About Heroic Adventures

- Heroic adventures in Call of the Forsaken scale in level: As low as Level 75 and up to current maximum level.
- Scale is based on the highest level player present in the zone and affects difficulty, loot quality, and mob levels.
- There is some variation/randomization in the task steps you'll be assigned as you progress through the task.
- Time of completion will vary by your group's makeup (anywhere from 30-90+ minutes).
- Collection items appear as ground spawns midway through tasks (you'll see an emote indicating their appearance).
- Named mobs (or their PHs) spawn midway through tasks (usually, but always, at the same time collection items appear).
- These tasks have individual 3-hour lockout timers (timer gained upon completion).

Experience in Heroic Adventures

- Mobs in these instances grant some experience, but the bulk of experience is earned upon task completion.
- As of a patch in November 2014, less difficult tasks were tuned to reward less experience and more difficult ones were tuned to reward more.

Patched Heroic

On October 17, 2013, the following changes were made to this heroic adventure

- They're Everywhere! - The dialogue in the combat report for this Heroic Adventure has been adjusted to more clearly reflect the status of the bixie guards.
- They're Everywhere! - Enemy NPCs converted to fight for the players' side have had their logic improved, and should no longer betray the players.
- They're Everywhere! - Bixiefoot no longer has a chance to spawn during the event that has invaders come from all 4 routes.
- They're Everywhere! - Hatching Matriarchs now spawn adds based on their current health, not time passed.
- They're Everywhere! - Friendly NPCs in this Heroic Adventure do less damage, have more hit points, and will no longer prevent the player getting credit for kills.
- They're Everywhere! - Enemy NPCs in this Heroic Adventure should no longer spawn at inappropriate times.
- They're Everywhere! - The Queen and her Advisor can no longer be knocked unconscious, and should never disappear during the mission.



This is a heroic adventure (1-6 players) that begins with Naturalist Yrelia (map image) in the Bixie Warfront. She is located at about -790, -2120, 50 (up the ramp just east of the portal to the Ethernere Tainted West Karana).

Pre-Requisites for Requesting:
- Level 75
- Completed "The Great Hunt" (heroic adventure)
- Completed "They've Gone Too Far This Time" (heroic adventure)



TASK SUMMARY

- Say "embark on an adventure" to get the task and "ready" to zone in.

- NOTE: As you kill hostile mobs in this task, loot the "Healing Honey Flask" items from their corpses. You will need them in the final battle.

Step #1:
- Alert Queen Shulia Fiume of the impending attack 0/1
--- Run through the queen's dialogues

Step #2:
- Trap aggressive bixie scouts 0/3
--- Kill update (northwest tunnel)
- Weaken enraged treants 0/3
--- These appear near Naturalist Yrelia; DPS them until they become non-aggro
- Convert reckless assassins 0/3
--- They spawn at the lower tunnel; DPS to 20% and then hail for update (not aggro-linked; can be split)

--- Flasks are dropped by all hostile bixies in the task; hand these to friendly bixies on the ground

Step #7:
- Kill your attackers 0/18

- Kill the four invasion leaders 0/4
--- Ambush by four named mobs with varying abilities; kill them
- Kill the spider matriarches 0/2
--- Kill the matriarches (spawn 3 adds every 15-20 seconds)

The wild animals, bixies, and cliknar in the surrounding area have discovered the Wet River Hive's camp in the water caverns. Wet River Hive scouts are reporting aggressive movement towards the camp from all directions. Defend Queen Shulriya Fiume and the camp at all costs.

You say, 'Ready!'

Naturalist Yrelia says 'May cool winds carry you and soft ground catch you. Fight well, _____.'

You say, 'Hail, Queen Shulriya Fiume'

Queen Shulriya Fiume says 'Greetings, _____. I'm glad you've returned to our camp. Rigzz here was just telling me about a new plan... Wait, [what's wrong]?''

You say, 'Well, this is what's wrong...'

Queen Shulriya Fiume nods slowly as you speak. She waits for awhile and finally says, 'Then I'm even more glad that you're here. We will need your strength to [defend the camp].

You say, 'Defend the camp?'

Queen Shulriya Fiume says 'We chose this cavern as our forward base because of its direct access to much of the Stone Hive's facilities. That accessibility will hurt us. Rigzz, give us a rundown of the situation.'

Strategist Rigzz opens her book and begins speaking rapidly, 'Yes, m'lady. There are three [primary routes] into and out of the camp. Well, five, if you count the [underwater tunnels].'

You say, 'What are the primary routes?'

Strategist Rigzz says 'The path up to the forest clearing is in the northeast corner of the cavern, on the highest path.'

Strategist Rigzz says 'The path to the residential area is in the northwest corner of the cavern, but is on the lowest path.'

Strategist Rigzz says 'The path to the main hive is directly to the left of the residential route, on the low path.'

You say, 'What underwater tunnels?'

Strategist Rigzz says 'There are two underwater tunnels--one in the north, and one in the south. Both are glaring holes in the [security] of this cave.'

You say, 'Security?'

Queen Shulriya Fiume says 'We can discuss improvements to our defenses in the future, Rigzz. Right now, we need to work with [what we have].'

You say, 'What we have?'

Queen Shulriya Fiume says 'We have two guards at every above-water route. I'll send two more to the ramp up from the water to keep an eye on those entrances. The majority of the guard will [stay] on this highest platform.'

You say, 'We'll all stay'

Queen Shulriya Fiume says 'Our enemies can dig and slink, _____. We cannot risk an incursion squad launching into an unguarded civilian area.'

Strategist Rigzz says 'You and the forward guards will need to keep the pathways safe. The reserves will catch anything you let through and hold them off as long as they can. Are you [ready]?'

You say, 'Ready!'

Queen Shulriya Fiume says 'Then go with the blessing of the Wet River Hive, _____. Be strong this day.'

Note that you should make sure the queen is alive before Step #8 opens up, or the task may bug out.

Bixiefoot appears at the top of the zone.

Down the path, appears Aryzz along with rioting worker adds.

Crizzralnzz comes from an unknown location.

Fraligiantus comes from somewhere down below.

We took a long time killing the 8 hardened veterans. By the time we got to the last two, they had somehow gotten outside of the zone into the room to the west. We could see them through the wall of the underwater tunnel in the south, and could see them on track (why are mobs outside the zone still appearing on track?), but there was no way to target them (e.g. to send pet) or get to them. We considered petitioning or filing a bug report which would never get fixed, but in the end we just quit and will re-try another time.

Moral: don't let the bugs escape.

Killed 5 but need 6. There are no more to kill. Do not see a way to get more so guess I am going to leave and try the mission again.

During +50% XP week, with LotD running, level 105 toon got 40 AA's. Also got a bonus of 5 AA's for having this task as one assigned by Guard Hamarn for the daily task.

This task is close to trivial for a "real" group of 105's since it moves very fast and the mobs come to you. Even with a boxed group it wasn't bad at all since the steps I got all the mobs showed up at the group, at the entrance to one of the tunnels. Then just had to move to the Queen to defend her.

I hadn't realized that when nameds spawn they appear on the FIND menu. Makes locating them also trivial, especially without a tracker. So far doing all 3 of these Bixie HA's. we've had the named spawn every time, never a placeholder.

Not one collectible spawned. We did get some as mob drops. Perhaps that cancelled out the ground spawns. Annoying since it takes a while to scout an entire zone of this sort.

I looked around for these forever. Two spawned in a tunnel in the water but I found the other 6 beating up on the Queen.

Exactly the same as the step-3 version... in fact, I got both one after the other. Just stood in place and killed 30 of them in a row.

Got these two drops from •Pollenix at 2014/July/24.
Both <Hive Guard's Ring> and <Honeycomb Band> are most beneficial to Monks and Rangers, not Beastlords.
Please have your revise.

Sorry, didn't grab text, but:

8 "a revealed knifer" spawned 2-3 at a time. Dark blue to a level 100. There was about 30 seconds between wave, but I was headshotting them down quick. All the Queen's guards will help DPS.

After the 8 are down, Hoppiling the Unstoppable spawns right next to the queen and she fights him. Again was DB to a 100, but also a bixie I could headshot.

not just bixies drop them..every killable mob seems to...except spiders. Also, even prior to step6, you can revive bixies near you to help DPS ..and once oyu get to step6, it will already have accounted for your prior awakenings.

Identical to the Kill Enraged Beasts in step 3. We got this same step back to back as step 3/4. In both cae the mobs spawn at the forest clearing path with Naturalist Yrelia. They hit for very little and it is possible to ae without agoing the guards.

Let me add they arrive in three waves of five, a minute or two apart. We were only able to kill one or two from each wave before the next wave showed up, but merc tank had no problem tanking 10+ at once at the end.

Kill hardened bixie veterans 0/8

Task: Hardened bixie veterans are approaching from the underwater tunnels! Kill them in the water, or as they surface near Battlebreaker Kraklest.

Spawn in waves of 2 in the water. I had 1 path behind my group and almost take out a few PCs. They hit pretty hard and there are only 2 friendly bixies down there to help out.

We just got:
- Kill enraged beast 0/15

They spawned at Naturalist Yrelia after completing:
- Weaken enraged treants 0/3
--- These appear near Naturalist Yrelia; DPS them until they become non-aggro

The task stage is 0/8

These spawn at the ramp into the water. Snareable, rootable. If left unaggoed they make a beeline (no, pun intended) for the queen.

Convert reckless assassins 0/3

They spawn at the lower tunnel. Beat them down to about 20%. I spam hailed from 40 or so. They converted betweebn 2% and 20%. Splitable with care.

Completed this tonight.

1. Warn the Queen
2. Weaken Enranged treants - these pop by tunnel by Naturalist Yrelia in instance. We camped group there ; bard did hail to queen as the 'ents make their way immediately into the tunnel as a group. Kill one at a time- they become friendly and attack the rest. They will stay where you made friends with them after. During task - you will get emote to reinforce the tunnel to the meadow. DO NOT AE....'ents become hostile...as do blue bixies if you are by them.
3. Kill bixie rioters. These popped on lowermost level by Snazlieu the Shadow in instance. Blue bixies were engaged when we arrived. Emote told us to reinforce the tunnel to the residential district. There were 6.
4. Kill bixie rioters (again). These come up the tunnel in two groups of three, about 2 mins apart and engage @ same spot as above.No emote. 6 in total.
5. Kill mindless cultists. Received emote from 1 again and ran up ramp to top to engage cultists. They appear in 4 groups of 2 about a minute apart. Because we left the 'ents in the tunnel, they provided cover until we got in place.
6. Use healing honey flasks to revive injured... Honey flasks appear on all the dead bixie rioters and mindless cultist. Loot, hand them to bixies laying down on the job on the middle and bottom levels.
7. Kill the invasion leaders. We started at top of zone with Bixiefoot. Then meandered down the path to Aryzz...who brings rioting workers with him. Almost wiped on him, and rezzed @ queen while revived bixies beat down him and partner. Somehow managed to agro •Crizzralnzz who flew up and engaged while we were medding. Queen's guard jumped him and we joined in. Finished medding as Aryzz's buddies came up and engaged Naturalist Yrelia. Engaged, and •Fraligiantus added coming up ramp (all bixie guards were dead below us @ this point. Bard mezzd the named and we killed off adds...then one at a time on the named.
8. Hail and done. Rigzz says how many of the force remains (ours was 33), guess that determines how much reward you get.

You can revive the queen and all of her guards with the honey flasks.

Spider Matriarchs

I should note that we had a run through prior to the 10/10 patch which said the following -

-They're Everywhere (Heroic Adventure) - Spider Matriarchs will now spawn adds much less frequently.

We had a run through where we got to the spider matriarchs (Kill the Spider Matriarchs) - they spawned on Step #7 - we had to kill 2 of them.

Prior to patch they came with 2 little spider hatchling with a decent amount of HP (could be killed but would take 2 wizard nukes to do so) - we thought maybe more hatchlings were splitting off the main mother (we had over 20 within a minute) - hatchlings hit for ~1k - it appears from the patch message that the additional adds are on a timer - the matriarch had a lot of HP too (sorry I don't remember how hard she hit).

Suffice it to say - get one down ASAP so you can deal with the other one. The adds did not depop even after we wiped but they do not appear to keep spawning while a matriarch is not aggro.

There is a HUGE step missing here:

We got for step #7 to kill the 4 invasion leaders (various names and abilities and came from all directions) - they hit for around 10k each but quickly - and one of them had a ton of HP, one powered up when our players died etc.

They broke down everything including the queen.

We eventually took them out after endless hours figuring out how to split them - and then got to a Step #8 where you have to hail the Queen to make sure she's OK - if she gets knocked out - she disappears when you complete step #7.

Maybe you can revive the queen with the healing honey flask in time for the last step - but if you get to the last step with no defenders up - chances are you're going to get run over anyway.
