Lord Qyzar is standing on the parapet one level up in the SK guild, at +1005, -150.

    You say, 'Hail, Lord Qyzar'

Lord Qyzar looks upon you with a sneer. 'What is the year of our birth and who was our Father?'

You say, 'The year is 371 AG and our father is Rile.'

Lord Qyzar says 'You are a student of our ways? I would hope so. I seek a knight in search of a way to prove his allegiance and a way to earn his [zealot khukri].'

You say, 'I want a way to earn my zealot khukri.'

Lord Qyzar says 'In search of a zealot khukri? I have heard much of your deeds to aid us. I offer it to you in exchange for your service. I have dispatched a knight named Grizzle to seek out the Kromdul fortress called Chalp. He was to secretly map Chalp and return with a [Chalp diagram]. He has yet to return. Perhaps you can [rescue Grizzle].'

    You say, 'Chalp diagram?'

Lord Qyzar grimaces in pure disgust. 'I have been awaiting the Chalp diagram from a knight named Grizzle, but alas, he has proven himself weak. He has been taken prisoner by one of the Kromdul of Chalp. If only there were another knight I could send to [rescue Grizzle] and return the Chalp diagram...'

You say, 'I will rescue Grizzle.'

Lord Qyzar says 'If you can find the knight in Chalp and have him hand you the Chalp diagram, you shall become a zealot and wield a zealot khukri. All I need are the Chalp diagram and your knight khukri.'

Grizzle is actually "an Iksar knight" in Warsliks Wood. If he's not resting on the plaza near the Cabilis entrance (-2020, -720), he's probably a prisoner of the giants. Go to the giant fort and find the enclosed building with an opening at either end. The giant that spawns there (-960, +1090) is sometimes "a forest giant" with no evergreen/greenwood/sapling appended. When you attack him you'll see this somewhat mangled emote (it actually says this whether or not the knight is already sitting near Cabilis):

a forest giant covers a pouch as to something from jumping out. 'You not get lizard!! You be squashed!!'

When you kill him, if Grizzle wasn't already at Cabilis, "an Iksar knight" springs from the corpse and starts running toward Cabilis, where he takes up his resting spot.

You say, 'Hail, an Iksar knight'

an Iksar knight wipes the sweat from his forehead and spits some flarefire seeds on the ground near your feet. 'Whew!! Good to be back and safe at the Cabilis Gate. The troopers will protect us.'

You say, 'Do you have the Chalp diagram?'

an Iksar knight spits out some flarefire seeds. 'Great!! Sent to retrieve the Chalp diagram. I will give them to you, but I want you to do me a little favor first. I want you to [retrieve some spells] I lost. They are incorrectly scribed and useless, but I yearn for their return nonetheless.'

You say, 'How can I retrieve some spells?'

an Iksar knight spits flarefire seeds on you. 'Oops!! Sorry. Yeah!! You go to Chalp and get two incorrectly scribed spells which they grabbed from me. The third one, I threw in a river crossing by Chalp. It was in a bottle and probably drifted way down the river. Bring me all three and also a shovel and I will make it worth your while.'

You say, 'You really like those flarefire seeds, don't you?'

an Iksar knight spits some flarefire seeds on your face. 'What? Interested in flarefire seeds? There you go. Ha!!'

Go kill forest giant saplings in Warsliks Wood until you loot a Misscribed Gate (identifies as "Scribbling 'Gree..?'") and a Misscribed Lifetap (identifies as "Scribbling of a mountain"). Go swimming in the northwest corner of the zone near +4235, +4220 and find a bag that picks up as Scroll in a Bottle (identifies as "Misscribed Fear"). Buy a shovel. Give all three items to the knight.

an Iksar knight spits flarefire seeds on your chest. 'Is this all? Listen up!! I asked for the misscribed spells; Fear, Lifetap and Gate, and also, a shovel.
an Iksar knight spits flarefire seeds on your chest. 'Is this all? Listen up!! I asked for the misscribed spells; Fear, Lifetap and Gate, and also, a shovel.
an Iksar knight spits flarefire seeds on your chest. 'Is this all? Listen up!! I asked for the misscribed spells; Fear, Lifetap and Gate, and also, a shovel.
an Iksar knight accidently swallows a mouthful of flarefire seeds. 'ACCCKK!! I can't believe you did it!! Here is the Chalp diagram.'

He then despawns. (He may respawn near Cabilis and hurry off to go digging, but it's not germane to this quest.

Your faction standing with Crusaders Of Greenmist got better.
Your faction standing with Legion of Cabilis could not possibly get any better.
    You gain experience!!

    You receive Chalp Diagram.

Return to Lord Qyzar and give him the knight's khukri and the Chalp diagram.

Lord Qyzar says 'There shall be no zealot khukri until I have the Chalp diagram and your knight khukri.'

Lord Qyzar says 'At last!! The Chalp diagram. I shall see that the emperor gets this at once. You have proven yourself more than just a mere knight, you are a zealot. Being new to the temple we have need of you in a [matter of betrayal].'

Your faction standing with Crusaders Of Greenmist got better.
Your faction standing with Legion of Cabilis could not possibly get any better.
    You gain experience!!
You receive 16 gold from Lord Qyzar.

    You receive your Zealot's Khukri.

I verifed this info and it is correct. I found the bottle at 4234, 4215 as a small bag. Klok Dytar had the shovel for 4gp 4sp. Now to make the Iksar Knight show up where I was used to him.
Where does one get the shovel?

I have killed many giants and have not looted a shovel yet. Is there any other place where one can buy or find one?
    You buy the shovel

Q:1 Is the bottle in the river or in the ocean? I have scoured what seems like the entire river and ocean infront of the mouth of the river. I have seen no bag. maybe a loc or something. I am not sure if i am following the directions given in the previous posting.

Q2: Which lord gives this quest?

    Thanks

I haven't actually explored Warslik's Woods much other than to pass through. I know there are waterfalls so the river only flows one way but I'm assuming it flows towards the ocean like a normal river. If it does, then it's not stupid for the bottle to be in the river, Verant just decided to add some "realism" and have the bottle float down the river where it then stops and respawns exactly every X minutes after someone picks it up in the exact same place it was before. (That was a little sarcasm in case you couldn't tell)

Every time I have seen the miscribed spells, they have been on Forest Giant Saplings. You should have no problem taking out Saplings with the 2 of you working together.

This is correct - I spent 4 or 5 levels fighting giants and noticed that these items drop Exclusively from the saprolings - Wish I new they where one of my quest items since I have seen several of each.

I am a 19 SK and am going to group with a 21 shaman. We can take some of the giants that are white and lower to the shaman. Is this combo enough to take on the giants that drop the spell pages?
Will all of them drop the pages?

I just finished this quest last night and wish to add my 2cp. the scrolls do indeed drop off of the saplings in the fort, but not ANY saplings. Specifically, the one who spawns in a building a little ways down the road into the fort, to the right of the road. Sorry about those vague directions, but the only time I was ever in the fort was to get these scrolls. The good news is that they seem to drop every time you kill this particular sapling. I was there for 10 minutes and got both spells. If some of you more experienced fort hunters could give better directions than that, it would help this thread greatly. Hope this helps :)

I seem to have been unable to find the spell that was thrown in the river; having read the last comment by Bachiodon I can see why. Does anyone have the /loc of it, or an estimation of how far down the spell is. Also, what does it look like? A bottle perhaps? Or maybe a bag, like when you drop something. Please post a reply if you know, because I have the spells from the giants and have spent way too much time looking for this one.

    thanks in advance

Again, some information here is incorrect.

The knight spawns and sits right near the first ruins on the left
as you come out of Cabilis. He was nowhere to be found on my
server, but I got a guide to figure out he was stuck and she kindly
respawned him for me. He does wander into the woods, but he is
supposed to return. The knight's main location is NOT in the woods
    but just outside the gate.

Also, the information on 371 ag and Rile is found in a book. This
information is not provided in the conversation with Xog about Greenmist
(although he does mention the Emperor Rile).

The Gate and Lifetap spells took me about 4 hours of camping to get.
The insane one is the scroll in a bottle which is NOT in the little river
but all the way out in the ocean (takes forever to find).

    bye,
    Bach

Tonight I discovered the Misscribed Gate on a giant in the enclosure. But that scroll is very rare, I'm sure. Too bad I looted it before I knew what I had.

Ever since the last patch, the knight has not been where he should be. Has anyone found him in a different spot? I know he roams but I have sat there staring at his spot for 20 minutes and he never came back.

I hope the quest isn't broken.

To get the knight to spawn head into the Giant Camp. Inside is a large round building with "A Forest Giant" inside it. Run up to this giant as an iksar and you will get a message about him covering up his pocket. This will cause the knight to spawn. The giant is between levels 20-24, so if you cant kill him you may need to bolt for the zone.

I saw the Iksar Knight just south of the Forest Giant Fort. He conned blue to a 26th lvl necro, and resisted every spell I cast at him, including Siphon Life. I also looted a miscribed lifespike spell from a giant in the fort. I am assuming that they are both related to this quest.
