Full Walkthrough

You say, 'Hail Tomekeeper Dahl'

Tomekeeper Danl says 'Good day, citizen. Please remember to keep your voice down in our library. Feel free to browse the extensive collection of books we have on display. Learning is all about you and our library is the greatest collection of educational literature in the world, as you can no doubt see. However, there are a few books we do not own and we are prepared to pay well to acquire [rare finds].

You say, 'What rare finds?'

Tomekeeper Danl says 'Yes, any rare books, tomes, essays, or other literature you find may be of interested to me. Although the finds I am interested in are quite high profile and would most likely only be found in the possession of very powerful or influential beings. Give me what you have found and I will pay you what it is worth to us.

The book he requires is called 'Immortals', which can be found on various named mobs in Skyfire (Guardian of Felia, A Lava Walker, A Wandering Wurm, Black Scar, Faerie of Dismay).

Give Tomekeeper Danl the book of Immortals and get this response:

Tomekeeper Danl gasps at the sight of the rare book and says, 'This is a great find indeed! I can only imagine who you had to.. persuade to give you the book. Our library would be very interested in acquiring this and I am prepared to give you this platinum and a referral that marks you as a friend of the library. If only [Lheao] could see this.'

You say, 'Who is Lheao?'

Tomekeeper Danl says 'Lheao was my predecessor here at the Library of Erudin. He has since retired, just a few years ago. I'm sure he would be most impressed with your find and offer insightful conversation on the subject. Although I'm not sure one of your profession would be interested in such a scholarly endeavor, no offense. If you are interested, find him and tell him you found the book 'Immortals.' I'm not sure where he has retired to, but I hear it is near an ocean somewhere.

He gives you a piece of paper called Danl's Reference.

Before continuing on, you will need to complete the following quests in this order:

Red Sash of Order (required to get the Robe of the Lost Circle)
Monk Purple Headband (required to get the Robe of the Lost Circle)
Monks of the Whistling Fists (to obtain the Robe of the Lost Circle, which is required to get the Robe of the Whistling Fists)
The Lost Circle (to obtain the Robe of the Whistling Fists, which is required in the next part of the monk epic)

Next, head to the hidden oasis in Timorous Deep. Once there, speak to Lheao.

You say, 'Hail Lhaeo'

Lheao jumps at your voice and begins laughing at his skittishness. He says, 'Ahh, hello there. Not many people know of this place, so visitors are quite rare. Hehehe. It's a very beautiful place indeed, so, ummm, please don't go telling everyone you know about it. Heheh. Thanks, friend.'

You say, 'I have found the book Immortals'

Lheao looks up at you, eyes wide in astonishment, and says, 'My god, you found 'Immortals'?! Where did you find it? Never mind, that is unimportant. I have in my possession a book that explains more about these individuals. Its value is unimaginable as well as the impact it is capable of. As you can see, I grow old. I need an individual to watch over this book and make sure it is protected. Would you be willing to [take this responsibility]?'

You say, 'I will take this responsibility'

Lheao says 'I'm sorry, but I could only give this book to a true master, such as a member of the Whistling Fists Order. And unless you can give me proof that you are one, in addition to Danl's reference, which is very unlikely, there is no way I'll let you take charge of [the Celestial Fists].

You say, 'What Celestial Fists?'

Lheao says 'The Celestial Fists is the title of a book written by an unknown author. His writing is sub par but the legend is interesting from a biographical standpoint alone. Its rarity commands top dollar in the scholarly community but the secrets revealed in the book are what truly makes it dangerous. I've thought many times to destroy it but just couldn't. I hope I'm able to find someone to watch over it soon.

Hand in the Robe of the Whistling Fists and Danl's Reference to get this response:

Lheao says 'Astonishing! To think that you are a master of an order thought to be lost to our world. Forgive my earlier doubts. I believe you are indeed worthy to be given the responsibility of watching over this book. Take great care that it does not fall into the wrong hands as it would be truly disastrous.

The Celestial Fists Book is illegible.

Now head to Trakanon's Teeth and find an NPC named Kaiaren. He is located at Loc -1609, -2679, in the undead ruins.

You say, 'Hail Kaiaren'

Kaiaren says, "AHHH get it away from me go away .. leave me alone".

You say, 'What Celestial Fists?'

Kaiaren says 'Eh? What's that? Bah! That was destroyed long ago. Don't waste my time with fairy taAAAAAGGHHH GET IT AWAY!!!! HELP!!! They're all over MEHEHEHEHEEEEEEee!!

Hand the book "Celestial Fists" to Kaiaren, you will get the Celestial Fists book back and get this response:

Kaiaren's eyes open wide and he attacks you!

If you kill him, you'll get the response, 'Not bad.. Now lets see if you can find my trueform if you do we discuss this further.'

However it is not necessary to kill him. You can just Feign Death to eliminate his aggro.

Now go out and find Kaiaren's true form, which spawned when you gave the book to the angry form. This version is also called Kaiaren, and spawns at approximately +300, +2400 in a building next to the lake. He is indifferent to all.

When you hand him the book, he says the following:

(NOTE: The book you handed in was called "Celestial Fists." The book you get back is called "Book of Celestial Fists." Do NOT hand this book in yet, as he will also be expecting an item you have not yet obtained.)

Kaiaren says 'Now, then. Where did you find this, monk? This is not just some light reading to be borrowed from the town library. Who gave this to you?

You say, 'I got it from Lheao'

Kaiaren says 'Hmmm, never heard of him. Well, it doesn't matter, the book is here now. Curse that idiot for writing it in the first place. Not even sure why I let him stick around. If you ever see that clown monk Aradiel kick him in the shins for me! At any rate, I suppose you'd like to find the Fists and [have a nice chat with them], eh? Their master owes me much. I would reward you well if you were to bring me proof of the master's defeat'

You say, 'I would like to have a nice chat with them'

Kaiaren says 'Yes, I suppose you would. All you children looking for fame and glory will eventually learn the poison of ambition. But how will you find them? They are able to meld with their elements seamlessly and they certainly have no interest in fooling with the likes of you. No, you will need to get their attention. Fortunately, I know [how you can do this].

You say, 'How can I do this?'

Kaiaren says, 'My guess is that the weakest of the Fists will be the easiest to draw out. He is egotistical and arrogant. How he came to master the Discipline of Fire, I do not know. He will most likely be in another form, one of his element. When you find the one you believe to be the Fist, you must challenge him. If you use his true name, Eejag, in your formal challenge, he will respond. A flame can burn intensely but it cannot last for long. Know this when you battle him.

At this point, head on over to the Lavastorm Mountains with a group and find an imp named "A Fire Sprite" and say "I challenge Eejag." There will be a shout to the zone (if no shout, it means Eejag is already up):

Eejag shouts, "What imbecile dares challenges a Celestial Fist?! Do you even know who you are challenging? HA! You are nothing but an insect! I will enjoy crushing you, I have not charred the flesh of an idiot in decades! If you truly wish to fight me, the battle shall be held in my own element. Come, challenger, come down to the pits of flowing fire."

Head over to the fire pit by the entrances to Sol A and Sol B. Under the middle smoke plume, about half way down, you'll see Eejag (an Iksar) swimming. He cannot be pulled so you'll have to fight him where he is -- in the lava.

Once killed, he drops a Charred Scale.

Head back to Trakanon's Teeth and hand the Charred Scale to the true form of Kaiaren. The scale is returned to you, and you get the following:

Kaiaren says 'Ahhh, impressive indeed! Now that you have broken the chain of the Fists, the others may come toppling down if you persevere. The Fist of Air is now the weakest, then Earth, and finally Water before the master of them all, Vorash. You must defeat them in order, proving the demise of the last to draw out the one you are after. The task before you now is to take this scale and show it to the Fist of Air wherever he may be. Good luck.

Now head up to the Plane of Sky and find an NPC named "A Presence" on Noble Dojorn's island. It is in the form of a shadowman so only the name is visible.

Hand the Charred Scale over to the Presence and get this response:

a presence says 'Hahaha! That dolt Eejag fell to the likes of you? I'm not surprised. So, I guess this means you're here to challenge me. Normally, I wouldn't waste my time, but since you've defeated my younger brother, I suppose I'm obligated. I'm ready when you are, tell me when you're [prepared].

The Presence will despawn and a Human monk named Gwan appears in his place. Telling him 'I am prepared' causes him to attack (or do it the old fashioned way by engaging him first).

(NOTE: Gwan procs Fist of Air which can knock you backwards. This can be dangerous if you're too close to the island's edge.)

Once dead, loot the "Breath of Gwan" and go directly to the Mines of Nurga to find a sleeping ogre. He's KOS so you may have to have an enchanter charm him for this next part.

Once you're ready for a fight, hand him the Breath of Gwan to get this response:

a sleeping ogre says 'Your path of wanton destruction ends here. Gwan and Eejag were impatient and hot-headed. You will not defeat me, for I have the patience and perseverance of stone, unlike the children you have beaten before me. Are you sure you want to challenge me?

He won't give you a chance to respond. Trunt, a 59th level KOS ogre will immediately spawn and attack. He is immune to magic and a tougher fight than the previous ones.

He drops Trunt's Head.

Take the head to Lake Rathe and find a 58th level dark elf named Deep who lives in the lake. Hand Trunt's Head to her to get the following:

Deep slowly opens her eyes and looks up at you. She stares at you a long while and then closes her eyes and lowers her head again, saying, 'Very well, if you wish death so greatly, we will be happy to oblige. My master projects part of himself in the wilder lands known as the Overthere. He has granted you an audience. Find him and show him the head of our earth brother. At that point, we will discuss how we will end your life.

Deep despawns immediately and you get the Head of Trunt back.

Head to the Overthere, and find Astral Projection in the bottom of the scorpion chasm at +3830, -3545. He does not need to be fought.

Hand Trunt's Head over and get the following response:

Astral Projection looks up and down and says, 'Hmmm, I was hoping for something more impressive. This is just a small token of the last person who tried to interfere with my plans. He failed as you shall. But tell me truly, are you the one who has so rudely removed my students?'

You say, 'Yes'

Astral Projection says 'I assume you have read about us and spoken with the old man, Kaiaren. Since that time, I have grown in power and influence to a point unseen by any mortal. Unfortunately, I will have to demonstrate a small amount of my skill when I destroy you. This is bad. I must decide whether you are worthy to see the techniques I wield, even though you will die shortly thereafter. Tell me, who are you?

You say, 'I am the one'

Astral Projection chuckles and says, 'That's quite a boast. All beings strive for nothingness at the most basic level of sentience. However, almost none ever achieve this. Not even I have discarded my ego yet and you stand here and tell me you have? Perhaps you will be a worthy opponent. I shall be waiting in the great lake near here. Take that token as proof of things to come for you. If you still wish to throw your life away so needlessly, return it to my image there. I await your decision.'

He will give you an Eye of Kaiaren and then despawn.

Now head to the Lake of Ill Omen for the final fight of the monk epic. You can find Astral Projection (same form as the Overthere version) on the platform in the lake itself at +765, +860.

When you give the Eye of Kaiaren to the Astral Projection, he despawns. Deep and Vorash will then both spawn, and are very much KOS.

Deep procs Fist of Water, and hits for 170ish. Vorash procs Fist of Mastery, which is a DD and a stun, and hits for around the same as Deep.

Both Deep and Vorash have no items.

Once killed, Vorash says 'Foolish mortal! You think you have defeated me? Now, witness the true power of Rallos Zek!

Xenevorash will then spawn on the platform, regardless of where Vorash dies.

Xenevorash procs Fist of Sentience which is a 500DD and a stun, and hits for 250.

Once he is killed, his death message is:

Xenevorash's corpse shouts 'Grraaaagghhhh!! NOT.. POSSIBLE!

He drops a Demon's Fang.

Finally, head back to Trakanon's Teeth and hand Kaiaren (either form) the Demon's Fang and the "Book of Celestial Fists."

Kaiaren bows his head and breathes a long sigh as if relived of a great weight. He then looks up at you and says, 'I honestly did not believe you could have defeated Vorash. Even though he sought nothing but war and bloodshed, it is a life nonetheless and we must mourn him. I will sew these fangs into magical fist wraps and they shall be yours. Remember Xenevorash. A purpose can be found for every situation and individual. To achieve perfection is to perceive this truth.'

You receive the Celestial Fists.

Okay,

To start the quest you need your robe of the whistling fists and the book of the immortals from skyfire. I also reccomend a new chest piece to wear, as it's going to get a little chilly.

Go to erudin and find tomekeeper Dahl.

'Hail Tomekeeper Dahl'

Tomekeeper Danl says 'Good day, citizen. Please remember to keep your voice down in our library. Feel free to browse the extensive collection of books we have on display. Give him the book.

Tomekeeper Danl gasps at the sight of the rare book and says, 'This is a great find indeed! I can only imagine who you had to.. persuade to give you the book. Our

Lheao is in the hidden oasis in Tdeep. EQatlas can give you a good map of the place.

'Hail Lhaeo'

Lheao jumps at your voice and begins laughing at his skittishness. He says, 'Ahh, hello there. Not many people know of this place, so visitors are quite rare. Hehehe. It's a very beautiful place indeed, so, ummm, please don't go telling everyone you know about it. Heheh. Thanks, friend.'

be given the responsibility of watching over this book. Take great care that it does not fall into the wrong hands as it would be truly disastrous.

Take the celestial fist book to Kaiaren in Trak's Teeth

'Hail Kaiaren'

Kaiaren says, " AHHH get it away from me go away .. leave me alone".

'What Celestial Fists'

Kaiaren says 'Eh? What's that? Bah! That was destroyed long ago. Don't waste my time with fairy taAAAAAGGHHH GET IT AWAY!!!! HELP!!! They're all over MEHEHEHEHEEEEEEee!!

Give him the book, he'll give it back to you and attack you. When he dies he says,

'Not bad.. Now lets see if you can find my trueform if you do we discuss this further.'

The trueform spawns in Trak. Run to him and give him the book.

Kaiaren says 'Now, then. Where did you find this, monk? This is not just some light reading to be borrowed from the town library. Who gave this to you?

'I got it from lheao'

Kaiaren says 'Hmmm, never heard of him. Well, it doesn't matter, the book is here now. Curse that idiot for writing it in the first place. Not even sure why I let him stick around. Keep the book he hands you back safe until the last step of the quest. Head to Lavastorm and find a fire sprite. Go up to it and say

'Eejag, I challenge you'

Eejag shouts What imbecile dares challenges a Celestial Fist?! Do you even know who you are challenging? HA! You are nothing but an insect! I will enjoy crushing you, I have not charred the flesh of an idiot in decades! If you truly wish to fight me, the battle shall be held in my own element. Come, challenger, come down to the pits of flowing fire.

Head to the lava pit in the north end of the zone, jump in with a good party and kill eejag. Next go to air and find the presence. Hand him the scale from eejag.

a presence says 'Hahaha! That dolt Eejag fell to the the likes of you? I'm not surprised. So, I guess this means you're here to challenge me. Normally, I wouldn't waste my time, but since you've defeated my younger brother, I suppose I'm obligated. I'm ready when you are, tell me when you're [prepared].

'I am prepared'

And gwan attacks. Kill him and take the breath to Nurga, to the sleeping ogre. hand the breath to him and good luck with this SOB.

a sleeping ogre says 'Your path of wanton destruction ends here, Vhoghul . Gwan and Eejag were impatient and hot-headed. You will not defeat me, for I have the
patience and perseverance of stone, unlike the children you have beaten before me. Are you sure you want to challenge me, Vhoghul?

Take his head to overthere and give it to the astral projection there.

Astral Projection looks up and down and says, 'Hmmm, I was hoping for something more impressive. This is just a small token of the last person who tried to interfere with my plans. He failed as you shall. But tell me truly, are you the one who has so rudely removed my students?'

'yes'

I must decide whether you are worthy to see the techniques I wield, even though you will die shortly thereafter. Tell me, Vhoghul , who are you?

'I am no one'

Astral Projection chuckles and says, 'That's quite a boast, Ashana.

Take the eye he gives you to the projection in ill omen. Also take a hell of alot of people to help. give him the eye and Deep and Vorash will spawn. Good luck. If you can kill them,

'Foolish mortal! You think you have defeated me? Now, witness the true power of Rallos Zek!

Xenovorash then spawns. Kill him, take his eye to either Kaiaren in Trak and hand him that, plus the book of the celestial fists.

Kaiaren bows his head and breathes a long sigh as if relived of a great weight. He then looks up at you and says, 'I honestly did not believe you could have defeated
Vorash. Even though he sought nothing but war and bloodshed, it is a life nonetheless and we must mourn him. I will sew these fangs into magical fist wraps and they

The Celestial Fists

You are required very early on in the Quest to hand in your RotWF, but if you are 46+ and have a lot of friends or are in a guild, you will be able to take the Fists first to get the Fang, then complete the RotWF. The start of the Epic Quest originates with Tomekeeper Dahl, on the second floor within the Erudite Library.

'Hail Tomekeeper Dahl'

Tomekeeper Danl says 'Good day, citizen. Please remember to keep your voice down in our library. Feel free to browse the extensive collection of books we have on display. Learning is all about you and our library is the greatest collection of educational literature in the world, as you can no doubt see. However, there are a few books we do not own and we are prepared to pay well to acquire [rare finds].

'What rare finds?'

The book he requires is called the book of Immortals, a book found in Skyfire. It drops from any of the following - 'Soul Devourer' , 'lava walker' , 'Black Scar', 'a wandering wurm', 'a Shadow Drake', 'Guardian of Felia', or any other of the named mobs there.

The following is the text from the book of Immortals:

The immortals who can be spoken of are not the Eternal Immortals. Their Spoken names are not the eternal names. In the namelessness they are the beginning of heaven and earth. Named they are one of the ten thousand things.
Though different in title they spring from one source and appear as darkness Darkness within darkness. The gate to their mystery. The immortals do not go forth. All comes to them. They are like the ocean, the king of ten thousand streams. By staying beneath they are a receptacle for all things. They do nothing. Yet are masters of the universe. Trorsmang! Be our course of action. Anbeal! Become the Vessel to hold our virtue. Drina! Be our stability, where we can take root. Cordan! Fill our vessels and calm our ambitions. Norrath! Take our husks and breathe life into them. We beseech you! Guide us in your humility.

Giving Tomekeeper Dahl the Book of Immortals, prompts the following:

Tomekeeper Danl gasps at the sight of the rare book and says, 'This is a great find indeed! I can only imagine who you had to.. persuade to give you the book. Our library would be very interested in acquiring this and I am prepared to give you this platinum and a referral that marks you as a friend of the library. If only [Lheao] could see this.'

'Who is Lheao?'

He gives you a piece of paper, Danl's reference, which identifies as 'Paper with the Erudin Library Seal'

Lheao is found in the Timerous Deep in the hidden oasis. The loc is approximately neg 11500, neg 2000, where you will run into a huge rock wall that is a huge ring of solid rock. There is an underwater tunnel, which goes under this wall, at approx neg 11357 neg 3657.

Once through that tunnel, you surface and see another huge rock. This second huge rock has another tunnel, so you have to stay underwater, and find the tunnel that goes under it. This finally leads you to the hidden oasis, where you see the hut with the ramp and Lhaeo.

'I have found the book Immortals'

Lheao looks up at you, eyes wide in astonishment, and says, 'My god, you found 'Immortals'?! Where did you find it? Never mind, that is unimportant. I have in my possession a book that explains more about these individuals. Its value is unimaginable as well as the impact it is capable of. As you can see, I grow old. I need an individual to watch over this book and make sure it is protected. Would you be willing to [take this responsibility]?'

'I will take this responsibility'

Lheao says 'I'm sorry, Kage , but I could only give this book to a true master, such as a member of the Whistling Fists Order. And unless you can give me proof that you are one, in addition to Danl's reference, which is very unlikely, there is no way I'll let you take charge of [the Celestial Fists].

'What Celestial Fists?'

Once the Robe of the Whistling Fists and note (Dahl's reference) are handed in, the following is said.

Lheao says 'Astonishing! To think that you are a master of an order thought to be lost to our world. Forgive my earlier doubts. I believe you are indeed worthy to be given the responsibility of watching over this book. Take great care that it does not fall into the wrong hands as it would be truly disastrous
The Celestial Fists Book is illegible.

~~The Kaiaren's~~

The next step is someone called Kaiaren, who is located at Loc -1609, -2679, just as you come into the upper Sebilis Ruins in Trakanons Teeth.

'Hail Kaiaren'

Kaiaren says, " AHHH get it away from me go away .. leave me alone".

'What Celestial Fists'

Kaiaren says 'Eh? What's that? Bah! That was destroyed long ago. Don't waste my time with fairy taAAAAAGGHHH GET IT AWAY!!!! HELP!!! They're all over MEHEHEHEHEEEEEEee!!

Handing Kaiaren the book Celestial Fists prompts:Kaiaren's eyes open wide and he attacks you!

Upon death he says 'Not bad.. Now lets see if you can find my trueform if you do we discuss this further.'

Note: You do not need to kill Kaiaren, as giving him the book and feigning him off works fine.

The next step is to find Kaiaren's true form, which spawns when the book is given to the mad Kaiaren. He is also called Kaiaren, and is located near the lake in Trakanons Teeth. He spawns at approx 300, 2400 in a building next to the lake. He is level 60+ and indifferent.

When you hand him the book, he says the following:

Important Note: The Book is returned to you, but it is NOT the same. The properties of this book have now been changed, and although you cannot tell, it is different. Please DO NOT hand this book over again until the final stage.

If you ever see that clown monk Aradiel kick him in the shins for me! At any rate, I suppose you'd like to find the Fists and [have a nice chat with them], eh? Their master owes me much. I would reward you well if you were to bring me proof of the master's defeat'

'I would like to have a nice chat with them'

Kaiaren says 'Yes, I suppose you would. All you children looking for fame and glory will eventually learn the poison of ambition. But how will you find them? They are able to meld with their elements seamlessly and they certainly have no interest in fooling with the likes of you. No, you will need to get their attention. Fortunately, I know [how you can do this].

'how can I do this?'

~~The Celestial Fists~~

~~Eejag~~

In Lavastorm, there is an wandering Imp, larger than the others, called 'a fire Sprite'. The sprite looks to be pretty common and seems to travel from the druid ring to the southeast and back again. He is also a very low lvl imp. If Eejag is already spawned he won't shout to the zone when you say the challenge to the sprite. To initiate the sequence, hail the Fire Sprite with:

'I Challenge Eejag'

The fire sprite disappears and the zone gets a message...

Eejag shouts What imbecile dares challenges a Celestial Fist?! Do you even know who you are challenging? HA! You are nothing but an insect! I will enjoy crushing you, I have not

charred the flesh of an idiot in decades! If you truly wish to fight me, the battle shall be held in my own element. Come, challenger, come down to the pits of flowing fire.

Now go to the fire pit by the Solesek's and under the middle smoke plume, half way down an Iksar will be swimming. He is lvl 55, max hits for 157, but seems to swing very slow. Eejag will NOT be pulled. He refuses to move from his spawn spot, which is about half way down the lava, right in the middle. When you get summoned, you appear on the bottom of the lake directly beneath him, where he can hit you, but you cant hit him. He can summon you regardless of if you are in the lava or not. Visibility is VERY bad.

Tactics: Min 2 Groups, and buff everyone with Dead Man Floating, Enduring Breath and Regen. One person goes down and gets the target then comes back up. Everyone charges in, including the Clerics, so they could do group heals, as the lava does not interrupt spells. Everyone then assists the person with target and find him via the /yell command.

Other tactics involve all floating above him, and sending the tanks and caster pets in, and popping back up to the surface to the Clerics for heals.

Once killed, he drops nothing but the Charred Scale, which Identifies as the Remains of the Fists of Fire.

Note: Eejag can be summoned again immediatly after death by challenging the Fire Sprite again, there is no 'respawn time'.

You then hand the Charred Scale to the True Form in Trakanon's Teeth.

Good luck, Zadkiel .

~~Gwan~~

A presence, is found in the Plane of Sky, and is the Place Holder for the Fist of Air. The presence seems to have a respawn time of approx 2 hours. He has the model of a shadowed man, but carries no items, so is invisible apart from his name.

Note: The Charred Scale does not have to be cycled through Kaiaren's true form before being given to 'a presence', so this part can be skipped, but it is advisable to follow the story as intended.

If you travel to sky, rather than paying for the keys, kill the fairies, and have everyone loot a miniature sword. If you then kill the thunder spirit princess, she will spawn Sirran the lunatic. When everyone hands in the mini swords, you get a key of swords back. As with many guides on Sky, do not speak, (use /ooc instead) as if anyone says the key word [hassle] he will despawn. It is advisable not to buff people up until you are in sky, as zoning up removes all buffs. Now find the 'soapdish ashtray key platform thing' {Hotrod's term, not mine}, and drop the key on to use it, and it takes you to Dojorn isle, where the presence and Gwan are.

Hand the Presence the scale for the following:

a presence says 'Hahaha!

At this point the presence despawns and immediately respawns in the same location as a Human monk dressed in shiverback named Gwan. Telling him 'I am prepared' causes him to attack.

He doesn't respond to hails, and is lvl 57. He procs Fist of Air, which a lvl 57 resisted every proc with a MR of 120.

He has approx 14khp, (parsed by Sister Loani of Druzzil Ro) hits for 165, and the Fist of Air proc can knock you backwards, and like other mobs of this level, enrages.

Upon death, Gwan's corpse lets out one last, frustrated breath and gasps, 'Trunt! Prepare yourself!'

Tactics:The 'a presence' is on Dojorn's island, which also contains the bladestorms, but they have been confirmed that they will not attack and help, or KS Gwan.

You cannot trade with the presence (i.e. give him the scale from Eejag,) while it is in the windmill. It is best to give the scale to a presence, causing Gwan to spawn, then pull Gwan into the windmill and kill him. Pulling him is recommended to be done while in Melee range, i.e. WALKING backwards with him. Running off nearly always causes him to path incorrectly, and disappear to another island. It is highly recommended to pull him into the Windmill.

It is possible for 6 people to kill Gwan (although it is recommend to have more, the original group was high 50's-60th lvl). Gwan is 100% MR, and only the lure line spells seem to hit him. He also required melee range for even Lure line to stick.

He drops nothing but the Breath of Gwan, which id's as Item Lore: Remains of the Fist of Air.

Important Note: Do not hand the The Breath of Gwan to the true form of Kaiaren, as it will be eaten. The Breath is required for the next step, Trunt.

~~Trunt~~

Within the mines of Nurga, which is located in the Frontier Mountains, there is 'a sleeping Ogre', near a number of spiders not too far into the dungeon. A good marker is a unique graphic to this dungeon, which is a smoking hole in the wall, where you can see lava. When he is spawned he is looking right at that crevice in the wall. The Sleeping Ogres respawn time is approx 1 hour 45 mins.

He is KOS, and he says nothing except some kind of sleeping message when you hail him while charmed. Turning in the breath of Gwan spawns Trunt, which is done by sneaking behind him, or charming him, and gets this response:

a sleeping ogre says 'Your path of wanton destruction ends here, Southern . Gwan and Eejag were impatient and hot-headed. You will not defeat me, for I have the patience and perseverance of stone, unlike the children you have beaten before me. Are you sure you want to challenge me, Southern?

When answering the Sleeping Ogre, Trunt, who is KOS, spawns. He is around 59th level Ogre, who double hits for around 176, and has approx 19k hp (again parsed by Sister Loani of Druzzil Ro), and is also immune to magic. He also attacks faster than the others.

Trunt has no faction, and says no message when he dies. He drops nothing but the Head.

Trunts Head identifies as Remains of the fist of earth.

~~Deep~~

The next of the Celestial Fists is Deep. She is approx a level 58 Dark Elf, and lives under Lake Rathe, and is surrounded by Bloodgill Goblins. Her location is under the 3 Bird platform (the one with the flame on it)

When Trunts head is handed to her, she says the following.

Deep slowly opens her eyes and looks up at you. She stares at you a long while and then closes her eyes and lowers her head again, saying, 'Very well, Arakos, if you wish death so greatly, we will be happy to oblige. My master projects part of himself in the wilder lands known as the Overthere. He has granted you an audience. Find him and show him the head of our earth brother. At that point, we will discuss how we will end your life.

No Experience is received and Deep despawns immediately. You get the Head of Trunt handed back.

Note: Trunts Head does not have to be cycled through Deep, and this part can be skipped, but as mentioned above, it is advisable to follow the story as intended.

~~Astral Projections~~

Moving on, we have the Astral Projections. There is one in the Overthere, and one in the Lake of Ill Omen, with the Overthere Astral Projection being the first of the two. He is approx 52nd level, and if fought was hitting for 175 damage, and says nothing on death. His approximate location is 772, 860, neg 494, and is in the bottom of the scorpion chasm. He does not need to be fought.

Handing the Projection Trunts head, results in the following:

Astral Projection looks up and down and says, 'Hmmm, I was hoping for something more impressive. This is just a small token of the last person who tried to interfere with my plans. He failed as you shall. But tell me truly, are you the one who has so rudely removed my students?'

'yes'

Astral Projection says 'I assume you have read about us and spoken with the old man, Kaiaren. Since that time, I have grown in power and influence to a point unseen by any mortal. Unfortunately, I will have to demonstrate a small amount of my skill when I destroy you. This is bad. I must decide whether you are worthy to see the techniques I wield, even though you will die shortly thereafter. Tell me, Ashana , who are you?

'I am the one'

Astral Projection chuckles and says, 'That's quite a boast, Ashana. All beings strive for nothingness at the most basic

level of sentience.

He will give you an Eye of Kaiaren, and then the Astral Projection despawns.

He is a 3 hour spawn.

It is not sure where in the text the Eye of Kaiaren is given, and it is only the final text (telling him that 'I am the one') that despawns the Projection. So it is possible to give in Trunts head, receive the eye and leave the AP without despawning him.

Note: As with the previous warnings, for the sake of someone else waiting 3 hours for the respawn, I would despawn the projection. There were (prior to a recent patch) chances that Deep would spawn in the LoIO alone, without Vorash, so anything to minimize that chance is helpful.

~~The Final Fight~~

The second of the Astral Projections is in the Lake of Ill Omen, and is on a platform on the lake itself. The Platform is too high to climb onto, but SoW and Levitation can get you up there. He is identical in appearance to the other Projection.

Note: Another way to minimize the chances of Vorash and Deep not spawning together, is to have your groups on the edges of the platform, and hand the 'eye' in at the maximum distance allowed for trading. You can never be too careful.

When you give the Eye of Kaiaren to the Astral Projection, he despawns immediatly, and Deep and Vorash both spawn, who are KOS.

Xenovorash Procs Fist of Sentience which is a 500DD and a stun, and hits for 250 ish.

Once he is killed, his death message is:

Xenevorash's corpse shouts 'Grraaaagghhhh!! NOT.. POSSIBLE!

He drops a Demon's Fang.

Tactics: The final battle was done with 4 groups, which where all 52 to 58th level, one group was on Deep, all with high CR, and 3 groups where all on Vorash, with high MR. Due to the large amount of people involved, the fight was not bad, with no casualties.

Some groups pull Deep and Vorash to the 'beach', and this is normally done by a Bard or Druid with a faster than SoW song/spell, but this is not nescesary, and the fight can easily be done on the platform. However, fighting on the beach does allow a brief time to rebuff for the Xenevorash fight.

Xenevorash always runs on low health, so if fighting on the platform, he will run into the water.

The Astral Projection respawns 3 hours after Xenevorash has been killed.

~~The Celestial Fists~~

Please remember that the book needed to be handed to the True Form first, for you to receive the quest information in the first place, (as in he prompts you to look for Eejag.) Once this (now different) book has been returned to you, it is now ready to be handed to Kaiaren along with the Fang.

Handing either form of Kaiaren (Mad or True) the Book and the Fang, results in the Celestial Fists being handed over, with the following text.

It makes your fists (unless they changed it), have two different effects. The left one i believe has clear blue shurikens emitting from it, and the other one has a pulse similar to the druid spell firefist that comes out, very nice, so if they did change it, someone tell me

A question for you guys about Karnor
# Nov 01 2000 at 7:09 AM Rating: Default
Sorry, to post this here, but It kinda deals with a small part of this quest. I took 3 months off from eq from like june through august(big mistake) and had not completed Rotwf quest before I left. I still needed the 2 pipes at that point. Well, anyway I just recently got the one from chardock, but the pawduster has been avoiding me for awhile now. I think I have been camping the warlord room for like 8 nights now for about 5 hrs a night. I havent seen him once. My question was , Has anyone seen the pawduster on your servers in the past 3 weeks or so? I just wanted to know if he was taken out for some reason and will be put back in in a future patch.

Thks,
Toranodo

They still pop, but they are rare. The placeholders for them are drolvarg bodyguards and warlords. There are 4 of them that spawn in a room that is down some stairs from 5 jail cells located near the hand room. The pawduster is a very rare spawn, if you camp the area all day he might pop once.

i heard there was a bug with this quest. seems players figured out you give the book to that K guy and he gives it back but each time you gave it to him you earned exp. so what im being told by the level 60 monks on veeshan is they got everything but cannot locate the true K guy inorder to give him the demon thing and this book. thier telling me that verant removed the K fellow from the game till they can fix this, or else you could become level 60 from just handing the book back and forth till your blue in the face.. is this K guy present on other servers? if so where is he?

I am really thankful for the brother or sister who took the time to type this out, but would like to say that in its current loosely sketched and entirely shorthand style typing... I cannot make heads or tales of anything this guy is trying to say.
I realize what has been typed is probably about a page of typing, and if it was written out clearly it may have been 3, but atleast then it would be legible and perhaps use could be gotten out of it.
Just my 2 cents.

Is it just me or is this quest pretty easy? You could easily do it in one day assuming you already have the RotWF, and a decent guild to help you. Also what I wanna know is do you even need to bother giving the head to the fist of water and the celestial fists to kaiaren initially, cuz they both just give the item back and tell you something you already knew. Or, perhaps it logs whether you turned in the book to those NPCs.

Yea, we just did quest in 1 day with 1 group. 2 Wars, Cleric, Monk, Rogue, Chanter. (Had wiz port us up to PoA, but he didnt help) And the book and head still have to be turned in, even tho they have the same name and everything the items are indeed different. Never tried skipping those steps, so yes, I could be wrong, but thatd be my bet.

Aye, the permakilled Kaiaren until the next patch, therefore making the quest impossible to complete (unless you have a GM spawn Kaiaren) until the next patch. And it wasn't the book, it was the Charred Scale, if you tried to turn the book into him i believe he eats it after you turn it in once.

Epic Quest Summary 10/16

Please refer to my last post (Epic Quest Summary 10/7) for the earlier steps of the quest.

Trunt has been found!!

He is "a_sleeping_ogre" in Nurga. When given the head of Gwan he despawns and immediately respawns as Trunt. I hear he hits hard and has loads of HP, so be prepared.

He drops "head of Trunt".... i'm guessing this is turned in to Deep in Lake Rathe.

So, we have the next step finished, and I'm guessing we're almost done here.

All from monkly-business.com boards:

Get the head from trunt in nurga, give it to deep, she gives it back, despawns and tells you to go to Overthere to find projection of her master.

give the head to Astral projection in the Overthere, he gives back an eye of kaiaren
to give to the AP in lake of ill omen near the platform in the center of the lake.

Give the eye to him, that spawns vorash and deep.
Kill vorash and that spawns xenovorash. Kill him and get the demon fang.

I read that the book should be given to the true form of kaiaren first, then when given back, to give both the book and the fang to either of them which may or may not give you back your final weapon.
#Anonymous, Posted: Oct 11 2000 at 10:43 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I am fairly new to this game and a lvl 17 paladin so really have no idea what I'm talking about, but common sense tells me that the earth fist would most likley be located in THE HOLE.
RE: Earth Fist? The Hole?
# Oct 13 2000 at 5:07 PM Rating: Default
Thats probably true. The HOLE as we know it is the underbelly of norrath. It is a realm ruled over by the diety Brell and as such most things down there involve the earth> earth elementals etc. Just my 2cp
#Anonymous, Posted: Oct 09 2000 at 7:35 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) The guardians the roam the area near the LS Nek zone may be part of this not sure. It seems like a relatively open place that few people would check. But it seam as if someone would have spotted an unusal looking guardian walking around by now.
#Anonymous, Posted: Oct 09 2000 at 5:17 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) ive found part of one of the monk epic quests, his name is eejag, an iksar monk npc in lavastorm, i wlil post a screenshot , or submit one to allakhazams to see if he posts here. he is lvl 55, hits for 105-110 a punch, ripostes alot, and you have to fight him in the lava pit near solb, because he summons the person that trys to pull him back into the lava.
Epic Quest Summary 10/7

Here are the steps we've found so far in the epic quest, we're not done yet, but it appears that we are getting closer:

-Get "Immortals" in skyfire off of various mobs
-Give "Immortals" to Danl in the Erudin Library
-Take Danl's reference and your Robe of the Whistling Fist and give them to Lheao in an underwater inn in the Timorous Deep
-Take the Celestial Fists from Lheao and go to Trakanon's Teeth and give the book the Kaiaren
-Giving the book to him will make him attack, so feign him off and go to the lake, you will find 'Kaiaren' there, this is the other Kaiaren's true form
-He tells you about the Celestial Fists, and that you have to defeat them, he says the easiest to defeat will probably be the one of the fire element
-Go to Lava Storm and find "a_lava_sprite (spirit?)" (the sprite/spirit looks like an imp) and say to it: "I challenge you Eejag"
-Doing so will cause it to despawn and you will immediately hear Eejag shout something to the extent of "You DARE challenge me?!?! I am the Master of the Discipline of Fire!! Blah blah blah If you want to fight me come to the fires below!" He is an iksar and can be found in the big fire pit near the Ro Temple/Sol A/Sol B zones
-He's pretty tough, so bring a group or two with you. He cannot be pulled out of the lava so you'll have to fight him in the lava.
-He drops "Remains of the Fist of Fire" which IDs as a "Charred Scale" (or something to that extent)
-This scale is either given the Kaiaren's true form or to "a presence" in sky (sorry, i cant remember) "a presence" was recently moved from a remote island in sky to Dojorn's island. To open a trade window with him you must be outside of the windmill.
-Upon giving him the scale he says something to the extent of: "Hah! So you defeated that arrogant fool Eejag? How he came to be the master of fire i wll never know. blah blah blah I suppose i should avenge him. Tell me when you are [prepared]. He immediately despawns and spawns as a human monk named "Gwan", I believe saying "I am prepared" makes him attack you.
-Upon killing him he says "Trunt! Prepare yourself!"
-He drops "Remains of the Fist of Air" which IDs as "Breath of Gwan".

Now... this is where we're stuck... we're now looking for the fist of earth (Trunt)(seeing as how Deep (in lake rathe) is supposedly the fist of water.)

This is all I have right now, hopefully we'll find that Fist of Earth so we can get this damned quest over with...

I'm guessing either a place where there are golems. The hole is beast guess for me.
#Anonymous, Posted: Oct 09 2000 at 3:59 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Well think about it guys, Earth must be either a mountain region or an earthy type dungeon spot. I'll check around the juggernauts next time i do trakanon but I haven't done hole yet and ill do that too. I suggest for those with less 'resources' to go check mountain areas, steamfont mountains, rathe mountains, frontier mountains etc, i dont have time to do it all ;)
#Anonymous, Posted: Oct 08 2000 at 11:47 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) hes in the hole, maybe he has something to do with it.
Oh yeah...
# Oct 08 2000 at 10:35 AM Rating: Default
I forgot to mention that Kaiaren's true form says something about the Celestial Fists being able to blend perfectly into their surroundings (i.e. Eejag's fire form is of a fire imp, and Gwan's is a shadowed man) So we're looking for either an earth elemental or a golem of some sort, possibly something else that we havent though of. I'm leaning towards golem though, because they could have made Gwan and Eejag's elemental forms elementals... but instead they made them other creatures assosciated with the element (i.e. fire imp and shadow man).

Keep a look out for strange mobs, probably not named but more along the lines of a_xxxx rather than Lord_Xxxx. Just a thought.

You found one monk in the heart of a volcano, another in the plane of sky, and expect a third to appear in a lake. It follows that you'd find the fourth within the depths of the earth.

What's the deepest underground location in Norrath? The Hole, perhaps?
#Anonymous, Posted: Oct 08 2000 at 11:22 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Hmmm, earth. There's earth elementals in Steamfront, The Hole is underground, maybe even Rathe mountains. Just my two bits. Also, sure there's only those 4? What if there is an Ice one, but even if there was, Everfrost or Dreads would be the place to go for dem.
#Anonymous, Posted: Oct 08 2000 at 11:59 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Hiya Awea! According to the game lore section on this site, there is an NPC named Talloth Vara in Paineel that talks about the history of the Hole. He says that they found "The Vault" which 1) is the seal to the plane of Underfoot, and 2) is the source of all of the Earth Elementals near the city.
#Anonymous, Posted: Oct 07 2000 at 1:19 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Is it possible that, being the Celestial Fist mobs are astronaut anograms, we should seek a zone not on Norrath? Perhaps the astronauts are a clue to check the Plane of Sky... anyone try the monk quest NPCs already existing there?
#Anonymous, Posted: Oct 07 2000 at 5:43 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) very possible.
#Anonymous, Posted: Oct 07 2000 at 1:43 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) all i can say is, dont bet everything on anagrams, like someone posted already, if you read Qeynos backwards, you get SonyEq.... all im saying is, maybe those names dont have a meaning
#Anonymous, Posted: Oct 08 2000 at 3:43 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Very true... but its definitely worth a look. I dont get up to Plane of Sky much myself, which is why I posted the suggestion for others to try.

#Anonymous, Posted: Oct 06 2000 at 7:58 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) cured silk armor is player made stuff. you have to find a tailor to make it for you. your problaly going to have to bring him the materials too. they are rare. you need silk swatches and hiedi kiolia.
#Anonymous, Posted: Oct 05 2000 at 9:00 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) there was an iksar monk swimming in the middle of lava in lavalstorm i heard him say something about Celestial Fist and if you want to fight him come to the fires below. this is where the zones for Sol A and B are in the lava pit there he is an Iksar i have not fought him yet but will tommorrow. so i am not sure what he drops.
#Anonymous, Posted: Oct 06 2000 at 11:20 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Go to www.monkly-business.com they have more info there about tis mob and why is is there and how you get him to spawn. he is the fist of fire and there are 3 other fist after him air earth and water in that order. he drops a scale and you egive that to the next fist and that fist drops something you give to the next and after the last you fight a master. anyway I'm too lazy to type it all go there to find out.
