Svekk Fangbinder says 'We have all kinds of supplies! Normally we deliver them to the giants who live outside Kael. You say, 'What giants?' Svekk Fangbinder says 'There are several encampments in the eastern wastes that barter for supplies with us monthly. The great divide also has a small outpost of Kromrif who strive to beat the Coldain back into their city of Thurgadin and of course the outposts in the wakening lands. Our last batch of deliveries did not reach their intended targets. The runners have not been heard from since they were dispatched either.' You say, 'What great divide?' Svekk Fangbinder says 'If you wish to deliver supplies to the warriors in the great divide that is wonderful. One small problem arises. I do not know you Ogre. I would not trust you as far as I could throw a dragon. If you pay for the supplies and deliver them the men at the fortress will surely repay you. A pack of basic supplies only costs a meager five hundred gold pieces. If you choose to purchase the supplies and deliver them take them to a man named Bekerak Coldbones at the outpost.' -50pp will buy a "Giant Sack of Supplies" Bekerak (at the Giant Fort loc: -3011, -2766ish) gives you a note for Svekk, who gives you a Voucher tells you upon return that he needs a Klezendian Crystal (uncommon drop from random orcs in the Crystal Caverns). When you return the voucher and crystal, Svekk gives you a Large Supply Sack for Bekerak. Upon delivery to Bekerak you receive the Kromrif Battle Totem. For all those who are asking about the faction hits and the magnitude, remember that not long after Velious came out, Verant adjusted the faction hits for Velious zones so that negative faction hits weigh more heavily. Thus it is nearly impossible to have good faction with giants AND dragons, although as pointed out above, you can kill alot of dragon faction mobs to raise giant faction without hurting dorf faction. Still gotta be careful with quests though, as alot of them affect 2 of the 3 factions at once.

You can raise Kromzek easily without harming Coldain Faction, by killing anything on CoV faction.
I think, although Im not sure, you can turn in Kobold paws to raise all 3 giant factions, without hurting dwarf faction.
However, I dont know that you would be able to raise enough faction in both places to do both cities' quests. I am not aware of any methods to raise Coldain faction that does not hurt Giant factions, but I am not real familiar with Thurg quests anyway since I am now on giant faction.

I made the quest, it is quicker than said and quite easy. took me one hour or so to finish it.
Faction hit is not very important on Giants, not enough to make the quest very interesting either for item or faction hit. But that is a good way to spend time if ye hate camping :)

The totem is really kind of worthless. It will only go in the secondary hand slot. If it would have went in the range slot it would be fairly decent. It's only 4AC 2STR 3INT 3WIS 5HP 5MANA. I don't think anyone who would put this in their secondary hand slot would choose to use it over the many items that are much better than this.
There are faction hits four times in this quest. When you return notes to Svekk (both times) you get +Kromzek, +Kromrif, +KingTormax, -ClawsofVeeshan. When you give supplies to Bekerak (both times) you get +Kromrif, +Kromzek, -Coldain, -ClawsofVeeshan.

A question on the faction hits, is there a guage on the rating for increase and reduction, ie is the increase in giant faction better, worse or eqaual to the hit you take for the coldain and Claws of Veeshan faction.
On a secondary note is there a better way to increase giant faction without harming dwarven faction found yet?

I took no dorf or giant faction hits with my ranger. He went to SS and killed till was kindly with kromzek. I made a mistake of turning in a dorf head to the recruiter so became duboious to coldain. Did the kobold paw quest 12 times. Went from kindly to ally with kromzek and from threatening to dubious with kromriff. So atm I am dubious to kromriff and coldain, ally to kromzek and max kos to Cov.
