I gave him an elven wine and he said "Take this back, I have no use for it" or whatever NPC say when you give them something they don't need. Is this broken now?

The Dunkards Name Is Tandan Nybright, You hail him using his name and he tells he a drunk because of [A Shocking Experience]. You ask him about it and he tells you about his four daughters becoming Bandits and terrorizing the travelers of the area. I don't what you get for completeing the quest because I tired to solo them with my level 12 enchanter and barely escaped with my life. Will update when I finish quest.

When I did the quest (Bandit Sisters) a long time ago, you got a Bronze warhammer or a leather belt. Now, I understand you get a Targ Shield if you do it. The reward from him wasn't that great, but the exp from killing the sisters was pretty good at the time (don't know now) and they sometimes dropped bronze weapons. I remember my Druid would end up depositing around 15 to 25 p after camping the sisters for a night. Considering that was over 2 years ago, it was pretty nice.

I tried this quest, but all the drunk did was take the wine and guzzle it, no exp. or money!
What gives!

This message refers to "BB" and taking bone chips there. Who or what is "BB"?
RE: Better way of doing things
# Jun 17 2001 at 7:05 AM Rating: Excellent
BB is short for Butcherblock, as in the Butchblock Mountains. BB is right next to Gfay (Greater Faydark), and home of the dwarves.

The easiest way to get to level 6 in gfay is to kill decaying skeletons of any kind and collect as many bonechips as possible. (You can do this at lvl 1 if you're careful.)

Then head over to BB and turn them in, one in each slot at a time. At level 1, it gives about a full bub of xp each time you do it. Xp slows down around level 6, (but the pixie dust still gives xp, especially since the decaying skeles are green to you at this point), at which time you can join all of your friends on Orc Hill and hack away with the rest of the madness.

(Just a tip for getting away from a zone like this if you don't like it.)

But if you do like to roleplay, then do the quests for the story behind it! Slay the evil orcs aligned with those teir'dal who are all trying to invade your homeland! Crusade to Antonica speaking the word of the mother Tunare!

not that it matters to much at lower lvls but be careful how much you quest for lvls, your skills will suffer.
Is it worth it?
# Apr 15 2001 at 12:28 AM Rating: Default
Hey, in this quest, is it actaully possible to level a character, say at like level 5 maybe 6. Just wondering, if you can please Email me the answer. BiackLabeiK79@aol.com. Thanks. Moreless do you think it would be quicker, the keyword here, to kill shizit than use my money to gain a level.

It is far better to fight to gain levels... exp goes up but your skills dont, sometimes keeping all of your skills up at the same time is hard if you use those monster exp giving quests at low levels. (i.w. Crushbone belts)

There is a platform between the bank and the POD lift platform. Coming from the POD platform to this middle platform take a right and go up the ramp instead of going left up to the bank. He walks from this platform up the ramp to the right where the jewelry store is. I started jewelcrafting with my enchanter and I always saw him wondering around these platforms.

I just started a druid in Kelethin and while wandering around lost in the city, I repeatedly passed "a drunkard" wandering the city. It looked like he had a set path that he followed, since I seemed to see him around the same parts of the city. Unfortuantely, as this was my first time there, I was lost, and really can't describe where in the city I saw him, but he wanders around, not inside a building.

Let us ponder the uses of this quest... I have never done it, so I don't know the exact fraction of EXP gained..

If you get a hair per wine.. this quest is useless to the common twink. However, if you get even a brely noticable movement in the gold bar.... See, you can go out and gather cash with a higher level character.. Say, a 12th level ranger.. Kill Willowwisps, and sell stones. Gain a few plat.. like, say, 10. Now, mule this cash over to your levl 1 newbie. Along with your other Twink gear. Newbie buys 2 packs full of wine, and gives them to the drunk, a stack at a time. Or, 4 stacks at a time. Now, you'll see that the little bits of EXP add up, and quickly. Your faction will also take a healthy boost early on in the game. This method helps with characters with very low HP.. like casters, and rogues. As you gain a level without even touching anything. And if yer gonna twink, might as well give yer exp and faction a boost while yer at it.

And I never even considered trying to quest to 50 with a 10 second quest.

Imagine that.. Level 50 with all your skills at feeble... now THERES power..

#Anonymous, Posted: Jul 26 2000 at 6:02 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Actually there aren't many like him. Everyone who pays to play keeps the game here. Based on things such as test server wipe and other mistakes all verant cares about is the money.
#Anonymous, Posted: Jul 21 2000 at 8:28 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Tresong, you are the man. That is the sharpest and most to the point kill of an idiot I have seen yet. Good job and keep it up. People like you are why this game is still here.
schmucks

hooray for Treesong!
It's funny how so many people who play this role playing game have no clue what role playing is about.
Bah

WEWEWE, why isnt there a newbie quest that cost me 3 sp, 1 minute to do, and gives me 1 whole bub of xp so that I can powerlevel to 50 only with this quest? Wewewewe!

Like mousemaster said: maybe quests have more goals then just getting fast xp? Background, folklore, lead-in to other quests?

Bah, go back to your tumpy tonic quest.

Treesong.

this isn't so much a quest as it is a diversion. Unless a wood elf travels to Felwithe early on, he'll have no idea what good the drunkard is for... and then SURPRISE! he's an ex-real good guy!
