Plane of Air Event: Avatar of Smoke

This is a triggered raid event in Eryslai, the Kingdom of Wind (the Plane of Air). It is one of four parts involved in keying oneself to Xegony's island.
The Avatar of Smoke can only be spawned if "an apparition of smoke" is up in the Temple of Smoke (the apparition is trackable, untargetable, and unkillable). 
The Elementals First, you'll need to head to the Elemental Isle and kill all the elementals there. Doing so spawns 4x "an elemental champion" in the middle of the island. Kill these to spawn "An Elemental Masterpiece". It drops one loot item and sometimes a spell: Bejeweled Dagger of Summoning Tethered Air Cape Glyphed Rune Word Spectral Parchment Note: If you get a PH mob ("An Elemental Anomaly") instead of the named at the end of this ring event, it means the Avatar isn't spawnable at this time (either it hasn't yet respawned after having been killed, or it's been very recently failed). Avatar of Smoke Upon the death of "An Elemental Masterpiece", the Avatar of Smoke spawns inside the Temple of Smoke. You have 45 minutes before it despawns. Avatar of Smoke shouts 'The time has come for all intruders to be tested! I will not allow you to pillage this plane any longer!' The Avatar of Smoke hits for a max ~2,000; flurries; mem blurs itself; AEs "Hail Storm"; and procs "Tornado" and "Cyclone": Hail Storm: PB AE 80', Magic (0) 1: Decrease Hitpoints by 400 2: Stun (1.00 sec) Tornado: Single Target, Magic (-100) 1: Stun (0.50 sec) 2: Decrease Hitpoints by 200 per tick Cyclone: Single Target, Magic (-150) 1: Stun (0.50 sec) 2: Decrease Hitpoints by 200 per tick 4: Decrease Agro Multiplier by 95% Loot from the Avatar includes 5x "Mystical Essence of Smoke" (key item) + 1 loot item (first list) + 1 armor mold (second list) + 4 spells (third list): Alabaster Hilted Wind Bow Puremetal Band Woven Steel Sash Elemental Chain Glove Pattern Elemental Gauntlet Mold Elemental Leather Glove Pattern Elemental Silk Glove Pattern Glyphed Rune Word Spectral Parchment | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

i had An Elemental Anomaly spawn in place of An Elemental Masterpiece at the end of this event. its probably a ph for the named win it has a spawn timer. the avatar of smoke did not spawn win i finished the event.

I can confirm this Jeb. I had the same spawn at the end of my event. I don't believe it is a place holder though, I have a feeling if the event is completed within a certain amount of time by someone else, it cannot be done for a while, and you get these odd end of cycle spawns instead of the correct ones. The same thing happened when I completed the Stormrider section just a few hours ago. I never got the correct end of cycle spawn, in fact nothing happened at all, I believe someone had attempted the event a few hours before me.
