'I have sensed your effort and your prayers. You have proven to me that you are not incompetent in the various arts of war. Show me what it is that you have made. Hand over your current earring (augs removed) to Rallos Zek. He hands it back and says: Rallos Zek says, 'This is what you have wrought? When Rallos Zek plucks the ring from your finger it suddenly appears to be a minuscule and fragile ring in his massive hands. He turns the ring over in his palm and looks down at you. 'I can see the craftsmanship. I comprehend the knowledge that has been exploited to make this. I deem it worthy.' He closes his first on the ring for a moment. Flames burst briefly from between his fingers. After a moment he opens his hand and returns the ring. You feel the warmth slowly leach out of the ring into the frigid atmosphere of the arena. I read the information here and on EQ Resources. I was doing this with another player on the same step. I had gotten the mission this morning. We killed all but one mob, but I got the e-mote and the shaking and thought maybe he didn't count so I did the /duck and /say, got attacked by the last guy and then Rallos despawned. There's one guy that's walking above the arena and he DOES count so just make sure you kill him too. Both sites had conflicting info about whether or not you SHOULD do the /duck and /say all hail rallos zek or whether that would cause a failed mission. We got the mission again later, killed ALL the mobs this time. The other player did the /duck and /say all hail rallos zek and we didn't fail, but we didn't get any text either. He handed in his ear, then the ore, and got all his updates. Rallos was still there so I handed him my ear and the ore and also got all my updates. Hope that helps anyone that's doing it with multiple people.
If you fail to duck before handing in your current earring, Rallos Zek will kill you. Make sure to do the below step:

Task Locked for me when I entered the bottom area of the arena, where the Statue of Rallos is, not upon zoning into the instance.
WARNING: Wait until you have achievement Vanquisher of Torment of Velious - all Raids achievements done - BEFORE you request the Audience with Rallos Zek, otherwise you will have to repeat the whole Totality of War task!
I had Master of Torment of Velious achievement. I had Conqueror of Torment of Velious achievement. At the time, I HAD NOT COMPLETED all raids with Vanquisher of Torment of Velious achievement. This bugged my task!
I went all through Totality of War and got the Audience with Rallos Zek and got the Anointed Purified Velium-Platinum Bar, but my Achievements did not show that I completed Totality of War. Crusader Vraket did tell me the recipe, but I did not have it in my known recipes. I have the Heart Shard of the Statue from the KD raid. My earring evolved to Blooded Wrathful Formulaic Earring of Rallos Zek, but the Crusader Vraket said "Do not hand me your earring. Wear it proudly. There is much to improve, but we will work on it." and then my task Totality of War was gone from my quest list.
I asked him how to make the Righteous Convoker's Earring of Rallos Zek and he told me the recipe but said "If you wish to progress this earring further, after you blood it, you must become a conqueror," which is his stock phrase. The recipe was NOT in my matching recipes list.
I had all the ingredients but when I tried to complete the combine, it told me "This seems correct but something is wrong. Perhaps you need to know something more in order to combine this."

I know someone who seems to be bugged in a similar way to you, but I do not think it is a blanket bug.

ok so not very happy with this write up, thanks to " All the giants in the vicinity must be slain. If even one remains alive, you will have a very, very bad time. " this cute little line cost me 6 hours i had 1 npc left in zone that i failed to get because i didn't look hard enough apparently and wasn't a ohh here well just throw this mob at you like it will / dose at the end if you have one up and respawn the boss. nope, it dose not spawn the boss again so change the dang line to reflect the importance of killing all the npc's as it should have been the first time.
if it had thrown all the remaining npc's in zone at me and respawned the boss after then ok,. "All the giants in the vicinity must be slain. If even one remains alive, you will have a very, very bad time. " makes sense, but instant fail doesn't begin to fit that explanation.

Ok, let me get this straight. The person who took the effort to figure all this out so you wouldnt have to warned you explicitly that if you didnt kill them all you would have a very very bad time. However, after you couldnt find the last you, you got lazy and thought you knew what the consequence would be so said ***** it Ill just ignore the warning. Your telling me this writeup was known to have a badly worded and not very clear section before I ran this for MONTHS and nobody fixed it? What is the point of this website writeups don't improve over time.

What does this mean? "remake the recipes". What recipe are you referring to? I failed the combine on my Berzerker and can't figure out how to get another Anointed Purified Velium-Platinum Bar. Can someone PLEASe post the recipe here.
