NOTE: A patch on March 25, 2015, added a work-around to obtain items from Cazic Thule, Dread, Fright, and Terror:

- In the Plane of Fear, a harbinger of Fear can help adventurers get their epic 1.0 pieces that would normally drop from Cazic-Thule or the golems. These pieces cannot be multi-quested or traded. In addition, a harbinger of Fear can advance the Whistling Fists quest in the same way as Cazic-Thule.

Furthermore, a patch on April 22, 2015, added a work-around to obtain bottleneck items from Phinigel Autropos (Kedge Keep), Gorenaire (Dreadlands), and Talendor (Skyfire Mountains).

- In Kedge Keep, a harbinger of the seas can help adventurers get their epic 1.0 pieces that would normally drop from Phinigel Autropos.
- In Dreadlands, a harbinger of frost can help adventurers get their epic 1.0 pieces that would normally drop from Gorenaire.
- In Skyfire Mountains, a harbinger of flame can help adventurers get their epic 1.0 pieces that would normally drop from Talendor.

Full Walkthrough

The Warrior Epic quest begins with both Kargek Redblade and Wenden Blackhammer in East Freeport (click for map image). They can be found under a gazebo at -1300, -380 (just inside the North Ro gate).

Red Scabbard

Find Kargek Redblade in East Freeport.

You say, 'Hail, Kargek Redblade'

Kargek Redblade looks up from his forge and says, 'Hello there, can I help you?' Your eyes are drawn to an extremely large red sword scabbard strapped to his back with no sword in it. Kargek speaks again, 'I said, can I help you or do you need help from Wenden?'

You say, 'Tell me about that scabbard.'

Kargek Redblade turns to look at you and says, 'It is a family heirloom. I might tell you the story behind it if you do me a little favor.'

You say, 'What favor?'

Kargek Redblade says 'An associate of mine is wandering somewhere in the Feerrott. His name is Oknoggin Stonesmacker. If you will deliver this note to him, I would appreciate it.'

You receive a Wax Sealed Note. Take this to Oknoggin Stonesmaker in the Feerrott at 800, 1140 (by the main bridge across the river). Upon hand-in:

Oknoggin Stonesmaker snatches the note from your hand and rips it open with your large hands. 'You take dis to Kargek. He want!' Oknoggin says, as he throws a tiny lute at you.

You receive a Tiny Lute. Run back to East Freeport and give the Tiny Lute to Kargek Redblade to receive a book called Redblade's Legacy.

Kargek Redblade says 'Thank you for delivering the note to my associate. Take this book - it will tell you a little of the history of the old scabbard. If you would like to own the scabbard, seek out my younger brother Tenal and give him the book.'

You gain experience!!

Take the book over to his brother in East Karana - Tenal Redblade, who is at the very end of the canyon next to the ramp to Highpass.

You say, 'Hail, Tenal Redblade'

Tenal Redblade says 'What brings you to my home, ______? Do you seek knowledge of Rallos Zek and the great wars to come?'

Hand him the book.

Tenal Redblade says 'So, you know my brother Kargek. He is weak and does not believe the legend that our family was chosen by Rallos Zek to bear the great scabbard. Yet he still holds it. Very well, I shall give you the first test since my 'dear' brother seems to have forgotten it. Travel to the fortress where the children of Rallos were first cursed by the Rathe and bring me the heart of one of the goblins who have made it their new home. Do not return without the heart of your foe and this war totem.'

You gain experience!!

You receive a Frozen War Totem.

Go back to East Karana and hand Tenal the Totem of the Freezing War and a Heart of Frost.

Tenal Redblade says 'Very good, you have wreaked havoc on your foes in the ancient land of the giants. Rallos Zek must have guided your blade.' Tenal's voice is suddenly silenced and you feel as if your body is frozen. From Tenal's lips issues a voice that is not his own, 'Bring this mortal the scales of the children of Veeshan. The red and green as well as my war totem. I will guide your blade.' Your movement returns as Tenal falls to the ground, gasping for breath.'
You gain experience!!

He'll give you a Totem of Fiery War.

Now get yourself a Green and Red Dragonscale (from Severilous in Emerald Jungle, and Nagafen in Naggy's Lair respectively).

Go back to Tenal Redblade and give him the Totem of Fiery War, the Green Dragon Scale and the Red Dragon Scale.

Tenal Redblade looks at you oddly as you hand him the scales. 'What are..? You have done well, mortal, and you will be rewarded if you are truly brave. Travel to the Plane of Hatred and slay the ancient bard who lives there. Do not return without his hand and this mark or you will never be a true warlord.' Tenal drops to the ground as the last words leave his lips.
You gain experience!!

You receive The Mark of the Sword.

You'll now need to go to the Plane of Hate and kill the Hand of the Maestro (note: Hand is now pullable without having to kill Maestro of Rancor). You need to loot the hand, which is a rare drop. Bring that back and give it to Tenal along with the mark.

Tenal Redblade looks horrified as you give him the hand of the Maestro of Rancor and show him the mark of the sword. The godlike voice returns, 'You have done well to acquire this. One final task must be completed before you hold the red scabbard in your mortal hands.' Tenal reaches out and hands you a note. 'Take this note and a wingblade of the spiriocs to Kargek. When he receives them, I will speak to you one last time.'

You receive Tenal`s note to Kargek.

You now need a Spiroc Wingblade from the Spiroc Lord in the Plane of Sky. Take the Wingblade and the note to Kargek where he gives you the Red Scabbard and instructions on how to combine the Ancient Blade, Ancient Sword Blade, Finely Crafted Dragon Head Hilt, and Jeweled Dragon Head Hilt.

Kargek Redblade says 'What is this? A note from my brother? Thank you for the gift as well.' Kargek reads the note and hands you the huge sword hilt. Your mind is filled with the sound of battle and a voice. 'Place the ancient sword blade, ancient blade, finely crafted dragon head hilt and the jeweled dragon head hilt into the scabbard to receive your rewards. If you think you are worthy, place your rewards into the scabbard and see what havoc you can unleash on the world. Kargek addresses you as you turn to leave. 'One more thing. Gartrog over there has told me of a great discovery. Seems there are all sorts of stones being found in the recently discovered lost dungeons scattered around Antonica. The Wayfarer's Brotherhood has found a way to make items even more powerful by using the stones with existing items.'

You gain experience!!

Ancient Sword Blade

Talk to Denken Strongpick on Aviak Island in the Ocean of Tears.

You say, 'Hail, Denken Strongpick'

Denken Strongpick says 'Hello, ______. I am Denken Strongpick. I wish I could get off this rock, silly clan honor. My boss broke our rebreathers and we can not go back to the mainland before we gather some goblin relics.'

You say, 'What goblin relics?'

Denken Strongpick says 'There are supposedly goblin ruins around here somewhere. Fendlemend thinks we will find paydirt underwater. We did find one thing.'

You say, 'What did you find?'

Denken Strongpick says 'We found a very fine sword blade.' Denken pulls open his pack and shows you a razor sharp sword covered with runes. 'I can't figure out what type of metal it is and I sure can't figure out what technique was used to forge it. Perhaps you would like to take it off my hands and [buy] it?'

You say, 'I will buy it.'

Denken Strongpick says 'Out here, money is fairly useless to me. You see, I can't leave Fendlemend out here alone. I signed on with a very detailed contract. I could sure [use] a few things from the mainland though.'

You say, 'What could you use?'

Denken Strongpick says 'I would be willing to part with this very fine blade for; a keg of Vox tail ale, a block of permafrost to keep it cool and two new rebreathers to get this operation back underway.'

a) A Keg of Vox Tail ale - bought from alot of vendors around the world. A good place to buy one is the sandfishers in North Ro or the Freeport Port Authority.

b) A Block Of Permafrost - Dropped by Ice Giants. (while you're here, kill some goblin wizards until you find a frozen goblin heart -- you'll need it later).

c) Two Rebreathers - Tinkered by Gnomes. Expect to drop as much as 4k for getting two rebreathers.

Turn the Rebreathers, Keg of Vox Tail Ale, and the Block of Permafrost in to Denken:

Denken Strongpick says 'Excellent! Here is your sword. I feel like I'm at home already!'
You gain experience!!

You get the Ancient Sword Blade.

Ancient Blade

The Ancient Blade is dropped by the Queen of Chardok. Bring along a large group of friends.

Finely Crafted Dragon Head Hilt

Head to the chessboard in Timorous Deep. At the base of the King piece you'll find a Severely Damaged Dragon Head Hilt. Head back to Wenden.

You say, 'Hail, Wenden Blackhammer'

Wenden Blackhammer says 'What do you need? Be specific, I'm busy right now!'

You say, 'I have a Severely Damaged Dragon Head Hilt.'

Wenden Blackhammer says 'Where in the world did you drag that up?!' Denken peers closely at the severely damaged dragon head hilt. 'This metal is the same material that some mages use to make powerful golems and this other metal looks like rejesiam ore. If you can find some of those materials, I can fix this hilt up easily.'

You say, 'What kind of golems?'

Wenden Blackhammer says 'That metal is used as the 'soul' of powerful magical constructions like golems. I do not know any place in this world where you could find a golem with a living center as powerful as this once was.'

You say, 'What is rejesiam ore?'

Wenden Blackhammer says 'Rejesiam ore is from the lands of Kunark. The mountain giants in the frontier mountains control the only known mine of this great ore. They have built a vast fortress around the mine to protect it. The giants don't particularly like to trade with us smaller folks, but there is one old miner named Mentrax Mountainbone who has traded with me in the past. Go find him and tell him Wenden sent you.'

You'll also need a Ball of Everliving Golem. This drops from the named golems in the Plane of Fear: Fright, Dread and Terror. Since a march 2015 patch, you may also get it from a harbinger of Fear if the golems are not up.

Now go to the Dreadlands, to the giant fort just west of Karnor's Castle. You need to kill the Mountain Giant Patriarch and loot a Giant Sized Monocle. Take the Monocle to Frontier Mountains. Get to the giant fort and get inside. When you get to the very end of the Mine you will see the giant named Mentrax Mountainbone.

You say, 'Hail, Mentrax Mountainbone'

Mentrax Mountainbone says 'What be it you want! Go away before I eat you for dinner!'

You say, 'Wenden sent me.'

Mentrax Mountainbone says 'Oh, old Wenden? I guess you be wanting some ore. Well, you can't have none! Not unless you get me a new monocle. No. No. No. Don't even try to talk, you either bring me a new monocle that will fit or no ore for you!'

Hand him the Monocle.

Mentrax Mountainbone says 'Eh, you actually found one! Thank you, ______. Here is a block of ore for you. Just don't let the other giants know.'
You gain experience!!

You receive Rejesiam Ore.

Now run back to East Freeport with the Rejesiam Ore, Ball of Everliving Golem and Damaged Dragon Head Hilt. Give these to Wenden.

Wenden Blackhammer begins to work and hammer away at the hilt pounding the new material into it. You can see the metal shifting and moving in ways you have never seen metal move before. Wenden wipes his brow as he hands you a fantastic looking hilt.

You receive a Finely Crafted Dragon Head Hilt.

Jeweled Dragon Head Hilt

Head to Lake Rathe and pick up an Unjeweled Dragon Head Hilt. It can be found on the lake floor at +2513, +920, underneath the aviak tower. Then head back to Wenden.

You say, 'Hail, Wenden Blackhammer'

Wenden Blackhammer says 'What do you need? Be specific, I'm busy right now!'

You say, 'I have an Unjeweled Dragon Head Hilt.'

Wenden Blackhammer says 'That just looks like it's missing some gems. I'm not quite sure what type of gems either but I can tell you two things about them just by the settings. They were all different, and they all were very, very expensive. If I try to put the wrong kind of gems in these slots, it may be ruined forever. I'll do whatever you want, though, just bring me the three gems you want me to try and put in the hilt.'

You'll need to get a Diamond, Black Sapphire, and Jacinth. They drop in various zones (Sebilis, Planes) and can almost always be found for sale in The Bazaar.

Take the Unjeweled Dragon Head Hilt, Diamond, Jacinth, and Black Sapphire to Wenden:

Wenden Blackhammer begins to fiddle with the hilt, gently pressing the gems into place. It seems to take forever as you watch in silence. Wenden slowly places the last gem in place and gently bends the settings to hold the gems before he hands it back to you. 'That's a very impressive looking hilt there. The material it is made out of seems strangely familiar,' Wenden says as he turns back to his forge and his other work.

You receive a Jeweled Dragon Head Hilt.

Assembling the Sword

As originally instructed, place the Ancient Sword Blade, Ancient Blade, Finely Crafted Dragon Head Hilt and the Jeweled Dragon Head Hilt into the Red Scabbard to receive your rewards.

Combining the Jagged Blade of War in the Red Scabbard splits it into the Blade of Strategy and the Blade of Tactics. Combine the two blades in the Red Scabbard to get the two-handed version again.

ok, i remember someone posting this, so i'll just repost for general info

after you give tenal the heart of frost and the totem, then recive the totem of fiery war, he is suddenly holding a sword, where he wasn't before.

i can't confirm this part, i hvn'et gone to do stuff in perma as of yet.

QUESTION -
is the heart of ice obtained from icebone skeletons in the lake of ill omen interchangeable with that found on the ice goblins in permafrost? it's much easier to get the heart in ill omen, since i'm in FM dealing with the monocle right now

ditto that - i only put up my post with the dropped items / bought items youd need to make an easy checklist. no other reason...

also, quit it with the stupid ideas, like killing denken - it's just a really boring and idotic idea.

"also, quit it with the stupid ideas, like killing denken - it's just a really boring and idotic idea."

I think the guy who wouldnt kill the quest guy is a GIMP. Your supposed to be a great warrior, and the fact is your too much of a WUSSY to fight because you maight lose faction. Gawd your pathetic, and Rallos Zek should strike you dead, or make you wear a skirt and serve the real warriors some food. Your intellectual prowess needs alot of expansion also, as you believe you way is the only way, again failing this test....
Nothing more exciting the running around like a wet nurse warrior and finding all the little factoids to dump on a quest guy.

Stay outa my way your nuttless wonder and maybe youll keep your head!

check your grammer on the third to last sentance.

now, if you would like to debate the fact that i don't want to take a faction hit that will quite likely prevent me from finishing the quest, i'd like you to think about that. i kill denkin to get the blade so i can complete the quest. OH WAIT, my faction with the quest giver sucks now, so i can't complete the quest..... hmm? is it logical to then kill Denkin? no. even if he does drop the blade, which is not likely, you can't complete the quest and all your work is in vain.

The reason i state that he doesn't neccecarily drop the blade is because quest items do not always drop off the quest npc, unless that npc is ment to be killed. the item is usually created as you give tne NPC whatever items it asks you for. I.E. guard vallon in west commons does not drop the note that he gives for the dervish ring quest.

lastly - i'm a halfling female warrior, so i wear a skirt. searving food however? i think you got a few problems with life if you think that a woman's place is in the kitchen. tell it to your mommy and see how she likes it. your post is immature and completly unproductive. please try to keep your ideas to the ones that might actually help people complete the quest.

just because i'm a warrior doesn't mean i have to be stupid

Just checked the vendors on Zachariah's Isle, Sister Isle, AC isle, seafury, dino, aviak, and goblin isle. No vox ale, though I did get some good excersize running from the dwarf and gnome on aviak after I accidentally pumiced one...

I found it at a vendor one night and the next it was gone. I strongly suspect it is sold but only a limited number exist. Similar to the quest in Qeynos where you need Crow's Special Brew. I will park a player at the vendor so he can purchase the brew. If I am correct then I will announce his location .

I hope if this is the case that Verant catches on that there wil be some people who may exploit other players and change this to a quest item itself or make it a lore item.

I would imagine that the faction hit would ***** up the quest. The shaman quest is set up so that if you don't do everything in the right order, you won't have good faction for later parts. If you kill the guys to get the blade, there is a good chance his pal in fp will tell you to get lost when you want to finish the quest.

no, rallos is the god of war - he neutral, just like to kill things - evil likes to torture things to death.

if he can show you the blade, that means he must be able to spout out a pre-programed text line. kill him and find out, if you don't belive me - but it is no as simple s killing this one guy - and i'm betting the faction hit would be something with betaneutral and rallos in it, so you couldn't finish the quest. why don't you kill him, and let me know the faction hit

the item you have to QUEST for is never droped by the npc that gives you the item - the way it works is - once you give tne NPC the items he requests - the computer checks to make sure they are the items you are supposed to give. if all checks are positive, then whatever item you are supposed to gain is created into your pointer.

example of proof: guard valon in west commons. on completion of the dervish rings quest, he gives you a note to take to the forge to get the freeport reserve milita tunic. however, of the millions of times i have KILLED guard valon, i have NEVER seen him drop the note.

think logically for a moment. if getting the fiery avenger were as simple as killing the NPC who gives it, would it really be that hard of a quest?

ok, this is a compilation of the items i've seen in this particualr board that you need to get in order to complete the quest - THIS IS NOT COMPLETE - also, this is only items that are dropped, or made, or purchased - not items that are given to you as part of the quest, to give to other people. this has NO new information, and is only ment to be helpful in gathering items without needing to know the storyline. hope it helps.

dropped items:
1 red dragon scale - talendor or nagafen
1 green dragon scale - severlious, in the emerald jungle
1 hand of the maestro - the maestro of rancor, the plane of hate
1 golem metal - the named golems in fear, dracoliche, cazic-thule, the plane of fear
1 block of permafrost - ice giants in permafrost
1 heart of ice - ice goblins in permafrost
1 giant monocle - mountin giant patriarchs, in dreadlands
1 Spiroac lord's sword - the spiroac lord, the plane of air

bought or found items
1 unjeweled dragon head hilt- lake rathe
1 severly damaged dragon head hilt - timorous deep
1 keg of vox tail ale - found at the freeport port athority or the sandfisher village in north ro
2 rebreathers - made by tinkers

gems
1 diamond
1 black sapphire
1 jacinth

note - the heart of ice found in the lake of ill omen is not interchangable with that dropped in perma

side note - okboggin is inside the gate to oggok, but far enough away so the guards won't aggro on you without invis. hope that helps, i had a helluva time finding him.

this is only meant to help with the items part, not order or content - that will come later.

Research is a funny thing. The more you do upfront, the better off you are. Not so funny, but the way it shoudl be. Lazy posts like this are only going to cause dis-information and time wasted.

After Green and Red scales
# Sep 25 2000 at 9:00 AM Rating: Default
After you hand in Green and Red dragonscale you will get a Mark of the Sword.

You have to turn in the Mark of the Sword together with a Hand of the Maestro, which is a new drop from Maestro in Hate. Ac5, int5, 20hps, 30mana, (Enc, Mag only). Will be hard to convince the Mag and the Enc on the hate raid that a warrior should get it...

After you hand in Mark of Sword together with a Hand of Maestro...
'Take this note and a "quest item" to Kargek. When he receives them, I will speak to you one last time

I have heard that next quest item is in Plane of Air but not sure..., but lets hope this is the last thing that is needed for Scabbard

Questions and Info
# Sep 25 2000 at 7:31 AM Rating: Decent
Well it seems that this is where everyone is stuck...

Where do you get the second blade?

Combining the blades and hilts will come after completing the scabbard part I think and no one has reported passing the scale part of that one. If you have, please post here with what happened.

I have completed the first hilt. It went exactly as it was posted here. I have gotten up to the scale part on the scabbard quest, but am realizing that it will be while until i get either of those scales because I dont believe either of the dragons has even been killed on my server :)

I doubt that the Keg of Vox Tail Ail isnt implemented yet, because Verant has sworn that all these quests are fully working and have been through rigorous testing. I know we have heard this before and it hasnt been true, but I doubt Verant would miss their cue on such important quests this time. So the only items that I havent obtained are...
Any of the second blade
The golem metal
The Permafrost Block
Keg of Vox Tail Ale
The two scales

I can say that everything else has worked as reported in the revision of full quest info posted earlier. The start of each part of the quest hasnt been too hidden, so I am sure the second blade is out there somewhere waiting for us to stumble upon it. Lets keep looking and good luck to all of you.

Ignoring the obvious comments to this statement (did anyone ever find FA_Quest V1.0?), let me point out that on the test server where this was tested, Vox Ale CAN be bought. Looks like they just missed it in the huge data transfer.

I've seen several pics of the new weapons (warrior and shaman) that have been posted on various sites. I have a question for anyone else that might have seen them. Why are the carriers of such fine weapons, all humans and without any equipment whatsoever? For starters, humans cannot be shaman and to run this quest you need to be fairly high level, which would mean you already have some decent equipment. Are these pictures fakes?

No they were taken through Everquest Emulator. It is a hacked model of EQ that allows you to do things like walk through any zone, pull up any item in game and such. The usual character model in the emulator is Human.

I recently looted a "Dragon Scales" from a named Wurm in burning woods (Level 50 or so) which was red in colour.

Is this the item for this quest? or does that item say "Red Dragon Scale"

If the item I have is for it then Im one happy puppy =)
Good Question

I was just thinking about this last night. What IF one of the "Dragon Scales" that happens to be RED for the wurmslayer quest will work? Should try giving one to the guy in EK (without the green scale) to see what he says. If he says something like "Thank you, do you have the other item I require?" then this quest might be a little more simple =)

Not necessarily some wurms drop a scale that looks exaclty like one of the named wurmsclase and ARE NOT need for the wurmslayer quest. If the scale you looted doesnt say lore then odds are its not needed for either the wurmslayer or the UBER weapon. I know if its a wurmscale thats not lore its deffinately not for the wurmslayer all are lore for it and if Identified have the name of the wurm that dropped it : )

Right click on the weapon itself and it becomes 2-1HS weapons... right hand all red, left hand all blue. Red being Heart and Blue being Soul.

Stats:
2HS 39/40 +bunch of stats Proc:

Rage of Zek
Decrease Current Hitpoints by 175 (L1)
Decrease Armor Class (AC) by 23 (L1)

Once you right click and divide it you activate effect:Spliting,

Soul:

Actually, I have it from a reliable source that you have to put the two individual 1H weapons into a special scabbard, then click on the "Combine" button. This will merge them into the larger weapon. You can break them apart into two weapons again by doing the same thing.

Weapon Quest
# Sep 23 2000 at 11:05 PM Rating: Decent
A thought came to me as I was meming my new spell Imbue Emerald. Everything they have done in this new patch has been deity based. it would make sense then that the quest for the weapons is also deity based. 2 druid deities... 2 druid weapon quest. one can only be used by Tunare druids one by Karana druids. This would make sense with all of the stuff they have done with the rest on the patch. The armor is class based but the spells to imbue are deity based. Maybe there are 2 starting points. I doubt you would combine the heart of the treant in a bowl because he tells you to give it to someone (force it on them) not to combine it.

It would make sense then that the unicorn would be the Tunare druid starting point and the Treant would be the Karana druid starting point. Because of the fact that the unicorn is on Faydwer (home of Tunare druids) and the treat is on Antonica (home of Karana druids).

I think the bowl is for something else entirely.

Summarization and Unanswered Questions
# Sep 23 2000 at 8:40 PM Rating: Excellent
Here’s all the information that I have gathered as of 9-23-00. Most of it just compiling other peoples post, adding conversations with the NPC’s and my personal thoughts and questions about this Warrior Quest.

Scabbard - Kargek Redblade in East Freeport, he's on a ledge over the area leading to the Shadowknight guild. Hail him. You ask him “What about your Scabbard” and he asks you to do him a favor in return for information about it. You tell him that “I will do you a favor” and he gives you a Wax Sealed Note to give to Oknoggin Stonesmacker in Feerott. He's an unfriendly ogre near the big span the bridge there in Feerott. I had to use wolf form so I was not KOS with him. You give Oknoggin the note and he gives you a Tiny Lute to return to Kargek Redblade. You give Kargek Redblade the Lute and he gives you a book (I forget what it’s called.) that will tell you a little of the history of the old scabbard. He tells you if you would like to own the scabbard, seek out my younger brother Tenal Redblade and give him the book. Tenal is located in East Karana at the very bottom and back must part of the ramp leading to HighHold Keep. You give him the book and you will get a (something like) Frozen War Totem (in your inventory, so make sure you have a primary slot open). With this totem he ask you to bring him a heart from one of the goblins that have made their home in the land of the giants and return the Totem and Goblin heart to him. The heart that he’s looking for comes from Goblin Wizards in Permafrost. It’s the Heart of Ice that you’re looking for. You give Hear of Frost and The Frozen War Totem to Tenal Redblade. You get a “Totem of Fiery War” in your inventory and Tenal becomes possessed by Ralloz Zek and you get told to bring this moral the Totem of Fiery War , Red dragon scale and Green dragon scales from the children of Veeshan (Lord Nagafen/Talendor (skyfire dragon) for Redscale and Severilous (emerald jungle dragon) for the Greenscale).

* * * My question here is when Tenal gets possessed by Ralloz Zek, he says to bring this mortal the totem and the 2 scales. Well my only question is that earlier before when you give Tenal the Book for the first time he talks about how Kargek doesn’t believe in the legion, but for some funny reason he is the person that has the large red scabbard. It seems to be that the totem and scales are the last step for the Scabbard and I don’t want to ***** it up, giving the stuff to the wrong person.

First Hilt - In Lake RatheTear, right below 3 spawn (the aviak stairs/platform thing strait out from the South Karana zone). There is water. If you look under the water in that first little pool of water and at the very deepest part of the cone shape floor you will see a tiny bag. When you pick it up you will have something called “Unjeweled Dragon Head Hilt”. You bring this back to the guy next to Kargek Redblade in East Freeport named Wenden. You give him the Unjeweled Dragon Head Hilt , 1 Diamond, 1 Black Sapphire, 1 Jacinth. He'll repair it for you and you will get a “Jeweled Dragon Head Hilt”

Side note about this part of the quest. If you talk to Fellonious Sworddancer in East Karana right close to the bottom of the ramp to Highhold Keep, he will tell you a long winded story about an Ogre Champion Suteng that used to own these blades that we are all questing for. But the intrusting thing is that he talks about this Jeweled Dragon Head Hilt. He confirms that the 3 jewels needed are indeed the Diamond, Black Sapphire and Jacinth.

Second Hilt – I can’t seem to find the key words for this hilt yet. There may be some kind of hilt at Timorous Deep, chessboard, near king spawn (haven’t seen this yet)
Talk to Wenden and he says he needs Rejesiam Ore and Golem Metal. I’m also guessing that he wants a hilt too from the Timorous Deep loc? Wenden says this about the Rejesiam. “Rejesiam ore is from the lands of Kunark. The mountain giants in the frontier mountains control the only known mine of this great ore. They have built a vast fortress around the mine to protect it. The giants don't particularly like to trade with us smaller folks, but there is one old miner named Mentrax Mountainbone who has traded with me in the past. Go find him and tell him Wenden sent you.” --- Apparently when you talk to this giant he’s will to trade with you, but he wants a Monocle. These are known to drop of Giant Patriarchs in the Dreadlands. The are called “Giant Monocle”. It seems to be some kind of eyeglasses for one of your eyes. Wenden say this about the Golem Metal. “That metal is used as the 'soul' of powerful magical constructions like golems. I do not know any place in this world where you could find a golem with a living center as powerful as this once was.” --- Apparently the bosses in the Plain of Fear drop this. I’m guessing Cazic Thule and Dracholiche, but it would almost make to much sense if Dread, Fright and Terror dropped them since they are golems! He will make it for you and it’s called a “Finely Crafted Dragon Head Hilt” or at least that was what I was told. That doesn’t seem to trigger Wenden to talk about it.

* * * Please add more info to this….

First Blade - There are two new NPCs on aviak isle in the Ocean of Tears. Fendlemend Figlefop, a gnome, mentions a "silly sword blade" he found while excavating for goblin artifacts. He mentions giving the blade to his dwarven excavator Denken. Upon asking Denken Strongpick about the sword, he shows you a "razor sharp sword covered in runes" and asks if you want to buy it. Saying he has no need for money, he offers to trade the sword for "a keg of Vox tail ale, a block of permafrost to keep it cool, and two new rebreathers".
The Keg of Vox Tail Ale was found recently on the test server in the Barbarian town of Halas being sold by some merchant for about 110pp. I’m guessing it’s sold at a bar or tavern. But apparently it’s only on the test server and is not being sold on any of the “live servers”. This seems to be just a slight oversight on Verants part. =) The Block of Permafrost is a rare drop off of Ice Giants inside of Permafrost. The rebreathers are made by gnomes, with their tinkering skill and cost about 900 to 1000pp.

Second Blade - I haven’t seen anything about this.

There are some other questions that I don’t have an answer to either and I’m hoping you guys can help

***Once you have the 2 hilts and 2 blades, what blade and what hilt goes together?

***How do you combine the Hilts and Blades to get your weapons? I think that Wenden combines them, but I’m just guessing.

***Where does the Second Blade quest start?

***What is the name of the second hilt and do you need anything other than the 2 metals?

***What exactly drops the Golem Metal?

***Who do you give the Totem of Fiery War, Red Dragon scale and Green Dragon scale to, to get your Scabbard? Tenal Redblade or Kargek Redblade?

Revised Version With New Information

Here’s all the information that I have gathered as of 9-23-00. Most of it just compiling other peoples post, adding conversations with the NPC’s and my personal questions about this Warrior Quest.

You get a “Totem of Fiery War” in your inventory and Tenal becomes possessed by Ralloz Zek and you get told to bring this mortal the Totem of Fiery War , Red dragon scale and Green dragon scales from the children of Veeshan (Lord Nagafen/Talendor (skyfire dragon) for Redscale and Severilous (emerald jungle dragon) for the Greenscale). You give the Totem of Fiery War, Green Dragon Scale and the Red Dragon Scale to Tenal Redblade. From there this quest is supposed to go on…

Talk to him and he will tell you that the hilt is missing 3 types of very expensive jewels and he’s not sure what type they are. You give him the Unjeweled Dragon Head Hilt , 1 Diamond, 1 Black Sapphire, 1 Jacinth. He will make the hilt for you and it’s called a “Jeweled Dragon Head Hilt”

Second Hilt - In Tremorous Deep at the chessboard. There is a large King chess piece. Right at its base you will see a small bag. Pick it up and you will get a “Severely Damaged Dragon Head Hilt”. You bring this back to the guy next to Kargek Redblade in East Freeport named Wenden. Talk to Wenden and say “Severely Damaged Dragon Head Hilt”. He will tell you that with some Rejesiam Ore and Golem Metal he can repair it easily. I do not know any place in this world where you could find a golem with a living center as powerful as this once was.” --- Apparently the Golems in the Plain of Fear drop this. I have confirmed that Dread and Fright both dropped it, but Terror was unconfirmed. You give him the Severely Damaged Dragon Head Hilt, Rejesiam Ore and Golem Metal and he will repair the hilt for you and it’s called a “Finely Crafted Dragon Head Hilt”

Saying he has no need for money, he offers to trade the sword for "a Keg of Vox Tail Ale, a Block of Permafrost to keep it cool, and two new Rebreathers". The Keg of Vox Tail Ale is supposed to be sold in Halas at a bar called McDonald Fire Cider. The NPC’s name that sells it is Brandyn McDonald and it sells for about 125pp. But do to a bug right now. It is only being sold on the Test Server. Expect a fix soon. The Block of Permafrost is a rare drop off of Ice Giants inside of Permafrost. The Rebreathers are made by gnomes useing their tinkering skill and cost about 1000pp. I don’t know if this quest goes on after you give Denekn his keg, block and rebreathers.

You give the dragon scales and the totem back to Tenel, the guy in EK. But the quest is not over. I will not spoil it but the quest will actually end with Kargek, the guy in East FP.

I just varified that on the Test Server only, a Keg of Vox Tail Ale is sold by Brandyn McDonald at his bar called McDonald Fire Cider, for 125pp. This is in Halas.

Ok here comes a post from a guy I met in E karana.
Maybe this will help you if you read it really carefully

You say, 'hail Felonius Sworddancer'
Felonius Sworddancer says 'Hello, Beladrin I am Felodious Sworddancer. A travelling historian and storyteller. Would you care to hear a story?
You say, 'what story?'
Felonius Sworddancer says 'I could treat you to a story about an ogre legend! But perhaps you would like to hear a story about the gnome that cried kobold?
Beladrin says, 'what ogre legend ?'
Felonius Sworddancer says 'Suteng was an ogre champion who walked the land long before the children of Rallos Zek were cursed. He feared no other creation of Zek and the children of the other gods were to be laughed at. It was at this time that Rallos Zek was seeking a warrior to unite all of his armies and lead them to battle against the forces of the other gods.
Beladrin says, 'what gods'
Felonius Sworddancer says 'Suteng was a great combatant, however, he was far too cocky to become a suitable leader and this displeased Rallos Zek. One who respected no one could not do this. In order to test Suteng, who had grown far too confident, Rallos had his twin sons craft two swords to test his great ogre warrior's reaction and resolve. Rallos created a great red scabbard to hold the swords as well.
Beladrin says, 'what well'
Felonius Sworddancer says 'The swords were like no others. Each one having an ornately crafted hilt shaped like a dragon head. Sparkling diamonds, black sapphires and jacinth covered the handles as well. The razor sharp blades were covered in runes that glowed and shimmered.
Beladrin says, 'what shimmered'
Felonius Sworddancer says 'Suteng bowed in reverence to his Lord Rallos Zek as he was given the weapons. Rallos warned Suteng that these weapons might destroy him if he were not truly worthy of leading his armies. Not heading Rallos' warning that the weapons may be too powerful for him to control, Suteng gathered up a raiding party of his finest warriors to seek battle.
Beladrin says, 'what battle'
Sun Sep 24 00:50:00 2000 Felonius Sworddancer says 'They traveled across the lands in search of a suitable target. Finally they came across a goblin army camped upon the plains. Suteng sounded his battle charge and his band of ogres charged down the hillside into the army's encampment.
Beladrin says, 'what encampment'
Felonius Sworddancer says 'With each swipe of their swords the ancient ogres slew many goblins. Suteng waded through the battle, his new weapons calling out for the blood of more powerful foes. His bloodlust grew with each kill, his blades spurring him onward. Ignoring his own wounds, he fought on until the goblin army was dead or scattered to the winds.
Beladrin says, 'winds'
Felonius Sworddancer says 'Only the hulking ogres of old remained standing on the blood-soaked plains. Suteng felt like a god and that would be his downfall. He looked to his companions, the great and powerful ogre warriors with whom he had killed and shed blood. Suteng felt nothing but contempt for them. They, of course, were weaker then, or at least so he thought.
Beladrin says, 'what thought'
Felonius Sworddancer says 'Without a second thought, Suteng stabbed the ogre nearest to him in the neck with one of the swords. His body moved like a whirlwind of death, slaughtering his own companions. The ogres fought back valiantly, no match for Suteng with his enchanted blades.
Beladrin says, 'what blades'
Felonius Sworddancer says 'The laughter of Rallos Zek boomed across the plains as the lord of war appeared before Suteng and took the weapons from the ogre's hands. The swords slashed into Suteng swiftly, killing him where he stood. The lord of war spoke to the remaining ogres on the battlefield, explaining why he had tested Suteng.
Praxis says out of character, 'anyone see any griffins?'
Beladrin says, 'what tested'
Felonius Sworddancer says 'He also told them each that if they wished to wield the weapons, they would have to seek them out for they would be broken into pieces and spread across Norrath. The blades would not be whole again until a suitable warrior found the pieces, and gained the red scabbard.
Beladrin says, 'what scabbard'
Felonius Sworddancer says 'The lord of war handed the smallest ogre the great red scabbard and told him that it was his charge, and the charge of his family, to test any warrior who wished to have it.
