You say, 'Hail, Kargek Redblade' Kargek Redblade looks up from his forge and says, 'Hello there, can I help you?' Your eyes are drawn to an extremely large red sword scabbard strapped to his back with no sword in it. Kargek speaks again, 'I said, can I help you or do you need help from Wenden?' You say, 'Tell me about that scabbard.' Kargek Redblade turns to look at you and says, 'It is a family heirloom. I might tell you the story behind it if you do me a little favor.' You say, 'What favor?' Kargek Redblade says 'An associate of mine is wandering somewhere in the Feerrott. His name is Oknoggin Stonesmacker. Take the book over to his brother in East Karana - Tenal Redblade, who is at the very end of the canyon next to the ramp to Highpass. You say, 'Hail, Tenal Redblade' Tenal Redblade says 'What brings you to my home, ______? Do you seek knowledge of Rallos Zek and the great wars to come?' Hand him the book. Tenal Redblade says 'So, you know my brother Kargek. He is weak and does not believe the legend that our family was chosen by Rallos Zek to bear the great scabbard. Yet he still holds it. Very well, I shall give you the first test since my 'dear' brother seems to have forgotten it. Travel to the fortress where the children of Rallos were first cursed by the Rathe and bring me the heart of one of the goblins who have made it their new home. Do not return without the heart of your foe and this war totem.' You gain experience!! You receive a Frozen War Totem. Go back to East Karana and hand Tenal the Totem of the Freezing War and a Heart of Frost. Tenal Redblade says 'Very good, you have wreaked havoc on your foes in the ancient land of the giants. Rallos Zek must have guided your blade.' Tenal's voice is suddenly silenced and you feel as if your body is frozen. From Tenal's lips issues a voice that is not his own, 'Bring this mortal the scales of the children of Veeshan. The red and green as well as my war totem. I will guide your blade.' Your movement returns as Tenal falls to the ground, gasping for breath.' You gain experience!! He'll give you a Totem of Fiery War. Now get yourself a Green and Red Dragonscale (from Severilous in Emerald Jungle, and Nagafen in Naggy's Lair respectively). Go back to Tenal Redblade and give him the Totem of Fiery War, the Green Dragon Scale and the Red Dragon Scale. Tenal Redblade looks at you oddly as you hand him the scales. 'What are..? You have done well, mortal, and you will be rewarded if you are truly brave. Travel to the Plane of Hatred and slay the ancient bard who lives there. Do not return without his hand and this mark or you will never be a true warlord.' Tenal drops to the ground as the last words leave his lips. You gain experience!! You receive The Mark of the Sword. You'll now need to go to the Plane of Hate and kill the Hand of the Maestro (note: Hand is now pullable without having to kill Maestro of Rancor). You need to loot the hand, which is a rare drop. Bring that back and give it to Tenal along with the mark. Tenal Redblade looks horrified as you give him the hand of the Maestro of Rancor and show him the mark of the sword. The godlike voice returns, 'You have done well to acquire this. One final task must be completed before you hold the red scabbard in your mortal hands.' Tenal reaches out and hands you a note. 'Take this note and a wingblade of the spiriocs to Kargek. When he receives them, I will speak to you one last time.' You receive Tenal`s note to Kargek. You now need a Spiroc Wingblade from the Spiroc Lord in the Plane of Sky. Take the Wingblade and the note to Kargek where he gives you the Red Scabbard and instructions on how to combine the Ancient Blade, Ancient Sword Blade, Finely Crafted Dragon Head Hilt, and Jeweled Dragon Head Hilt. Kargek Redblade says 'What is this? A note from my brother? Thank you for the gift as well.' Kargek reads the note and hands you the huge sword hilt. Your mind is filled with the sound of battle and a voice. 'Place the ancient sword blade, ancient blade, finely crafted dragon head hilt and the jeweled dragon head hilt into the scabbard to receive your rewards. If you think you are worthy, place your rewards into the scabbard and see what havoc you can unleash on the world. Kargek addresses you as you turn to leave. 'One more thing. Gartrog over there has told me of a great discovery. Seems there are all sorts of stones being found in the recently discovered lost dungeons scattered around Antonica. The Wayfarer's Brotherhood has found a way to make items even more powerful by using the stones with existing items.' You gain experience!! Ancient Sword Blade Talk to Denken Strongpick on Aviak Island in the Ocean of Tears. You say, 'Hail, Denken Strongpick' Denken Strongpick says 'Hello, ______. I am Denken Strongpick. I wish I could get off this rock, silly clan honor. My boss broke our rebreathers and we can not go back to the mainland before we gather some goblin relics.' You say, 'What goblin relics?' Denken Strongpick says 'There are supposedly goblin ruins around here somewhere. Fendlemend thinks we will find paydirt underwater. We did find one thing.' You say, 'What did you find?' Denken Strongpick says 'We found a very fine sword blade.' Denken pulls open his pack and shows you a razor sharp sword covered with runes. 'I can't figure out what type of metal it is and I sure can't figure out what technique was used to forge it. Perhaps you would like to take it off my hands and [buy] it?' You say, 'I will buy it.' Denken Strongpick says 'Out here, money is fairly useless to me. You see, I can't leave Fendlemend out here alone. I signed on with a very detailed contract. I could sure [use] a few things from the mainland though.' You say, 'What could you use?' Denken Strongpick says 'I would be willing to part with this very fine blade for; a keg of Vox tail ale, a block of permafrost to keep it cool and two new rebreathers to get this operation back underway.' a) A Keg of Vox Tail ale - bought from alot of vendors around the world. A good place to buy one is the sandfishers in North Ro or the Freeport Port Authority. b) A Block Of Permafrost - Dropped by Ice Giants. (while you're here, kill some goblin wizards until you find a frozen goblin heart -- you'll need it later). c) Two Rebreathers - Tinkered by Gnomes. Expect to drop as much as 4k for getting two rebreathers. Turn the Rebreathers, Keg of Vox Tail Ale, and the Block of Permafrost in to Denken: Denken Strongpick says 'Excellent! Here is your sword. I feel like I'm at home already!' You gain experience!! You get the Ancient Sword Blade. Ancient Blade The Ancient Blade is dropped by the Queen of Chardok. Bring along a large group of friends. Finely Crafted Dragon Head Hilt Head to the chessboard in Timorous Deep. At the base of the King piece you'll find a Severely Damaged Dragon Head Hilt. Head back to Wenden. You say, 'Hail, Wenden Blackhammer' Wenden Blackhammer says 'What do you need? Be specific, I'm busy right now!' You say, 'I have a Severely Damaged Dragon Head Hilt.' Wenden Blackhammer says 'Where in the world did you drag that up?!' Denken peers closely at the severely damaged dragon head hilt. 'This metal is the same material that some mages use to make powerful golems and this other metal looks like rejesiam ore. If you can find some of those materials, I can fix this hilt up easily.' You say, 'What kind of golems?' Wenden Blackhammer says 'That metal is used as the 'soul' of powerful magical constructions like golems. I do not know any place in this world where you could find a golem with a living center as powerful as this once was.' You say, 'What is rejesiam ore?' Wenden Blackhammer says 'Rejesiam ore is from the lands of Kunark. The mountain giants in the frontier mountains control the only known mine of this great ore. They have built a vast fortress around the mine to protect it. The giants don't particularly like to trade with us smaller folks, but there is one old miner named Mentrax Mountainbone who has traded with me in the past. Go find him and tell him Wenden sent you.' You'll also need a Ball of Everliving Golem. This drops from the named golems in the Plane of Fear: Fright, Dread and Terror. Since a march 2015 patch, you may also get it from a harbinger of Fear if the golems are not up. Now go to the Dreadlands, to the giant fort just west of Karnor's Castle. You need to kill the Mountain Giant Patriarch and loot a Giant Sized Monocle. Take the Monocle to Frontier Mountains. Get to the giant fort and get inside. When you get to the very end of the Mine you will see the giant named Mentrax Mountainbone. You say, 'Hail, Mentrax Mountainbone' Mentrax Mountainbone says 'What be it you want! Go away before I eat you for dinner!' You say, 'Wenden sent me.' Mentrax Mountainbone says 'Oh, old Wenden? I guess you be wanting some ore. Well, you can't have none! Not unless you get me a new monocle. No. No. No. Don't even try to talk, you either bring me a new monocle that will fit or no ore for you!' Hand him the Monocle. Mentrax Mountainbone says 'Eh, you actually found one! Thank you, ______. Here is a block of ore for you. Just don't let the other giants know.' You gain experience!! You receive Rejesiam Ore. Now run back to East Freeport with the Rejesiam Ore, Ball of Everliving Golem and Damaged Dragon Head Hilt. Give these to Wenden. Wenden Blackhammer begins to work and hammer away at the hilt pounding the new material into it. You can see the metal shifting and moving in ways you have never seen metal move before. Wenden wipes his brow as he hands you a fantastic looking hilt. You receive a Finely Crafted Dragon Head Hilt. Jeweled Dragon Head Hilt Head to Lake Rathe and pick up an Unjeweled Dragon Head Hilt. It can be found on the lake floor at +2513, +920, underneath the aviak tower. Then head back to Wenden. You say, 'Hail, Wenden Blackhammer' Wenden Blackhammer says 'What do you need? Be specific, I'm busy right now!' You say, 'I have an Unjeweled Dragon Head Hilt.' Wenden Blackhammer says 'That just looks like it's missing some gems. I'm not quite sure what type of gems either but I can tell you two things about them just by the settings. They were all different, and they all were very, very expensive. If I try to put the wrong kind of gems in these slots, it may be ruined forever. I'll do whatever you want, though, just bring me the three gems you want me to try and put in the hilt.' You'll need to get a Diamond, Black Sapphire, and Jacinth. They drop in various zones (Sebilis, Planes) and can almost always be found for sale in The Bazaar. Take the Unjeweled Dragon Head Hilt, Diamond, Jacinth, and Black Sapphire to Wenden: Wenden Blackhammer begins to fiddle with the hilt, gently pressing the gems into place. It seems to take forever as you watch in silence. Wenden slowly places the last gem in place and gently bends the settings to hold the gems before he hands it back to you. 'That's a very impressive looking hilt there. The material it is made out of seems strangely familiar,' Wenden says as he turns back to his forge and his other work. You receive a Jeweled Dragon Head Hilt. Assembling the Sword As originally instructed, place the Ancient Sword Blade, Ancient Blade, Finely Crafted Dragon Head Hilt and the Jeweled Dragon Head Hilt into the Red Scabbard to receive your rewards. Combining the Jagged Blade of War in the Red Scabbard splits it into the Blade of Strategy and the Blade of Tactics. Combine the two blades in the Red Scabbard to get the two-handed version again. | |

I have all the easy parts completed for epic... however getting to PoF and killing Naggy is proving somewhat difficult due to the inexperience of my guild...is there any way to find out what guilds are going and would i be able to get on roll for drops?...thanks for info

Unfortunately bud, if your guild is having issues killing Naggy and going to Fear, its going to take you a while before you have the forces necessary to gain the pieces in Sky, Chardok, and dropping Sev. As far as rolls on the pieces you need that will be a very very rare circumstance. Usually if guilds are going to these places and are after these mobs they are going for the single purpose of getting the pieces for their warriors and other classes. On top of that some of these mobs (Severilious who is the big bottleneck for my guild atm) are highly contested and many guilds are looking for them all the time. Basically level up some more, let your guild gain experience. I wouldn't worry about this until your guild can do Sky, or you get into another guild capable of those trips.

I noticed someone mention that they are too high for Naggy Raid.. I thought Naggy was high lvl? How can you ever be too high to kill something?

If you are over 52nd level, the two Old World Dragons (Voxx and Naggy) will Banish you if you attack them. The result is finding yourself all alone in Lavastorm, while the rest of your guild kills Naggy.

Its not worth trying man.. you could lose all of your work for the scabbard if it isn't MQable...

It is most likely multi-questable. Since you need to hand the spiroc wingblade along with Tenal's note to Kargek at the same time, I'm very sure it would be MQable. Just have the other guy hand in the blade, you hand in the note... and voila! You should have the scabbard. Combine and done. That is all.

im lvl 48 war and ive spoken to wendel but i cant make him talk about the qwest i have the hilt the diamond the saphire and the jacinth can i just give him the items or must i be lvl 50

I did this part of the quest at level 33. It Can be done unless it has been RECENTLY patched out.

This is what i have done so far:
jeweled dragon head hilt
totem of fiery war
have severely damaged dragon head hilt/rejesium ore(need golem ball from PoF to finish finely crafted dragon head hilt)
hand of the maestro.
Now i need the red/green scales, spiroc wing blade, and the ancient blades from dorf in TD and chardok queen.
I assume the next step possible for me is the ancient blade from dorf in TD.
Question: do the ice giants in everfrost)or permafrost whichever has halas connected to it)that spawn near the vox dungeon ent drop the block of ice? If not, and I need to go to the vox dungeon, how far in do i need to go before running into the ice giants?
(btw the freeport mini questing is very doable by any evil race, just get a sow and invis......train your way out ;)
Also killed talendor in skyfire last night, i died when he was at half life but guild prevailed. He dropped the red scale but i lost the roll of course /bonk

When I look at this quest, it's easily divided into 3 sections:
1) The 2 Hilts
2) The 2 Blades
3) The Scabbard
So I've got 2 rather stupid questions here:
1) How do you combine the hilt to the blade to get the sword?
2) Since the 2 hilts are relatively easy, and 1 of the blades is relatively easy - is there a halfway point in the quest where you can wield a glowing red or blue sword?
Since the Chardok upgrade, it'll be near impossible for me to see that 2nd blade - even with the new Luclin spells and abilities.
The dragons and everything else will happen in time... it's Chardok and PoS that I fear will keep me from my own lightsabres.

1) You combine the sword part in the scabbard after you receive it

2) No you cannot halfway complete the quest. You have to have the scabbard to combine everything and the reward is actually the 2 Hand sword, which can be split into the one handed swords.

Sure, if you run up to the top of the platform where the 3 aviaks spawn, do a swan dive from the top and swim straight down until you reach the bottom. You should see a little bag down there. Grab it and, voila, unjeweled dragon hilt. I picked it up at lvl 15.

It would be past impossible... besides no sane person picking warrior epic of all things...... IT CAN"T BE DONE! Almost all of the NPCs will not talk to you or do anything if you try to do the quest! They will simply eat your items. No doubt about it.
shamans epic can be done at lv 1 (who would want to do it for a lv 1 is beyond me) or so ive heard tho it sounds far fetched. same with sk's...

Shaman epic CANNOT be done before lvl 50. If it wasnt for the lvl 50 coding on it, then yes the shaman epic could be done at lvl 1, because the piece from POF can be MQ'd. I wont get into how, but it can.

You know, before you post something, you should actually know it as fact first, because you are wrong. The shaman epic CAN be done before level 50. A good friend of mine on Brell, Klisa got his epic at level 47.

that's open to debate. it depends on your race/level, group/raid makeup, your role in the group/raid, how good everyone you're with is and what your favourite colour is....
I'm down to five items left for this. The Ancient Blade from the Queen of Chardok, The Spiroc Wingblade from the Spiroc Lord in PoA, The Ball of Ever-living Golem from the Demi's in PoH, and the Red and Green Dragon Scales. The Ball of Ever-living Golem shouldn't be a problem, our guild raids PoF a lot. The Queen will be tuf, but she is doable by my guild with help from our friends and allies. The Spiroc Lord will be a pain because PoA is such a f'd up zone, in any case, I have a back, I might have someone to MQ this for me. That leaves me with the two dragon scales. The problem I have is Severilous is dropped like 10 seconds after he spawns and I'm too high for Naggy raids. That leaves me with the Scale keeper in the Hole for the red scale and that mob in VP for the green (heh, like that'll happen) I'm pretty sure I can get the red scale, but the green isn't looking so good. Anyone know if the green scale is tradable? If so, anyone got a going price on Xegony server? How about on the other servers? Thanks for any help or info you can give =)

Hi, I am another 60 warrior on Quellious and I'm not attempting this quest.
Spiroc Blade - No one goes to PoA unless their life depend on it. Why should anyone?
Dragon Scales - Cost 80k on my server atleast. I can't touch Naggy and Talendor is NOT a poosae like Severilous.
Queen of Chardok - Will 0wn j00 now cause the Chardok zone revamp added a lot of mobs in the area on annoyingly short spawn timers.
Anyway when I read this quest it looked easy at first. I knew Chardok Queen is involved, I felt reminded when I read about the required scales, but when I saw Spiroc Lord and PoA part I decided firmly not to waste my time on this and just forget about it. Simply not worth it, unless you are a die hard Star Wars fan and MUST have those light sabers!!

hello this a lvl 13 warrior ogre, and i am moving up fast i have played and am not a newbie. I was wondering what is the (epic) armor for the warrior?
If your talking about the armor similar to Lambent Armor, Armor of Ro, etc., it is Crafted Armor. If you are talking about the ¿Velious? armor, it is Warlord's Armor, if I am not mistaken.

There are actually 3 "grades" of Velious warrior armor that I know of-Champion, Myrmidon, and Warlord. Myrm is better than Champ, Warlord is better than Myrm. The quests are laid out nicely on EQLizer.com. They require components from ToV, Kael, and Skyshrine (I think). Really tough, but definitely worth it.

I have been searching for several hours to find a reference to the Unjeweled Dragon Head Hilt that I recently acquired. My lvl 17 Warrior was waiting for a group member to get a res and I hailed an ogre standing just inside the zone from the Rathe Mountains to Lake Rathe. I believe his name is Derg. He mentioned that he had just taken his bath and had dove from the top of the Aviak 3-spawn tower and noticed something red glittering at the bottom but couldn't reach it. I got curious, so when we got there, I jumped in and discovered the hilt at the bottom. Every zone I was in thereafter, I asked if anyone knew what it was for, and I got all kinds of responses, including someone who mentioned that they thought it was for the warrior epic, but weren't sure. I'm just glad to finally find out what it is for. I'll make sure to hold onto it.

I have been looking for this guy forever, at the top of the mountain the bottom, even had someone try to track him. He has disappeared from the eq planet =*( poor Tenal Redblade and poor warriors who will never be able to finish their epic.

yea i agree hes hard to find, but if u know where to look, hes not.
all u do is head tot he ramp that goes to HH, do down the path thats to the left of the ramp, keep going, and going, and going! an after a lil while u find a human warrior..guess what..u keep going! finaly u find the guy at a dead end. this is where u hope u gota druid or wiz so u can just port out.

I handed the 4 items to Kargak Redblade and got nothing. He conned indifferent to me. Does anyone know what faction this guy is on. I have the 4 items again but I won't hand them in till I can improve my faction. Thanks

You don't turn the four items to him. You have to complete the scabbard quest and combine the items in the scabbard.

Well as far as the warrior epic, I have not started it yet. Howerver, to clarify...it IS possible to get particular items and complete certain parts of epic quests prior to level 50. i.e. I helped a level 26 shaman start his epic...he now has the Shield of Falsehood as well as the Black Fur Boots. To be honest, I thought it was a lost cause, but he wanted to try so I said I would help...BAM it worked.
So I guess the only limitation would be the planes, since it is possible, however unlikely that lower levels would be able to rally enough people to kill Sev and the other dragons, then let the low level just hang out for the scales.

Is it me or don't you wish they had kept the names Heart and Soul rather than the mechanical feeling Blade of Tactics, Blade of Strategy, Jagged Blade of War. Or if they named them something more dynamic like Rage and Fury.

You get a scabbard with the sword when you do the quest. Put the 2 1hs or the 2hs in the scabbard and it either splits the 2hs into the Blades of Tactics and Strategy, or put the two 1hs in the scabbard and it makes the Jagged Blade of War.
So you can swap em back and forth, back and forth whenever you want?
