Full Walkthrough

Step One: Obtain the Orb of Frozen Water

Shmendrik Lavawalker can be found at loc (+3600, 0) in Lake Rathetear. He has a spawn timer of three hours.

You say, 'Hail, Shmendrik Lavawalker.'

Shmendrik Lavawalker says 'Hail, good [your name here] !! Be wary near the waters of Lake Rathe! The Riptide goblin king, Lord Bergurgle has been commanding his minions to murder and rob all who come near it! I am here seeking his death but I am afraid I am no match for all of his subjects. I shall reward you greatly for the death of Lord Bergurgle. I simply ask that you bring me his crown as proof.'

Seek out Lord Bergurgle (loc 2800, 150 in underwater cave). He is a Cleric, and a rare spawn on a 28 minute PH spawn timer.

  • Kill him and loot Lord Bergurgle's Crown

  • Take the crown to Shmendrik Lavawalker

Shmendrik cannot be attacked until someone hands him Lord Bergurgle's Crown.

Only someone that has handed Lord Bergurgle's Crown to Shmendrik can loot the Damaged Goblin Crown from the spirit of flame.

Shmendrik Lavawalker shoves the crown into a scorch marked leather satchel and cackles uncontrollably as madness twists his features and flames dance in his eyes. You have reduced the Riptides into chaos! Without a king to keep them in control they will ravage the settlements surrounding this lake! After the slaughter I shall return and easily burn the remainder of the villages and fishing shanties to the ground! None shall escape the fires of the Tyrant!!'

  • You'll receive Oil of Fennin Ro in exchange for the crown

Natasha Whitewater spawns in a hut nearby and walks out.

Natasha Whitewater shouts, 'The Triumvirate of Water has decreed your fate, Shmendrik Lavawalker!! I am here to deliver said fate!!'

Shmendrik Lavawalker says, 'I'll slay you like I slaughtered your fellow missionaries! The Triumvirate can not decide the fate of a follower of the Tyrant!!'

Natasha Whitewater says, 'Enough!! Your existence has come to an end!'

Natasha Whitewater says, 'This conflict has been destined by the waters of the Triumvirate!'

Most of the time Natasha cannot be attacked. She can only be fought when she engages with Shmendrik.

  • Kill Shmendrik Lavawalker

Upon Shmendrik Lavawalker's death The Spirit of Flame spawns and attacks Natasha Whitewalker. It is a Warrior, and 40th level. It has no special attacks.

  • Kill the Spirit of Flame before it kills Natasha Whitewalker or else you'll have to get another crown to start this event again

Only someone that has handed Lord Bergurgle's Crown to Shmendrik can loot the Damaged Goblin Crown from the spirit of flame.

  • Loot the Damaged Goblin Crown from The Spirit Flame

    You say, 'Hail, Natasha Whitewater.'

Natasha Whitewater says 'The Riptide goblins must have their crown returned to them. If you would be so kind as to give me the crown I will make sure that it reaches them. Hopefully they are capable enough to repair the damage that has been done to it.'

  • Give her the Damaged Goblin Crown.

Natasha Whitewater says 'I will have this crown returned to the Riptide Goblins immediately! Should you ever come across an Erudite named Omat Vastsea, give him this sea shell. The waters of Norrath shimmer with awareness of your deeds here today!'

  • Receive an Ornate Sea Shell (Item Lore: Ornate Sea Shell I).

Head to the paradise area of Timorous Deep and find Omat Vastsea (loc -11565, -2235; cave entrance loc -11530, -3728).

    You say, 'Hail, Omat Vastsea.'

Omat Vastsea bows deeply. 'I have been expecting you. The waters have foretold your arrival. I am High Priest Omat Vastsea of the Triumvirate missionaries. Please feel free to enjoy the quiet solitude of this inn.'

You say, 'Who are the Triumvirate?'

Omat Vastsea says 'The Triumvirate of Water are: E'ci, the mistress of ice; Tarew Marr, the lord of water; and Povar, the formless master of vapor and mist. We Triumvirate missionaries are granted great divinatory powers and wisdom through our devotion to the Triumvirate and must defend the waters of Norrath from the ravages of the Tyrant of Fire, Fennin Ro.'

You say, 'Who is Fennin Ro?'

Omat Vastsea says 'The Tyrant of Fire, Fennin Ro, is the merciless lord of fire in all its forms. The rivalry between the tyrant and the Triumvirate is as old as the gods themselves and is an eternal battle. We witness the struggle every moment of our lives as the Oasis of Marr succumbs to the heat of the surrounding desert and is replenished by the swelling of the Lifire River. That fragile balance between the elements must be maintained but the Plasmatic Priesthood threatens that balance.'

You say, 'Who are the Plasmatic Priesthood?'

Omat Vastsea says 'The Plasmatic Priesthood are worshipers of the Tyrant of Fire, but they have been driven mad by their fanaticism and have forgotten the importance of the balance. In their madness they would set the whole world aflame, leaving nothing but lifeless ash.'

  • Hand him the Ornate Sea Shell.

Omat Vastsea says 'So, you are a friend of Natasha's? That is good to see. She is a very wise and gifted woman. The Riptide goblins have adopted a new king but are still in a vulnerable state until his subjects accept his rule. The Plasmatic Priesthood is aware of the weakened state of the Riptides and has convinced the Fire Peak goblins to strike against them. Although I do not agree with the mannerisms or actions of any goblin clan, such a war would be detrimental to all who are caught in its path. Lord Gimblox of the Fire Peak clan has been meeting with a member of the Plasmatic Priesthood in the Temple of Solusek Ro. Locate the Plasmatic Priest, hand him this statue to hinder his powers, then eliminate him and bring me his robe.'

  • Receive Coral Statue of Tarew Marr.

You must now head to the Temple of Solusek Ro. Take the Coral Statue to a seeker. He can be found at loc (+326, +38, +29). He spawns at 9 A.M. and despawns at 9 P.M. game time.

  • Upon giving him the statue, he will attack.

A seeker shakes violently as his hand closes on the coral statue and flames dance in the depths of his eyes! The statue begins to emit a reddish glow then shatters in a burst of fire and smoke! The flames in the plasmatic priest's eyes vanish with the explosion and only madness remains! 'The Triumvirate thinks that destroying my spirit of flame will stop me?!! I will kill you all now, the goblins will continue to war, and when my spirit is restored I will ensure that Ixiblat Fer consumes all of Norrath in his flames!!'

A Seeker will now change into a Plasmatic Priest and start attacking you. He is a 55th level Cleric with about 12k hitpoints. It is recommended you bring him to the zone or pull him out in the hallway so that any AE spells he casts do not aggro other NPCs.

  • Kill him and loot the Blood Soaked Plasmatic Robe.

Now head to Solusek's Eye and kill Lord Gimblox, loc (-796, -366). He is 30th level and a rare spawn on a 19 minute timer with PH.

  • Kill him and loot Lord Gimblox's Signet Ring.

Head back to Timorous Deep and see Omat Vastsea.

  • Give Omat Vastsea the Blood Soaked Plasmatic Robe.

Only someone that has handed Blood Soaked Plasmatic Priest Robe to Omat will receive the Ornate Sea Shell II when handing Lord Gimblox's Signet Ring to Natasha.

Omat Vastsea says, 'You have proven yourself to be one who is willing to take responsibility for his own actions. Such a trait is desired by all deities to be present in their faithful. I pray that you had the wisdom to slay Lord Gimblox as well as the Plasmatic Priest in order to prevent further advancement in the incursion against the Riptides. Priestess Natasha awaits inside the inn for Lord Gimblox's ring, make haste for she is a busy women and will depart soon.'

  • Receive Orb of Frozen Water.

  • Step Two: Obtain the Orb of Clear Water

After giving Omat Vastea the Plasmatic Robe, Natasha Whitewater will have spawned nearby

  • Give her Lord Gimblox's Ring.

Natasha Whitewater says, 'Thank you for your services thus far. The Triumvirate missionaries are, so far, impressed. However, there is yet another threat rising from the Plasmatic Priesthood that may have dire effects on all of Norrath if it is not stopped. An Iksar member of the Triumvirate missionaries has discovered that the Plasmatic Priesthood has somehow convinced the sarnak summoners of Chardok to assit them in summoning Ixilblat Fer to Norrath. Take this shell to Naxton Deepwater in the Burning Woods so that she knows I have sent you. We ask that you return with the Sceptre of Ixiblat Fer as well as evidence to show that the Plasmatic Priesthood is dealing with sarnaks. High Priest Omat will await your return. I Must depart now. I pray for your success.'

  • Receive Ornate Sea Shell (Item Lore: Ornate Sea Shell II).

Only someone that has handed Blood Soaked Plasmatic Priest Robe to Omat will receive the Ornate Sea Shell II when handing Lord Gimblox's Signet Ring to Natasha.

You must take this Sea Shell to Naxot Deepwater in the Burning Woods, loc (+3400, -2150).

    You say, 'Hail, Naxot Deepwater.'

Naxot Deepwater says, 'Beware these woods! The sarnak claim this land as their own and wicked creatures walk beneath the burning foliage.'

  • Give him Ornate Sea Shell. (Item Lore: Ornate Sea Shell II)

    Upon hand in.

Naxot Deepwater says, 'Praise the Triumvirate! Natasha sent you just in time! Those twisted sarnak summoners are summoning Ixiblat Fer as we speak! We must stop Ixiblat Fer while he is still weak or all of Norrath may be set aflame! Please do me one more favor, should I perish to this beast of fire. Give this note to Natasha when you next see her, and if you should perish and I survive, I will make sure the waters never forget your reflections of your deeds this day.'

  • Receive Message to Natasha.

Ixiblat Fir spawns at loc (-2000, +1500). He is a 62nd level gigantic Fire Elemental, and hits for 575 damage with about 32000 hit points in total. He also casts an AE fire spell for 300.

  • Kill Ixiblat Fir and loot the Sceptre of Ixiblat Fir.

Only someone that has handed Sceptre of Ixiblat Fer and Singed Scroll to Omat will receive the Shimmering Pearl when handing A Message to Natasha to Natasha.

You're now due in Chardok and need to kill Overking Bathezid. He is located deep in Chardok in the royals area. He is 63rd level and takes about two good groups to kill. He casts an AE spell for 500 and gates.

  • Loot a Singed Scroll off his corpse

    It reads:
'Greetings Overking Bathezid. The time has come for you to return the boon owed to me from so long ago. I have need of your most powerful summoners to bring Ixiblat Fer into the mortal realm and rain fire upon my enemies. Your old friend, Zordak Ragefire.'

  • Take the Singed Scroll and Sceptre of Ixiblat Fir to Omat Vastsea.

Omat Vastsea says, 'I commend you on your success over the fire elemental lord, Ixiblat Fer. The fact that the Plasmatic Priesthood has mustered up the power to summon such a being means drastic actions must be taken to stop the fanatic cult of Fennin Ro. I wonder what kind of favor Zordak Ragefire performed for the sarnak summoners to convince them to assist in the ritual that brought forth Ixiblat Fer. The dragon Iksar hybrid abominations are not beings who ally with others easily. All I have seen in my divinations of the High Plasmatic Priest are riddles, and signs that the one who slays him may be awarded an Orb of the Triumvirate. If you are the one whom my visions foretell, then seek Zordak Ragefire and bring me his heart.'

  • Receive the Orb of Clear Water.

  • Step Three: Obtain the Orb of Vapor

After giving Omat Vastsea the Scroll and Sceptre, Natasha Whitewater will spawn nearby. Give her the Message to Natasha.

Natasha Whitewater lowers her head in mourning and whispers a prayer. It is a shame that fate has decided one so young and from such a background should perish, but we must not attempt to change what was destined to be. Priestess Naxot sacrificed herself selflessly so that others may be spared the horrors Ixiblat would have brought to Norrath. May the waters of Norrath forever remember her reflection. I thank you for delivering Naxot's message to me and give you this pearl imbued with the power of the Triumvirate. Should you find Zordak Ragefire, speak with him before all else then hold this pearl before him. When the pearl begins to swirl its enchantment will have taken effect.'

    You gain experience!!

  • Receive a Shimmering Pearl.

  • Head to Nagafen's Lair and go to the fire giant castle. Zordak Ragefire can be found outside the castle at -1380, -350.

    You say, 'Hail, Zordak Ragefire.'

Zordak Ragefire stares at you with unblinking eyes. A wide grin crosses Zordak's face and flames flicker in the depths of his eyes. 'Welcome to the new fortress of the Plasmatic Priesthood! It's a shame about Lord Nagafen's untimely death, really it is! Such a powerful and noble creature should not perish at the hands of mortals.'

  • Give him the Shimmering Pearl, and receive a Swirling Pearl and Zordak's Box of Bindings in return.

  • Head to the Skyfire Mountains and talk to Warder Cecilia loc (+3000, -3200).

    You say, 'Hail, Warder Cecilia.'

Warder Cecilia says 'Greetings, you have made excellent time. We received word that Zordak was gathering his power here, and we still have little knowledge of his true intentions. Scattered throughout these mountains there are small Pearlescent Shards, binding four of these shards together within a Box of Binding should allow me to create a Seal. This seal, when fused with a Swirling Pearl inside Zordak's heart should allow our seers to divine his true intentions, even after he has been slain. Once you have the seal I will release Zordak, make haste I will not be able to hold him for long.'

  • Combine these fragments in Zordak's Box of Bindings to create an Assembled Pearlescent Shard

  • Give this shard to Warder Cecilia in exchange for a Pearlescent Seal

This also spawns a human version of Zordak Ragefire. He'll attack and needs to be killed. Immediately upon his death, the dragon version, Zordakalicus Ragefire spawns.

  • Kill Zordakalicus Ragefire and loot the Impure Heart of Zordak Ragefire

  • Combine the Swirling Pearl and Pearlescent Seal inside this container to create Heart of Zordak Ragefire.

Head back to the Timorous Deep and give the heart to Omat Vastsea.

Omat Vastsea says, 'I see now that Zordak Ragefire and the exiled elder dragon Zordakalicus were the same being. That explains how he resisted our attempts to divine his affairs and past. Each of these orbs I have granted you represents one of the Triumvirate. Jhassad Oceanson awaits on the shore below to perform the ritual that will merge the orbs into a single Orb of the Triumvirate and summon an avatar from the Plane of Water. Present the Orb of the Triumvirate to the Avatar of Water when it arrives and allow your destiny to be unraveled.'

Omat Vastsea will summon Jhassad Oceanson if hailed by a character in possession of the Orb of Vapor. He will summon the Avatar of Water if the character has the Orb of the Triumvirate. But he will not summon either if one of them is already around.

  • Receive the Orb of Vapor.

  • Step Four: Obtain the Orb of the Triumvirate

After turning in Zordak Ragefire's Heart, Jhassad Oceanson spawns nearby.

  • Give him the Orb of Frozen Water, Orb of Clear Water, and Orb of Vapor.

Jhassad Oceanson kneels in the sand and places the three orbs into a large abalone shell bowl. A blue glow surrounds his hands as he waves them over the orbs resting in the bowl. The orbs crack and fall apart, releasing their contents, then reform into a single glowing orb. Jhassad Oceanson gently removes the Orb of the Triumvirate and places it in your hands. 'The Avatar of Water approaches. You must hand him the Orb of the Triumvirate and it will be decided if it is your destiny to wield the Nem Ankh Sprinkler.'

  • Receive Orb of the Triumvirate.

  • Step Five: Obtain the Water Sprinkler of Nem Ankh

Upon turning the three orbs into Jhassad Oceanson, the Avatar of Water will spawn and walk out of the lake. It does not respond to hails, so you may have to chase it down.

  • Hand in the Orb of the Triumvirate and receive the Water Sprinkler of Nem Ankh.

Congratulations to Kerania von Krieger, the first to wield the Water Sprinkler of Nem Ankh!

    Zordak Ragefire -- Sol B
    # Sep 24 2000 at 12:09 AM Rating: Default
There's a new npc in sol b named Zordak Ragefire..I was unable to talk to him due to bad pathing and even worse GM assistance../rude E'ci gms. But i heard he's a plasmatic, nothing more than that tho..talk to him if you can, i'd like to know what he has to say

    Nejaa Halcyon
    E'ci
    Interesting...!

I'll try to go in Sol B and talk to him tomorow, can you give me more information about where he is exactly, how far he is, is he high level (55+)? All those questions I want to know before adventuring into Sol B (or my death, if he's too deep).

Respond as soon as possible please :)

My though is: Omat Vastsea is the High-Priest of the Triumvirate Priesthood (Master of the Triumvirate Priesthood), and he has an Apprentice (Naxton Deepwater), the Iksar in Burning Wood.

Shmen Lavawalker would be the Apprentice of the Plasmatic Priesthood, we need to find his Master to know their side of the story, or any new information about the quest. If this Zordak Ragefire is in Sol B, and is level 55+ (Omat is level 60 cause I heard him cast the spell Divine Intervention (level 60 spell). Assuming Zordak Ragefire is level 60, he would be the High-Priest of the Plasmatic Priesthood (Master of the Plasmatic Priesthood).

Dang, I have to talk to this guy :)

I'll keep ya all updated tomorow about him, I'll also try to /log the conversation with him, if I find him.

And, it is known he is not linked in any way to Nagefen being killed or not. He spawns and walks the Nox's route. Red and indiff, i.e. BetaNeutral. Anyone else notice how all the NPCs that are only talked to in these quests are red and indiff to just about everyone? If not red or if your high, can't be a talk-to-NPC. Will talk to him some and see abot responses, along with Schmendrick about the Triumvirate. Gonna collect Schem's robe and crown, then the robe from Natox and teh crown from the Goblin Lord (if I can find). Wonder if you need all 4, or if you then need a staff of ice/fire, and then one more item belonging to one or the other. Fire being evil and the water ging to good could be possibility.

    A thought
    # Sep 23 2000 at 2:10 PM Rating: Default
Ok i am new to this whole quest thing, i am very very confused as i am sure 90% of you are also but after reading every post under every special quest i have come to a small conclusion...

The NPC's that are new to the cities are either
A: New NPC's for new quests that are not relevan to the weapon quests...
B: The ending NPC's for each Race to get the specific item sought.
C: The begining of the quest for each race with the others being in the middle and then having to finish with the ones who began.

I know i have not searched everywhere since i am only a level 13 Dwarven Cleric and would most definatly not be able to complete this quest, but I have found what appears to be either a Rogue or a Warrior Dwarf near the chessboard who cons Dubious to me which i find interesting.. also cons Red but thats no big surprise. I have hunted the Chessboard for weeks before this patch and never saw this NPC before now after the patch she is there i cannot recall her name and she does not respond to my hails... which leads me to believe either thay have put a Level limit on this quest, or a faction limit or perhaps both...

I do not believe that they at Verant would make a DE Cleric have to go into Queynos to start the quest... I have a DE SK that is now Level 20 and fully accepted in Qeynos even by the paladins... (this took me over 20 hours of killing gnolls and turning in over 200 fangs and 200 moonstones...) I highly doubt that the would require a high level to camp in blackburrow for 20 hours killing everything he/she sees and collecting fangs and turning them in..

Which only strengthens my previous statement about the new NPC's in the cities. Sorry there is no new Quest information here aside from my perhaps mad thoughts but mayhaps it will halep you all ho are doing this quest to slow down and look and think at the reasoning of the quests... versus running around killing every new monster that spawns and turning every new item you find that has no previous information on it...

Perhaps turning in the robe to NPC a will result in a different item, and turning in the Stone to NPC B will result in an item, which you then take those 2 Items to NPC C and turn in for an item and then finally return to your chosen temple and turn in final item for the final weapon you wish to recieve.. Look at the screaming mace quest in Crushbone.. you need crushes tunic which you turn in for a dwarven mace, then you need the bracer from the ultra rare spawn and turn that in for the cloth and then you turn in both the mace and the cloth for the screaming mace... now this is a semi low level quest but i think it is one of the most cleverly done quests i have read and done to date... hence it is quite possable that they did it again with these new ultra weapons...

Since i will probly never within the next year auire any of these weapons i wish you all luck on finding them and eagerly await the final outcome of the quests.

    Good Luck

Ok, went to Lake Rathe, after talking to lavawalker, decided that i need to kill all the goblins to see if king would spawn. Soooo, go down in cave, grab one from around tower, pass deep on the way down, she's indifferent to me and doesn't respond to hails and such. Well, the first gob i get is a cleric one. Swim past her and low and behold she attacks the gob and kills it. Smacks it good. Think, well this is going to be easy to clear all the gobs, grab another one. This one is a wiz though, and she just leaves it alone. So i have to swim out to partner and kill it out there. Thought maybe it was a fluke so i tri again. Wiz, she leaves it alone. Then get another cleric and she kills it on the way out. Sooo, from this i think we have to kill all the gobs to get the king to spawn, and invite some friends that want to fight in the water, cause you aren't getting the king outta the cave if you want the kill. She was only on 1 side, so you might be able to pull out to the other side towards the arena.

Well the our cleric armor requires long boring camps where u are solo. Better bring friends from the beginning on this one.

From all the people, the lavawalker is the first cleric npc to ask for something in return. So i think we have to turn in the crown to get goin on the quest. Just my 2cp worth of course.

But, if you didn't know Omat was there? Who among us would have any problem killing a golin king? And it appears that Lavawalker is the only one asking for something.

And i don't believe there are 2 versions of the quest. It's too much work for VI to pull off. And since all the gods of the Triumvarate are just server names, with their own faction and stuff i think we all have to do the same quest. Maybe later there will be different branches but we have to start somewhere, and Lavawalker is the only one asking for something that we can hand in and move to the next step. Well, my 2cp again.

    # Sep 23 2000 at 10:55 AM Rating: Default
The Cadecus of the Sacriment is an old Cleric quest weapon but it might be needed to complete the FA Cleric quest. Remember that Pallies have to turn in their Soulfire as one of the parts to get the FA. Soo we might have to turn in the Cadecus as part the quest to get the new one. Just a though =)

Yes turning in the CotS may be part, the rogue quest also requires them to turn in their Burning Rapier, a much hard quest than the CotS. The Cadecus quest is really very easy, I completed it at level 41 with a level 41 rogue and myself. Still want to find out more about this particle quest.

The Caduceous of Sacrament is the old cleric quest weapon. 12dmg, 32dly, magic, lore, no drop. The new weapon is different. It's a Fiery Avenger type quest, very hard, with many hours to put into it to get it. It has a particle effect on it, kind of like the flames flickering up and down the blade of Soulfire and the Fiery Avenger.

The caduceus quest is a very old quest, was added when the temple of solusek ro first opened last year. BUT....i would not rule out the fact that the weapon is now used in our new "Super Weapon" quest, It is a no drop item (just like soulfire) which is also turned in to gain the Firey Avenger. The quest itself is also hidden, there are no keywords when you talk to the cleric npcs in the temple of ro, but Gavel will respond if you ask him about Sacrament.

This NPC dropped a Robe of the Triumverate Missionaries, un-equippable for "Clr, Wiz, Mage"

Location of Naxton was +3405, -2141.

I was not the one to encounter the NPC, so I didn't get the chance to hail him or anything; a shammy friend of mine killed him and got the robe and gave it to me, thinking it might be part of our quest.

If he does drop a Triumvirate robe, then it could be possible to have a evil and good cleric quest. Killing ihm and turning into Schmendrick or someone could lead to the evil weapon, while maybe turning Schmendricks stuff into him could lead to good. But by the sound of it, he doesn't do anything known yet.

No, I think there are different versions of the quest or a neurtal one. If it is in a town it would be a neutral town. My Dark Elf cleric can freely walk around Freeport, even in Arcane Sciences. But there are some who would kill him, very few mind you.

    Some Thoughts Also
    # Sep 22 2000 at 10:14 AM Rating: Default
Couple of things I would like to through out there.

    1) Would these quests start or even involve Kunark? Kunark is still a patch and not required for regular game play, would verant place quest in the expansion areas? My answer would be yes, so that they could sell more expansion packs personally.

    2) Someone brought up a good point in that the quest might not start in a city. The reason for this is that there are good and evil clerics..so either there are two different weapons, or the one we obtain would have to be neutral in origin. Then again there might be two paths to go depending on disposition..that would be very cool.

    3) Recent posts have stated that these quests are going to be different than any other quest. So as a community we need to start thinking away from the norm when we pursue this.

Just some thoughts everyone, these kind of things are why I play this game and I hope everyone is having as much fun as I am.

Been wracking my brain to try to find some correlation between the NPC in Tim deep and the Plasmatic Priest in Lake Rathe..other than the priesthood mention...this is what I thought of...

Omat in Tim deep is part of the triumvarate of Water fighting the god of Fire Fenin Ro...

What we find in Lake Rathe is a plasmatic Priest, an agent of the the god of fire, asking us to kill Lord Bergurgle..the Riptide Goblin king...riptide = water.

Now..what I'm thinking..is this may be a branching point for good and evil clerics..perhaps evil clerics are required to "side" with the plasmatic priest..and kill Lord Burgurgle and bring the crown to the priest..and MAYBE..good priests are supposed to align with the Triumvarate...kill the priest and spirit of flame and RETURN the damaged goblin crown that drops off the spirit to Lord Burgurgle insted of killing him...

Just a thought..going to pursue this line IF I can ever find word of Lord Burgurgle.

    # Sep 22 2000 at 2:06 AM Rating: Default
Well, did a bunch of searching, Omat is a HUGE pain to get too. In Timorous Deep in a place ringed with mountains, you gotta swim under two caves to get to the inn where he's located to the left of outside.

Logging to 'eqlog.txt' is now *ON*.
    You say, 'hail Omat Vastsea'
Omat Vastsea bows deeply. 'I have been expecting you, Ebina . The waters have foretold your arrival. I am High Priest Omat Vastsea of the Triumvirate missionaries. Please feel free to enjoy the quiet solitude of this inn.'
    You say, 'who triumvirate'
Omat Vastsea says 'The Triumvirate of Water are: E'ci, the mistress of ice; Tarew Marr, the lord of water; and Povar, the formless master of vapor and mist. We Triumvirate missionaries are granted great divinatory powers and wisdom through our devotion to the Triumvirate and must defend the waters of Norrath from the ravages of the Tyrant of Fire, Fennin Ro.
You say, 'who is fennin ro'
Omat Vastsea says 'The Tyrant of Fire, Fennin Ro, is the merciless lord of fire in all its forms. The rivalry between the tyrant and the Triumvirate is as old as the gods themselves and is an eternal battle. We witness the struggle every moment of our lives as the Oasis of Marr succumbs to the heat of the surrounding desert and is replenished by the swelling of the Lifire River. That fragile balance between the elements must be maintained but the Plasmatic Priesthood threatens that balance.
    You say, 'what plasmatic priesthood'
Omat Vastsea says 'The Plasmatic Priesthood are worshipers of the Tyrant of Fire, but they have been driven mad by their fanaticism and have forgotten the importance of the balance. In their madness they would set the whole world aflame, leaving nothing but lifeless ash.

That's his story. Me and a friend searched the river bed and the lake, but except for spectres and deepwater goblins, nothing new. =( Nothing else could coax a response out of him. Must be another phrase you learn somewhere or give him an item. Not even the names helped. SO I decided to check out Elia and see if she would be relevenant. Until someone can find the right item to give her to cleanse, think it'll remain a mystery.

Logging to 'eqlog.txt' is now *ON*.
You say, 'hail Elia the Pure'
Elia the Pure says 'Hail to you friend. If you require assistance please ask, if not I must return to my tasks.
    You say, 'what tasks'
Elia the Pure says 'It is here that the light shines brightest in our fair city. Here I sit, transcribing scrolls of luminescence. Spells to light the dark, to blind the evil with purity, or to heal those in pain. I find it so much easier to work with such spells if I am in the light itself.
    You say, 'what purity'
Elia the Pure says 'Cleansing and such. Often our temple will cleanse evil. If you have need of such a thing I can do so. Merely let me examine the item.
    You say, 'i require assistance'
Elia the Pure says 'Our halls are nearby. The priests are happy to bless you there.

And that's her story. If anyone has anything to add, please post. It'd help us all.

Schmendrick Lavawalker resides in Lake Rathetear. Here's a conversation with him.

Logging to 'eqlog.txt' is now *ON*.
    You say, 'hail Shmendrik Lavawalker'
Shmendrik Lavawalker says 'Hail, good Ebina !! I simply ask that you bring me his crown as proof.

Taking Schmendrick's Plasmatic Priesthood Robe and giving to Omat doesn't do a thing. Also, immeaditly after killing him, a Spirit of Fire spawns like with Lucan, but it's a fire elemental. Schem was green, this is blue to 51's. We killed it and recieved a Broken Goblin Crown. Giving it to Omat does nothing also. So dont' waste time with him as of yet until we find something that you use it for. No faction hits.

    Qeynos NPC involvement?
    # Sep 21 2000 at 7:29 AM Rating: Default
There is a new NPC at the Qeynos Temple of Life named Velarte. He may be related to the quest.
#Anonymous, Posted: Sep 21 2000 at 4:23 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I see someone mentioned if you ask her about purity she says she needs something to examine..this may be a longshot..but a tainted Hill giant spawned in RM the morning after the patch..after killing it..a corrupted HG spawned..dropping an anicent stone..might be worth a shot giving that to her..since it came from a creature that would need purifying..just a thought
#Anonymous, Posted: Sep 20 2000 at 8:19 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I have not verified this personally, but it has something to do with a new faction called the Starngers of Qeynos (or something like that). Jeffin Bootless (the Admin guy for the Harpy's Head tavern) posted the hint.
#Anonymous, Posted: Sep 21 2000 at 4:44 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Alas, I have spoken with Athrin Tashir in the Tavern to no avail... he seems unwilling to talk about even the matter at hand which he himself mentions when hailed. /sigh
#Anonymous, Posted: Sep 21 2000 at 4:59 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) What faction are you? I assume this quest will be the highest of all factions.
#Anonymous, Posted: Sep 21 2000 at 8:06 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I have maxed Temple Of life faction, and was not able to talk to him I am also level 52. There was on the eq boards in the tavern a story about him and stolen scrolls so I saw a theif in town and killed it droped a scroll of Nife. I tried just handing him the scroll and received exp faction and a Band of Nife ring ac 2 wis 2 1 charge of greater healing.

It can't start in Qeynos...How would a DE Cleric (like myself) do a quest that starts in Qeynos? The quest givers are all beta-neutral faction and the quests all start in non-city zones. To have it start in Qeynos is to me what having it start in Neriak would be for you.

How come you cannot get into Qeynos? Sure there may be some NPC's that are kos to you by default but you can raise those factions.

I know my agnostic DE rogue could wander more freely there than I can in Freeport. I never found anyone in Qeynos that was KOS to me. My friend plays a DE cleric and she has wandered around in Qeynos with me and had never killed much of anything that changed factions there. She was not attacked once...
#Anonymous, Posted: Sep 22 2000 at 8:00 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Was she agnostic? Dark elves that are agnostic have less of a faction penalty. Dark elves that choose Innoruuk as their god are generally penalized more for their beliefs. At best, a dark elf would be dubious starting faction, and there are often caps on how high evil characters can raise certain factions.

I have a 19th lvl DE cleric. Guards and shopkeepers view my kindly. Unfortunately no matter what I did I could not raise my faction with knightsofthunder or thetempleoflife. They view me dubiously and I have done many a quest that give faction for these 2 guilds and have never gotten above dubiously. Also remember clerics can't be agnostic.

    Some things
    # Sep 20 2000 at 6:45 PM Rating: Decent
First of all, the quest will NOT start in a city. These quests are to be accessable to all. Any NPC who is needed to start this quest will be Beta Neutal faction and in an outdoor area. That being said, Omat Vastsea in Timerous Deep meets these conditions. He is indifferent to me in both Human and Dark Elf form. Right now I have asked him about EVERYTHING that he says, and beyond what the log in the previous thread got, I have received no additional responses. My only idea right now is to give him a Plasmatic Priest Robe which I got off an NPC in Lake Rathetear, however I am not sure how rare this item is, and if it may be needed later in the quest. All I know is that Omat does not appear to like the Plasmatic Priesthood, and evidence of the death of one of them may spark his interest. Any thoughts?

The guy that drops the robe spawns every 3 hours, and drops the robe every time...So it's easy to get another if handing it in doesn't work..I may try handing the one i got in tomorrow, unless I see something that sounds better.

I heard a rumor of a new high level Cleric NPC in Timorous Deep, so I hunted him down. This is my logged conversation with him. This SOUNDS like it might be significant enough to be our quest. Everyone I've talked to has said that there were NO NPC's at the location prior to yesterday's patch. This is at the "Inn" in TDeep, located inside the two rock rings with underwater entrances at /loc -12000, -2000 (very far south in the water). I included all the questions I asked that got no reply. Nothing this guy says is in brackets. Please, pursue this and if you get him to say something more, let me/us know!

We Triumvirate missionaries are granted great divinatory powers and wisdom through our devotion to the Triumvirate and must defend the waters of Norrath from the ravages of the Tyrant of Fire, Fennin Ro.

#Anonymous, Posted: Sep 21 2000 at 9:19 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I have looked on the EQ Druids board (my friend plays a druid) and they also mention this NPC as part of their quests. #Anonymous, Posted: Sep 20 2000 at 3:04 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Ask her about her "Tasks". She will respond with a paragraph about creating scrolls. One of the bits there is about blinding evil with purity. Ask her about "Purity" and she says that she cleanses stuff, and that you have to give her an item to examine.
#Anonymous, Posted: Sep 21 2000 at 12:36 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) In a previous thread on this board a conversation is logged with a new high level cleric in Timorous where he speaks of the evil of the Plasmotic preists or something like that. I read elsewhere that there is a NPC in Lake Rathe that drops a plasmatic robe. Perhaps you have to give her this robe to cleanse..?? There are also numerous "tainted" and "corrupted" mobs out and about now that drop "tainted" items.. perhaps one of those needs to be given to her.
#Anonymous, Posted: Sep 21 2000 at 4:48 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) The tainted mobs around Norrath are for the Druid weapon. After killing the tainted, a corrupt spawns, and the druids must collect a few of these things. They aren't quite sure how many or anything.
