Prerequisite Quests: Soldier of Air, Fight Fire, and any one Trail of Smoke, Prisoner's Dilemma, Palace of Embers, Brass Palace, Key to the Kingdom, Contract of War, All Hail the King, and Royal Visits.

This task is obtained from Blazing Sorrow's Darkness in Aalishai near the castle on the outside.

Giver: Blazing Sorrows Darkness or Automatically in Tyrant of Fire
Request Phrase: require

If you no longer have the Golden Ruby and Garnet Ring visit Sky Orchid Understanding in Esianti.

You say, 'Hail, Sky Orchid Understanding'

Sky Orchid Understanding says, 'You are even more of a nuisance than the councilors. If you are here to [continue] your crusade, you know what you need to do.'

Sky Orchid Understanding says, 'Or are you looking for a lost [ring]?'

You say, 'ring'

Sky Orchid Understanding says, 'You are lucky today, friend. I have found your lost item and will, in order to strengthen our agreements, return it to you.

Once you have the ring, go to Plane of Tranquility (or PoP version of Plane of Fire) and click it. (This will not work if you have converted the ring into the charm, you will need to get another one from Orchid Sky Understanding. (Note that they are not lore and can in fact be fused.)

You will get system text across your screen saying:

Listen to me, mortal. I have a story to tell you and a proposition based on that tale. For now, all I ask is that you listen to me. I am called Blazing Sorrows Darkness. I was imprisoned here because I am a rival to the throne in Aaliashai. I must assume you know nothing of us, and so I must explain why that makes me unusual. The efreeti have a queen, always a queen. And since the day we were created by Fennin Ro there has only ever been one female of our species. When one queen is destroyed, a new one forms from the spirit of the last. Heart of Flawless Brass is only the fourth queen of the efreeti. This is troublesome to the ambitious of our people. Perhaps putting a cap on our ambition was the Tyrant of Fire's intent.

I, however, refuse to be limited. Fire blazes within me and I burn with desire to rule. Yet I cannot, for I am male. I was imprisoned for trying to change our ways. This is where my proposition comes in. I ask you to deliver me, this muhbis, to Fennin Ro himself so that I might plead my case, ask for a change. I have little to offer, obviously, in my current condition. But should I be able to convince the Tyrant of Fire to free me and hear my plea, then I will have opportunity to reward you.
It is your choice. Deliver me to Heart of Flawless Brass and receive whatever reward you will have earned, or take a risk and take me to the Plane of Fire. You must choose.

You will get a popup window stating that if you accept this task you will be unable to continue on your present task (Royal Visits).

Clicking yes accepts the task. (If you pause too long the task window will poof and you will need to zone to be able to click the ring again (you can just zone into PoP plane of Fire and click it there).

You have accepted a contract with Blazing Sorrows Darkness.

You have been assigned the task 'Tyrant of Fire'.

Enter into PoP plane of Fire and find Unrepentant Sunrise. Wear the ring (charm slot)

You say, 'Hail, Unrepentant Sunrise'

Unrepentant Sunrise says, 'Begone, mortal. I am friendly compared to my cousins here, but I am also much stronger. You do not want to anger me.'

Unrepentant Sunrise says, 'You? Hah! You well know that you have no rights while you are in that muhbis. But, yes, your mortal might be able to earn an audience. All it must do is clear out the mortal horde that is bothering Fennin Ro's guards at the moment. If it does that, I will obtain an audience for it. If this is [agreeable] to the mortal, it should let me know.'

You say, 'we are agreeable.'

Unrepentant Sunrise says, 'Good enough. There will be no cost for failure to you, mortal, nor to me, should you die. I agree. Tell me when you are [ready] to deal with our mortal infestation. Don't be squeamish, do what needs doing and get rid of those mortals.'

You say, "Ready"

1. Speak with Fennin Ro about the ring. 0/1 Doomfire, the Burning Lands

(You have accepted the task given you you by a magical ring. it wants you to deliver it to Fennin Ro. You will have to find a way to speak with the Tyrant of Fire, no matter how unpleasant.)

After zoning most of the fire mobs will be dead, camped by "PC versions of NPCs". Slaughter the PCs. (there is an achievement here for killing them all, Fennin Ro will transport you to his throne room after you have killed almost all the NPC PCs).

Fennin Ro shouts, 'Mortals here, killing each other. Not an unpleasant sight. Not unpleasant at all. Unrepentant Sunrise tells me that there are mortals in my realm that seek favor with me. I must assume that those mortals are you. Tell me, why should I listen to creatures created by other god that so frequently come into my realm and assault my creations or assault me directly when they can?'

A voice comes from the gold, garnet, and ruby ring, 'Lord Fennin! It is I that tasked these mortals to come here. I am the one that seeks to speak with you. I am known as Blazing Sorrow's Darkness.'

Fennin Ro shouts, 'I remember you. You who tried to upset what little order there is in Aalishai. When you failed and allowed yourself to be captured, I was pleased with Heart of Flawless Brass. She has earned her station and the leadership of the efreeti.'

A voice comes from the gold, garnet, and ruby ring, 'I must disagree, my Tyrant.'

Fennin Ro shouts, 'Hah! You may as well, for you are forever lost in the hands of these power-hungry mortals.'

A voice comes from the gold, garnet, and ruby ring, 'Please, Lord of the Everburning Flames, I argue that the playing field is uneven, as you must well know. It is not possible for another to lead the efreeti, no matter their skill or cunning. The efreeti can only have a queen, so you commanded. And, as I know from eras of effort, it is not possible for any of us to become queen unless born to it.'

Fennin Ro shouts, 'You just cover for your own weakness. No matter your excuses, she defeated you. She would have done so no matter what *** your body maintained.'

A voice comes from the gold, garnet, and ruby ring, 'Whether I succeeded or failed is irrelevant. Even had I defeated Heart of Flawless Brass I could not have claimed my reward. None of us can. There is only one queen, and she will always be that person each time she returns. I ask that you allow us to earn the right to at least have a chance to be queen, give us the right to be female.'

Fennin Ro shouts, 'Even should I desire it, it cannot be done. The mold was destroyed after the queen was created, as you well know. Without that mold the gods of power cannot create more jann. They are far too mortal, to bound up with Influence for us to create. The time for worrying about dealing with the mortals, even with each other, has long passed. You know how pointless your people have become. Perhaps that is why the djinn opened up their realm to the mortals, giving them such easy access. Perhaps they wanted to feel useful again. We should burn them to ashes for breaking the compact.'

A voice comes from the gold, garnet, and ruby ring, 'I have insight on that matter, my Tyrant. I have had access to these mortals, and they were among the very first to enter into Esianti. The rules were indeed broken, but not by any cabal or any among the leadership, but only by one stupid djinn. One among many, I must say. The fool was appropriately punished...'

Fennin Ro shouts, 'The trials.'

A voice comes from the gold, garnet, and ruby ring, 'Yes, lord, the trials. There is little to fault the djinn for beyond their native stupidity and arrogance. But, Great Flame of Life, my concern remains.'

Fennin Ro shouts, 'Your concern has been addressed. It cannot be done.'

A voice comes from the gold, garnet, and ruby ring, 'But my Tyrant, I believe it can be done. All I would need is your agreement, freedom from this prison, and the assistance of these effectively brutal mortals.'

Fennin Ro shouts, 'What do you propose?'

[ A voice comes from the gold, garnet, and ruby ring, 'I can steal one of the other molds, one that has never been used. The ondine and the duende both failed the compact. Neither used both molds. I propose to steal the female mold from the duende and deliver it to you. You could use it to reforge us, allow more of us to be female. This would force competition for leadership and therefore improve us all.'

Fennin Ro shouts, 'It is not as simple as that, Blazing Sorrow's Darkness. But you have intrigued me. Come forth from that muhbis. Let me see you as you are.'

Blazing Sorrow`s Darkness shouts, 'I am forever your humble servant, Lord Fennin.'

Fennin Ro shouts, 'You have your chance then. These mortals will steal the mold from the duende, but you will not be with them. You will not be seen stealing from them, this would break your foolish rules, would it not?'

Blazing Sorrow`s Darkness shouts, 'It would, lord.'

Fennin Ro shouts, 'Should these mortals bring me the mold, we can discuss the possibility of changing you efreeti. For now they begin to stink. Be gone!'

Your task 'Tyrant of Fire' has been updated.

- For the request phase, you can repeatedly right click the ring to advance the monologue if you're impatient like me
- The ring can be right clicked almost anywhere except Esianti
- There are six groups of psuedo-PCs in the C1 area:

  • Ground floor, south end (four)
  • Ground floor, northwest corner (four)
  • Ground floor, center east (three)
  • Top floor, center west (three)
  • Top floor, north end of east corridor (three)
  • Top floor, south end of east corridor (four)

  • - The "PCs" are all level 110, snareable and rootable. Don't know about mez.
    - Each group is agro linked together; I wasn't able to split by any means
    - They're all Indifferent, and there's no associated faction hit
    - They're all humanoid, and subject to Headshot and Assassinate. Have fun with that.
    - Each group has a tank. If the group's tank is alive and you've damaged one of its groupmates, it will summon you, sometimes in a chain even while in melee with you
    - Each group has a healer
    - Each group has a DPS, usually a caster
    - Groups of four have a second DPS, occasionally a ranger. Rangers can and will snare you.
    - The tank's summon+stun success rate is pretty high, and lasts a few seconds
    - The last three alive "give up" and start walking away once you've put some hurt on them
    - The remnants will run (walk) all the way to the tunnel, leaving you plenty of time to kill them if you have any form of snare
    - Group composition varies
    - Mages summon a fire pet. Don't bother with it, they'll instant summon a new one; once the mage is dead if you can memblur the pet it dies instantly
    - Mages and SKs summon swarm pets. Also nothing to worry about.
    - Task locks when the chest is opened

once your ring (with no stats ) turns into a charm with full stats ( happens after you request the mission the first time ) . You have to get a new one from Sky Orchid Understanding, you can then right click the new ring in PoF and the lore scolls for a few mins and popup for mission comes up.
