If ya can bring me four shardwurm claws, maybe I can rig 'em up into enough picks to keep us runnin' on time with our crystal mining.'

WOW, thanks everyone, i have been trying to get this pick for a while. I am a 19 halfling war, and i got all of the claws, but thought for the longest time that the guy was in thurg mines :P. i realy want this weap, now I should be able to get it :) thanks.

Hey all. Finished the quest a few days ago and we did multi quest it. I parked my 16 war where me (41mage and 40 cleric) where slaughtering young shardwurms. I looted 1 with my warrior and he looted the other 3 so i wouldnt have to bounce back in and out.. remake pet and all that. We found the Coldain Mining Expedition past the giant camp with the camp to your left run straight with the wall to your left you will run into it. Relik i believe his name was is in there just have to look around a bit. If you multi quest it have one person hand in 3 1 at a time then have the person getting the axe hand in last piece. Faction i dont think matters that much i was apprehensive and still got it. will be sending in a pick of it. Hope all of this helps :) and btw kill young wurms for the claws you get them much faster.

Look who gives out the quest. Dwarves. Now Dwarves are a small race, and therefore give out equipment that is of their size like most other quests. You don't see too many quests where the quest giver can't actually use the item.

Just incase no one has found out this very nice weapon is for th smaller classes only!!
Im a Human Ranger and spent 2 nights none stop getting these claws and when i finally handed them in, the smile dropped straight to my toes as i cannot use it and, as has been mentioned, its no drop so i cant even pass it on or sell.
Thanks again Verant, someone ask him to lay off the puff when designing these items!!
(btw i know he does not do the designing but HEY ya gota blame someone)

OK, I'm a lvl 30 ranger, I know, way too low, but I was partnered with a lvl 45 necro friend of mine, we took down a ton of these guys from young to ancient for 5-6 hours. . .only one claw dropped. I was ticked off, I want that pick, hehe

Can anyone tell me what faction +/- was with this quest?

so where is this Coldain Mining expedition located ?
where are the tunnels ?
In thurgadinn mines ?
was looking left and right for the Miner Relik ..
didnt found him anyway

Anyone find a use for the Shardwurm Fangs (not Claws) that drop off of the Guardian Wurms?

Where is the tunnel where Relik can be found?

The first reward is a 1hs pick that has decent stats (I'm at work so I'm going from memory). It's 12/29 +7 STA, weight 10, effect: veilum shards. It's graphic is a pick. The problem is that right now it's MAGIC,LORE,NO DROP and only usable by melee classes. It would be a pretty good mid range item if it was droppable.

The second reward is a huge pile of exp. I did this quest in a group of 5 people (lvl 42,28,51,51,51) and we all got noticeable exp. For the lvl 51 folks it was about equal to 5 blue kills, which isn't too bad. There is no faction either good or bad at this time. The claws are no drop too so you have to get them yourself.
