But as I have faith that this tome will one day be assembled as it was always meant to be and never was I have faith that the pages do still exist, waiting to be unearthed

finally i know what these books are for hee hee I can destroy them now have had 3 in the bank for almost a year... i'm max kos in PoG not going to bother trying to fix faction for MQ it would be 10x easier for a mage to get the 4 books.

I completed this quest yesterday, and am thrilled with my belt, Chord of Vines.

AC8 Sta 5 Int 10 Mana 40 Fire/Cold 10 Magic 5.

Quest was not difficult, just had to kill Jaelk in Skyshrine until all 4 tomes dropped, then return to the moss covered treant to turn them in. Could do Jaelk with myself and a 60 pally, tho usually was with a large group of friends that were gathering exp of the wyverns located in the next room (thanks again Imperial Dynasty). Books dropped randomly, and not too often, but all in all was not too bad, Jaelk is on 30 min timer btw.

i think is well worth the effort, and faction is fixable tho annoying to do.

Do you lose a lot of faction from killing the two named wurms? I'm on SkyShrine faction and it's funny that a SkyShrine quest gives positive TunareanCourt faction whereas a PoG quest would drop skyshrine and yelinak faction. Any help is appreciated.

First off, this is a mage quest (High Elf Tunare only). The reward is a belt called 'Chord of Vines', the stats are:
AC 8
Int 10, Sta 5, Mana 40, Sv Fire/Cold 10, Sv Magic 5.

The 4 tomes needed are off of the two named wurms in SkyShrine (Jaelk and Lariath).

The "Tirranna" that you see is the name of the character that hailed the treant to find out more ... a normal PC.

This quest will give you a high elf magician belt that has 10int and other stats on it. It is no drop and is race and class specific. No faction was gained or lossed but I did get half a blue bubble of exp for doing it and I am level 60

I have all 4 of these tomes, but I know not what I can do with them. They are all NO DROP. I am a CLERIC, of Innoruuk.. and KOS to Plane of Growth hah. Well, if anyone finds out anything more on this please post.. Perhaps I can multiquest them with a guild mage. Or perhaps this item is droppable? Who knows, but if it ends in Plane of Growth, may as well destroy the wasted bank space.

please where do you find them ?
I'm looking for them since a long time never found.
The quest ends in POG you have to give the tomes to the mosscovered tree then you recive a belt Highelf mage Tunare only.
Not multiquestable cause you'r KOS in POG

some wurm that roams in the hall right befor the wyrens drops the 4 tombs for the quest, so far i've goten 3 or them Tomb of Elemental congization,understanding,thought, don't know last ones name. the wurms name starts with a J Jailk i think

I killed a wurm Named Jaelk short before the wyvern but all I get was a lvl 60 Ranger spell and a pearl (rofl) then I killed the wurm next to him Lararith but this one was empty :(
Thanks for loosing my hard worked Yelinak faction Varant.
So please tell me if it s sure that Jaelk drop those tomes and does he random drop all 4 or how to understand ? You need 4 Tomes to complete where to get them ? please would be nice to poste where you get the other tomes.

Has anyone tried making him puke the books? Theres a quest for epicac from the gnomish zookeeper, that, among other things, lets you do the stein of moggok without ******** halas or qeynos faction.

Whine whine whine. Did you honestly expect for it to drop the very first time off of them?? Park yourself up there for 3 - 4 hours and you will get the books. Regrettably I am a human mage so I will have to multiquest the three books I picked up off them with someone or keep as a nice souvenir.

I know that the tomes do NOT drop at the first time that was not my problem I never saw something drop at the first time we r talking about EQ ! If you could read you would see that the problem is loosing Yelinak faction ! My guild raise Yelinak faction to quest there ! And POG and Skyshrine works together so I really don t understand the indication to kill Mobs which are Yelinak faction based !
So I only ask if it s SURE Jaelk drops the tomes before lower my hard worked Yelinak faction too much that was all.

there is much more text to this quest..it continues to talk of Arch mages that hold the ultimate conjuration powers...seems they died in Skyshrine, and you are to find the remains of the mages and return the pages they drop to the Treant.....

There is some way to get him to talk furthuer, and you find out there are 4 mages who have the pages, and i believe they are located in skyshrine.

Has anyone furthered this conversation with him by asking "What servant" or "What answer"? Just wondering if that might trigger more conversation with a bit more detail to go on? Maybe the servant got away with some of the research afterall and has been hoarding it. Just a thought.
