It begins with Historian Fjilnauk (click for map image) on Thuliasaur Island. Pre-Requisites for Requesting: - Minimum Level 95 - Minimum apprehensive faction with The Kromtus - Completed "Honoring the Elders" Say "willing" to request the task. You say, 'Hail, Historian Fjilnauk' Historian Fjilnauk says 'Welcome back, small one.' The great giant smiles, 'I must say, the diligence and care you displayed in conducting our memorial ceremony has assured me that you are trustworthy. As trustworthy as any _____ can be anyway. I have a more perilous task for you, if you are [willing] to undertake it.' You say, 'I am willing' Historian Fjilnauk says 'During the night one of the wild jungle beasts made its way into the village and escaped with one of the precious few artifacts that dates back to our first generation. It is rare that the creatures are bold enough to make such a raid, but as pacifists we cannot meet their aggression with aggression of our own. Though we have no rules that forbid accepting the help of outsiders willing to fight on our behalf...' You have been assigned the task 'Recovering Our History'. Historian Fjilnauk needs you to help recover an ancient Kromtus artifact that was stolen by the increasingly violent dinosaurs. Given how little of the clan's history has been preserved from the last generations of elders every single trinket and relic holds immense historical value. 
Search the stomachs of a few raptors 0/2 (Thuliasaur Island) Task Window Says: See if the artifact was taken by the roguish raptors. Kill any two "raptor" mobs (the named raptor counts for this too -- all are located west of the river in the center of the island). a young raptor has been slain by _____! a young raptor's corpse jerks violently as the life falls from its eyes. It appears the raptors are not in possession of the relic you seek. Perhaps the ankylosauruses have it! Check inside a few ankylosauruses 0/2 (Thuliasaur Island) Task Window Says: Perhaps the lumbering ankylosauruses are to blame for the theft. Kill any two "ankylosaurus" mobs. These are located in the chunk of land sandwiched on all sides by the central river. an ankylosaurus has been slain by _____! an ankylosaurus's corpse screeches in agony before falling silent. No sign of the relic in any of the ankylosauruses so far. Perhaps the tyrannosauruses have it! Open up a tyrannosaurus 0/1 (Thuliasaur Island) Kill any "tyrannosaurus" mob (the named tyrannosaurus counts for this too). These are located in the far western part of the zone. a tyrannosaurus hatchling has been slain by _____! a tyrannosaurus hatchling's corpse shakes the forest with the cries of its death! You dig through the tyrannosaurus carcass and retrieve a damaged but distinctively Kromtus looking idol. Return the Chewed Kromtus Idol to Historian Fjilnauk 0/1 (Thuliasaur Island) Historian Fjilnauk carefully accepts the artifact, cupping it in both hands as he brings it closer to his face to inspect the damage that has been done to it. He sheds a single tear but his voice remains strong, 'Once again I am indebted to you, small one. When our tribe renounced violence and literature we knew it wouldn't be easy. My anger toward the wild beasts is tempered by the understanding that they do not act out of malice but simply instinct.' He pauses, 'But still... It does not sadden me to see you strike a blow upon them for their transgressions.' He smiles, 'I have a final task to ask of you, if you are willing.' You're a bit amused by Fjilnauk's willingness to have others draw blood given his purported pacifism, but work is work and it seems there is one last job he might have for you. Rewards: Faction with The Kromtus (+35) --AND-- Tiny Parrot's Cervical Vertebrae --OR-- 50 platinum This task is repeatable with a 6-hour lockout timer from the time of request. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Unless this was a "Glitch"....
If this is your first time completing this task, you need to select the Parrot "Piece" needed. As stated above in BIG letters ---OR--- does not necessarily mean you will get all rewards associated with this task, you will get the platinum first, parrot piece the second time you are completing the task because you have now "highlighted" the "Tiny Parrot Cervical Vertebrae".
If this is your first time completing this task, you need to select the Parrot "Piece" needed. As stated above in BIG letters ---OR--- does not necessarily mean you will get all rewards associated with this task, you will get the platinum first, parrot piece the second time you are completing the task because you have now "highlighted" the "Tiny Parrot Cervical Vertebrae".
