Seek out Vizra, magia mortis fortitio in The Overthere in the outpost at /loc +1616, +1700, +5.

You say, 'Hail, Vizra, magia mortis fortitio'

Vizra, magia mortis fortitio says, 'Welcome to the place we call The Overthere. Hopefully you will find us [more accommodating] than we have been in the past. While this is a fortress, we do have some amenities for the weary traveler.'

You say, 'more accommodating'

Vizra, magia mortis fortitio says, 'You most certainly know that this port was controlled by the Teir'dal and their allies for decades. Our... [their] efforts to defend the port against the sarnak were commendable, but their resources were growing scarce. [Many] wanted to return home, and when the Combine arrived and asked for use of these defenses, it was an easy choice for most to leave. We even had the privilege of briefly hosting lady [Lcea] Katta and her entourage recently. We did our best to make her comfortable.'

You say, 'their'

Vizra, magia mortis fortitio says, 'I was one of them, of course. When my people were approached many wanted to fight, as is our nature. The idea of joining with the `weak` Combine was inconceivable to most. I was something of an outcaste, which is what brought me to this far away location in the first place. So when the Combine arrived I took the opportunity to join. I believe I have proven my worth and skill. They have given me a unique title, and I hope to [teach] others once things are stabilized here in Kunark.'

You say, 'teach'

Vizra, magia mortis fortitio says, 'I have learned the art of necromancy from the greatest teachers in Neriak. I may not be the strongest practitioner of the art, but I understand the theory very well. It is my desire to teach anyone willing to learn. There is no reason that anyone should be kept from understanding what I know. Even the Koada`dal could learn the art, if only they could get over their prejudices.'

You say, 'Many'

Vizra, magia mortis fortitio says, 'I say many simply because some of my people did not return home. There were some that had been talking about how soft and friendly our people in Neriak had become. The steady stream of Teir'dal `heroes` that we have encountered in our work here has them worried. They believed that the heart of Hate was gone from their people. I fear that they may have done something foolish, for I saw them sneak off into the interior of Kunark rather than join the others that teleported home. Where they may have gone and why, I do not know.'

You say, 'Lcea'

Vizra, magia mortis fortitio says, 'Ah, well. I did happen to see her leaving in the night. I do tend to be a night owl by training, after all. They headed toward the Skyfire mountains. This did concern me, since the sarnak have a large presence there these days. I have even heard that some of those horrifying greenish sarnak were seen there recently. It is not my place to say, but I do worry for her safety. Her guards were, I understand, the best of the best. But those sarnak scared even my kinsmen. Are you here to [help] mistress Lcea?'

You say, 'help'

Vizra, magia mortis fortitio says, 'Ah, that is encouraging. There was a look in lady Katta's eyes that I have seen before. She seemed consumed with Hate, and I worry for her. I might recommend different approaches to Skyfire, depending on the size of force you can bring to bear. If you have a [large] force, I can send you right to the heart of the mountains. If you have a [smaller] contingent, perhaps a more circumspect entry would be best.'

You say, 'smaller'

Vizra, magia mortis fortitio says, 'Good, very good. Keep the lady safe. Let me know when you are [ready] and I can send you where you need to be.'

You have been assigned the task 'End of Empire'.

You say, 'Hail, Lcea Katta'

Lcea Katta says, 'Well, it's the heroes. I'm glad to have you here, though disappointed that my father still hasn't seen [what needs to be done].'

You say, 'what needs to be done'

Lcea Katta says, 'I had hoped that my father would send Combine troops to help me deal with this issue. He needs to understand that we can't live here with these beasts. These hideous sarnak and their evil dragon masters will never let us live in peace. We need to stop them, I need to stop them, here and now. [Will] you help me? If not, it would be best for you to [leave] no before the fighting starts.'

You say, 'Will'

Lcea Katta says, 'That's good. I'm done waiting for my father's help. Prepare yourselves and let me know when you are ready to [start] this fight. I suspect that once we charge that hill there will be no returning until the battle is won.'

You say, 'start'

The event starts.

Lcea Katta says, 'Good. Let's put an end to this once and for all time.'

Kar`Zok Warleader Hegron shouts, 'Destroy these fools. Kunark is ours now!'

Talendor shouts, 'If you wish to fight, then do so. Let us finally see if the Kar'Zok are as strong as they say. Until this is over, none of you leave!'

Talendor will cast Talendor's Fiery Breath (spell id?). On emote, this needs healed through.

You will begin with 3 Kar`zok mobs. Balance kill the mobs to not get overwhelemed.

Kar`zok Lifestealers will use Virulent Toxin (spell id?), which will viral to group members.

Once you start getting Meteor emotes, you will need to click the shield looted from Kar`zok mobs in the center of the giant red circles to deflect meteors. It is best to do this during the later parts and just move out of the red circles before it due to click re-use time. Players in the red circle will be hit with Draconic Meteor (spell id?), if not deflected.

When Kar`Zok Warleader Hegron attacks, he will emote people about being doomed, they will be hit with Doomhammer, run away if you get the emote

Kar`Zok Warleader Hegron will also have a nearby emote that does Hammer Smash if you don't run out

When Overking Bathezid is the final mob, simply range kill him to win.

You will want to loot Overking's Tooth during this mission to be used in the Veeshan's Peak Key Quest Scaled Key.

  1. Kill Overking Bathezid. 0/1 Skyfire Mountians

  2. Open Chest. 0/1 Skyfire Mountains

The first three waves of mobs are easy. If you you kill any of the mobs in the first three rounds, the next wave will come in. If this is a problem for your group to deal with (you don't have the dps or crowd control), make sure you balance them.

The fourth wave comes with five mobs. This is a good place to use your burn stuffs. It has 2 soulfeasters, 2 chokidai, and the warlord who comes a few seconds after those first four. It is advisable to take out the Soulfeasters first as they spawn will more chokidai.

Ran this today on my 115 group.

I also buffed up the NPCs first and then stacked all my guys on the spot they would come too. And then since I was boxing, I set 2 on 1 mob, 2 on another mob, then I swapped tanking on the one the NPCs had, and then the 2 that my alts were attacking.

Last person was my healing who just did that.

I did not find the instance so much difficult unless I burned down mobs too quickly and yes got overwhelmed regardless of level. Primarily after getting overwhelmed I didn't know what mobs to kill first and died the first try.

Quick Summary
  • I set my mage and enchanter pets on taunt so they could tank their mobs and that was no problem for them
  • I AOE slowed everything and did not try to mez anything
  • Even with full buffs on I lost 2 NPCs, so buffing them is important
  • Don't make the mistake I did and have your alts too far back, they will die to Talendor
  • When it says, just Range kill Over at the end, that is because he is outside the circle of death, and standing with his back to you, at the end of the platform and does NOTHING to defend himself. Pets can go in, nukes will go in, just don't go past the ring (if you have particles off, you won't see it so just don't go passed the second columns on the walls. This would about... 30 feet behind him or just passed midpoint of the platform

Please note this has a 6 hour lock out

"This was not about the Kar Zok AOE. If you dont stand with your ally like in the center you will get 3 x 70k breath on you.
Then the karzok attack you and yes if you dont have the aoe blocker you are basically dead."

The EOK blocker isn't really mandatory anymore if you're doing this with 115 TOV tier three geared toons. I powered through it with a shaman as the sole healer and a well-geared, Max AA SK. Ignored the shields and then the two beastlords in the party send in their pets to kill Bathezid. We did balance kill and we pre-buffed the NPCs. Went very quickly.
