About Heroic Adventures
- Heroic adventures in Call of the Forsaken scale in level: As low as Level 75 and up to current maximum level.
- Scale is based on the highest level player present in the zone and affects difficulty, loot quality, and mob levels.
- There is some variation/randomization in the task steps you'll be assigned as you progress through the task.
- Time of completion will vary by your group's makeup (anywhere from 30-90+ minutes).
- Collection items appear as ground spawns midway through tasks (you'll see an emote indicating their appearance).
- Named mobs (or their PHs) spawn midway through tasks (usually, but always, at the same time collection items appear).
- These tasks have individual 3-hour lockout timers (timer gained upon completion).
Experience in Heroic Adventures
- Mobs in these instances grant some experience, but the bulk of experience is earned upon task completion.
- As of a patch in November 2014, less difficult tasks were tuned to reward less experience and more difficult ones were tuned to reward more.

This is a heroic adventure (1-6 players) that begins with Skulk the Madaxe (click for map) in the Dead Hills. He is an ogre located inside a big tent at the dock camp just west of the zone-in point.
Pre-Requisites for Requesting:
- Level 75
- Completed "The Hills Are Alive" (heroic adventure)
- Completed "Artifacts of Great Importance" (heroic adventure)
- Say "stop" to request the task and "when" to zone in.
- Clear the road leading to the sealed caves 0/15

- At this point in the task, collectibles spawn in the zone (ground spawns) and a named (or its PH) has a chance to spawn.
- Open the gate to the Stonecap graveyard 0/1

- Put the ogre spirits to rest 0/6

TASK IN DETAIL
TRIGGERING THE TASK
You say, 'Hail, Skulk the Madaxe'
Skulk the Madaxe beams a wide yellow-toothed smile, 'So the tribe thinks yer a friend, good! Here's what we do. You go back and [stop] their little skeleton problem and they give you the artifact we need. Simple!'
You say, 'Let's stop them'
Skulk the Madaxe says 'Just say [when] you're ready to head back out there.'
You have been assigned the task 'Death Peace'.
Skulk is sure that the artifact he is after rests somewhere in the custody of the Stonecap ogre clan. He has sent you back to their village on the promise of an exchange and is waiting for your return down the road. Your party will put an end to their ancestors' suffering by putting their undead to rest and they will offer you custody of their most important relic.
The tribe's most prized artifact rests on the body of an ancient fallen hero buried in their graveyard. They have since sealed the graveyard off to protect the buried remains from coming into contact with the curse that is bringing their fallen back to life. Oracle Udwoona holds the key to the graveyard and was last seen traveling to the sealed caves of divination to uncover the source of this spreading curse.
You say, 'When...'

You have entered The Dead Hills.
Two Ogre Elders greet you inside:
Elder Grambik says 'Oracle Udwoona holds the key to the burial ground. Tell her that your party has the blessings of Elder Grambik to visit our sacred site to put an end to this nightmare. You should be able to find her within the caves of divination to the south. If you wish to [leave], simply give the word.'
Elder Brembar says 'We would accompany you to meet the Oracle ourselves, but too many hostile beasts have taken residence along our once peaceful roads. I suppose that is why you outsiders have taken to calling this place the 'Dead Hills.''
Clear the road leading to the sealed caves 0/15 (Dead Hills)
Task Window Says: The creatures that inhabit the Dead Hills are becoming more hostile and taking residence in the roadway. Clear the road of dangers on your way to the southern caves where Oracle Udwoona was last seen.
If You Get This Step: Straight kill updates (mix of puslings, sporali, insects, and undead leading south).
Speak with Gatekeeper Yeeatru at the Sealed Caves 0/1 (Dead Hills)
Task Window Says: Now that the roadway is clear, Gatekeeper Yeeatru should allow you into the caves of divination.
If You Get This Step: This is a hail update.
You say, 'Hail, Gatekeeper Yeeatru'
Gatekeeper Yeeatru says 'So you say Grambik sent you?' She pauses, 'Very well. The Oracle went into the caves a few hours ago. Though it's not uncommon for her to be gone for days at a time, I am a bit worried for her safety given the situation we're in.' She turns toward the massive iron door and waves her left hand, drawing arcane patterns in the air.'
Make contact with Oracle Udwoona 0/1 (Dead Hills)
Task Window Says: Make your way through the caves of divination and find Oracle Udwoona.
If You Get This Step: This is a location update in the south part of the caves.
Defend Oracle Udwoona from the spectres 0/4 (Dead Hills)
Task Window Says: Oracle Udwoona is too versed in the ideals of pacifism to put up a fight against the hostile spirits. Do away with them to save her from certain death.
If You Get This Step: Kill the four mobs attacking the Oracle. These will generally be chain casting an AE melee slow and have high aggro on Udwoona (who actually can't die, rather locking at 1% health).
Oracle Udwoona bows her head, 'The spirits call for me to join them.'
Upon killing the four mobs:
Oracle Udwoona breathes heavily, 'I thank you for saving my life, but mourn for the spirits that have lost their way. Tell me, travelers: why are you here?'
You say, 'I need the key'
Oracle Udwoona unclasps an ancient looking relic from around her neck and hands it to you carefully. 'Simply stand in front of the iron gate with this necklace held tightly in your hand. If the road is free of danger and your heart is pure of intent, the way shall open for your party.'
Oracle Udwoona says 'Our burial ground lies north on the western road. Beware that the gate will remain sealed until the road is cleared of its hostile inhabitants.'
Defeat the Xulous that have killed Oracle Udwoona 0/4 (Dead Hills)
Task Window Says: It seems you are too late to save the oracle. Dispose of the xulous that have infiltrated the ogres' sacred cave.
If You Get This Step: Kill the "a shadowy ambusher" mobs and "a shadow of pestilence". On Udwoona's body (target the body and /inspect it), you will find a key.
Clear the road leading to the graveyard 0/10 (Dead Hills)
Task Window Says: The road leading to the ogres' burial is also infested with hostile creatures. Clear a path north.
If You Get This Step: Several "a lingering spectre" and sporali mobs block your path to the graveyard. Kill encounter a few of them for the update.
Open the gate to the Stonecap graveyard 0/1 (Dead Hills)
Task Window Says: The oracle's key should be able to lift the seal placed on the burial ground.
If You Get This Step: This is a location update.
The ground trembles as the colossal iron door slides open under the light of the Oracle's Amulet.
Kill the Xulous that have invaded the graveyard 0/6 (Dead Hills)
Task Window Says: The xulous have infiltrated the graveyard and are raising the spirits. Put a stop to them to stem the flow of restless undead.
If You Get This Step: Kill the xulous mobs in the graveyard area. Note these are Level 104 mobs and see through all forms of invis.
Put the ogre spirits to rest 0/6 (Dead Hills)
Task Window Says: The flow of restless undead appears to be stemming from this sacred graveyard. Free the souls of the ethereal ogres by dispersing their ethereal forms into nothingness.
If You Get This Step: Kill shades for the update (note that skeletons don't count towards the step, but they are social with the shades).
Obtain the sacred relic of the Stonecap Clan 0/1 (Dead Hills)
Task Window Says: The Stonecap Clan's most sacred relic was buried long ago with their most revered hero. Exhume his remains to claim your reward. Hopefully, the curse has not claimed him as well.
If You Get This Step: This is a loot update. Kill Shade of Grukkark and loot the artifact from his corpse. The Shade has about 8.5 million hitpoints; hits for a max ~16,500; AE rampages; and isn't reported to cast any spells. Below 40% health, however, he starts calling for the aid of nearby mobs (a very large assist range; you may want to clear the whole graveyard before engaging him if adds are going to be a problem for your group):
The Shade of Grukkark calls out for reinforcements.
Kill the shade and loot Grukkark's Zek Insignia from his corpse.
Deliver the Stonecap Relic to Skulk the Madaxe 0/1 (Dead Hills)
Task Window Says: It is said that Grukkark's insignia was given to him by Rallos Zek the Warlord before the Stonecap Clan's succession from the Rallosian army. No material thing holds as much historic significance to these people and they have entrusted you with its delicate care. Meet back up with Skulk the Madaxe at the southern end of the western road to see if it is what he is looking for.
If You Get This Step: Find Skulk at the southern end of the path...
Skulk the Madaxe says 'Let's see what ya found!'
Turn in the insignia to complete the task.
