Quote from Aristo on this event

"Hate's Fury Sails Again

For our 17th Anniversary, we've added a hybrid event to Norrath called “Hate’s Fury: Seventeen Pieces of Silver.” Krasnok's ship, Hate's Fury: The Scorned Maiden, has set sail once again, and this time he's got friends. Sixteen of them, in fact. Each of them will give a reward of Commemorative Coins, and if you defeat all of the crew members, you can unlock the door to Krasnok's cabin and face the Captain (#17!) himself for raid-quality rewards."

16 pieces of Cursed Piece of Silver will need to be looted off all of the minis. Once you reach the Captain's door, put a coin on your cursor and click on the door until you go through all 16.

Say stupid to a besotted sailor in Crypt of Nadox to trigger the raid.

Say ready to enter the instance.

One gets 19 Commemorative Coins for cleaning the 16 minis inside the instance, each one of them giving 1 or 2 coins.

Game Update Notes: December 14, 2016
- Captain Krasnok (Seventeenth Anniversary) - Made several changes to the 17th Anniversary Event:
- - Krasnok and the Fists of Hate summon only after they have been damaged, rather than immediately.
- - Fixed a bug with the spell Hate's Furies: increased recast time from 7.6 seconds to 46 seconds.
- - Sweeping Scimitar radius reduced from 150 to 120. Two more people can stand safely inside each bubble. Bubbles should always appear inside the playable area. Added a decal to the bubbles to make them a bit more visible.

My raid was made up of 12 toons, me and 11 of my alts. I had more alts but didnt bring them into the raid zone.

Note: for some reason it takes like 3-5 minutes, between fights, before I can enter a rested state... i dont know what it is, so it took forever for me to med (my tank) each time I needed to.

BIG NOTE: You can drop Camp Fires in here which is great. After Magpie died, I dropped one in that room as its where you will be at the midpoint before dropping down.

Quick Notes:
  • Mobs had a lot of hit points
  • Adds/Random Mobs barely did any damage to me
  • Named were just annoying with their tricks
  • IVU works on some mobs not others
  • Dispel is nice as the mobs can be buffed
  • I got zero drops inside
  • Levitate is not your friend if you had alts on auto follow
  • If you die during boss fight you will get the coin when you rez
  • At 115 everything was light blue
  • You do not have too kill all adds, many just by pass

These summaries are of mobs in order that I killed them, although you could do a few in another order

Samson
Samson was not hard, but him vanishing sucked, as I just wanted him dead. Its like doing the Black Pearl quest, the first name does some type of rogue vanish. Same thing.

Clara
Clara was not hard, but something hit me (I'm a fully AA'd 2.5 COV player made Tiered Tank), that caused healing to do pretty much nothing too much and I took huge damage. I was tanking Clara, her Musician Named guy and 2 other adds at once. It only happened one time but I did almost died. It wore off I healed up and we killed them. had to clear a few more mobs before we could continue and I had to med for like 6 minutes.. I also didn't get the Silver coin until the Musician guy was dead, not when Clara died, but I did get the commemorative coin when she died.. /shrug

Gaither
I pulled the first mob on the left, really close to the door. He somehow aggroed Gather and nothing else.

Gaither was really easy, however he killed my lowbies i brought to get the achieve, with his AOE fire dot. they have their heroic gear on that's is so I couldn't save them as I didn't pay attention. He died really fast. But when he says he is going to burn someone that's his dot, watch your lowbies. It took almost 5 minutes after he died so be able to med.. Oye wtheck

Walking up the stairs immediately aggroed 2 mobs

Magpie
Went up to Magpie's room. Killed the first 2 mobs guarding the door. we were all shrunk, so I turned immediately left, and could see her stand on the other side of the "grate" for the hold below. I jump up onto the ledge and Paladin Tash pulled her. She came and we smoked her down. At 12% she said something about being too close, it seemed like some kind of aoe, and then my wizard 1 shotted her down, so we took pretty much zero damage from it.

Bell Ivory
Pulled her from the bottom of the steps. She was super easy until 8%, where she rolled a giant cannon ball lol on top of me. All my 115s took about 40% or less damage.. My alts in heroic gear all died again.. /sigh. only 1 add came with her and it was the one on the left side when facing her.

Take the stairs to the left. No need to clear those extra mobs

Roach Doctor
As soon as I entered his room a mob at the door aggroed me. It aggroed him from across the room and a rat. The "Roach" was not hard, however he cast a mean dot on everyone in the raid that ate your HP. in my alt group I dropped a healing totem and OT heal to keep them all alive. Other than that it was easy

Razor Moly
She was a dwarf and had 3 adds with her. two times during her fight she said something like "my hate for XXX player is unbound" but nothing happened to them... she died fast and her adds.. No idea what he debuff was supposed to do. As the tank she did silence me for over a minute but the mobs were on me or the Mage Pet so no biggie

Barnacle Batty
It was a total tank and spank, she died in about 9 seconds.

This is the part where I intermission'd for a second, because i got to the end lol and had only killed 7 bosses woops.. clearly I didn't go all the ways i needed
ok so I went back down to find the other bosses

So in the Room where MagPie is, I mentioned the grate. Right at the far end (near Magpie) there was a ladder. You take that down. But its more like you teleport down, because you "fall" and it drops you into a freaking mess of 2 bosses and a lot of adds. first time I died because i dropped myself in and no one else :-) ugg me.

Ok all buffed and ready to go again, dropped down

Alabaster
He was only tough because he was dropping a serious dot on people (groups) and blind on me. I just made sure to have a heal totem down and no worries we killed him easy and no adds this time. I didn't blindly run around.. woops
Just make sure when you drop down from above you just drop down, don't move around. I got unlucky and got him and Blue Belly together the first time, plus a roamer and all the rats. The second time just him at first.

Blue Belly
Was pretty easy, aside from the zillions of rats he spawned... just get aggro and stay healed. Pretty straight forward tank and spank.

Groboggler
After Alabaster and Blue Belly, I took the nearest "down" opening. The first room on your right has Groboggler. He comes with like 3 adds. I am not 100% sure what he does, but it seemed like he causes me to lose him as my target and another mob in its place, so watch that and make sure you keep him targeted. Also my health was... dropping on my primary team and all my healers. Not sure why, but my lowbie alts, who are in the group with 2 with my spare clerics, took no damage. I couldn't heal myself past the 70% on the toons until he died.

Squid Ink larg
Another easy tank and spank. Him and 2 adds, watch out he will also blind/retarget you to another mob, so watch out when he does that. He also did some kinda dot on my people that killed one of my lowbies. I didn't drop a healing totem, or I'd have been fine.

Bad Beards
A complete tank and spank. I was in the hallway and didn't realize he was in the room (where at that is) and pulled 1 mob, and I ended up with 2 adds and the named. Was really easy, but you do need to up the DPS, especially when he takes a stance. Complete warrior abilities. No weird stuff other than that.

Jynx One-Eye [Dread Pirate]
I don't know if you can split the room or not, but I constantly got him and all the adds, so like 7-8 mobs at once. The dot killed my second group because I needed to focus on my primary group. I aoe slowed them and then it was pretty cake from there. But yeah it hurt at first. Again I don't know if you can split them. Initially i just tried to pull the single mob by the door, but the named came, and they must be leashed to their rooms, because he popped back, summoned me and it was just me versus all the mobs lol.. So I died once.

So I suggest trying to split the non-named mobs out if you can. if you have the slows and tanking and heals just go in for all of it in the room. Just don't back out or he will summon and its painful after that.

The Bilge Fox [Dread Pirate]
This guy was a pita, because i still didn't realize they were leashed (yes I am dense). so I ran in, tried to pull a mob that was to the right, while the named was on a hanging platform way to the left. The single mob came and so did the named. He immediately summoned my cleric and killed him. He then summoned me and it was nuts for a minute. Finally I got my bearings and my other cleric could heal me through the wall. I stayed and solo tanked him and the adds, while my casters sent their pets in.

I had him and 3 adds, but I thanked them all no problem. he wasn't tough really, just me being dumb with the leashing and summoning.

BOSS
ok, so after I killed The Bilge Fox, I had to clear a rat near the ladder and ran up that and you can run back to the Captains quarters.

NOTE: I had killed 8 not 7 mobs when I first went to the bosses door. This was important, because I forgot this and at the end, I only had 15 pieces and figured I screwed up and didn't loot one of them somewhere. Instead, I had had all 16, but when I had originally clicked the door (with 8), it took one, but then said "You haven't paid it all yet". Me not paying attention didn't realize he took one. So I was freaking.

BOSS Fight
Yes we got wasted. We were tanking him and the mana drain was bad. Then he started to get madder or something but the purple swirls were there, so I ran all my guys into it and it helped with whatever was going on. You just stand in it.

However, after it would go away, i'd get mana drained etc again and rinse repeat. At about 70% 4-5 adds spawned and killed us all because I was nearly OOM and so were the healers so we just wiped.

I don't see how I can box this honestly. I don't use ISBoxer or any other program so I don't think me clanking the keyboards will ever get me to kill him.

NOTE: All my toons in the raid, even those in the Guild Hall, got the achievement for killing the Mobs. So that was nice. But I won't get it for killing the Boss. Right now chats are down so I can't even ask for help. Oh well :-( Maybe next year

Excellent info. I'd love to see a log of the fights against all these npc's so I can attach spells to them. You can email your logs to me at eqteam@allakhazam.com

It is not 16 pieces of Cursed Piece of Silver are looted off each mini
It is "A total of 16 of a "Cursed Piece of Silver", are looted between the mini bosses"
