This quest begins with Cobi Frostbeard in Thurgadin. He's found in an unmarked shop: After zoning in, cross both bridges, turn left towards the bank, then (at the bank) hang a right. He'll be in the fifth shop on the left.
You say, 'Hail, Cobi Frostbeard' Cobi Frostbeard says 'Greetings to you. I seek one who calls himself a druid. What do you call yourself, manling?' You say, 'I call myself a druid' Cobi Frostbeard says 'Good. I had hoped you were one. As nature's guardian, you fight the never-ending struggle against those who seek to defile it. It is an admirable quality and I wish to aid you. I will provide you with a cap, a tunic, sleeves, bracers, gloves, leggings and boots.' You say, 'What tunic?' (response?) Cobi promises to make you a Tunic if you bring him an Eroded Leather Tunic and three Black Marbles. Black Marbles are dropped in various Velious zones while Eroded Leather armor drops from the higher level giants in Kael Drakkel. Cobi Frostbeard smiles warmly as he hands you your reward. 'You have done well, _____.' Your faction standing with Coldain got better. Your faction standing with Dain Frostreaver IV got better. Your faction standing with Kromzek got worse. Your faction standing with Kromrif got worse. You gain experience!! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

actually this stuff FARLY outranks vermi, and is a bit better than ES

What do you expect? This is fairly close to vermiculated as far as stats are concerned...
Perhaps you'd prefer that uber gear dropped off of bats and moss snakes? Get real.
And deal with the fact that good gear is tough to get. That's how it should be.

I have a feeling that like all the other quests ive checked, this is gonna be a lil worse than the kael quest. Its only like 1 resist worse from what ive seen and like one 2ndary stat is one less.(a pattern that the necro and enchanter gloves share im assumeing that it shall with our suit too.) Just what ive noticed

where are the gems for the druid chest dropped? Are all the BP gems dropped in SIren's Grotto? The armor drops in Kael and Gems drop in WL (off suits), Turagadim B(below), Cobalt Scars (wyverns & Drakes), Velketors, and probably more. Just don't knwo where the rare BP gems have dropped... I have never seen one. If you know pease let me know, thanks!

I've seen black marble drop in velketor's one time. In a month of hunting the spiders and statues in the front door, i've seen 3 rare gems drop.

Dont get mixed up with crushed black Marble or anthing with a name before it. Its "Black Marble" and only that the others are wrong and I believe no Black Marbles drop off Wyverns.....you got to got to SG, DN or Velks for them.

yes that was my question..ive gotten Crushed Black Marble and Chipped Black marble..cruhed was from Velks chipper from CS wyverns...so that was my question...and are u sure theres ones just titled"Black Marble"?

YEs there are ones titled just "Black Marble" Not sure of all the locations, but they definately drop in Dragon Necropolis off the rats (chetari, I believe is what they are actually called)

They also drop off the Golems and Gargs in Velk's 9the lvl 55+ ones). But where does the tunic thing drop?

LOL! come on gang! what level should you be able to aquire this? 10? this is a HUGE item! of course you need to be higher level to aquire it. Did you have a paw of opolla your first level? let's keep our eye on the ball here folks.
Oh yeah. gems are not no-drop so you could buy them at any level.

I haven't seen any Eroded Leather items yet but if you start seeing them please post away would love to do some new quests.

The tunic drops off high lvl giants in Kael, and the gems are drops from several mobs in Waking land.
The tunic is a rare drop also and needs a very high lvl group or several high lvl groups to obtain.
hope this helps a bit---but like all things i've found on eq, this doesn't mean these things can't also drop somewhere else.

Does anyone know the name of giant that drops the Eroded tunic?
In the lower part of Icewell, we took 3 50ish groups in, and over a few hours collected a slew of gems (plus a rare drop dagger and some spells). This area is ave mob lvl 51-55, and just judging from the zone mobs, this place makes OS look like a kindergarden. Every mob in the zone is summon capable and the week ones start out about 188 double hitting=) Now don't get the top confused with the bottom of the zone, because the dwarfs won't take kindly to you hunting in the kings castle=) ENter Icewell from the tunnel below the entry bridge, but have CotH of some portage for tanks, once they fall from the bridge, thy can't get back up.

You say you haven't seen any eroded leather. Does that mean you have found the gems? If so can you please post where they drop.

I have beeen getting some of the gems off of the Suit of sentinet armor in the wakeing lands! plus some nice sk armor as well.
