If you have the POP flag from Agnarr, Bearuth will offer you a quest
You say, 'Hail, Bearuth the Stoic' Bearuth the Stoic says 'With the return of Lord Karana's power comes the return of his visions. I have been informed that destiny has guided you here for but a single purpose. And though we already know the path you will choose, I too am destined to play my part. Will you [defy the will] of the pantheon?' You say, 'defy the will' Bearuth the Stoic says 'Very well. I will bestow upon you a portion of the Codex of History if you prove yourself worthy. There are three shades that are keepers of ancient lore long since forgotten. You must find them and return their portions of the lore to me. Only then will you have proved yourself worthy of the Codex.' Turn in: Ancient Lore of the Future Ancient Lore of the Past Ancient Lore of the Present Bearuth the Stoic says ''These pieces of the lore you have returned prove you are now worthy of receiving my master's blessings.' Chanting loud enough to drown out the thunder, Bearuth spreads his arms out widely as if to embrace the storm itself. Stamping his staff three times on the ground in rhythm with the crash of thunder, a small whirling maelstrom appears above your head. Suddenly a bolt of lightning strikes you, leaving you briefly dazed. Wondrously a tome written in the language of the gods has appeared in your hands. 'Go now and fulfill your destiny. The mortal path, though fraught with peril, leads to a time where they, not gods, decide the fate of the universe.'' You gain party experience!! No physical tome appears in your inventory, but you are now able to zone in BOT. (However, Talisman of Thunderous Foyer does not appear on /keyring) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

On Mangler, this quest is active. But, to clear things up, it won't work if you have BoT and Agnarr flag since it's just a bypass. It only works if you have the Agnarr flag and don't have the BoT flag. It does not flag your entire group like some other alternate access quests.
you can be 85'ed in to get this drop
I find it very strange that one of the pieces drops in BoT itself.

In PoP raiding, you had to unlock the next tier by winning raids. If you were present when the raid was won, you earned a key into the next zone. However not 100% of the guild can be at the raid 100% of the time. These quests generated alternate access to the zones for the people who missed the raids or new members to the guild so the guild did not have to complete a trivial raid just to key a handful of people. 85'ed refers to being in a raid that 85% of the raid is keyed for the zone (72*0.85=61.2). The person lacking the key could piggy back into the zone and obtain the last piece of the alternate access key.
The reason the last piece is dropped in the zone you are gaining access to is simply that it is a raid bypass. If you were not in a guild that had earned access to the tier by beating the previous tier, you could not enter the zone to get alternate access.

You can get into BoT without the Talisman of Thunderous Foyer if you're at least 55. So that's not an issue.
Also if you killed Agnarr you can get the Agnarr flag although you still need the flag for BoT access for PoP progression.
I guess turning in 3 items is easier than running all over PoS and killing a ton of giants for the BoT flag.

Logically i cant discern which zone this would give you access to. But im going to try and look into this as well. Any community help is also more then welcome :)
