Call of the Forsaken Info & Guides: Overview | Progression & Task List | Raiding | Visible Armor This is a pre-launch event ahead of the "Argin-Hiz" zone release (an extension to the storyline involving the Call of the Forsaken expansion). It will be available July 4, 2014, through September 6, 2014 (at which time it will be permanently removed). This is a solo task that begins with Lanys T`Vyl in the Ethernere Tainted West Karana. She's found in the northeastern part of the zone in the same location as Lady Lendiniara. Pre-Requisites for Requesting: - None You say, 'Hail, Lanys T`Vyl' Lanys T`Vyl says 'You still do not trust me. I understand. Be wary of all things, but do not be foolish! We both can see that [doom] approaches.' You say, 'Doom?' Lanys T`Vyl says 'Even these simpletons that worship the dragon understand and have embraced my words. The Forsaken leads us into [darkness], and if we do not return the dragon to her world, Norrath will be swallowed in the night.' You say, 'Darkness?' Lanys T`Vyl says 'Yes, but we have the chance to stop it! You see this rent that has opened behind me and the ash that spews from it? Within I sense the final relic we need to perform the ceremony. The Forsaken, in a moment of unintentional coherence, has nearly confirmed it for me. We must [act].' You say, 'Act?' Lanys T`Vyl says 'A breach like this one has opened in South Ro. Eager as they are, I have already sent members of the Doomscale to seek answers. [Help] them discover what lies beyond these tears in space.' You say, 'How can I help?' Lanys T`Vyl says 'While the ash wind blows, we have time. Do not let your hatred overcome your reason.' Lanys T`Vyl says 'Why are you still standing here? Didn't I tell you to investigate South Ro?! And surely the ash will eventually spread to North Ro as well. You could learn a few things about obedience and efficiency from these Doomscale fellows!' You have been assigned the task 'Source of the Ash Wind'. Lanys T`Vyl believes the final piece needed to send Lady Lendiniara back to her world lies behind the new portals that have formed in the Ethernere Tainted West Karana and South Ro. She has asked you to speak to the Doomscale scouts she sent to South Ro and to investigate the portal. Lanys will want to see a piece of ash and an ember that have been analyzed by the Doomscale scouts. She will also need a pile of ash. Deliver an analyzed piece of ash to Lanys 0/1 (Ethernere Tainted West Karana) Deliver an analyzed ember to Lanys 0/1 (Ethernere Tainted West Karana) Deliver a pile of ash to Lanys 0/1 (Ethernere Tainted West Karana) The above items are rewarded from doing certain pre-launch tasks in South Ro. These tasks are: - Sifting Through the Ashes (a Doomscale scout - task reward item) - Embers of the Giants (a Doomscale scout - task reward item) - Still the Ash Hurricane (Guard Jepper - loot "Heart of the Ash Hurricane" from "Ash Hurricane") Speak with Lanys T`Vyl 0/1 (Ethernere Tainted West Karana) You say, 'Hail, Lanys T`Vyl' Lanys T`Vyl studies the embers and ashes you have given her. 'Living flame? The artifact surely lies beyond the tear. When the wind ceases, we shall enter. Ease your doubts; together we shall save Norrath!' Lanys T`Vyl says 'The signs must be true; the artifact is there. When the ash wind ceases, we must venture beyond the portals. Perhaps you are more useful than I first thought!'
