Full Walkthrough

Step One: Obtain the Orb of Frozen Water

Shmendrik Lavawalker can be found at loc (+3600, 0) in Lake Rathetear. He has a spawn timer of three hours.

You say, 'Hail, Shmendrik Lavawalker.'

Shmendrik Lavawalker says 'Hail, good [your name here] !! Be wary near the waters of Lake Rathe! The Riptide goblin king, Lord Bergurgle has been commanding his minions to murder and rob all who come near it! I am here seeking his death but I am afraid I am no match for all of his subjects. I shall reward you greatly for the death of Lord Bergurgle. I simply ask that you bring me his crown as proof.'

Seek out Lord Bergurgle (loc 2800, 150 in underwater cave). He is a Cleric, and a rare spawn on a 28 minute PH spawn timer.

  • Kill him and loot Lord Bergurgle's Crown

  • Take the crown to Shmendrik Lavawalker

Shmendrik cannot be attacked until someone hands him Lord Bergurgle's Crown.

Only someone that has handed Lord Bergurgle's Crown to Shmendrik can loot the Damaged Goblin Crown from the spirit of flame.

Shmendrik Lavawalker shoves the crown into a scorch marked leather satchel and cackles uncontrollably as madness twists his features and flames dance in his eyes. You have reduced the Riptides into chaos! Without a king to keep them in control they will ravage the settlements surrounding this lake! After the slaughter I shall return and easily burn the remainder of the villages and fishing shanties to the ground! None shall escape the fires of the Tyrant!!'

  • You'll receive Oil of Fennin Ro in exchange for the crown

Natasha Whitewater spawns in a hut nearby and walks out.

Natasha Whitewater shouts, 'The Triumvirate of Water has decreed your fate, Shmendrik Lavawalker!! I am here to deliver said fate!!'

Shmendrik Lavawalker says, 'I'll slay you like I slaughtered your fellow missionaries! The Triumvirate can not decide the fate of a follower of the Tyrant!!'

Natasha Whitewater says, 'Enough!! Your existence has come to an end!'

Natasha Whitewater says, 'This conflict has been destined by the waters of the Triumvirate!'

Most of the time Natasha cannot be attacked. She can only be fought when she engages with Shmendrik.

  • Kill Shmendrik Lavawalker

Upon Shmendrik Lavawalker's death The Spirit of Flame spawns and attacks Natasha Whitewalker. It is a Warrior, and 40th level. It has no special attacks.

  • Kill the Spirit of Flame before it kills Natasha Whitewalker or else you'll have to get another crown to start this event again

Only someone that has handed Lord Bergurgle's Crown to Shmendrik can loot the Damaged Goblin Crown from the spirit of flame.

  • Loot the Damaged Goblin Crown from The Spirit Flame

    You say, 'Hail, Natasha Whitewater.'

Natasha Whitewater says 'The Riptide goblins must have their crown returned to them. If you would be so kind as to give me the crown I will make sure that it reaches them. Hopefully they are capable enough to repair the damage that has been done to it.'

  • Give her the Damaged Goblin Crown.

Natasha Whitewater says 'I will have this crown returned to the Riptide Goblins immediately! Should you ever come across an Erudite named Omat Vastsea, give him this sea shell. The waters of Norrath shimmer with awareness of your deeds here today!'

  • Receive an Ornate Sea Shell (Item Lore: Ornate Sea Shell I).

Head to the paradise area of Timorous Deep and find Omat Vastsea (loc -11565, -2235; cave entrance loc -11530, -3728).

    You say, 'Hail, Omat Vastsea.'

Omat Vastsea bows deeply. 'I have been expecting you. The waters have foretold your arrival. I am High Priest Omat Vastsea of the Triumvirate missionaries. Please feel free to enjoy the quiet solitude of this inn.'

You say, 'Who are the Triumvirate?'

Omat Vastsea says 'The Triumvirate of Water are: E'ci, the mistress of ice; Tarew Marr, the lord of water; and Povar, the formless master of vapor and mist. We Triumvirate missionaries are granted great divinatory powers and wisdom through our devotion to the Triumvirate and must defend the waters of Norrath from the ravages of the Tyrant of Fire, Fennin Ro.'

You say, 'Who is Fennin Ro?'

Omat Vastsea says 'The Tyrant of Fire, Fennin Ro, is the merciless lord of fire in all its forms. The rivalry between the tyrant and the Triumvirate is as old as the gods themselves and is an eternal battle. We witness the struggle every moment of our lives as the Oasis of Marr succumbs to the heat of the surrounding desert and is replenished by the swelling of the Lifire River. That fragile balance between the elements must be maintained but the Plasmatic Priesthood threatens that balance.'

You say, 'Who are the Plasmatic Priesthood?'

Omat Vastsea says 'The Plasmatic Priesthood are worshipers of the Tyrant of Fire, but they have been driven mad by their fanaticism and have forgotten the importance of the balance. In their madness they would set the whole world aflame, leaving nothing but lifeless ash.'

  • Hand him the Ornate Sea Shell.

Omat Vastsea says 'So, you are a friend of Natasha's? That is good to see. She is a very wise and gifted woman. The Riptide goblins have adopted a new king but are still in a vulnerable state until his subjects accept his rule. The Plasmatic Priesthood is aware of the weakened state of the Riptides and has convinced the Fire Peak goblins to strike against them. Although I do not agree with the mannerisms or actions of any goblin clan, such a war would be detrimental to all who are caught in its path. Lord Gimblox of the Fire Peak clan has been meeting with a member of the Plasmatic Priesthood in the Temple of Solusek Ro. Locate the Plasmatic Priest, hand him this statue to hinder his powers, then eliminate him and bring me his robe.'

  • Receive Coral Statue of Tarew Marr.

You must now head to the Temple of Solusek Ro. Take the Coral Statue to a seeker. He can be found at loc (+326, +38, +29). He spawns at 9 A.M. and despawns at 9 P.M. game time.

  • Upon giving him the statue, he will attack.

A seeker shakes violently as his hand closes on the coral statue and flames dance in the depths of his eyes! The statue begins to emit a reddish glow then shatters in a burst of fire and smoke! The flames in the plasmatic priest's eyes vanish with the explosion and only madness remains! 'The Triumvirate thinks that destroying my spirit of flame will stop me?!! I will kill you all now, the goblins will continue to war, and when my spirit is restored I will ensure that Ixiblat Fer consumes all of Norrath in his flames!!'

A Seeker will now change into a Plasmatic Priest and start attacking you. He is a 55th level Cleric with about 12k hitpoints. It is recommended you bring him to the zone or pull him out in the hallway so that any AE spells he casts do not aggro other NPCs.

  • Kill him and loot the Blood Soaked Plasmatic Robe.

Now head to Solusek's Eye and kill Lord Gimblox, loc (-796, -366). He is 30th level and a rare spawn on a 19 minute timer with PH.

  • Kill him and loot Lord Gimblox's Signet Ring.

Head back to Timorous Deep and see Omat Vastsea.

  • Give Omat Vastsea the Blood Soaked Plasmatic Robe.

Only someone that has handed Blood Soaked Plasmatic Priest Robe to Omat will receive the Ornate Sea Shell II when handing Lord Gimblox's Signet Ring to Natasha.

Omat Vastsea says, 'You have proven yourself to be one who is willing to take responsibility for his own actions. Such a trait is desired by all deities to be present in their faithful. I pray that you had the wisdom to slay Lord Gimblox as well as the Plasmatic Priest in order to prevent further advancement in the incursion against the Riptides. Priestess Natasha awaits inside the inn for Lord Gimblox's ring, make haste for she is a busy women and will depart soon.'

  • Receive Orb of Frozen Water.

  • Step Two: Obtain the Orb of Clear Water

After giving Omat Vastea the Plasmatic Robe, Natasha Whitewater will have spawned nearby

  • Give her Lord Gimblox's Ring.

Natasha Whitewater says, 'Thank you for your services thus far. The Triumvirate missionaries are, so far, impressed. However, there is yet another threat rising from the Plasmatic Priesthood that may have dire effects on all of Norrath if it is not stopped. An Iksar member of the Triumvirate missionaries has discovered that the Plasmatic Priesthood has somehow convinced the sarnak summoners of Chardok to assit them in summoning Ixilblat Fer to Norrath. Take this shell to Naxton Deepwater in the Burning Woods so that she knows I have sent you. We ask that you return with the Sceptre of Ixiblat Fer as well as evidence to show that the Plasmatic Priesthood is dealing with sarnaks. High Priest Omat will await your return. I Must depart now. I pray for your success.'

  • Receive Ornate Sea Shell (Item Lore: Ornate Sea Shell II).

Only someone that has handed Blood Soaked Plasmatic Priest Robe to Omat will receive the Ornate Sea Shell II when handing Lord Gimblox's Signet Ring to Natasha.

You must take this Sea Shell to Naxot Deepwater in the Burning Woods, loc (+3400, -2150).

    You say, 'Hail, Naxot Deepwater.'

Naxot Deepwater says, 'Beware these woods! The sarnak claim this land as their own and wicked creatures walk beneath the burning foliage.'

  • Give him Ornate Sea Shell. (Item Lore: Ornate Sea Shell II)

    Upon hand in.

Naxot Deepwater says, 'Praise the Triumvirate! Natasha sent you just in time! Those twisted sarnak summoners are summoning Ixiblat Fer as we speak! We must stop Ixiblat Fer while he is still weak or all of Norrath may be set aflame! Please do me one more favor, should I perish to this beast of fire. Give this note to Natasha when you next see her, and if you should perish and I survive, I will make sure the waters never forget your reflections of your deeds this day.'

  • Receive Message to Natasha.

Ixiblat Fir spawns at loc (-2000, +1500). He is a 62nd level gigantic Fire Elemental, and hits for 575 damage with about 32000 hit points in total. He also casts an AE fire spell for 300.

  • Kill Ixiblat Fir and loot the Sceptre of Ixiblat Fir.

Only someone that has handed Sceptre of Ixiblat Fer and Singed Scroll to Omat will receive the Shimmering Pearl when handing A Message to Natasha to Natasha.

You're now due in Chardok and need to kill Overking Bathezid. He is located deep in Chardok in the royals area. He is 63rd level and takes about two good groups to kill. He casts an AE spell for 500 and gates.

  • Loot a Singed Scroll off his corpse

    It reads:
'Greetings Overking Bathezid. The time has come for you to return the boon owed to me from so long ago. I have need of your most powerful summoners to bring Ixiblat Fer into the mortal realm and rain fire upon my enemies. Your old friend, Zordak Ragefire.'

  • Take the Singed Scroll and Sceptre of Ixiblat Fir to Omat Vastsea.

Omat Vastsea says, 'I commend you on your success over the fire elemental lord, Ixiblat Fer. The fact that the Plasmatic Priesthood has mustered up the power to summon such a being means drastic actions must be taken to stop the fanatic cult of Fennin Ro. I wonder what kind of favor Zordak Ragefire performed for the sarnak summoners to convince them to assist in the ritual that brought forth Ixiblat Fer. The dragon Iksar hybrid abominations are not beings who ally with others easily. All I have seen in my divinations of the High Plasmatic Priest are riddles, and signs that the one who slays him may be awarded an Orb of the Triumvirate. If you are the one whom my visions foretell, then seek Zordak Ragefire and bring me his heart.'

  • Receive the Orb of Clear Water.

  • Step Three: Obtain the Orb of Vapor

After giving Omat Vastsea the Scroll and Sceptre, Natasha Whitewater will spawn nearby. Give her the Message to Natasha.

Natasha Whitewater lowers her head in mourning and whispers a prayer. It is a shame that fate has decided one so young and from such a background should perish, but we must not attempt to change what was destined to be. Priestess Naxot sacrificed herself selflessly so that others may be spared the horrors Ixiblat would have brought to Norrath. May the waters of Norrath forever remember her reflection. I thank you for delivering Naxot's message to me and give you this pearl imbued with the power of the Triumvirate. Should you find Zordak Ragefire, speak with him before all else then hold this pearl before him. When the pearl begins to swirl its enchantment will have taken effect.'

    You gain experience!!

  • Receive a Shimmering Pearl.

  • Head to Nagafen's Lair and go to the fire giant castle. Zordak Ragefire can be found outside the castle at -1380, -350.

    You say, 'Hail, Zordak Ragefire.'

Zordak Ragefire stares at you with unblinking eyes. A wide grin crosses Zordak's face and flames flicker in the depths of his eyes. 'Welcome to the new fortress of the Plasmatic Priesthood! It's a shame about Lord Nagafen's untimely death, really it is! Such a powerful and noble creature should not perish at the hands of mortals.'

  • Give him the Shimmering Pearl, and receive a Swirling Pearl and Zordak's Box of Bindings in return.

  • Head to the Skyfire Mountains and talk to Warder Cecilia loc (+3000, -3200).

    You say, 'Hail, Warder Cecilia.'

Warder Cecilia says 'Greetings, you have made excellent time. We received word that Zordak was gathering his power here, and we still have little knowledge of his true intentions. Scattered throughout these mountains there are small Pearlescent Shards, binding four of these shards together within a Box of Binding should allow me to create a Seal. This seal, when fused with a Swirling Pearl inside Zordak's heart should allow our seers to divine his true intentions, even after he has been slain. Once you have the seal I will release Zordak, make haste I will not be able to hold him for long.'

  • Combine these fragments in Zordak's Box of Bindings to create an Assembled Pearlescent Shard

  • Give this shard to Warder Cecilia in exchange for a Pearlescent Seal

This also spawns a human version of Zordak Ragefire. He'll attack and needs to be killed. Immediately upon his death, the dragon version, Zordakalicus Ragefire spawns.

  • Kill Zordakalicus Ragefire and loot the Impure Heart of Zordak Ragefire

  • Combine the Swirling Pearl and Pearlescent Seal inside this container to create Heart of Zordak Ragefire.

Head back to the Timorous Deep and give the heart to Omat Vastsea.

Omat Vastsea says, 'I see now that Zordak Ragefire and the exiled elder dragon Zordakalicus were the same being. That explains how he resisted our attempts to divine his affairs and past. Each of these orbs I have granted you represents one of the Triumvirate. Jhassad Oceanson awaits on the shore below to perform the ritual that will merge the orbs into a single Orb of the Triumvirate and summon an avatar from the Plane of Water. Present the Orb of the Triumvirate to the Avatar of Water when it arrives and allow your destiny to be unraveled.'

Omat Vastsea will summon Jhassad Oceanson if hailed by a character in possession of the Orb of Vapor. He will summon the Avatar of Water if the character has the Orb of the Triumvirate. But he will not summon either if one of them is already around.

  • Receive the Orb of Vapor.

  • Step Four: Obtain the Orb of the Triumvirate

After turning in Zordak Ragefire's Heart, Jhassad Oceanson spawns nearby.

  • Give him the Orb of Frozen Water, Orb of Clear Water, and Orb of Vapor.

Jhassad Oceanson kneels in the sand and places the three orbs into a large abalone shell bowl. A blue glow surrounds his hands as he waves them over the orbs resting in the bowl. The orbs crack and fall apart, releasing their contents, then reform into a single glowing orb. Jhassad Oceanson gently removes the Orb of the Triumvirate and places it in your hands. 'The Avatar of Water approaches. You must hand him the Orb of the Triumvirate and it will be decided if it is your destiny to wield the Nem Ankh Sprinkler.'

  • Receive Orb of the Triumvirate.

  • Step Five: Obtain the Water Sprinkler of Nem Ankh

Upon turning the three orbs into Jhassad Oceanson, the Avatar of Water will spawn and walk out of the lake. It does not respond to hails, so you may have to chase it down.

  • Hand in the Orb of the Triumvirate and receive the Water Sprinkler of Nem Ankh.

Congratulations to Kerania von Krieger, the first to wield the Water Sprinkler of Nem Ankh!

    Mana Calculator
    # Feb 28 2002 at 7:58 PM Rating: Default
Can someone please explain to me the post-Luclin mana calcs? I am just high enough level that I need to start worrying about faction for the Velious-quest armors (among other things) and also soon I will have to start buying gobs of peridots. This means I will not have any money to waste on gear I don't need. One person I know says it is worthless to get my wisdom above 200. Others say I should aim for 255. So how does the new mana-calculator work, pre- and post-200 Wisdom? Any information on this would be severely appreciated.
    New Rage Spawn in SF
    # Feb 19 2002 at 8:56 AM Rating: Default
The new Zordak ragefire is a confirmed spawn 48 hours after server up. Zordaklicious is now a level 60 dragon, seems to have a haste-nulling effect but the fear component of the Dragon Roar is broken. Now drops the Impure Heart of Zordak Ragefire, a no drop container.

Just doing the first part, turning in crown, getting damaged crown, getting seashell, in Lake Rathetear I got about a third of a blue exp and the 54 in my group saw her experience bar move. I am assuming that the bigger the camp/farther along you get you'll get more exp.

    Money and Rezzing
    # Jan 27 2002 at 6:08 AM Rating: Good
Different people have different views on if they should charge for a rez or not.

I went through phases myself in my lower levels of asking and not asking. Normally you end up with more donations when not asking than when you say X PP to rez. Also, you make a better impression on people when you don't ask for money and this will help when you need assistance with your epic.

I now have my epic and would never think of asking for money but I usually accept donations. Many people helped me get my epic and I repay them by just rezzing them.

Cleric epic should be first priority for any young guild. When you have a wipeout of 30 plus people on a raid it is very nice to be able to rez everyone within a couple minutes to get back on track fast.

At the lower levels, all casters have trouble with money, especially clerics with their use of gems for symbols. When looting, try to make sure casters are getting their fair share and be sure the cleric gets enough extra to cover their costs of symbols.

If you want to donate to a cleric for a rez, give them some peridots. Clerics always need more and because we wear plate armor and don't have much strength, money gets pretty heavy for us.

For the question about MQing this. Well, it might work and it might not. There is risk involved in this. Safer to go camp the mob yourself and be sure its all done properly and get your epic.

This is the most beneficial and informative post on the cleric epic I've ever seen. The Cleric epic walk throughs have always been wrote weird, makeing it confuseing exactly what to do in the deepest parts of the epics, little things like what to do with note to natasha, now I know. Why the cleric epic isnt updated to simplified text like that is beyond me =)

    MQ Orb Portion?
    # Jan 23 2002 at 2:23 PM Rating: Default
Has anyone ever tried to MQ the orb portion of this quest? With the recent changes to Ragefire I have a problem in that the Signet Ring from Grimlox is on a friends character and we were going to MQ this portion and have him get the pearl to turn in to get Ragefire to respawn and I would loot the heart (originally). Now you need to put the pearl in the heart to get the heart so he would end up getting one of my orbs. So is it possible for him to turn in his orb and me my 2 and still have it work? If not its back to Grimlox. Thanks for any assistance.

Yes the Orbs are Multiable, I finally got to this portion of my epic, and it worked without a flaw.

Just make sure the orb not on the cleric is turned in first.

I posted on the 11th of Feb and after 6 weeks can finally answer this question.

i've try to do this part yesterday but it turn bad.

me and 3 other lvl 50+ was there and i give the crown to the guy, the lady spanw and killed the guy and that element spawn.

for some reason, the element start attacking natasha and we start to cast, 4 of us have cast 2 spell on the element each BUT the fatal hit had been done by natasha.

because natasha kill the element, the element just pop out the same way a regular guard will kill a rat, the rat will pop out.

so. because of that i could'n loot the domaged crown. :(

so now i need to camp the lord in the lake again.. :(

what i'm asking is: is it normal that the element agrooed on natasha or look like a simple sad bug, please tell me if you seen that when you've done it guy's.

I killed Schmendrik first just to be safe. I had a necro friend with me when I turned in the crown. We were about to kill the resulting spirit of flame and OOPS, necro had Natasha targetted when he cast darkness, lol. He ran for the zone leaving me to solo the flame. Wasn't really that hard surprisingly. I was only 49 at the time. After killing the flame, I was still able to hand in the crown to Natasha. She did not chase the necro far. Necro could have killed her, but I needed her alive.

I had to redo this part too. Let me tell you how stupid I was so no one else makes the same mistakes.
    1. I camped begurgle with my necro, and looted the crown with my necro, with my cleric on the samw account. I firgured I could turn it in, kill the elemental, and log on my cleric immidiatly to finish that step, it doesn't work like that. This is how I got my cleric Jboots, but it didn't work with this step of the epic.
    2. My cleric was only level 42, whick might be a factor in the quest working (unconfirmed). Some epics, such as the rogue epic and others, requires you to be atleast 51, this may be the case with the cleric epic.
    3. I didn't kill Schmendrik to get the turn in piece first, it is a must that you do this.

Bottom line, if you use another character to camp Bergurgle, have your cleric ready to loot it once you kill him. Wait til you are atleast 51 to do this step, for safe messures. Make sure you kill Schmendrik before turning in the crown. When I tried this the first time, Natasha killed the elemental and despawned, and I was left there with nothing except disappointment. I did it right the second time as mentioned above, and it worked fine. Final tip: When doing this quest, ALWAYS have every epic item on you, no matter what. A cleric the other day turned in the singed scroll and scpetor of ixi and didn't have his note to Natasha on him, and he had to do the begining of his epic over again. Lame mistakes = time wasted. Do it right the first time :)

I had to redo this bit myself because I did not have a free slot when i handed the damaged crown to Natasha.

What I discovered is that when the Fire element spawns it attacks the Closest NPC or PC indescriminately.

    - First time i did it, I let natasha solo Schmendrik Lavawalker and the fire element attacked her, Second time I made sure i was standing right next to the Schmendrik Lavawalker when he died and the elemental attacked me instead of natasha. She did not agro the Elemental during the fight so I was able to kill it in peace :)

So get in there and help melee Schmendrik Lavawalker and make sure you are closer to him than natasha when the fire elemental spawns and you should have no problems

    hello guys

i play a lev 54 cleric and also have a 45 mage and as far as looting goes yes we casters get the bums rush there, so what i do now with my mage is when ever i am grped with a cleric i do one of 2 things 1: i try to always carry some dots and will hand the cleric a few to help him with the cost or 2: will do what i call tipping the cleric and i make it known to the grp i have done this to encourage them to do the same, basically i look at the loot i have gotten and give the cleric some of it , at lev 14 at orc hwy in oasis i would tip the clerics 10pp , as he is only using blood stone at that lev and 10pp will buy a stack or 2 and i just give more and more as i lev , in a good loot place and in a good grp i have tipped the cleric as much as 100pp before, but playing one i guess i know how they feel , when a normal player grps and gets loot he can look at the amount he got and say woot i made a 100pp today but a cleric has to look at that 100pp and say ok 60 of it has to replace the stones i used so i made 40pp today, i also do not charge for resses , and most of the time i even refuse donations depending on the situtation, if i am grped and get a ress request i first ask grp if they mind if i do it and if the person donates i accept that and do a /split with my grp for their time they wait for me to get more mana again ( now at lev 54 a ress doesnt seem to slow my grp down at all ) but again we are all here for fun , exp , and loot so i feel take care of the cleric and they will always take care of u and u wont believe how many clerics will say " if u ever need a ress call me and it is free" when u tip them they dont forget u :)

so guys take care of your clerics and they will take care of u , what is a few pp to u to make a clerics life a bit easyer, and again they will remember u if u r ever in need , one good turn deserves another

Thank you all for responding so kindly and not flaming me. I know I would be grateful to anyone who "tipped" me with either gems or pp, and I would remember them. I think the main reason for my gripe here though was something somewhat different....let me explain.

Being a lvl 45 cleric, I'm in a tough spot. Too little for the big stuff, and too big for the little stuff. I don't even look forward to lvl 47...cause even though you can go to the planes then, if you don't have a 90% rezz or a click stick (which is pretty hard to get), no one really wants you, so you don't get chosen for the raids.

So, I've been struggling to find a group and get some experience and cash. I've been getting really frustrated, not playing as much, and taking it out on my wonderful guild mates to some extent. When I saw the post about charging for rezzes, I probably took it more personally than I should have....so thanks for all your responses.

As a 50 Ranger I always carry a stack of stones ... and when I ask a cleric who I'm not grouped with for a symbol, I give them two stones ... one for me and one for them as a tip. Seems to work.

    Plasmatic Priest Strategy
    # Jan 16 2002 at 10:04 AM Rating: Decent
I'm getting ready to help a cleric friend with the PP part of the epic. As he is unguilded, and since a single group from my guild tried once and got destroyed, we're forming another party. Anyone able to point me to good strategies for taking this guy down? I have some consistent info and some that seem to vary.

Consistent is basically get the guy to the zone line so his AE doesn't aggro the zone on him. Have good healing support and be able to deal alot of damage quickly to counter CH (deal lots of damage, what a concept, eh? :) )

Less consistent are fight strategies. Some say chain stun, while others say he cannot be stunned. We're probably looking at one or two parties of rangers, warriors, clerics and a chanter or two. Levels 50-54. Strategies appreciated.

Even if a mob cannot be stunned, a stun spell has a chance of interrupting casting. This strategy is usually used with dragons like Vox which cannot be stunned, but can be interrupted by stun spells. So, even if he doesn't stop attacking, stun him anyway to keep him from healing.

I feel horrible as I know people are here looking for hints to help them along with the cleric epic. Well being only lvl 45, I haven't even started it. However, when i saw this thread, I just had to post.

I'm a DE cleric on the Povar server, who just made lvl 45 last night...this is my first character, so I feel it's quite an accomplishment. Anyway, I just spent all the money I had in the bank to buy some items to get my wis over 200 (so I'm a more valuable asset to a group and my wonderful guild).

I have just recently started charging for rezzes(25pp considering I have only a 50% rezz), and the reason I do this is because of peridots and spells. Also, I do the follow up heal...I don't just rezz, get my cash, and bolt. To clarify, I don't charge group members, guild members, or friends, or enchanters (I trade them a rezz for clarity). I don't know what the cost would be for someone with more Cha...but with only 60 charisma, the peridots are 240pp a stack. I have enough money to buy ONE stack right now...and I see no way of making a whole lot of money other than going to Rathe Mtns for hours and hunting Hill Giants, which takes time.

Being a full-time student, a full-time employee, and a full-time fiance doesn't leave me alot of time, so I go to dungeons where people die alot...i.e. SolB and I rezz for 25pp. I don't think it's unfair, or un-cleric like. Actually if you want to get right down to it...if I were actually roleplaying my DE...I'd either never rezz (unless it benefited me) or rob people (charge outrageous amounts) for rezzes.

So next time you ask a cleric for a rezz and he/she replies "I will for a small donation", try and be a bit more understanding. Because unless you've played a un-twinked cleric from lvl 1 to lvl 60, you don't know what they go through.

    Just my 2 cp's. =)

Have a great day, and see you all in Norrath

I have played an untwinked cleric (even my gear now is not the greatest) up to lvl 57 and have never charged anyone for a rez - nor have I accepted a donation. I have even gone out of my way, sometimes over an hour of my time, to do a rez for someone I don't know. I don't see a point in charging someone to do something that really doesn't cost anything to you but a little mana and maybe some time. If I am asked for a rez and I am not busy or if it is close, then I do it. If I can't then I tell them that normally I would - but <insert reason here>. I do not have a lot of PP in the bank and most of the gear I have I fought for. I have never understood why anyone charges for anything. The astonishment and appreciation of someone who asks how much or just puts 100pp in the trade window, only to be told - "No Charge" or "Jayare has cancelled the trade." is reward enough. The only thing I have ever accepted from people are peridots - and even then I turn around and symbol them with it. If you need money then go out and kill for it. Those same people that you have gone out of your way to help will be more than happy to group with you any time.

As a 49 cleric myself I think there is a happy medium, I will rez almost anyone that is in the same zone as me and can get the body to me for free or if they decide to donate then great "thnx I am broke" is my response.... But if I have to move from one zone to another and then go the this place I will ask for pp and hehe I am broke so somtimes I have my price. But to say that you always rez for free is kinda bad then peolpe want to take advantage of ya.. But on the plus side I have had people give me great gifts because I rezd them a few times without ever asking for pp.

I dont know works for me and it might work for others.

Im a lvl 49 cleric and I just got my 90% rez spell, I needed to make some money so I was rezing for donations. I didn't have enough money to buy the rest of my spells. I have always had a problem with not haveing any money. I try and loot when I could but I had to sit and med and I would miss out on a lot of loot and cash. Then on top of that some of the people I have grouped with would have auto-split off I would ask them to turn it on but that just made them mad. So I decided to to rez for donations and then another cleric shouts that he was Rezzing for Free so that cut into my chance to make some money. I was hoping to find out what other cleric do when it comes to rezzing? Do you do it for free or do u ask for a donation or a set price? In my oppinion it is the best way for a cleric to make up for all the times she missed out on looting. I have had to pay for a rez before and I didn't have a problem with it I was very happy to get the rez. I have had to pay for ports and sometimes even donated for clarity. I would never take a donation if the person died in my group or is in my guild or my friends list. Please if someone can give me there oppinions that would be great.

    Hey,

I read a bunch of the replies about rezzing for free and all that stuff, and not getting to loot. I play a cleric (only level 47 atm) on Vallon and I miss out on ungodly amounts of PP, especially in Lguk due to tanks looting and not /split before they leave, etc. If I say something though, they kinda tend to want to do an alpha order, which still sucks, for me to get up, walk to the mob, loot it, destroy the dumb stuff w/ my natural lagginess, I miss out on valuable med time, especially when tanks think 15 mana is good enough to pull 3 mobs :-). So yes, when I am 49 I will be charging for rezzes to non-friend, non-grouped, non-guilded folks. Bottom line, and most people will offer you the money anyhow, I get offered money on occasion for my 39 rez and don't feel a bit guilty for taking it. Alot of established players start newbie clerics and twink them up, so money isnt much of an issue, but for a person w/o an alternate cash source (and if you keep losing the FBSS roll) then charging for rezzes is more than ok, its what you should do in my opinion. Most clerics seem to help in really bad situations for free anyhow, so charging for rezzes really isnt too selfish if you think about it.

    # Jan 03 2002 at 6:10 PM Rating: Decent
I am not a cleric. But let me tell you about Looting. When I start and run a group it is very simple, You follow loot rules that are fair to everyone in the group or I kick you out. If you are playing in groups where people are not sharing the loot then you need to find another group. Cleric is probably the #1 needed character in the game. No cleric means multiple deaths unless you are pulling only light and Dark Blue MOBs. Having a cleric means you can pull tougher MOBs and more of them ..Thusly better XP and Loot. Assuming everyone in the group is contributing to the battles then everyone in the group deserves an even split of the loot.

I use 3 methods depending on where we are fighting and what the loot tables are.

First we may Master loot with autosplit on. My wife plays a cleric and we both start any expidition with no money. After the day is done I sell all and compare how much money I have to how much she has and Split all the extra I have with the group. This is probably the fairest group split you can do ...Only problem of course is you either have to trust 2 group members to be honest or you have to have a partner playing in your own house.

Second you can Alpha Loot with Auto split off. Pretty simple here. Start with the player who's name starts with the letter closest to A and then rotate through the group in alphabetical order.

Last and least used. If you are in an area where the loot drops a normal and specific thing. I will use South karana at the Gnoll spires as an example. When killing the Gnolls the normal loot rules on Drinal are Loot till you get 4PP or a Fine Steel Weapon and then pass to the next person. Again in alphabetical order.

If the groups your getting into do not loot in one of these 3 ways ( or something similar ) Then I would drop them like a hot potato!

OK 1 more thing. When we go to do a REZ we never ask for anything. If the person donates, it is appreciated, but when asked "how Much" the answer is always "We never ask a price.. You may donate if you wish ..And whatever you would like..But it is not necessary". We have made many fast and true friends in this manner and are never lacking for invites to a group.

My main is a Druid and I follow the same principles in Gating people. I will gladly do Mercy gates(CR) for free and never ask a price for any gate. If you wish to donate I wil accept it but it is not necessary.

One last thing. This is the premise of our Guild. We live for and on Guard duty to help others on Drinal server. Our Motto Is:

THIS IS WHAT WE DO !

    Bailinrue Woodswalker
    45th Season Battle Druid
    Guild Recruitment Officer
    Soldiers Of Blood

P.S. I know that was more than 1 more thing )

If in Need you may always call on the Soldiers Of Blood!

I am one of those clerics that rez for free as that is the nature of the cleric I am playing. And yes I am frequently very poor and others are in disbelief that my personal Items are so poor in quality. But I believe in the long run the benefits of being liberal with the rez in certain instances will be rewarded. My best advice is to find groupmates that understand the concept of having to constantly med and thus lose out on the loot. Clerics are not the only ones in this situation either. Enchanters and other assisting type meditators are all experiencing these problems. Yet as you find group mates that learn to realize the benefits you are supplying them, they learn quickly to start an alternate form of looting rather than ffa. Perhaps even you could begin to teach them of your value by smply leaving when another person is looking for a cleric and informing the group you are leaving that perhaps the new group will be more conciderate of the medding classes. And ask the enchanter who is also poor to come along. Umm, amazing how attitudes can change. Sure they can get very angry, but their behavior follows them just as much as your generousity follows you. Eventually ML comes into play and everyone gets relaltively equal amounts of loot.

OK, this is a rant. I apologize in advance.

Morell Thule is very bad about Warriors looting EVERYTHING. Some say it is habit they right click by accident. Isn’t this a rude habit? Can’t they use the “/split 18” to give the other people in the group a few plat to make up for this? Do they ever do this? In a year and 45 levels, they have split it back 4 times.

I put up with it once, no problem. After all, crap happens. After a few excuses like that, I say good-bye and gate out. I am a wizard so normally I am the owner of the group. I ported many of the group there and I keep the ownership because it is easier to do than start over. When I leave, it is a big pain and everyone has to regroup. Because of all the trouble, it has to be bad before I will leave. However, I will leave if I get mad. Many times they will regroup and invite me but not the offender.

My only other way of making money is teleporting. I hate this. Sit in the zone and shout over and over, “Who wants a ride 10pp each.” Wait for someone to come. Hope to get more PCs for all the trouble. Have the person ask, “When we leaving?” only seconds after being invited. This does get MUCH better with translocation. I don’t have to move an inch.

LOL. But that makes it easier for the newbies to find you when you TL. You don’t think TPing for money is Trouble? When you shout anything that has a “pp” in it, every newbie in the house writes your name down. Then every newbie in a three-zone area knows you are a wizard and have port, bind & plat. Now they want all three so they can get great exp. and stuff from Zone So-In-So. A place right next to another city, but they could not start a character in THAT city. NOOOOO!

What is the moral of my story? Please let the casters loot. I will even say it in easy to understand newbie speech.

    PLZ.

The walkthrough says that Natasha won't attack the "Spirit of Flame" but when I did the quest, she went full-tilt boogie after him. Might be a bug...so I killed Lavawalker then the Spirit so I wouldn't have to worry about it....also, I made sure that before I did it, there were no others in the zone that would have to wait the three hours until Lavawalker popped again...

    Just an FYI :)

There are two errors in the Cleric Epic, two minor ones but still. The seeker, aka Prismatic Priest, he does not have 3k HP like this walkthrough says. I would presume about 7 or 8 I would guess, just a guess tho, but I know he has ALOT more than 3k. The next is just something to watch out for. After you turn the "blood soaked prismatic priest robe" to Omat Vastsea in TD he'll return you an item. He says to imediately turn in Lord Gimblox's ring to Natasha Whitewater who spawns in the Inn near Omat after turning in the robe. Well he really means it, When I hit that part of the quest I had killed the seeker and then headed to TD to turn it in to Omat then I was planning on heading to Sol A for the Lord Gimblox's ring, I spent all day camping it and I came back to TD to turn it in to Natasha Whitewater, but she had despawned >:^( Which sux, so just be sure to Have the ring and the robe with you and when you turn in the robe to Omat be sure to turn in the ring to Natasha right away or she'll despawn, not sure on how long she'll stay there tho. Hi all,

I'm a 51 Cleric on Brell. A few words about soloing: From level 43 to level 46 I soloed spectres in the Feerrott. Piece of cake! And from level 47 to 50 I did the exe room in Lower Guk. I had a 50 Pally who would help me to break the room, then I soloed it straight for 8 hrs. Piece of cake. I even had time to do a a occasional rez. Well... then I went to velks labyrinth. And to my surprise I was able to solo a spider there. I dunno about the levels past 51 but up to 51 a Cleric has no problems to solo stuff. Anyone stating something else is just a poor Cleric. Period.

    To Superman the soloing cleric,

Clerics solo very poorly. Clerics have no melee skills and must rely on inefficient spells to kill the mob. All it takes for a dead cleric is for something unplanned to happen - ie, trying to solo 2 mobs instead of 1. It is also a long time inbetween mobs as the cleric has to med for a long time to recover from the mana lost casting inefficient spells. And this is way to boring for me. So yes clerics have problems soloing things. This being the case, clerics choose not to kill low blues and then med for 5 minutes to recover enough mana to kill another low blue.
    RE: Clerics can't solo? BS!
    # Sep 20 2001 at 3:04 AM Rating: Default
Sorry, I have to disagree with you. I soloed the skelly shack very easily in Lake of ill Omen. Plenty of manna left over. I group with friends, don't get me wrong. I like to group. There are times when the situation is right and you can solo quite easily. I then soloed Koblolds later in SolB, two at a time. That took my manna though, so I tried to make it one, but at times that was difficult, and fianlly I soloed the Dreadlands very easily from 46 to 50. I pull them to the wall and kill them there. Nothing around to aggro. I usually used up around 50% of my manna, but with clarity, was up in no time. So there are situations where you can do it. If anyone wants some pretty good exp, solo the undead ruins in Dreadlands. It's just a little more dangerous because you are out in the open a bit. Just be careful. You can always zone out the tunnel leading to FV.

I just did this part last night, was WAY easier than what I thought it would be. I had a 55 paly tank him, had a shamy slow him, 2 rogues BSing him, a monk kickin his butt, and another paly, and that was over kill. He didnt get any of my party (7 to include me) below one health bub. Heres what I did exactly:

Buff party at entrance to Temple, I mean RIGHT at the entrance.

Turn in statue, and run like hell back to entrance

Watch your party beat him dowm, throw and occasional nuke for fun.

Be aware, he does cast complere heal on himself, which he did once, but it was no big deal, this guy was a joke, one group can do this np. Cast stuns when he gets low on HP and you wont have to worry about that. Runs at the end of the fight, which is no big deal either. Hope this helps

Regarding the enchanter epic mentioned in an earlier post:

I play a monk. We have one enchanter in our guild who has her epic. When we go on raids, every melee type gets Speed of Shissar saving a tremendous amount of mana for mezzing and clarity. Perhaps a mez effect of some kind or a clarity would be more useful, but don't knock that haste. It really comes in handy. When it wears off in a raid, I just type "/tell meyusa Shissar, please" and 2 seconds later I am re-hasted. It makes a tremendous difference.

Any cleric that says this item is a poor item or doesnt have a good enough effect is, in my hummble opinion a poor cleric. I know of one person who has it, when not raiding, he travels the world handing out rez to all who ask (time and distance permitting).

For those of you that have not seen one, it looks like a ball and chain connected to a small handle.

Regards to the group/solo issue, if you are a cleric above 25 then start getting a list of reliable friends, you will need them to complete this quest and others that you will need to do to get some decent cleric gear (Donal's, Cleric Quest armour, and Planer).

Be a friend to all and you will get a good name on your server, and people will know that you are there to help and will understand when you tell them sorry friend, im in a group and cant leave, I will group with yu later ok...

I intend to follow the path of the perosn i know with the sprinkler and travel the world rezing after i finish this quest.

Last thought is to not froget that you where a newbie once looking for a rez or a bind or a buff.

Its only mana, you can always get more.
