About Heroic Adventures:

- They use the task system (steps are shown in task window, but steps are only revealed as you get to them).
- Scale in difficulty, loot quality, and mob levels (based on your group's highest level player - as low as 85).
- Tuned for 2-3 players and their mercenaries.
- Nameds can spawn as you progress through the task (you usually have to complete a few steps before this can happen).
- Collection items can drop from mobs in the instances, and ground spawns appear midway through tasks.
- Expected time of completion will vary by your group's makeup (anywhere from 30-90+ minutes).
- There is some variations/randomization in the task steps you'll be assigned as you progress through the task.

This is a heroic adventure (1-6 players) that begins with Petran Searake (click for map image) in Tempest Temple (located at the dock on the eastern coast).

Pre-Requisites for Requesting:
- None



TASK SUMMARY

- Say "fish" to request the task and "ready" to zone in.

Step #1:
Kill the crawlers and walkers that infest the coral reef 0/18
--- Kill update.
Stop the sea goblins 0/22
--- Kill update.
Banish the restless undead 0/20
--- Kill update.

Step #2:
Silence the hideous sea nagas 0/9
--- Kill update.
Still the restless elementals 0/10
--- Kill update.
Disrupt the chaotic dervishes 0/9
--- Kill update in the path in the middle of the island.

Step #3:
Kill a few coral or ocean serpents 0/6
--- Kill update.
Take out the sirens or their seduced pirates 0/6
--- Kill update.
Crush a few reef crabs 0/6
--- Kill update.
Knock some sense into the Wardens and their Treants 0/5
--- Kill update on the floating island. (Warning: These mobs are a lot tougher than general zone population.)
Kill 5 Kedge 0/5

- At this point in the task, collectibles spawn in the zone (ground spawns) and a named (or its PH) has a chance to spawn.

Speak to Petran Searake 0/1

NAMED MOBS

"Serisaria" (or its PH, "a lost siren") spawns after the third step is completed. This mob appears near the entrance to the Caverns of Endless Song (far northern part of the zone in the coral reef).

TRIGGERING THE TASK

You say, 'Hail, Petran Searake'

Petran Searake sighs, 'Seems your luck is as bad as mine, stranger. You without direction and me without a [catch].'

You say, 'No catch?'

Petran Searake chuckles, 'The weather being what it is, I can't rightly expect there to be an abundance catch, but I haven't caught a [fish] in days now. I suspect what little sea life remains out there is being caught up by the miserable beasts on the isle. Interested in reducing my competition? I may not have fish but I should be able to scrounge up some suiting reward for you.'

You say, 'I'll get you some fish'

Petran Searake says 'Excellent, just tell me when you're [ready] to go.'

You have been assigned the task 'Storm of Sorts'.

Petran Searake has had miserable luck catching any fish lately. He suspects his luck will improve if you reduce his competition around the island.

STEP #1

Kill the crawlers and walkers that infest the coral reef 0/18 (Tempest Temple)

Task Window Says: The crawlers and walkers that infest the reef to the north are far more efficient fisherman than Petran. Take a few of them out so that the fish can survive their trip to the east side of the island.

If You Get This Step: Kill update.

Stop the sea goblins 0/22 (Tempest Temple)

Task Window Says: The sea goblins to the west are uniquely adept at fishing and Petran suspects that they are his primary competition. Go reduce their population to improve his chance of finding dinner.

it's easiest to pull them to the beach. If you try from the ocean side you can often get huge numbers of adds.
They summon!
But if you keep pulling back, they will eventually follow.

Banish the restless undead 0/20 (Tempest Temple)

Task Window Says: Petran has a hard time concentrating on his fishing duties with the moaning and groaning of the banshees and zombies that haunt the shipwreck just north of his perch. Reduce their numbers so he can focus on his work.

If You Get This Step: Kill update.

STEP #2
========================================================================

Silence the hideous sea nagas 0/9 (Tempest Temple)

Task Window Says: The hideous nagas that intermingle with the sea goblins on the west end of the island are proving to be a problem. Petran is unsure whether the goblins are in service to these sea hags or if the snakelike women are subservient to the smarmy ocean callers. Either way, reducing their numbers can only be advantageous to improving Petran's luck in getting a bite.

If You Get This Step: Kill update.

Still the restless elementals 0/10 (Tempest Temple)

Task Window Says: The unyielding storm that engulfs this island has empowered the previously dormant elementals. These creatures focus the powers of lava and air and make the area inhospitable to sea life. Take out either the air elementals that feed the wild winds or the lava elementals that boil the stilled ponds.

If you follow the coast around to the southwest from where you get the quest you'll find enough lava spirits to do this step. They are an easy pull once you move in close enough to avoid the other mobs.

If You Get This Step: Kill update - "a lava spirit" updates this, as does "an air spirit".

Disrupt the chaotic dervishes 0/9 (Tempest Temple)

Task Window Says: ?

If You Get This Step: Kill update - the dervishes in the pathway through the mountain.

Kill a few coral or ocean serpents 0/6 (Tempest Temple)

Task Window Says: ?

If You Get This Step: Kill update.

Take out the sirens or their seduced pirates 0/6 (Tempest Temple)

Task Window Says: On the north end of the island is a small band of sirens and the weak-willed pirates that have fallen prey to their alluring song. Clearly these invaders sustain themselves on something and Petran suspects that their diet consists primarily of fish. Turn these creatures into churn to improve Petran's odds of finally catching his own dinner.

If you go to the far north at the coral barrier, you can pull the seduced pirates to there.

If You Get This Step: Kill update - any "a seduced _____" mob counts towards this step.

Crush a few reef crabs 0/6 (Tempest Temple)

Task Window Says: On the south end of the island is a group of reef crabs that seem suspiciously well fed. Petrans wonders if reducing their population would increase the population of catchable fish.

Knock some sense into the Wardens and their Treants 0/5 (Tempest Temple)

Task Window Says: ?

If You Get This Step: Kill update on the floating island. Warning: These mobs are a lot tougher than the general zone population. They tend to hit for the mid-20,000s range.

Kill 5 Kedge 0/5 (Tempest Temple)

Task Window Says: As far as Petran can tell, the unceasing storm that surrounds this island is the work of the kedge arcanists that have taken refuge near the center of the island. Take a few of them out in hopes that it improves the weather and by extension the willingness for schools of delicious fish to swim near the island.

If You Get This Step: Kill update in the path through the mountain.

Speak to Petran Searake 0/1 (Tempest Temple)

Task Window Says: Return to Petran Searake and let him know that you have done everything he has requested of you.

If You Get This Step: Hail Petran at the zone-in to complete.

You say, 'Hail, Petran Searake'

Petran Searake smiles contentedly, 'Fine work, _____. I'm due for a fine haul now. You're welcome to [leave] whenever you please.'

Petran Searake has high hopes that fish will start biting soon!

It's hard to find a good place to pull to at the island. But if you go to the far north at the coral barrier, you can pull to there.

I killed the initial Crawlers and Walkers, then the Elementals. It then said to kill 5 Kedge. While I was killing the Kedge, the step disappeared. I killed 6 Kedge, but it never said I completed. There are no steps listed.
I zoned out, and it said to kill Kedge 0/5. I zoned back in, and the steps again disappeared.

Going to kill 5 more Kedge and see what happens, but it's clearly bugged.

Edit: My fault. To get to the Kedges, I ported my group to Tempest. That made us leave the instance. I spoke to Petran. He sent us back in, and the steps re-appeared. I killed the 5 Kedges and we completed the task.

This HA has some unknown prerequisites.

I have received this daily quest twice, both times after running through the dialogue,I received the message from Petran Searake: "Yoour gorup does not meet the requirements for any available shared tasks. I am currently with two lvl 95 and one lvl 94 characters.

This HA is garbage, experience-wise. It was one of the dailies today(4/2/20) and with lesson running at end, my 102 Shaman didn't even get 2% total.

Only 2% xp with daily task bonus at lvl 96. I did get about 6% xp for killing during the adventure, which is much better than most, but still not worth the time.

Completed mission in about an hour with 99 druid/mage/bard combo.

Very disappointing XP reward though compared to the older HA's from CoF and fairly similar in terms of difficulty/time. With lesson running and the bonus XP from this being one of the daily missions I got between 1-2% level XP, compared to in excess of 35% from the newer HA's. Considering the daily kill 5 mobs in the HoT zone rewards about 8% level in 10 minutes its really not worth the effort.

This mission was rough for me. 4 boxed this. Monk 103, Druid 102, Shaman 101, and Enchanter 101 along with 2 apprentice tier 5 healer mercs. I was able to easily single pull everything except towards the end when i got a double pull. Both were yellow cons but i was able to kill them without getting killed. This being my first time it took me 2 hours. Monk tanked everything. I didn't have to worry about heals with the 2 healer mercs but the monk did die once early on. Trying to do this with old non prestige loot since im playing on silver accounts. With out buffs my monk only sits at 71068 Hp and Ac at 1699/1766.

Helped using druid's Rampant Growth and Enchanters Brimstone Eminence after the monk death. I am sure it would have gone much smoother if i had gold membership and could use the augments and prestige gear that i wanted to use along with a j5 merc. In the end the named mob did not spawn and i didn't bother trying to get any kind of collectibles. Got a whole 20 Pieces of Eight for each character. I doubt ill be doing this mission 6 more times just to get one piece of gear and cross my fingers that the named will have spawned and that i could actually kill it. If im not mistaken the exp gain was less than 5% total.

no respawn
All collectibles on top - Treants see invis : I had to kill 2 of them to collect the last one.
3 collectibles also dropped from mobs (2 were the same than the 4 that spawn at the end).
Done during a x2 xp weekend : Crap xp at the end (3AA) but mobs gave about 0.5AA per kill.
Killed a lot of mobs inside and got about 50AA at all. So i would say about 25AA with normal xp.

No respawns as with most HA's. A lot of mobs are immune to mez, however, which is slightly annoying. The collectibles all spawn on the path going up to the treant area. Got 4, including dupe of Thistlecoat Spike, which is never for sale in the Bazaar on my server. Another annoying this is that the treants here see thru invis and are agro, even on a druid!

Now I tried hailing them and asking if they were looking for a date, but they didn't want to talk, just fight... but the kills updated the task, so I guess there is a silver lining. It isn't like I wanted to take them out anyway, but what is an adventurer to do when it is a requirement of the quest? /shrug

After step 3/ at Step 4 (before hailing to complete) I got the message "a formidable foe approaches in the distance....etc". Serisaria spawned near where the Caverns entrance would normally be. Nearby npc's will assist her if within aggro range. Yellow to me at 105. This HA can be molo'd, but not Sersaria by any chance...top hit on me was 20234 (105/ 16k AA ranger at 10.4kac/ 128k+ hps). I was rewarded 21 "Pieces of 8" (not Fists of 8). Happy Hunting and good luck!

I had no trouble with any other mobs in this zone, but was one rounded 3 times by the treants in this HA. Lvl 104 Paladin with mostly t1 CoTF raid gear on.

an air spirit WILL update this step and are a lot easer to pull in the south end of map.

Did this mission tonight, went looking for the collectibles at the end. Went up to the Treant Guardian area and BAM, SI and KoS. Nice train back down the path and off the island.
