Ok, turned in 8 stacks of bat wings. The ONLY spell I got was Flare, although she gave me one every time. Started Lvl 1, end up 1 blue into lvl 2. Recomend not wasting your time unless you need the spell. Go turn in CB belts and pads for MUCH more exp.

this quest is needed for the druid epic. it helps with faction. if you don't need a faction increase, i'd say this quest would be a waste of time.

After MUCH experimentation, we were able to conclusively confirm that she treats _any_ stack as a single batwing. ie, a stack of 4 batwings is counted as 1 batwing, and 4-4-4-4 is treated as 1-1-1-1 (one faction hit).
Best you can do therefore is 1-1-1-1, anything else is just wasting wings.

I con indifferent to Alrik Farsight. He still tells me "You must prove yourself to our cause before I can discuss this matter with you" or some such nonsense. What faction do I have to get in order for him to tell me what I want?

Alrik is on Keeper of the art faction. Do the batwing quest in Felwithe to raise it.

Lindarie, try the merchant sneak technique, if you have sneak. Stand BEHIND the vendor and hit sneak. You should then be indifferent. It might take a few goes to get sneak to work, as it checks against your sneak skill. Keep trying and sooner or later the sneak will take and you will be able to hand in.

what you need to do is Sneak right behind her, make sure sneak sticks, and then start handing batwings. this will get her to talk to you and therefore do the faction hits. have fun clicking, cuz ur gonna be handing in hundreds of batwings lol.

Edit : ok, finnaly i found how to do it : I moved to Neriak with a friend, then invis and go up where are standing this 3 or 4 maybe dont remeber well Dark elf sister, killed them for about a 3 or 3 and half time, them time repop are relativly short (10 min or so), after that i did again some bat wings turn and finnaly arlik start to talk to me and i did my epic without any others problems =)

Batwings are sold by the female Erudite merchant in East Commonlands. If you follow the path to WC, stop at the last inn and face towards it, she is in the small hut on the right.
If you can't get her to help you, even if you are in wolf form, then head to WC and camp Kizdean Gix for a few hours. He will give you Keepers faction. Head back and try to hand over Batwings again, with a wolf form.
I still have to get my iksar Monk in to see her and hand over a few stacks of batwings. Should be fun *shiver*

Started out apprehensive, so I stood behind her and used sneak to get indifferent. Gave her batwings four at a time (don't stack them). After 40 batwings, I was indifferent. After 120 batwings I was Amiable.

Since the latest round of patches, you can no longer do business (trading, handing items in, etc) with ANY Npc while Invised or Cammmoed. I believe this is also true when using hide but I have not confirmed that yet.

How do u accept a quest from someone?
there is no need to "accept" a quest ... just bring them what they ask for for a reward.. if you know what they want from some other source there is no need to visit the npc 1st.the only exception to this is if they give you a container to combine the items in.. then you will need to get the container from them by repeating back to them the items in brackets. (can still do this after collecting the needed items)

As stated many times before, I am also a druid who needs help doing the faction rais but have PKed an elf or 2 back in my youth so what I did (before the wolf form idea was mentioned) was snuk up on her using SNEAK of course and then hid using HIDE (what else) and turned them in. I have done over 300 and counting...anyway for those of you who cant wolf form yet thats another way to do it and you must sneak up from behind or it wont work.

Thebest way around this problem is to bring a friend with you tht can cast camo on you. After you hand Niola Impholder your 4 stack of 4 wings have your friend cast their camo/invis spell on you and than hit the trade button. You will recieve the faction and 4 level 1 mage spells. BRING A LOT OF WINGS! you will need then. I ended up using a total of 54 stacks to get warmly with her.

I gave my gnome mage (lvl 3) 10 stacks of batwings to see how much/little xp he would get.
I ended up with 2,3 blue bubs of xp.
ALL deliveries gave me the Flare spell.

I was dissapointed in the fact that you only recieve 1 spell no matter how many times you do it. You would think maybe they could make it harder after the first spell and have you get 4 of something else for a different one maybe. Oh well just a thought.

Im a druid trying to raise faction in order to do my epic i was freaked out when my fation was one step from KoS and every quest to raise that faction involved NPCs that felt the same way then i used wolf form and tada it works i hope this helps some other druid who has done nasty things too =)

FYI wolf form no longer works, so to those of us who cannot sneak your just SOL, gotta do either a lot of killing or a lot of the jeremy's letter quest till you are indifferent.. BTW this quest NPC see's invis now so camo is a no go as well, gotta love verant for all the horrable things that they allow their programmers to do to druids these days....peace and happy hunting

I just did this quest last night with my lvl 2 Mag, and I got exactly ZERO exp. I don't know if it is broken? I don't think so because I did get the flare spell?
I would suggest saving the bat wings and selling them to the higher lvl characters that frequently are willing to pay 2-5pp per stack.

if i do this quest over and over, will i get the same spell every time? or will i get different spells at a set rate, or is it a random mage spell that's given?

I have been trying to do this to raise faction up big time to start epic. Even though i am of the 22season Ranger of Tunare i cant seem to get anything out of her besides get out. I have just learned of buying batwings in EC but the vendor there also told me to leave. I con ally to the faydark champions so i have no clue what i am doing wrong any help would be appreciated,PLZ='(.

Just give niola the batwings 1 in each of her slots (dont just drop each 1 on her, they will all end up in same slot). Of course if yer prob is that you are doing it correctly (giving her the items, not right clicking her) then the persons reply (c above)will work, but ya can also, get someone to invis ya (do rangers get camo? like their druid counterparts?) just dont right click her, even if she cons ally, she will still tell ya to be gone, erm huh something about WRONG GUILD. Course it makes no diff its crap xp and factions arent that good either.

I looked everywhere in EC and cant find a vendor selling them. I found an erudite vendor in the N. Ro tunnel, but they didnt have any. Any suggestions?

Try the last inn set before you get to WC. I believe the merchant is in one of the single huts next to the inn.

For 5 sets of Bat Wings, I got 4 Flare spells and one Shield of Fire spell - level 8! Either the random number went my way or I transitioned from low-Amiable to high-Amiable in the middle of turing in the sets.
