You have been assigned the task 'Hotbars'. A window will then pop up. Read and follow instructions. Hotbars & Hotkeys Hotbars are the primary tools for playing Everquest. You use the Hotkeys assigned to activate different types of abilities, alternate advancement abilities, and custom and pre-defined actions. Click 'OK' to learn managing your Hotbars. Managing Hotbars There are multiple ways to adjust and manage your Hotbars: Cycling You switch which particular page of the hotbar you are on by using the up and down arrows and the right-side of the bar. New Hotbars You can add new Hotbars by using your EQ Menu button, selecting Actions, and then choosing options Hotkeys 1-10 Click 'OK' to learn managing your Hotbars. Assigning Hotkeys Hotkeys are abilities, actions, and macros that can be activated with a simple click. There are multiple ways to customize your Hotbar using these buttons: Drag & Drop You can move and set Hotkeys by holding down the left mouse button for a moment, and then dragging the icon to the Hotbar. This is especially useful for dragging from your Action, Alternate Advancement, and Spell Gem menus. Right-Click You can right-click an empty Hotbar. slot and use Assigning Social to assign custom made actions. More about those will be presented in the next section. Click 'OK' to learn about custom functions for your Hotbars. Custom Hotkeys Dragging existing abilities and assigning default actions is only the first step. You can also create your own Hotkeys! You can use your Action menu to access the Socials Page. Click 'OK' to learn about personalizing your Hotbars. Personalizing the Hotbar You can personalize your Hotkeys by using the extended right-click menu. Hold down the right mouse button over an existing Hotkey to see the options. Activate This uses the key as if you had left-clicked on it. Clear This removes the key. Assign Icon Select an icon you want from the entire library of icons. Clear Icon This removes the custom icon. Assign Label This changes the text on the key. Assign Social This lets you put a custom ability created on the Socials Page into the Hotbar directly. Change Size This lets you resize and scale the entire Hotbar. Unmemorize This lets you forget a memorized spell. Only works on spell gem Hotkeys. Click 'OK' to cpmplete the tutorial on Hotbars.
