At the end of the previous quest, Master Kyvix told you that Harbinger Glosk needed a new revenant. (/loc of Harbinger Glosk?)

    You say, 'Hail, Harbinger Glosk'

Harbinger Glosk halts his chanting. 'You dare to interrupt me? You had best have a good reason. I care not for small talk.'

You say, 'I am the new revenant.'

Harbinger Glosk ceases his chanting and gazes into your mind. 'Yes. You are. You shall do as I command. Take this. It is incomplete and must be ready for the emperor within the half season. You must find the [four missing gems]. When you have them, you will have to quest for the [Grand Forge of Dalnir]. Within its fire, all shall combine. Return the sceptre to me with your revenant skullcap. Go.'

You receive an Unfinished Sceptre (identifies as "Unfinished Sceptre of Vekin").

You say, 'What four missing gems?'

Harbinger Glosk says 'The missing sceptre gems are: an Eye of Rokgus, a Gem of Yet to Come, a Heart of Torsis and the Crown Jewel of Ganak.'

You say, 'What Eye of Rokgus?'
You say, 'What Gem of Yet to Come?'
You say, 'What Heart of Torsis?'
You say, 'What Crown Jewel of Ganak?'
You say, 'What Grand Forge of Dalnir?'

Harbinger Glosk scratches his chin. 'I know little of it other than that it once belonged to the ancient Haggle Baron, Dalnir. From what I have read, its fires require no skill, but will melt any common forge hammer used. Dalnir was said to have called upon the ancients for a hammer which could tolerate the magickal flames.'

The Eye of RokGus is dropped by Chief RokGus in the Frontier Mountains. The Gem of Yet to Come is dropped by a sarnak gem oracle in the Lake of Ill Omen. The Heart of Torsis is really a Shiny Emerald (identifies as "Heart of Torsis"), dropped by various mobs in the Emerald Jungle and City of Mist. The Crown Jewel of Ganak is dropped by Red Eye Jack in Firiona Vie. The forge is the Grand Forge of Dalnir (a.k.a. the "Always Works" forge) in the Crypt of Dalnir at -230, 30 on the bottom floor.

The "hammer which could tolerate the magickal flames" is the Forge Hammer of Dalnir, dropped by an undead blacksmith.

Combine the unfinished sceptre, the four gems, and the hammer in the Always Works forge to craft the Sceptre of Emperor Vekin (no-fail combine, identifies as "Sceptre of Frontier Spur").

Return the Sceptre of Emperor Vekin with your Revenant Skullcap to Harbinger Glosk.

Harbinger Glosk says 'I await both the sceptre and your revenant skullcap.'

Harbinger Glosk presents to you a glowing skullcap. 'This is the treasured cap of the sorcerers of this tower. Let all gaze upon you in awe. You are what others aspire to be. I look forward to reading of your adventures, Sorceror ______.'

Your faction standing with Brood Of Kotiz got better.
Your faction standing with Legion of Cabilis got better.
    You gain experience!!
You receive 2 platinum from Harbinger Glosk.

    You receive your Sorcerer Skullcap.

This quest worked at amiable faction with Harbinger Glosk. Will it work at a lower faction standing?

Most likely you will be able to when they finish the quest.

These quest skull caps are all iksar necromancer only, so a Erudite would not be able to even wear then if thier faction got high enough.

    "A Sapphire"
    # Aug 13 2000 at 4:05 AM Rating: Decent
In Kurns tower there is a Thick Boned Skeleton that sometimes spawns in place of the Fingered Skeleton. It has a Rare drop of "A Sapphire" Ive never had it ID'ed so you might want to look into it. It is also NO DROP/ LORE

The gems from the thickbones in kurns are for a warrior quest.

Has anyone talked to the emperor? ask him about 'The Crown Jewel Of Ganak'? This sounds like a sub quest as I doubt we'd have to kill a uber mob like the emperor for this.. that's insane..
    Dalnir's..
    # Aug 10 2000 at 2:30 PM Rating: Decent
I spent a few levels in Dalnirs.. soloing from 35-38 near the ent.. a lot of blues at 35 then started getting greener fast as I lvled. The problem is not blue or green mobs, it's the friggin casters. All Coerced mobs, Kly Invokers, and Kly Evokers nuke.. ALOT. Bring high MR gear and a healer.. =P That's why we suggest 40+.. at 44, you won't pull greens (most all the kly mobs) so you'd be ok, just don't bring the necro pet.. it's lower lvl and will pull mobs.. just root, dot, dot, dot, med.. =)

    # Dec 21 2000 at 12:35 PM Rating: Default
hmmm bad thing about Danlir is if a mob is Agro it will attack you regardless of lvl (like undead).

I am a lvl 44 necro and I get attacked by all mobs regardless of lvl.
    Dalnir not that tough
    # Aug 09 2000 at 1:25 AM Rating: Decent
I was in Dalnir at 32 and about half of the mobs on the first level were coning green. I was in a group with 3 other around my same level doing the drop down room and the goo circle so its not that tough. The toughest part would be clearing the room the forge is in. You should be able to invis down there with no problem... assuming that most of the Kly dont have see invis. Obviously you would not go in here solo at 30 just to do the quest though.
    RE: Dalnir not that tough
    # Feb 05 2001 at 4:30 AM Rating: Default
You can use the forge while invisible. To mae a point about dalnir not being that hard..heh..I have seen a level 50 get dropped by one mob in Dalnir. These things might con green, but they are some of the most overpowered mobs I have seen for their level. You will be fine invising tho. Nothing in dalnir sees invis except the few undead spawn (ie undead blacksmith) and you can usually avoid them. Also "The Kly" can see invis also, but he is very rarely up. His PH is the Kly Overseer who guards the zone out on the third floor. I killed the Overseer at least 6 times and the Kly never spawned. Anyway, hope this helps. If you have invis you are golden.
    gem 3 vekin
    # Aug 06 2000 at 10:57 PM Rating: Excellent
gem 3 vekin off red eye jack merely identifies as the same, "Gem 3 Vekin".
the heart of torsis is "a Shiny Emerald", lore/magic/nodrop, and can be found in the upper level of emerald jungle. thats the area you come out in if you zone in from field of bone, or if you go up the long staircase coming from trakanon's teeth. the skeleton will be a greater charbone, and will sport a fine steel ulak and shield like "Captain of the Guard" in City of mist.
    Gem Oracle
    # Aug 05 2000 at 8:29 PM Rating: Decent
Ya, but the Sarnak Gem Oracle is probably a little lower than 30, but I agree, it does seem to be around 35+...
    levels..
    # Aug 05 2000 at 10:58 AM Rating: Default
If this involved Dalnir's crypt, it's a bit tougher then lvl 30. On average, to get exp just at the entrance you see around lvl 35. To work your way down to the forge and the forge hammer, you need a decent GOOD group of 35+.. It would be much much easier at level 40+, especially if the emperor ganak is involved...
    RE: levels..
    # Aug 14 2001 at 1:36 AM Rating: Decent
    Not so,

I soloed the crusader room from lvl 30 and that is on lvl 3 near the forge. You will need a group to get the undead blacksmith unless you are over lvl 44, but there is usually a high lvl on the floor most of the time anyway that can help you. You can forge while invisible so you dont have to clear that back area either.
    RE: levels..
    # Feb 14 2001 at 2:12 PM Rating: Default
I totally disagree. I have hunted with my bard, now lvl 51, there between the lvls of 30 and 35. It's great xp til about 35! After that, things tend to peater out, but you will see high lvls camping for the Robe of Foci (a very rare enchie robe I happen to win..hehe) and the Robe of Dalnir. This of course was in groups as bards don't tend to solo well indoors (though if outdoors with a wide range to run, we solo great! hehe). Hope this helps :)
Trakanons Teeth seems a little high of a
    # Aug 04 2000 at 5:57 PM Rating: Decent
This Quest seems to be geared around the mid 20s to low 30s. I think Trakanons Teeth would be a bit of a stretch to be included in the quest. Just my opinion though.

There is also a NPC in Firiona Vie names Red Eye Jack who drops a gem named somthing like "Gem 3 Venik" I have not had it identified to see if it reveals any other information though.
    Hammer of Dalnir
    # Aug 02 2000 at 10:27 PM Rating: Decent
Theka is most likely correct - all the other quest items in the crypt require the Forge Hammer of Dalnir to be forged, and considering the quest text speaks specifically of it I would gather this one does as well. The hammer drops off the Undead Blacksmith in the blacksmith room on Level 3, and is a no drop, no rent item so be very careful who picks it up. Getting the gems and fighting your way thru Danir's Crypt is not something you want to be doing multiple times unless you have to.
    gems
    # Aug 02 2000 at 10:18 PM Rating: Decent
afaik every skeleton in EJ with a shield (and there has been one up every time ive been there) will drop the ruby. the gem oracle is a random rare in every sarnak spot in the loio fort. the Essence of Dol from rokgus could be the eye of rokgus. ill be asking ganak about the crown jewel some time tonight.
    Crown Jewel of Ganak
    # Aug 02 2000 at 10:06 PM Rating: Decent
That would leave the Crown Jewel of Ganak as the only unknown gem. I did a search on Illia's Beastiary and it turns out there is an Emperor Ganak located in Trakanon's Teeth and he has the quests for the key to Sebilis and to Veeshan's Peak. Perhaps there is a quest for the Crown Jewel as well. Here is a good link for a little info on Ganak, http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/allakhazam/quest.html?quest=87
    Heart of torsis
    # Aug 02 2000 at 7:57 PM Rating: Decent
A feew months ago i was exploring emrald jungle and i killed a skell with a shield(sorry dont remember its name) and it dropped a ruby which identified as heart of toris. It was awhile ago so i dont remember what happened but I do know the skel I killed was up the stairs in the higher part of the zone.
    Wish I could remember more : (

I've killed a sarnak (not sure which type) in the Lake of Ill Omen which dropped a gem of yet to come. I think it was a caster type at the sarnak fort, hope this helps
    RE: Heart of torsis
    # Dec 28 2000 at 12:33 AM Rating: Good
the heart of torsis comes off of an iksar prisoner on the 2nd floor of dalnir
    Eye of Rokgus
    # Aug 02 2000 at 6:15 PM Rating: Default
The "boss" of Drolga is named Rukgus and his rare drop is a monk 1hb off hand only weapon that looks like a gem...Essence of Dal, I believe - this may well be the Eye of Rokgus for this quest.
    rank7 cap
    # Aug 02 2000 at 3:58 PM Rating: Decent
well the gem of yet to come is dropped of a sarnak gem oracle in the sarnka fortres in lake of ill omen, now theer is a special hammer that drops in dalnir off an undead blacksmith im assuming u need to sue in the dalnit forge as for the other gems i have no idea where they drop....
