Gozzrem says 'Greetings Ayama . If you seek wisdom or the arcane I have tasks in the halls of testing you may complete to gain what you seek. You say, 'I seek wisdom' Gozzrem says 'Wisdom can be gleaned from battle and that is what I wish you to do. Battle in the halls of testing may give you a different outlook on life. Which do you seek, the short battle or the long Ayama ? You say, 'I seek the long battle' Gozzrem says 'You will spend much time in the halls of testing. How good does your faction with CoV have to be to turn in to this NPC? anyone know?
This quest is rated average? 35AC booties with a hp regen and ATK increase?

Personally, I don't rate the quest itself, or the reward, as that's going to be very subjective. Were I doing that then as a Shaman I would rate the Monk epic quest at Disappointing, because the reward is of no use to me.
When I rate quests I'm rating the information as presented. Is it just a copy and paste of NPC text, or did the submitter actually include additional information to clarify the often-ambiguous requests from NPC's? An Excellent rating would include the verbatim from game, information about which zones and additional mobs are involved, strategies and tips, and other first hand information about the entire quest. Of course, for an Excellent rating I like to see good spelling and grammar, just to facilitate understanding.

No wonder half the quest ratings are so off....in lue of the fact that the rating is a QUEST rating...like, is the quest hard and long, is the reward sufficient...NOT, Does the person that submited the text know how to spell...and did said person put his own tactics in the text.
Its funny that you took the rating system and decided that you wanted to use it for a different purpose.
Its not like i look at the ratings for a 100% choice on making my decision to examine the quest, but it does play a role in it.

Average in that the amount of time and effort required is equally impressive as the reward.

this is correct, plat tear is required for the idol (making it never quested)

After a little exploration in the quests and talking to others, this is what I gather about this quest -- it is the wis caster's version of the White Dragon Statue quest (https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=990).
Note that Gozzrem tells the player in that quest, "If this task is not hard enough for you, I have a second quest for you." -- very similar to the manner in which he asks in this quest which type of battle the player seeks.
Alas, no one has gotten the reward for this quest on my server, so I can't provide stats... but if what I deduce is correct, it will be basically the same item but with WIS and perhaps poison and disease saves in the place of INT and charisma, etc.

Ok EQLizer has the WRONG info. The result for the Test of the Long battle from Gozzrem is Boots of Silent Striding. 35ac 10sta 15 wis 50mana 3sv all effect- aura of battle. The Test of the Short Battle from Gozzrem is the haste bracer. Again, EQLizer sucks.
