Deep in the bottom of the mines in Thurgadin resides a Coldain named Normon Stonetooth. Talking to him he offers to tell you a secret but he needs a favor done first. If you say, "I will do a favor" he will give you a pick axe and ask that it be sharpened by a smith named Harkon.

Harkon is located at Scar's Edge, a weapon shop. Once you find him, Say, "Stonetooth sent me." He will tell you that he will sharpen the pickaxe if you give him the pick and a small piece of velium. Give Hakon the Pick Axe and a small piece of Velium and you get some faction, and a new pickaxe.

Your faction standing with Coldain has been adjusted by 5.
Your faction standing with Dain Frostreaver IV has been adjusted by 1.
Your faction standing with Kromzek has been adjusted by -1.
Your faction standing with Kromrif has been adjusted by -2.

Go back into the mines and return the pickaxe to Normon Stonetooth. You will get back something called "Velium Focus". The dwarf tells you that by slowing down you mind and body and using the focus you can talk to stone, for the stone is alive. You bring the focus item to Phenocryst, a named geonid in Wakening Land at -3210, -397 inside a maze of caves. You can hail him and such, the geonids conning indifferent to everybody as far as I can tell.

Moving on to the Wakening Lands, if you go to Phenocryst at -3218.17, -408.03, 3.23 and are "indifferent" faction with the Geonid Collective, you can hand in the Velium Focus, which results in the following faction hit:

Your faction standing with the Geonid Collective has been adjusted by 100.

Note, if you are under indifferent by even a point, he won't take the stone, so you have to hand it in to him while invisible. Open trade window, drop in the item, pop your invisibility potion or whatever you can do that doesn't break trade, and then hand it over.

You hail Phenocryst. Phenocryst speaks with a soundless voice, as if you are hearing your own thoughts. 'We sense you are attempting communication with us but do not understand what it is you are trying to convey. We are eager to know more. Perhaps there is one who knows the language of the stone and will speak with us'

Then you give him the Velium Focus.

Phenocryst speaks to you from within your mind, 'You know the stone! This is wonderful! The fulfillment of the prophecy is now one step closer. The most ancient of the stone tells us that one not of stone will come forth and act as our harbinger of ascension. We believe you to be our harbinger. Please help us!'

You reply, "how can I help you?"

Phenocryst speaks from within your mind as well as conveys a sense of joy empathically. 'It is said that the harbinger will find all of our people and unite them. When we join we will know all of our experiences and perhaps then be aware of how to proceed with the next step in our ascension. We implore you to find others like us and make them aware of us. You know the language of the stone and can tell them. We await your return with proof that you have spoken to them." Now you have to go to Crystal Caverns. If you invis up and head down into the caverns, you'll pass through an orc area, then a dwarf area, then a tentacle terror and spiders area, and finally there's a long stretch of tunnel leading up to a zone out point. That long stretch of tunnel is filled with geonids and they con the same as the ones in Wakening Land. Give one of them the focus (any one, doesn't matter, you don't have to hail them or anything) and you'll get it back with the following message:

A geonid seems as if it doesn't recognize you as anything of importance. You attempt to speak with the geonid through your velium focus but all you are able to hear is the same though over and over.., Eat. You have gained no knowledge from these creatures but you notice your focus has been altered slightly.

The description on the focus doesn't change, but it is altered. Take it back to Phenocryst in Wakening Land and give it to him. The following will happen:

Phenocryst sends it's thoughts to you, a feeling of disappointment washes over you, 'It seems the others are not aware of themselves yet. We are alone..So many questions yet we can find no answers. We have been given a very special gift but without direction we are lost. We must find who has made us aware of ourselves and why it has done so.'

You say to Phenocryst, "Find what?"

Phenocryst says in the form of thoughts, 'We must call to it. We must make ourselves heard past these rocks though. A menhir must be constructed to amplify our voice. The stones we will need are not found in this area though. We hear whispers of stones far away that have the ability to channel and amplify our thoughts. We ask you to gather these stones for us harbinger."

You say to Phenocryst, "I will gather these stones for you."

Phenocryst's thoughts flood your mind, 'Thank you Harbinger. We need 3 crystals. One of Beryl, one of Stibnite, and one of the purest Iron. These minerals will only be found deep within the earth where the geology is relatively stable. This Focus will aid you in finding the right crystals. Return it to me with the 3 crystals and we will construct our Menhir. Please hurry Harbinger, our prophecy awaits.

Phenocryst gives you an item for telling him you'll gather the stones. It's a magic, lore, no drop Elbaite Focus that has 5 charges of Identify. It looks like a fire emerald.

The stibnite crystal is found in The Great Divide. If you enter the wurm caves in the center of that zone from the south, go up to the first right, go in and take the next right, you'll be in a room with two spawn points for wurms and there's a patch of blue crystal at the back of the room. The stibnite is behind the crystals and looks like a bag on the floor. It spawns every 1-2 hours or so I think. The description of the item is "Bent Metallic Crystal". It weights 20.0, is magic, lore, and no drop. When you identify it, it identifies as "Stibnite for the Menhir". To identify an item using the Elbaite Focus, target yourself, pick up the item and right click it on the Elbaite Focus in your inventory. It won't change the description of the item, it'll just tell you what it is in your chat window.

The Reddish Crystal can be found in The Hole at location -65, -200, -275. It appears as a pouch on the far side of the pool with the sword in the stone.

The crystal of purest iron is in Burning Woods. It's sitting on the meteor near Slixin Klex. It's item description is "Heavy Metallic Crystal" and is
magic, lore, and no drop. It weighs 14.0.

Take these three crystals and the Elbaite Focus back to Wakening Lands to Phenocryst and you're ready for the next step. Get 1-2 parties of 50+ players and bring 'em with you. Due to the dragon that spawns in Wakening Land near the dragon portal, you might want to approach from skyshrine. If you're going along the wall from skyshrine towards the caves, you want to gather your troops at the second cave entrance along the wall. Phenocryst is closest to that entrance. Get to know the path between you and him at this point so you're familiar with how to get out in a hurry. At this point, all the geonids should con amiable to you. Finishing the Velium Focus section achieves this faction adjustment. Make sure you have a ranger in your party of friends. You're going to have to track down some triggered MOBs and fight them.

You submit the items to Phenocryst.

Phenocryst makes no sound but it's voice fills your mind. 'We have always held our memories within the earth and stone but only recently have we become aware of them. We do not know what happened or who gave us this wonderful gift but we can now access those memories and are aware of it's storage. With that knowledge has come questions and desires. When the prophecy comes to be then we will have our answers and fulfill our desires.'

Phenocryst 's familiar thoughts flood into your mind again, 'You truly are the Harbinger, take this Focus as a mark of your friendship with us. Now we can construct the Menhir, we need ..,..,the stones speak.., There is a problem. Ones of flesh are coming, the large ones, 3 of them. They must not disturb us while we construct the Menhir! Please stop them Harbinger! bring us proof of their destruction along with your Focus and then we will begin the calling. Our ascension is at hand!'

You lose the focus and the three crystals and in return gain another focus item with the description "Azurite Focus". It's a magic, lore, no drop item weighing 0.5.

Now head outside and start tracking. After a few minutes, two "acolyte of Zek" giants will show up on track. A minute later or so, a Bloodpriest Loukond will show up on tracker as well. You'll have to run out and pull the acolytes to you once you track them. If they are snared, they still run quite fast. These giants con blue at 52 and are quite magic resistant. Make sure you pull these, they're almost more important than the Bloodpriest. They get attacked by the various mercenaries in the zone sometimes and get killed before you can do the job. If you have to pull mercenaries with the acolytes, do. After killing both acolytes, loot them. Each one has a medallion that has the description, "Holy Symbol of Zek", which is magic, no drop, and weighs 2.0. After the acolytes are done, go out and get the Bloodpriest. Bloodpriest Loukond should eventually walk up to the cave entrance and stand outside it if nobody pulls it. After a minute of standing outside the cave, he depops, which is why you have to do the acolytes first (they pop first) then the bloodpriest (he'll get to the cave probably if you can't find him, the acolytes might not). The bloodpriest cons blue at 52 and is just as magic resistant. He drops a third and final medallion with the same description. You must get all three medallions in order to for this part to prove fruitful. When you kill the giants, you take the following faction hits: Kromzek (worse), Kromrif (worse), King Tormax (worse), and Claws of Veeshan (better). The giants never enter the caves to attack the geonids or anything. Everything will happen outside the caves and the giants won't aggro the dragon if it's up either. The Bloodpriest Loukond is also not to be confused with Priest Bjek, another giant who wanders in the area sometimes who is red at 52 and not related to this quest.

Now. Take your Azurite Focus and the three medallions to Phenocryst. Submit them to Phenocryst.

Phenocryst 's thoughts become your own, a feeling of joy overwhelms you, 'Because of you we can at last speak with our maker. We were once given a gift, and we ask that you accept this gift from us now so that we may come closer to that which we owe our sentience to. Now..,we must construct the Menhir..'

You lose the Azurite Focus and medallions and get the following item in return, which is, it seems, the reward for this quest.

Phenocryst's Focus [Magic, Lore, No Drop]
AC 5 DEX 3, CHR 3, INT 10, MANA 40, SV FIRE/DISEASE/POISON/COLD 3, SV MAGIC 5 Usable by all races but only usable by caster classes like wizards, enchanters, etc. and not hybrids.

Then then geonids, led by Phenocryst, start walking around, through the halls and such. When this happens, you see the following message:

"Phenocryst begins to resonate. All the stones about you begin to resonate seemingly at its command. The Geonids all begin moving, all to construct the Menhir."

I'm assuming they get together at this point at make their Menhir and the quest is over. I didn't stick around to watch because we got some tar goo on us and that put a dampener on things real quick. It's very important to note that although geonids con indifferent or amiable, goo does not and if you get any of it on you and a geonid is close by, it'll aggro the geonid. No idea why this is, it doesn't make any sense, but it's the case. Also, enchanters can skip a huge chunk of this quest by casting Collaboration on Phenocryst and starting from the point where to say to him "I will gather these stones for you". The Velium Focus half gives you the faction to be able to tell that to Phenocryst. Provided an enchanter MAKES him amiable, they don't have to bother with the first half.

Beryil Crystal moved in paw??
# Apr 02 2001 at 4:40 PM Rating: Default
I heard it is now near the Ishva room in paw. Is that true?
RE: Beryil Crystal moved in paw??
# Apr 16 2001 at 3:59 PM Rating: Default
It does indeed drop closer to the Isvha spawn now.

When you drop down and pass through the doorway, the stone spawns in the room with the water (before you swim in the underwater tunnel).

It spawns behind a stalagmite/stalagtite combo that will be slightly to your left as you enter the area.

The loc is positive 691, negative 5.

I think it has always been there, I've never seen the one up top everyone talks about. I went to the room near Ishva and found the pillar, nothing there. Camped, logged back in the next morning, and there is was.
And I picked it up several weeks ago.

It was only at the entrance during the first two weeks after the patch that made this quest available. After people found out about the patch, newbies were picking up the item in Paw, making it hard for people to camp it. It also was a much easier camp for people having it right by the entrance, so they moved it further in.

You only need one more giant, not another three. Doesn't matter which giant you get it off either.
Which cave entrance?
# Mar 05 2001 at 11:39 AM Rating: Default
Ok, I have read most of the posts here trying to get a feel for the giants since I am close to finishing this quest. Which cave entrance do the giants run to? I have read that they will all end up at "the" cave entrance in time, and I was curious as to where to set up camp since there are 3 entrances to these caves. Any additional info on /loc's would be nice.

Thanks

what you need is "a small piece of velium" and it's from cc.
make sure you don't use a small brick of it (also from cc) as it will not work.
small pieces will stack. if what you don't have doesn't stack go back to cc till you find the right piece

Something to keep in mind. I have noticed that on some quests they post the lvl of the LOWEST bad guy in the quest. Such as the Corrupt Giards of FreePort Quest. They have 15 or 16. And YES there is a guard that is lvl 16. Of course he usually hangs around with lvl 25+ guards. Well, just some food for thought.

my understanding of how they choose what lvl ye havee to be is by posting the lvl of the creature. for exmple, to get the FBSS out of loweer guk it says you have to be 35th. somehow, i SERIOUSLY doubt that a 35th lvl char can get it solo, hell, ye'd be lucky to even get into a group camping it at 35th.

Faction help
# Feb 28 2001 at 2:16 PM Rating: Default
Here's a trick that worked for me to raise faction with the Geonid Collective,
do the first part of the quest up to the point where the Velium Focus is given
to the Phenocryst. If you are less then indefferent to the Phenocryst (ie; apprehensive
or dubious ), take along someone who can invis you. Give the Velium Focus to Phenocryst but DO NOT complete the trade yet. This is when to have your friend cast
invis on you at this point to set your faction back to indifferent. Now complete the trade. You may have to repeat this part of the quest 2 or 3 times to get up to amiable.
I had to do it twice in order to achieve this. Whats nice about this, is that it actually sets
faction permanantly, unlike Bard's faction song. One thing that helps is to go to Crystal Caverns first off and kill Rygorr miners and collect several small pieces of velium.
have a supply of velium on hand will help alot timewise if you need to repeat the process more than once.

We completed this quest today.
I hope you find this information helpful.
We had 2 parties 47 to 57, the average level was about 52. I have never been on a single party attempt to take them down but have spoken to many people that have and most failed. It is possible to do but way harder. The main reason is that these giants spawn relatively fast. If you have 2 parties you have the resources to kill them quick enough to take them one at a time.

As for the priest. Yes he does have complete heal. If you want to stop this you can not stun, he is a giant and you can't stun giants. What you have to do is have large amounts of melee damage and have casters use push back spell to stop him from casting. We killed him twice, he got only 1 heal off between the 2 fights. As for his magic resistence yes it's high but it's still not to hard to hit him. I'm a 49 wizard and he resisted about 1 in 6 spells. Make sure you don't use icebased spells though.

If you wish to do this quest for more then 1 person the key is to make the giants spawn, collect the objects from them, but not finish the quest. As soon as you finish the quest, the pheno despawns for 2 hours. So kill the giants for everybody doing the quest, collect the items (they are NOT norent). Then have people complete the quest later. Let's face it, it's not hard to get to the pheno to hand in the stuff, and no point having 2 groups of people waiting around for the pheno to repop.

oh one final note that doesn't seem to be in any of the other posts. After you finish the quest and the genoids form the menhir, when he explodes it does damage to you if your standing next to the menhir. I was right next to him, taking screen shots, when he exploded I went from full health to half a bub, so take care.

# Feb 23 2001 at 3:14 PM Rating: Default
Our guild has now completed the quest a number of times. The giants you have to kill in Wakening Land can be tough. But a little smart fighting will make this easy.

We had two groups and no one died fighting the giants. Group makeup was:

Primary (kill group):
46 Warrior
40 Warrior
51 Cleric
46 Bard
48 Necromancer
52 Ranger

Secondary:
47 Shadowknight
54 Druid
52 Mage
41 Druid
34 Ranger
53 Cleric

We activate the quest and have our 52 Ranger track down the first Accolyte, pull it in, then go after the second. The Accolytes aren't that tough and conned blue to me at 48. We took these down fairly easy. The problem with these guys is they aggro alot of stuff in the zone and you tend to pull in stragglers. We feared them off and most of the time they ran out of aggro range.

The Bloodpriest is another story because he can CH and gate. The key is when you get him down to one bubble start stunning him. The Bloodpriest is around level 50 and is highly magic resistant to anyone below 50, but 50+ had little trouble hitting him with spells. DO NOT let him gate, if he does he comes right back at full health.

If you aggro anything DO NOT run into the genoid caves. For some reason they will tend to turn on you and there are TONS of them in there.

Hope this helps..

Stop smoken that crack man. I just got a "small piece of velium" and it worked! No questions, no isses, got the focus snowball w/no trouble at all.

a "small piece of velium" works, it's stackable and the same icon as the blocks of clay. Make sure that is says "small piece of velium" ( may have an 'a' at the begining, can't recall that right off hand ).
Reddish Crystal Location
# Feb 14 2001 at 10:20 AM Rating: Default
I waited in that front room for about an hour before I saw where someone below posted a new loc. I am a map guy and I could not find that loc on my map.

So the loc is: pos 695 neg 1 neg 34

If you use EQ Atlas maps and most others this does not appear to be on the map or it shows the wrong location. It is behind a stalagmite/stalagtite column near the underwater tunnel that leads to Ischva Mal. If you were coming from the Ischva out of the underwater tunnel you would look straight ahead and it is right behind the column in front of you.

If your Invis doesn't wear off you can just walk down there, get it, and leave. Since I wasn't sure where it was I had to FD and re-invis a few times, but it was never really a problem.

Hope this helps.

OK...Did the whole quest, turned in the Azurite Focus and the 3 Holy Symbols. At this part of the walkthrough, the poster mentioned something about the Geonids moving around to construct the Mahir, but that he got attacked by tar goo and had to leave. We didn't get attacked, so we hung around after I got my focus and followed the geonids. All of them, lead by the Phenocryst, walk out of the cave, to a position (to scale, i guess) about 100 yards outside of the cave, and into the wakening land. There were about 10 Geonids, A Geonid Shaman, and the Phenocryst. They stand there for quite some time, not responding to hails or any other interaction that we could find. Then all of a sudden, they disappeared and in thier place, "The Menhir" (spelling?) spawned. Looks just like a Geonid, but is frost giant sized. This creature conned red, amiable to me (52 necro). It did not respond to hails, or anything else (didn't want to hand it my focus). After about 3-5 minutes, I saw a message that said somthing like (didn't get a screenshot, was a bit freaked by the 70 foot tall Geonid) "You sense that something has gone terribly wrong, cracks anf fissures appear across the Menhir's body, you sense that it would be a good idea to leave the area immediately" (those aren't the exact words, but it was something close to that)
Needless to say, I hauled butt outta there. I returned about 1-2 min after, carefully, and found no evidence of the Menhir, or anything that he left behind.

I know this sounds extremely far fetched, but do the Phenocryst quest, and follow the geonids after you get your focus...you'll soon see what I'm talking about.

I bet you should have given him the focus you received, it seems they all combined to make the giant. if you had given him the focus, well he could have finished whatever it was he was trying to do.
I am just wondering, is the focus that good of an item not to give it to him?

Menhir killing or giving focus??
# Mar 12 2001 at 5:30 PM Rating: Decent
Ok, I've been thinking about this for some time. There are two possibilities...

Killing the Menhir? Anyone done it and gotten any good loot?

Handing back in the Focus and seeing what happens? Anyone tried this yet?

If you have any question about your geonid faction, you can raise it by taking the focus gem to the Phenocryst, handing it to him, having a friend invis you, and THEN click give. This will raise your faction. Repeat this step until your faction is amiable. Took me two rounds to go from indiffrent to amiable. Not bad for having killed multiple geonids. Happy Questing!
Great way to just raise Dain frostreaver without zoning ; )

Although this says block, I used "a small piece of velium" which stacks from crystal caverns. I had like 25 on me from killing orcs there.

The nice thing is you can bind self by the smithing dwarf, get the axe from Norm and gate back, give the dwarf the axe and the small piece then repeat as much as you wish.

Everytime you get plus to the general thuragin faction but more importantly

Dain Frostreaver IV.

I did this like 7 or 8 times then stopped because I was kind of bored. The dain still cons glower dubious to me but this seems like a much faster way to raise him than trying to do quests such as the eastern wastes blanket one.

I'm an enchantress and have done quite a few minor quest of this nature to acheive good faction in various towns. Typically I've found it takes around 25-30 faction hits to alter your 'con' to an NPC. Not sure if this will be the same but should be.
If my faction to Geonid is not indifferently, can I do it?

We helped someone attempt to get theirs tonight, and she had skipped a part of the quest by casting benev, and was amiable, and failed.
Paw gem??
# Jan 15 2001 at 8:09 PM Rating: Default
Couldnt find the gem in Paw. looked from the first room and also was about 30 minutes in the 3 pillar area. Do the Gnolls pick things up there? Should I kill the 2 gnolls near the pillars or is the place still wrong?

I'm going to test the pickup thing with the near entrance gnolls today.

Haaa, Was there the next day too. THe bag was at the base of one of the pillars. Maybe someone had picked it up before. And no, the gnolls do not pick things up.

the right pillar is the southern one that is on the other side of the little spot of water. Easy to get with invis. And the corner before (south of) the 2 mobs near the pillars is aggrofree. You can reinvis yourself there if your invis drops.

Then I runned to BW and the bag was on the meteor, right next to ground. Now I just have to get around 10 ppl to help me kill the mobs.

Completed the quest late last night. Well here's all the info you'll need with killing the Giants. I turned in my 3 red crystals and the elbaite focus and Phenocryst told me something about the flesh destroy them and bring proof. AFte rI turned him my items I ran back to the cave entrance back to my group, about 1 minute later the ranger said the Accolytes of zek were on tracking, so pulled as we waited. My group consisted of a 52 Warrior, 54 Magi, 57 Magi, 52 Necro, 54 Cleric, and a 51 Ranger. And I saw both giants coming the ranger aggroed a panter and a goo also. My pet was hitting the goo cause the stupid thing aggroed me. The fight was looking very bad with all these mobs. Necro managed to fear the goo and I managed to get my pet on a accolyte. Through all the confusion we some how managed to kill both of them. The giants are very high magic resist but my fire spells would hit and the necro's dots would hit also. Complete beat up and oom we all rejoiced the great battle. I looted the two medallions and we medded. With most of us low on mana the ranger said the bloodpriest loukond was on track. WE decided to give it a minute before we pulled him since we were all beat up. I read that if you don't mess with the priest he'll run to the cave entrance then depop after one minute. Sure enough after about 1 minute of resting preist run up to cave, so we had no choice but to engage him in battle. We all put our pets on him as our ranger and warrrior hacked away. I managed to med up for a few blast as the necro constanly in lich just gave cleric mana. Let me tell you this was a tough fight that lasted a long long time. Priest was about to die then decided to complete heal himself. When that happed i didn't think we were going to be able to bring him down. We almost have him dead again and he complete heals again. Now it was looking bad. But we just kept a hacking and I kept medding up for blast as necro fed cleric mana, good thing about this was the fire shield we had, a 33 dmg one from the 57 magi. Next thing we know he's about to die and starts to cast heal again, good thing was it wasn't complete. Just a regular one, and finally we managed to drop him. I looted the medallion and turned them in and got my Phenocryst Focus +10 INT, +40 mana, +3 SV to all, +5 SV magic. AFter a minute Pheno cryst and the other 7 genoids in the room all start walking out the cave, I decided to follow them, we were all wondering what they were going to do, the walk out some and stand around them they all form into one big Genoid named "The Menhir". Conned yellow to the 57 magi so must be 58 or 59. I dunno if you can kill him or not, we just know that he didn't respond to hails. About 2 minutes after that, Menhir explodes into flames and dissapears. Phenocryst didn't spawn again. We stayed about 30 minutes after the explosion of Menhir and no PHenocryst :(. Gotta do the quest again for others in group. I hope this helps all.

Reddish Crystal FOUND

Well, apparently Verant decided to change the location that this thing spawns in. It no longer spawns at LOC 0,0 in splitpaw, it is now spawning behind a pillar right near where you go underwater to get to the Ishva.

Yep. Specifically it spawns on the leftmost island next to the pool that has the underwater tunnel leading to the Ishva Mal area. It spawns behind the island.

Also, I tried camping this spawn for a few hours without killing the gnolls nearby and nothing seemed to spawn. Then I cleared the gnolls that were wandering through and within a short period the crystal (also looks like a bag) had spawned. Hence, I suspect that the wandering mobs through this area (which seem to walk right over the spawn point by the way) seem to vacuum up the crystal as they walk by. I recommend keeping it clear to encourage the crystal to spawn.

New Crystal Location
# Feb 14 2001 at 11:38 PM Rating: Default
There is a new location for the red crystal.
It is still in paw. But not near the doorway.
Thank god it was next to impossible to get this crystal while it was in the doorway as people always camp the first room and grab it from the ground.
My guild is doing the quest right now. After we have our red crystals I'll post the exact location.
Or instead of spoiling the quest you can look for it just like I did. Makes the game more fun!

I have sat here for hours waiting for it to spawn, and it hasn't. I've also asked around in the zone and no one has picked it up. So, I strongly feel that they changed its location in the last patch. The location DId seem a bit easy to get to, and the fact that it was EXACTLY at LOC 0,0 in the zone was a bit suspicious (like they had not placed the item properly). So, given the fact that the other two items were near *significant* places (near slixin and near some wurms), that leads me to believe they might have moved it to near one of the big spawns in the zone. :( Has anyone found it since the last patch?

Reddish Crystal location known

Greetings,

I just ran through Paw last evening and the Reddish Crystal is exactly where an above poster said it was. Go into Paw as if you were heading for Ishva Mal. You have to drop off a ledge to go down to the lower level and then you come to an area that must be crossed under water to reach the Ishva Mal area. Do not go under water, the Reddish Crystal is on the small island/stlagmite on the Left that you can see from the 'shore area'. It looks like a bag, as all the other crystals do.

Hope this helps.
