Call of the Forsaken Info & Guides: Overview | Progression & Task List | Raiding | Visible Armor About Heroic Adventures - Heroic adventures in Call of the Forsaken scale in level: As low as Level 75 and up to current maximum level. - Scale is based on the highest level player present in the zone and affects difficulty, loot quality, and mob levels. - There is some variation/randomization in the task steps you'll be assigned as you progress through the task. - Time of completion will vary by your group's makeup (anywhere from 30-90+ minutes). - Collection items appear as ground spawns midway through tasks (you'll see an emote indicating their appearance). - Named mobs (or their PHs) spawn midway through tasks (usually, but always, at the same time collection items appear). - These tasks have individual 3-hour lockout timers (timer gained upon completion). Experience in Heroic Adventures - Mobs in these instances grant some experience, but the bulk of experience is earned upon task completion. - As of a patch in November 2014, less difficult tasks were tuned to reward less experience and more difficult ones were tuned to reward more. - For an added experience bonus, check out Guard Hamarn's "Daily Tasks". This is a heroic adventure (1-6 players) that begins with Rozz T`Ver (click for map image) in Neriak Fourth Gate. Pre-Requisites for Requesting: - Level 75 - No tasks TASK SUMMARY - Say "recover" to request the task and "begin" to zone in. Step #1: - Speak to Rozz T'Ver just outside the palace entrance 0/1 --- Hail update. Step #2: - Gather reports from the queen's spies within the palace 0/3 --- Kill guards around "a nervous guest" NPCs, then hail the guests. - Mingle with chatty nobles and gossiping guests 0/2 --- Get near gossiping or chatty NPCs while under the effects of "Fine Attire" (to aquire: Kill guards; loot "Ornate Bone Key", used to open "an ornate chest" that are found around the palace). - Loot journals from guests and nobles within the palace 0/4 --- Kill palace guests and visiting nobles until you've looted 4x "Bound Journal", then right-click one of the journals. Step #3: - Bribe a member of the Dreadguard 0/1 --- Kill palace guests and visiting nobles; loot "Heavy Sack of Gold", used to bribe Dragoons (will either update task, or attack). - Beat information out of a Dragoon 0/1 --- Kill Dragoons until you find one that locks at 50% health (will update step). - Get a Dragoon drunk to reveal information 0/1 --- Kill inebriated nobles and tipsy guests; loot "Ruby Port", used to get a guard drunk (will either take it an update task, or attack). Note: tipsy guests appear to be a better source of the ruby port. - At this point in the task, collectibles spawn in the zone (ground spawns) and a named (or its PH) has a chance to spawn. Step #4: - Spy on the king and his advisor 0/1 --- Location update on the balcony above the king's throne room. Step #5: - Rescue the queen's remaining allies 0/4 --- In a room north of the king's room, you'll find several captive allies; clear it of guards. - Kill all the traitors 0/8 --- Kill 8x "a traitorous Teir`Dal". - As soon as the objective for Step #5 is done, the task completes. MAP NAMED MOBS Guard Captain N`Mar (or his PH) spawns after the third step is completed. Known loot from this named: Bracer of Latent Ether Buckler of the Turncoat's Anguish Hate's Bleeder You'll see this emote if he spawns: Guards stand at attention as Guard Captain N`Mar enters the palace. TASK IN DETAIL ======================================================================== TRIGGERING THE TASK ======================================================================== You say, 'Hail, Rozz T`Ver' Rozz T`Ver says 'In the aftermath of the construct battle, the king and queen are more at odds than ever. Her majesty has been banished from the palace, and all those loyal to her killed or imprisoned. It's left the queen quite bitter and paranoid. I'm afraid her lust for [revenge] will interfere with the greater goal of winning this war. Without ears and eyes in the palace, the queen cannot gain ground in this ongoing battle. She needs an ally on the inside; one to [recover] information about what the king has planned.' You say, 'I'll recover some information...' Rozz T`Ver appears relieved, 'I knew I could count on you, _____.' The dark elf scans her surroundings before continuing, 'Meet me outside the palace entrance when you're [ready]. We have much to discuss.' You have been assigned the task 'The King's Court'. Explore Darklight Palace and discover information about the king's plans. You say, 'Ready!' Rozz T`Ver says 'Make haste, _____.' LOADING, PLEASE WAIT... You have entered Neriak - Fourth Gate. ======================================================================== STEP #1 ======================================================================== Speak to Rozz T'Ver just outside the palace entrance 0/1 (Neriak Fourth Gate) Task Window Says: Rozz T`Ver is waiting just outside Darklight Palace to the left. If You Get This Step: Hail Rozz (just east of the zone-in point). You say, 'Hail, Rozz T`Ver' Rozz T`Ver appears relieved to see you, 'I'll make this brief, since we don't have much time. What allies the Queen has left remain in hiding, fearful for their lives. They must be reached at all costs. Their accounts of palace activities will be crucial in helping the queen get one step ahead of her deplorable husband. You need to ferret out her allies and retrieve their reports. ======================================================================== STEP #2 ======================================================================== Gather reports from the queen's spies within the palace 0/3 (Neriak Fourth Gate) Task Window Says: You need to collect reports from spies within the palace. They may not be so eager to speak with guards around. If You Get This Step: Kill guards around NPCs called "a nervous guest", and then hail the guests. a nervous guest leans in and whispers, 'It's not safe to talk with guards nearby.' a nervous guest lets out a sigh of relief, 'I was worried the guards might discover my true identity. Many of those loyal to her majesty have been executed or imprisoned. If the rumors are true, some have even bargained for their lives by betraying the queen.' a nervous guest speaks with urgency, 'My report will be brief, I'm afraid. The guards may be dead, but others will soon take their place. The palace is becoming a dangerous place for those of us aligned with the queen. The king has been meeting with many of his most trusted advisors, often in secret, protected by the Dreadguard.' a nervous guest glances around nervously before speaking, 'You arrived just in time. Something big is going to happen tonight. The Dreadguard is assembling in the throne room as we speak, likely to provide protection when the king and his advisors meet in secret. It's crucial for the queen to have eyes and ears on this meeting. Finding out its location should be your top priority.' ===================== Mingle with chatty nobles and gossiping guests 0/2 (Neriak Fourth Gate) Task Window Says: ? If You Get This Step: Kill guards until you loot an "Ornate Bone Key". With this key, open up "an ornate chest" (found around the palace) until you get a hold of "Fine Attire". Then under the effect of Fine Attire, get near gossiping or chatty NPCs until you get an update. ===================== Loot journals from guests and nobles within the palace 0/4 (Neriak Fourth Gate) Task Window Says: ? If You Get This Step: Kill palace guests and visiting nobles until you've looted 4x "Bound Journal", then right-click one of the journals. ======================================================================== STEP #3 ======================================================================== Bribe a member of the Dreadguard 0/1 (Neriak Fourth Gate) Task Window Says: ? If You Get This Step: Kill palace guests and visiting nobles until you a loot "Heavy Sack of Gold". Take this item and hand it to Dragoons. Upon turn-in, they'll either accept it and update the task, or attack you. ===================== Beat information out of a Dragoon 0/1 (Neriak Fourth Gate) Task Window Says: ? If You Get This Step: Kill Dragoons until you find one that locks at 50% health (will update step). ===================== Get a Dragoon drunk to reveal information 0/1 (Neriak Fourth Gate) Task Window Says: Palace life is a party to some! It's possible that some inebriated guests might have some strong spirits. It'll probably take at least a few drinks to get a guard talking. If You Get This Step: Kill inebriated nobles and tipsy guests until you've looted a "Ruby Port". Hand in this item to Dragoons until you find one that accepts it (others will give it back to you and attack). It will take four Ruby Port hand-ins to the same guard before it begins talking. Dragoons are non-aggro to begin with. Upon hand-in, if rejected, you'll see something like this (right before it attacks - this particular Dragoon then remains aggro/KOS until it's dead): Dragoon N`Mare says 'What is this? Dreadguards don't drink on the job. I'll kill you for your ignorance!' Dragoon N`Mare says 'This is going to end quickly for you.' When you find the Dragoon that accepts them (there will be only one in the zone, and which one is random), you'll see these responses as you hand them in one by one: Dragoon D`Jerna glances around to make sure no one is looking, 'One sip wouldn't hurt, right? It's been a long day.' Dragoon D`Jerna eagerly accepts another glass, 'This really hits the spot. It's so smooth and sweet. I've been working too many shifts, trying to keep up with the king and all his meetings.' Dragoon D`Jerna slurs a bit while speaking, 'Another glass, you say? Why, I don't mind if I do. It would be a shame to let such a good port go to waste. It'll help pass the time until the latest meeting takes place.' Dragoon D`Jerna struggles to stand upright, 'I'm not sure my legs work anymore, ha! But It's not like I have to go anywhere, anway! The meeting's taking place right in this very room.' The guard empties the glass in one gulp, 'Thanks for the drink, friend. If you want to witness a boring exchange between the king and his advisor, I suggest you do so from the gallery above.' The fourth hand-in updates the step. ======================================================================== STEP #4 ======================================================================== Spy on the king and his advisor 0/1 (Neriak Fourth Gate) Task Window Says: The king will be meeting with his advisor in the throne room. The gallery above should provide a safe spot to eavesdrop. If You Get This Step: This is a location update on the balcony above the king's throne room. WARNING: If you get too close, the King will aggro you and summon you to your death. King Naythox Thex scans the room before speaking, 'Let's make this quick, Rozik. What do you have to report?' Advisor Rozik D`Vin says 'The prisoners are secured in the parlor, your majesty. They're refusing to talk, for now, but I have ways of making people speak...' King Naythox Thex grits his teeth, 'They'll spill the queen's secrets or die. It's that simple. Use whatever tactics you can to recover information, no matter how gruesome. We must find out if that conniving wench is now allied with my wife. If the two of them have formed a partnership, our city will fall.' Advisor Rozik D`Vin nods, 'Understood, your majesty. I'll continue the interrogation at once.' ======================================================================== STEP #5 ======================================================================== Rescue the queen's remaining allies 0/4 (Neriak Fourth Gate) Task Window Says: The queen's remaining allies are being held captive in the parlor. Rescue them before the king's guards torture them into talking! If You Get This Step: In a room north of the king's room, you'll find several captive allies. Clear the room (and entrance) of guards to update this step.
