This part of Gates of Discord progression follows your completion of the Martyrs Passage quest (note that some elements of Kod'Taz progression can be completed outside of the order outlined here, which is but one path you can take).

Temple of the Damned

After you finished the "Martyrs Passage" quest, it became apparent there was a larger problem to address:

You say, 'Hail, Kevren Nalavat'

Kevren Nalavat says 'Hello again, _____. I've been studying the information you retrieved from the Martyrs Passage and I do believe we have a problem on our hands. Are you here to discuss the [problem] or looking for some [other tasks]? I have a moment if you want to talk a bit [more] about me. You're also more than welcome to attempt the trials again. If so, just let me know you're [ready to test] again and we'll proceed down that path. What'll it be, _____?'

You say, 'What's the problem?'

Kevren Nalavat says 'The problem is that this information reveals a most disturbing plot by the Muramites to summon a creature into this realm. They appear to be experts in teleportation. The parchment you returned to me described the use of the Temple of the Damned to gather instruments of power that will allow the beast to coalesce in our world. It doesn't go into what those instruments are or when the summoning will take place, so you must [discover their plans].'

You say, 'I will discover their plans...'

Kevren Nalavat says 'You must go into the Temple of the Damned. It is the temple directly behind me with the fog looming around it. Explore the temple and search for the instruments of power that the Legion of Mata Muram priests are collecting. Once you have the relics in hand, return them to me so I can study them further. Good luck to you, _____.'

Into the Temple

Head into the temple located just south of Kevren's location, and clear your way to "a pile of bones", a small object on the easternmost wall of the temple (/loc 680, -1520, -455).

When ready for a fight, /open it.

Pixtt Guardians

When you open the pile of bones, you are ambushed by 4x "Pixtt Priest Guardian" mobs (one aneuks; three ixts):

The bone pile crumbles and alerts the nearby Muramites that rush to ambush you!
Pixtt Priest Guardian says 'For the legion! I'll have your spine on my blade soon enough!'
Pixtt Priest Guardian says 'For the legion! This is our temple now, whelp!'
Pixtt Priest Guardian says 'For the legion! Your spirit will rest in my hands after I'm through!'

These mobs see invis, hit for a max ~1,300 each, and are stunnable/mezzable. "Pixtt Priest Summoner" also appears, but is non-aggro at this time.

Upon the death of the last guardian, the Summoner goes aggro:

Pixtt Priest Summoner says 'You worthless scum, you won't leave this temple alive!'
Pixtt Priest Summoner says 'You insolent fools! This temple belongs to the legion now!'

It hits for a max ~2,000 and is immune to all forms of crowd control. It drops one piece of loot:

Fleshbound Mask of Ire
Fleshbound Shroud of Aggression
Manacles of Impudence
Midnight Tippet of Recovery

Each Guardian drops 6x "Glyph of the Damned". If you're doing this quest, you need one from EACH guardian.

Glyphs of the Damned

Turn in the four Glyphs to Kevren Nalavat, one at a time. Don't turn in all 4 in one trade or he will eat all but the right one.:

Kevren Nalavat says '_____, you're back. Have you uncovered what the Muramite priests have been hoarding? Hmm, it appears not. Please, you must go into the Temple of the Damned behind me and search for those relics. Once you have them in hand, return them to me so I can study them further.'

Kevren examines the strange glyphs. 'These glyphs are faded. I won't be able to decipher them until they've been cleaned up. You'll need to go back to the Martyrs Passage and recover some dust from the grounds nearby. Once you've gotten a pile of dust, you'll need to speak with Tublik Narwethar who is south of the Martyrs Passage. He has a stone tablet that can add some clarity to the glyphs with the help of that dust. Hurry along, _____, this information is important!'

After you see the above dialogue, stop turning in glyph's or he will eat them.

You say, 'Give me a progress update'

Visit With Tublik Narwethar

Head to the far southwestern part of the zone where you'll find Tublik Narwethar (click for map image) at about /loc -2000, 1275, -348.

Tublik Narwethar will respond to hails according to what point you are in progression; there is no prompt for what you need to say here:

You say, 'I need a stone tablet'

Tublik Narwethar says 'You need a stone tablet? What for? What have you got that's so special it requires the use of a stone tablet?'

You say, 'It's for a Glyph of the Damned'

Tublik Narwethar says 'Ahh, you're looking to translate some glyphs, eh? You're in luck then, _____. I just happen to have a stone tablet available for you to use. I need to make sure you actually need it before I hand one out to you. Wouldn't want these getting into the wrong hands, you know. Show me one of the glyphs you need to translate and if I am satisfied with what I see, I'll let you have one.'

Hand him one of the Glyphs:

Tublik Narwethar says 'So, you really are helping Kevren with this. My apologies for being so blunt with the requirements, but you never can be too careful with things like this. Here's a stone tablet for your troubles. You're going to need to use as many piles of dust as you have glyphs, then combine the dust and the four glyphs together with the stone tablet to translate them. These glyphs can be tricky, so good luck.'

You receive "Stone Tablet" (8-slot container).

Head to Martyrs Passage (the pathway leading up to the Yxtta zonelines in the far southwest) and collect 4x "Pile of Dust" (ground spawns around the small tombs there - in between buildings and between rocks in the area against the mountain wall). Locations for your "kodtaz.txt" map file:

P -1061.4177, 1310.7788, -430.4366, 0, 127, 0, 1, Pile_of_Dust
P -1101.9500, 1505.3947, -430.4110, 0, 127, 0, 1, Pile_of_Dust
P -1107.1156, 1817.9287, -366.4206, 0, 127, 0, 1, Pile_of_Dust
P -1271.7611, 1805.7245, -366.4356, 0, 127, 0, 1, Pile_of_Dust
P -1106.7097, 1685.1929, -393.1496, 0, 127, 0, 1, Pile_of_Dust
P -1260.5509, 1627.0475, -407.6386, 0, 127, 0, 1, Pile_of_Dust

Combine the 4 dusts + 4 glyphs in the "Stone Tablet" to produce a "Translated Glyph of the Damned".

Glyph, Translated

Return to Kevren Nalavat...

You say, 'Hail, Kevren Nalavat'

Kevren Nalavat says 'Have you spoken with Tublik yet? Did he give you the stone tablet? What do you have to show for your trek to see him?'

...and hand in the Translated Glyph:

Kevren copies down the intricate patterns from the glyph. 'Very interesting, but very dangerous. I've gone over the glyphs and they suggest there is great danger in the summoning of some kind of ferocious beast. I need to study the markings further, but since I've transcribed them already, you can keep the glyph for your own use. Nicely done, _____.'

You receive a "Translated Glyph of the Damned" (expendable "Gate" spell one-time click).

You say, 'Give me a progress update'

Kevren Nalavat will eat your glyphs if you hand in all four. Hand in one at a time. He will hand each one back and say it is not interesting until you hand in the correct one. If you hand in all 4 at once he will eat 3 and give back one. After he gives you updated text telling you to go see Tublik Narwethar. Do not hand in any more glyphs he will eat them. I did the quest out of order so possibly I found a bug.
DO hand in Kevren all 4 Glyphs

Hand in all four at once. Twice now I've had problems with handing in one at a time, when the others in my group did all four and were fine.
