I just got one to drop tonight off one of the giants in the Giant Fort in Warsliks Woods. Just a regular giant, but you can see the hammer on him if he has it. No other giant shows any weapons even though they occasionally drop them when killed. Three days killing giants for EXP and only saw one hammer drop. This was on the Aradune time locked server, currently in the Velius expansion.

how much does this lil gem cost and if so is it just better to do the quest then to buy it? Is the hammer a rare drop or common what?

Have no idea about the gem, but the hammer is fairly rair, I camped it for 3 days (about 3-5 hours a day) befor I got one

I have 4 items that are part of quests; however on all of these quests it says that the recommended class is a Shaman. Does this necessarily mean that a Shaman is the only class for the quest?

If in doubt, You can click on the Link of the item under the 'REWARD' line of the description. In this case the Item is Ikky Shaman only.

what do you say to him to give ya the quest, besides Oxyn sent me?

their next little line of text has something in brackets for him I think it is [collect rare supplies] just parrot it back to him like you would any NPC quest text, say "I will collect rare supplies" the oxyn sent me thing is mainly because this armor was intended to be a follow on quest of some sort, although I haven't seen it mentioned in any of the skull quests, oh well another verant ***** up I would guess.

It's actually mentioned in the skull quest. He doesn't leave a key word or anyting that you ask him about He just tells you to tell the furscales he sent you

This is a nice cloak and is one of the easiest pieces of scaled mystic to obtain. I got mine at lvl 18 (grouped with a lvl22 monk). The char was an easy kill in lake of ill omen (found anyhere in southern half), the giant was in Warsilk Woods fortress. If the giant has the hammer, you can see it in his hand. The stone is bought from the gem dealer near the bank in ECab.

I found mine out in Lake of Ill Omen near the windmill. Did not take too long to get it either. Ended up dropping on about my 3rd charbone skeleton.

They drop off Charbone Skeletons in the lake of ill omen, over the hill outside the zone to FM.

could somebody please post more info on this quest? like how it starts, where you have to go to get the items, Who you have to talk to, to start the quest, or whom to turn these items into, ???

first do the first quest that oxyn gives you at the guild house. he will tell you to go to the furscales they have some labor for you. just leave the guild and follow the water around to the left and go up the first stairs you see. inside tell each of the furscales "oxyn sent me".

What drops the hammer and how rare is it, only hammers I seem to be finding are the Hammers of Flatening off of Greenwoods

I got the hammer in FM while camping the giant fort. We saw three Hammer of Flattening before there was one of these. I have seen days where you could find giants with weapons with ease and other days where you were hard pressed to find any. So keep looking and you will find one at some point. It looks just like the other hammer in the hands of the giants so just "KILL 'EM ALL!"

Keep trying, the forest giants drop them, they look like a hammer with a spike on the back side when the giant has one.
