Full Walkthrough

Step One: Obtain the Orb of Frozen Water

Shmendrik Lavawalker can be found at loc (+3600, 0) in Lake Rathetear. He has a spawn timer of three hours.

You say, 'Hail, Shmendrik Lavawalker.'

Shmendrik Lavawalker says 'Hail, good [your name here] !! Be wary near the waters of Lake Rathe! The Riptide goblin king, Lord Bergurgle has been commanding his minions to murder and rob all who come near it! I am here seeking his death but I am afraid I am no match for all of his subjects. I shall reward you greatly for the death of Lord Bergurgle. I simply ask that you bring me his crown as proof.'

Seek out Lord Bergurgle (loc 2800, 150 in underwater cave). He is a Cleric, and a rare spawn on a 28 minute PH spawn timer.

  • Kill him and loot Lord Bergurgle's Crown

  • Take the crown to Shmendrik Lavawalker

Shmendrik cannot be attacked until someone hands him Lord Bergurgle's Crown.

Only someone that has handed Lord Bergurgle's Crown to Shmendrik can loot the Damaged Goblin Crown from the spirit of flame.

Shmendrik Lavawalker shoves the crown into a scorch marked leather satchel and cackles uncontrollably as madness twists his features and flames dance in his eyes. You have reduced the Riptides into chaos! Without a king to keep them in control they will ravage the settlements surrounding this lake! After the slaughter I shall return and easily burn the remainder of the villages and fishing shanties to the ground! None shall escape the fires of the Tyrant!!'

  • You'll receive Oil of Fennin Ro in exchange for the crown

Natasha Whitewater spawns in a hut nearby and walks out.

Natasha Whitewater shouts, 'The Triumvirate of Water has decreed your fate, Shmendrik Lavawalker!! I am here to deliver said fate!!'

Shmendrik Lavawalker says, 'I'll slay you like I slaughtered your fellow missionaries! The Triumvirate can not decide the fate of a follower of the Tyrant!!'

Natasha Whitewater says, 'Enough!! Your existence has come to an end!'

Natasha Whitewater says, 'This conflict has been destined by the waters of the Triumvirate!'

Most of the time Natasha cannot be attacked. She can only be fought when she engages with Shmendrik.

  • Kill Shmendrik Lavawalker

Upon Shmendrik Lavawalker's death The Spirit of Flame spawns and attacks Natasha Whitewalker. It is a Warrior, and 40th level. It has no special attacks.

  • Kill the Spirit of Flame before it kills Natasha Whitewalker or else you'll have to get another crown to start this event again

Only someone that has handed Lord Bergurgle's Crown to Shmendrik can loot the Damaged Goblin Crown from the spirit of flame.

  • Loot the Damaged Goblin Crown from The Spirit Flame

    You say, 'Hail, Natasha Whitewater.'

Natasha Whitewater says 'The Riptide goblins must have their crown returned to them. If you would be so kind as to give me the crown I will make sure that it reaches them. Hopefully they are capable enough to repair the damage that has been done to it.'

  • Give her the Damaged Goblin Crown.

Natasha Whitewater says 'I will have this crown returned to the Riptide Goblins immediately! Should you ever come across an Erudite named Omat Vastsea, give him this sea shell. The waters of Norrath shimmer with awareness of your deeds here today!'

  • Receive an Ornate Sea Shell (Item Lore: Ornate Sea Shell I).

Head to the paradise area of Timorous Deep and find Omat Vastsea (loc -11565, -2235; cave entrance loc -11530, -3728).

    You say, 'Hail, Omat Vastsea.'

Omat Vastsea bows deeply. 'I have been expecting you. The waters have foretold your arrival. I am High Priest Omat Vastsea of the Triumvirate missionaries. Please feel free to enjoy the quiet solitude of this inn.'

You say, 'Who are the Triumvirate?'

Omat Vastsea says 'The Triumvirate of Water are: E'ci, the mistress of ice; Tarew Marr, the lord of water; and Povar, the formless master of vapor and mist. We Triumvirate missionaries are granted great divinatory powers and wisdom through our devotion to the Triumvirate and must defend the waters of Norrath from the ravages of the Tyrant of Fire, Fennin Ro.'

You say, 'Who is Fennin Ro?'

Omat Vastsea says 'The Tyrant of Fire, Fennin Ro, is the merciless lord of fire in all its forms. The rivalry between the tyrant and the Triumvirate is as old as the gods themselves and is an eternal battle. We witness the struggle every moment of our lives as the Oasis of Marr succumbs to the heat of the surrounding desert and is replenished by the swelling of the Lifire River. That fragile balance between the elements must be maintained but the Plasmatic Priesthood threatens that balance.'

You say, 'Who are the Plasmatic Priesthood?'

Omat Vastsea says 'The Plasmatic Priesthood are worshipers of the Tyrant of Fire, but they have been driven mad by their fanaticism and have forgotten the importance of the balance. In their madness they would set the whole world aflame, leaving nothing but lifeless ash.'

  • Hand him the Ornate Sea Shell.

Omat Vastsea says 'So, you are a friend of Natasha's? That is good to see. She is a very wise and gifted woman. The Riptide goblins have adopted a new king but are still in a vulnerable state until his subjects accept his rule. The Plasmatic Priesthood is aware of the weakened state of the Riptides and has convinced the Fire Peak goblins to strike against them. Although I do not agree with the mannerisms or actions of any goblin clan, such a war would be detrimental to all who are caught in its path. Lord Gimblox of the Fire Peak clan has been meeting with a member of the Plasmatic Priesthood in the Temple of Solusek Ro. Locate the Plasmatic Priest, hand him this statue to hinder his powers, then eliminate him and bring me his robe.'

  • Receive Coral Statue of Tarew Marr.

You must now head to the Temple of Solusek Ro. Take the Coral Statue to a seeker. He can be found at loc (+326, +38, +29). He spawns at 9 A.M. and despawns at 9 P.M. game time.

  • Upon giving him the statue, he will attack.

A seeker shakes violently as his hand closes on the coral statue and flames dance in the depths of his eyes! The statue begins to emit a reddish glow then shatters in a burst of fire and smoke! The flames in the plasmatic priest's eyes vanish with the explosion and only madness remains! 'The Triumvirate thinks that destroying my spirit of flame will stop me?!! I will kill you all now, the goblins will continue to war, and when my spirit is restored I will ensure that Ixiblat Fer consumes all of Norrath in his flames!!'

A Seeker will now change into a Plasmatic Priest and start attacking you. He is a 55th level Cleric with about 12k hitpoints. It is recommended you bring him to the zone or pull him out in the hallway so that any AE spells he casts do not aggro other NPCs.

  • Kill him and loot the Blood Soaked Plasmatic Robe.

Now head to Solusek's Eye and kill Lord Gimblox, loc (-796, -366). He is 30th level and a rare spawn on a 19 minute timer with PH.

  • Kill him and loot Lord Gimblox's Signet Ring.

Head back to Timorous Deep and see Omat Vastsea.

  • Give Omat Vastsea the Blood Soaked Plasmatic Robe.

Only someone that has handed Blood Soaked Plasmatic Priest Robe to Omat will receive the Ornate Sea Shell II when handing Lord Gimblox's Signet Ring to Natasha.

Omat Vastsea says, 'You have proven yourself to be one who is willing to take responsibility for his own actions. Such a trait is desired by all deities to be present in their faithful. I pray that you had the wisdom to slay Lord Gimblox as well as the Plasmatic Priest in order to prevent further advancement in the incursion against the Riptides. Priestess Natasha awaits inside the inn for Lord Gimblox's ring, make haste for she is a busy women and will depart soon.'

  • Receive Orb of Frozen Water.

  • Step Two: Obtain the Orb of Clear Water

After giving Omat Vastea the Plasmatic Robe, Natasha Whitewater will have spawned nearby

  • Give her Lord Gimblox's Ring.

Natasha Whitewater says, 'Thank you for your services thus far. The Triumvirate missionaries are, so far, impressed. However, there is yet another threat rising from the Plasmatic Priesthood that may have dire effects on all of Norrath if it is not stopped. An Iksar member of the Triumvirate missionaries has discovered that the Plasmatic Priesthood has somehow convinced the sarnak summoners of Chardok to assit them in summoning Ixilblat Fer to Norrath. Take this shell to Naxton Deepwater in the Burning Woods so that she knows I have sent you. We ask that you return with the Sceptre of Ixiblat Fer as well as evidence to show that the Plasmatic Priesthood is dealing with sarnaks. High Priest Omat will await your return. I Must depart now. I pray for your success.'

  • Receive Ornate Sea Shell (Item Lore: Ornate Sea Shell II).

Only someone that has handed Blood Soaked Plasmatic Priest Robe to Omat will receive the Ornate Sea Shell II when handing Lord Gimblox's Signet Ring to Natasha.

You must take this Sea Shell to Naxot Deepwater in the Burning Woods, loc (+3400, -2150).

    You say, 'Hail, Naxot Deepwater.'

Naxot Deepwater says, 'Beware these woods! The sarnak claim this land as their own and wicked creatures walk beneath the burning foliage.'

  • Give him Ornate Sea Shell. (Item Lore: Ornate Sea Shell II)

    Upon hand in.

Naxot Deepwater says, 'Praise the Triumvirate! Natasha sent you just in time! Those twisted sarnak summoners are summoning Ixiblat Fer as we speak! We must stop Ixiblat Fer while he is still weak or all of Norrath may be set aflame! Please do me one more favor, should I perish to this beast of fire. Give this note to Natasha when you next see her, and if you should perish and I survive, I will make sure the waters never forget your reflections of your deeds this day.'

  • Receive Message to Natasha.

Ixiblat Fir spawns at loc (-2000, +1500). He is a 62nd level gigantic Fire Elemental, and hits for 575 damage with about 32000 hit points in total. He also casts an AE fire spell for 300.

  • Kill Ixiblat Fir and loot the Sceptre of Ixiblat Fir.

Only someone that has handed Sceptre of Ixiblat Fer and Singed Scroll to Omat will receive the Shimmering Pearl when handing A Message to Natasha to Natasha.

You're now due in Chardok and need to kill Overking Bathezid. He is located deep in Chardok in the royals area. He is 63rd level and takes about two good groups to kill. He casts an AE spell for 500 and gates.

  • Loot a Singed Scroll off his corpse

    It reads:
'Greetings Overking Bathezid. The time has come for you to return the boon owed to me from so long ago. I have need of your most powerful summoners to bring Ixiblat Fer into the mortal realm and rain fire upon my enemies. Your old friend, Zordak Ragefire.'

  • Take the Singed Scroll and Sceptre of Ixiblat Fir to Omat Vastsea.

Omat Vastsea says, 'I commend you on your success over the fire elemental lord, Ixiblat Fer. The fact that the Plasmatic Priesthood has mustered up the power to summon such a being means drastic actions must be taken to stop the fanatic cult of Fennin Ro. I wonder what kind of favor Zordak Ragefire performed for the sarnak summoners to convince them to assist in the ritual that brought forth Ixiblat Fer. The dragon Iksar hybrid abominations are not beings who ally with others easily. All I have seen in my divinations of the High Plasmatic Priest are riddles, and signs that the one who slays him may be awarded an Orb of the Triumvirate. If you are the one whom my visions foretell, then seek Zordak Ragefire and bring me his heart.'

  • Receive the Orb of Clear Water.

  • Step Three: Obtain the Orb of Vapor

After giving Omat Vastsea the Scroll and Sceptre, Natasha Whitewater will spawn nearby. Give her the Message to Natasha.

Natasha Whitewater lowers her head in mourning and whispers a prayer. It is a shame that fate has decided one so young and from such a background should perish, but we must not attempt to change what was destined to be. Priestess Naxot sacrificed herself selflessly so that others may be spared the horrors Ixiblat would have brought to Norrath. May the waters of Norrath forever remember her reflection. I thank you for delivering Naxot's message to me and give you this pearl imbued with the power of the Triumvirate. Should you find Zordak Ragefire, speak with him before all else then hold this pearl before him. When the pearl begins to swirl its enchantment will have taken effect.'

    You gain experience!!

  • Receive a Shimmering Pearl.

  • Head to Nagafen's Lair and go to the fire giant castle. Zordak Ragefire can be found outside the castle at -1380, -350.

    You say, 'Hail, Zordak Ragefire.'

Zordak Ragefire stares at you with unblinking eyes. A wide grin crosses Zordak's face and flames flicker in the depths of his eyes. 'Welcome to the new fortress of the Plasmatic Priesthood! It's a shame about Lord Nagafen's untimely death, really it is! Such a powerful and noble creature should not perish at the hands of mortals.'

  • Give him the Shimmering Pearl, and receive a Swirling Pearl and Zordak's Box of Bindings in return.

  • Head to the Skyfire Mountains and talk to Warder Cecilia loc (+3000, -3200).

    You say, 'Hail, Warder Cecilia.'

Warder Cecilia says 'Greetings, you have made excellent time. We received word that Zordak was gathering his power here, and we still have little knowledge of his true intentions. Scattered throughout these mountains there are small Pearlescent Shards, binding four of these shards together within a Box of Binding should allow me to create a Seal. This seal, when fused with a Swirling Pearl inside Zordak's heart should allow our seers to divine his true intentions, even after he has been slain. Once you have the seal I will release Zordak, make haste I will not be able to hold him for long.'

  • Combine these fragments in Zordak's Box of Bindings to create an Assembled Pearlescent Shard

  • Give this shard to Warder Cecilia in exchange for a Pearlescent Seal

This also spawns a human version of Zordak Ragefire. He'll attack and needs to be killed. Immediately upon his death, the dragon version, Zordakalicus Ragefire spawns.

  • Kill Zordakalicus Ragefire and loot the Impure Heart of Zordak Ragefire

  • Combine the Swirling Pearl and Pearlescent Seal inside this container to create Heart of Zordak Ragefire.

Head back to the Timorous Deep and give the heart to Omat Vastsea.

Omat Vastsea says, 'I see now that Zordak Ragefire and the exiled elder dragon Zordakalicus were the same being. That explains how he resisted our attempts to divine his affairs and past. Each of these orbs I have granted you represents one of the Triumvirate. Jhassad Oceanson awaits on the shore below to perform the ritual that will merge the orbs into a single Orb of the Triumvirate and summon an avatar from the Plane of Water. Present the Orb of the Triumvirate to the Avatar of Water when it arrives and allow your destiny to be unraveled.'

Omat Vastsea will summon Jhassad Oceanson if hailed by a character in possession of the Orb of Vapor. He will summon the Avatar of Water if the character has the Orb of the Triumvirate. But he will not summon either if one of them is already around.

  • Receive the Orb of Vapor.

  • Step Four: Obtain the Orb of the Triumvirate

After turning in Zordak Ragefire's Heart, Jhassad Oceanson spawns nearby.

  • Give him the Orb of Frozen Water, Orb of Clear Water, and Orb of Vapor.

Jhassad Oceanson kneels in the sand and places the three orbs into a large abalone shell bowl. A blue glow surrounds his hands as he waves them over the orbs resting in the bowl. The orbs crack and fall apart, releasing their contents, then reform into a single glowing orb. Jhassad Oceanson gently removes the Orb of the Triumvirate and places it in your hands. 'The Avatar of Water approaches. You must hand him the Orb of the Triumvirate and it will be decided if it is your destiny to wield the Nem Ankh Sprinkler.'

  • Receive Orb of the Triumvirate.

  • Step Five: Obtain the Water Sprinkler of Nem Ankh

Upon turning the three orbs into Jhassad Oceanson, the Avatar of Water will spawn and walk out of the lake. It does not respond to hails, so you may have to chase it down.

  • Hand in the Orb of the Triumvirate and receive the Water Sprinkler of Nem Ankh.

Congratulations to Kerania von Krieger, the first to wield the Water Sprinkler of Nem Ankh!

Hail warder cecilia again, if you have the pearl, she should give you another box.

Unfortunately, you need to get the shards all over again.

Can anyone tell me if the Scroll is still needed for the epic? I have heard it is no longer needed and find this to be a bit strange.

i'm sure i'm not the only one who has been wondering what lvl do you need in order to do the cleric epic and i haven't really found any threads or answer to that question.

i got mine today at lvl 47, so the rumor of being 51 in order to get it is false. however i get the "you are not sufficient lvl to use this item" when i go to use it. i'm guessing the 51 lvl requirement applies to this. so for anybody who is concerned about loosing their items by turning in at too low of a lvl. just wanted to throw this out there =) good luck on your epics

[b][/b]Oh skyfire mountains what a hellious zone this can be lol. For those just getting started on there epic or considering starting it so far the shards are the biggest challenge I have had. Some people have started with killing Lord Begurgle first.....I went and killed Lord Grimblox first due to the fact that he only took 1 hour and say 15 minutes to spawn for me...Lord Begurgle on the other had took me 9 hours off and on....(Eb items are a must)....after this then I killed the Lavawalker guy (both with the help of a 51 warr and a 52 rogue)...then went and killed the plasmatic priest..I took lets see it was 3 groups average level of 50 and he was overly dead within minutes lol....now im up to the lovely (not) shards been working on this for about a month and a half so far have gotten 3 out of 4 and they are no drop. But, have gotten some good spells for my guild bank! The drop rate is 1% on these shards and drop off of random mobs....and that is currently where I stuck at...Hope this helps.

    Fragment question
    # Dec 09 2003 at 6:54 AM Rating: Decent
Ok, I have been doing this for my cleric. I am only up to the overking part but was reading ahead in the quest information posted here in Allakhazam. There is no reference to the pearl fragments in it. Has this been removed or does allakhazam need to correct this.
On other sites it has the shards in it. Collecting four of them and such. Anyone done this recently able to fill me in? Thanks in advance for any postings.

The writeup here is for the old version of the epic, when ragefire spawned in naggy's lair.

Now he spawns in skyfire, and you need 4 shards.

    Rage fire turn in.
    # Dec 01 2003 at 8:11 PM Rating: Decent
One way that I have found works really well when doing this turn in and not having to worry about summoning your corpse or woring about getting lost in the zone is a follows:

When he is up get the pearl on your cursor and cast DA and run to him and do the hand in. After you have done the hand in use this item, Vial of Swirling Smoke, click DA off, click this item and poof, you are at your bind point. It is an instant gate potion that monsters can not interrupt that you can buy at regular vendors. (It costs up to 1.5 k but hey, you would spend almost that much on a coffin and this way you do not lose the XP)

Combine your idea with one posted earlier.

Use divine barrier for the turn in, then make a mad dash for the zone. IF it wears off, then click divine aura. For most people, this should be enough time to find the zone to sol A.

However, if divine aura drops, then click your 1k gete potion, and save the CR.

Personally, I like the idea more for the time saved, than anything else. No need for CR, therefore no time wasted looking for necro or SK, getting them ported there, etc.

Great Idea however I have to disagree with your comment "you would spend almost that much on a coffin." You spend around 150pp for a Coffin NOT 1.5k :)

    All in fun Kanzum.

Perhaps you were refering to what the Greedy yet insane Necromancer house call fee might be? 1k ?

Personally I wouldnt pay a necro more then what I get paid to do a res and I will bring my own coffin for him to use. If the necro charges more I would keep looking.

But like I said GREAT IDEA if your rich.

Well... I had camped Lord B for 3 hours one night, with a 60 WIZ and 60 RNG... he never showed up to our party...

The next day I asked one friend if she wanted to come, and it ended up being a huge party - 53 BST, 56 PAL, 56 DRU, 59 RNG, 58 CLR [me] - talk about overkill... so we waited... and waited... and we camped for 5 hours to no avail. We had about 5 tainted goblins spawn, 2 corrupted - only one DRU got the Lake Water [the one that was with us left too early].

Anyways, one day I was soloing in KFC [aviak camp in SK] with my BST, and I decided that I had had my fun... so I had to run home. But since he was an Iksar, waiting for the spires had bad news written all over it. So I had to run through Lake Rathetear, and I decided to check up on my favorite goblin. Sure enough, Lord B was sitting there, just ASKING for his potential ***-handing. So I let my BST drown [he doesn't have his EB item left, was at 25% air when I got to the camp], logged my cleric, and brought the 53 BST from last time with me. We get to the tower, BST goes LD, I pacify all the mobs, and pull Lord B. Took me awhile [he got a CH off], but he dropped. BST came back, we went and did the Shemdrik/Nastasha part...

We killed Shemdrik, SoF popped. I parked Nastasha right at the spawn place of Shemdrik [we let her strut closer to us], and rooted the SoF. Anyways, root broke on both, so I re-rooted Nastasha right back at the camp [she moved towards me, away from the SoF] and rooted the SoF about 10 feet from the water. I moved closer to Nastasha and let her beat up on me so she didn't nuke the SoF, and then the BST got this message.

Nastasha Whitewater has CRUSHED the Spirit of Flame for 56 points of damage.
A Spirit of Flame has been KILLED by Nastasha Whitewater.

NOW, these mobs were EASILY farther apart than any crushing 2hb weapon could do. So, I petitioned, they gave me back Lord B's crown, and I decided to just kill Shemdrik and the SoF, wait till they repopped, and did it again, this time doing turn-in, handed in the crown's and got my sea shell...

All in all, I hate Lord Bergurgle.

p.s. The robe that drops off Shemdrik makes a fine wedding dress =D.

    Wrong.

The Singed Scroll from the Overking in Chardok IS multiquestable.

All you need to do is BOTH head out to TD, and do the turn in. Just make sure that your friend turns the scroll in FIRST.

On 11/14/03 I went through and did the Lord Bergurgle crown turn in to Shmendrik. Because of boredom while waiting for Lord Bergurgle I had already gotten the damaged crown. After spawning him I immediately ran into the house near by and turned in the damaged crown that I had already looted. As soon as I turned in the damaged crown Natasha popped. The reason why I am writing this is because Shemdrik was still there, he did not get killed, so another cleric was able to do the turn in as well and get the damaged crown off of him. Just an FYI that may be helpful.

    Ok.. i gotta dumb question....

I gave the message to Nadox to spawn Ix.. The other Cleric/Canter (2 Boxed) LD'd in fight and we wiped.... Went back when rezzed and regrouped and Ix was gone... Is there a way to respawn Ix without having to redo First Part of Quest or am I gonna have to start over?

Help Please.. I have over 20 hours in this already...

Ixeblat was a very easy mob. Duo'd him with a 65 pally and 65 cleric. took about 6-7 minutes for the fight. looted my scepter and was done.

Sad to say but you have to start again.

I think its the same with Ragefire. Once you spawn it, i think you have limited time for the kill. If you fail on this last kill, you need to do the whole quest all over again.

Good luck on your next attempt

You must start over. Ixiblat stays up for about 20 minutes after you spawn him, so you must have been pretty slow on the regrouping.

Also, once he is pulled, (if you wipe, or the puller dies) he slowly, and in a roundabout manner, makes his way back to his spawn point. Make sure to have trackers next time.

Ok, having had to go through this stupid quest twice, I have a few things I wanted to post that may help some people.

First of all, Shmendrik is a piece of cake and I do not reccomend doing it the way most people have suggested with having to get crown twice. What I did that worked perfectly is that after I turned in the crown to him, I immediately bopped him one with my SK and moved away from the water towards the hill. Natasha came out and did her script while I was attacking Shmendrik, and was half dead by the time she got to where he used to be. She didn't aggro him because he was already out of the way (and really not that far from where he was). I killed and looted him and then turned it in to Natasha and she didn't even hit him once.

Pearl shards suck. Don't even want to talk about them other than to mention that I did about 148 straight kills without a single drop this second time I did quest. All 4 shards I got from OOCs in the zone except for one that a friend got for me camping in another part of the zone. It just sucks. Chroms don't seem to drop shards, but I have seen them come off every other mob in the zone. What I did that helped a lot is that i bound myself near BW zone and fought near the warder. If someone called an OOC, I would ask the person in tell where it was approximately, and if near BW, I'd port there, if closer to me I'd run for it. At least 2 of the 4 shards I got I beat other clerics to, and my last shard had 5 clerics racing for it, but I was a little better at using locs to find stuff. :)

Chardok can be a major undertaking, or a reletively small raid. If you can, find a magician on chardok faction there are a fair number of chars out there on chardok faction because of some of the quests. Also find a rogue on Chardok faction. Rogue and magician go in to the hallway just past the second locked door that's just short of ramp down to king and queens room and magician CoH's in one or two other magicians first, who in turn summon the rest of the group. You gotta be fairly fast so you have enough people there when the roamers get there (3 total). Then get the king room mezzed. You can use a chanter with bind sight, or the one I've used is a bard with eye of zomm, and you mezz room and pull the king out solo. If executed well, you can do this in less than an hour.

Other than that, most of the quest is easy other than the major camping

    Pearlescent Shards
    # Jun 30 2003 at 9:34 AM Rating: Default

    Sorry folks but I just had to post this. I have been at a minor stand still with the epic for a couple of weeks as I can not get my guild to help me with King. I am in a high end raiding type of guild so I KNOW that Chdok could be done in a very short time (All the Royals with 3 groups lvl62+ i mean cmon people throw me a bone here!) with very little risk!{Ok /rant off}
So I decided to knock out the Shards so when they finally do break down and help me in Chdok, I could theoretically finish the quest the same day.
First day I pretty much just decided to go camp there as it was very late and our guild had just cleared all the Tower Bosses in BoT. I also moved my lvl 56th Warrior to the zone as he would get some exp at 56. When both of my toons were in zone I started to camp when a Mature Worm just decided to ruin my camp.
The fight was on! And after being in the zone for a total of 5 minutes and 1 mob down I had my first Shard! Woot. So I camped out, saving the rest for the next day.
The next day I logged in at around 11am, and within 2 hours I had my next 2 drop {I was like OMG cause I read all the threads about 1% chance}. --1 off a Skylash Drake and a nother of a Mature Wyvern. Then for the next 6 hours of tearing Skyfire apart nothing dropped.
I was getting ready to log when my warrior spotted the old worm {or something similarly named} and proceeded to chase after it as I was just sure it would have my last shard. I got to the mob only to find someone had pulled it. I found the lucky hunter and noticed it was a solo Shaman. Shaman finished the fight and looted the corpse but it did not disappear. I had not seen any ooc's regarding a rotting shard so I waited a minute, and asked him what was on corpse.
He zoned with out a reply so I ran to the Old Worm, and what did I find? MY LAST SHARD WOOOOOOT.
Ended up only putting a total of 6.5 hours camping these Jewels. I can not tell you how happy that made this camper. Now I can go on with EXP knowing I just need 2 drops and have nothing left to camp!
Well wish me luck convincing people to help me with overking!

Heyas-The same tactic that wrks on Burgurgle [binding at a conveniant kill spot, getting his attention and gating, thus pulling him to teh kill zone] also works on the priest. I had the incredible luck of my buddy Palledine making himself available when Burgurgle spawned to run through the whole first orb part of my epic. Since he is KOS in Sol Ro, I ended up needing to be the puller. Cleric not normally being a pulling sort of class, I decided to try the bind and gate tactic. Worked like a charm. I made a gate hotkey, hung out in the roomwaiting for the Seeker to spawn. I handed him the statue and immediately hit gate. At 52, I was able to take the 2 hits he landed on me and still gate, to the zone in tunnel where my 61 paladin buddy was waiting to put the hurt on the priest. As back up, he got a friend of his, a wizard of the same level to hang with us, but the entire fight was over in less than 5 minutes from andin to loot. Looking back in my logs, i took a hit for 35 and a hit for 118, barely moved my health bar...

Don't help another cleric with the plasmatic priest/seeker unless you have done yours already. You take a major faction hit to Temple of Sol Ro. I went from Indiff --> attack in 1 (one) kill there. The cleric that was helping me, can not continue his epic till he corrects the faction hit. I wish I would have know this before, but my friends trouble will now be your benifit.

GL, oh and I have been camping Gimb for 4 hours now and still no pop.

Second that on no faction hits. You WILL get faction hits if you agro the keepers or any of the mobs around him, however so watch your AOE spells. We were dragging him to the zone and AoE stun later we had 2 keepers in addition to the priest. We just killed the priest and then had everyone zone and come back in to loot without the faction hits.

    Fragments
    # Apr 07 2003 at 12:34 PM Rating: Decent
Well, I was one of the lucky ones. My group camped at BW zoneline in Skyfire and we were able to get 3 fragments in a little over 6 hours. They dropped off different mobs, never got one from the chromodracs, 2 wyverns 1 wurm (not mature was either wandering or regular, not positive) and 1 of the bottomfeeders. We were giving up and all had left except for me, I was going to log there and try for the final fragment the next day when someone OOC'd that there was one at the BW zoneline. I turned around and the person was right behind me, I asked "where?" and followed her a short distance to the mob. Looted my last fragment, hugged her and thanked her wholeheartedly. I know these things are a bugger to get sometimes, I was lucky.

I want to thank Fretlen for the outline post, great job with the update! I still have the Overking to do before ragefire as we wiped on the last try, but I'm very close now. I was level 51 before I started my epic and haven't been really going for it, mostly just getting things as I go along. I'm halfway to 53 with 1 AA point and getting close to epic, I'm getting very excited now! Hopefully by the end of April if not May, I'll be epic.

    # Apr 03 2003 at 8:54 PM Rating: Decent
as far as Shards go, good luck. you either have to be extremely lucky or your grandma is a GM. 3 of the 4 shards i got came from other peoples kills. best advice i got is to stay at the BW zone and bind youself near the OT zone. someone does an OOC for one, either gate there or run there. most people kite near BW zone so stay there. took me 4 days to get my 4 shards. i solo'd alot of mobs when i had KEI. hope this helps. they can drop off anything its said, but i've only seen them drop off Named and Mature type mobs.

I took 6 guildmates to skyfire to hunt shards. We divided into two groups, with each pulling seperate mobs.

4 hours later, I had all 4 of my shards. 2 dropped from the giant sperms, one off a wurm, and I forget what the last was.

Anyhow, don't be completely terrorized by this step, It doesn't take everyone 2 weeks to get the shards.

Oh, a monk who came with us also got a copy of immortals off another group's kill.

    Good evening there :)
