Rogue Epic: Ragebringer  

Malka spawns at the 3 smug spawn down in Qeynos Sewers. She spawns only at night and despawns at 7 am. Not a Rogue, but im hoping this might help you guys out.

All the stats and some pics are at www.everlore.com so check it out if ya want! Personally i think the weapons "particle effect" is pretty weak... It almost looks like an ordianry Kunark dagger (little things sticking out the side)

Yes, it has been completed! If you read below this post, other posts will tell the stats, but the neglected to mention what it looks like! It looks like the Rogue symbol on the persona screen. The little dagger thing. (Sweet!) Also the particle effect is drops of poison falling from the blade!

I've been watching Safehouse for a few days and this is for real. Kaylum, Mil and several other people have been hard at work on it and they have pics. Wtg guys! 1st job
GZ, Mith 2 hander, Painbringer, Fleshripper

2nd job
Ishva, Oracle, Shining metallic and Kedge robes

3rd job (Not very sure)
Martune rapier, Burning rapier, Well balanced rapier and Eyezarria.

Seems pretty linear so far, but it may take a huge turn soon, the EQ team seems pretty cocky bout the new quests, wouldn't be so...easy? <shrug> This is what i have gathered so far, most credit going to the safehouse. Adios

Greetings my mentor. I write during a caravan en route to Qeynos, which I sorely miss.

Although you sent me to Freeport strictly on business, I did meet up with my old street friend, Wapil.

Wapil, with much exuberance, had worked up his pick-lock skills to that any thief would envy (ooc: skill (200), he is lvl 38). He wished to pick the lock in the Freeport Vault to see if that one guard was still posted back there.

When we were wee delinquents, way before the continent of Kunark was born, an older rogue had opened the door for us. We were such curious fledglings at the time, and he (being the arrogant, almost conceited rogue he was) gladly opened the door for us.

Well, when my friend Wapil tried to open the door, he discovered his skill was not high enough to pick the lock. Thinking something was wrong, he asked many rogue friends about lock picking, and discovered that the Rakes and Blackguards can excell the Mastery of lock picking beyond that of a normal rogue.

So the lock has been changed. Maybe there is an item of great value, or perhaps even a secret we can use for 'compensation', behind the door, since it appears someone has gone to great lengths to keep us out.

Or, maybe I just need another Ogre Swill.

So, this is what Vexe and I (Tichkiir, 51 druid who is also Banton, 51 rogue) managed to accomplish tonight. We started out just running around every zone either of us thought might have our quest person in it, basically every zone I can teleport to and all the ones around each. After about 10 zones, I notice a new post on the Safehouse with info about some barbarian in NK that was dual wielding dagger and seemed interesting. We run back there and, lo and behold, there's the little midget barbarian sitting on the hill waiting for us.

At this point we head to Freeport and look around - Vexe checks the rogue guild while I go glance at more posts on the Safehouse. I see the post by <someone> with the ONE damn line we never tried (because it isn't obvious) and get that we should be going to Qeynos instead. The thing that upset me was that we tried a lot of similar meaning phrases that should have triggered the 'I will help' text. It makes a LOT more sense to my mind that 'I will wait for her' or 'I will go check' or SOMETHING actually related to his text about her being delayed would trigger the next piece of text. He never actually asks for help, you just have to guess to offer it directly :(

Anyways, once we pulled that off here, we ran back to Qeynos. Neither of us had been in the catacombs before, or even to the rogue quild, so we were taking it real slow and careful in there.

Turns out, after wandering around lost for a bit, that she is in the Catacombs zone. There is an area on the maps I was using that talks about thugs and brigands spawning there. That's where she is (makes sense).

At this point I notice the 'wandering spirit' on track and we run off to take a look at it. Repeated hailing does nothing, we kill it, drops nothing, says nothing, no faction. We go back to talk to shorty some more and he's gone - we can't find him again and call it quits for the night.

The thing is, this is a REALLY twisted quest. I mean, is it even OUR quest? Kendrick said the only existing item we'd need is the Burning Rapier, right? But this thief is asking for *4* weapons that are well established. Four weapons that rogues can't even wield! Only, the whole feeling of the quest, the fact it concerns a theif in Qeynos and a, well, facilitator in NK and what appears to be poaching on the territory of the Circle of Unseen Hands....that's all what I'd expect for a rogue! Then you add in that the belt from Malka is Rogue only and has Summon Throwing Dagger on it....that's SO designed for us (even though you can't actually get any daggers from it :(). So, I'm confused.

Anyways, calling it a night. Will try and find warriors in the guild tomorrow that will hand in Painbringer and Fleshripper with Vexe, see about getting a M2H and GZ from someplace too *shudder*. Good luck taking it further!

What we know:
-The weapon doesn't require anything from kunark.
-The weapon doesn't require anything from PoS.
-The weapon doesn't require anything that was ingame before the patch except possibly a burning rapier.
-The quest will be unlike the firey avenger quest, will most likely be much more in depth, will not be as linear.
-We were told to "think outside the lines. This won't be like the other quests".
