Romar Sunto may be found at /way +385, +90, +19, a few doors down from Gardern. The room he is in looks like a library and has two places to drop down to the next floor, one with a staircase. Romar is in the far corner after you walk down.
You say, 'Hail, Romar Sunto' Romar Sunto says 'I am Romar Sunto, servant of Solusek Ro. I am searching for the [coin] of the mighty enchanter [Tash] - if you are interested in helping me acquire it, I will [reward] you with a powerful spell. I am also a dispenser of the Staff of Ro, sometimes also called [darkwood staves].' You say, 'What darkwood staves?' Romar Sunto says 'Bring me a lambent stone from a hill giant, a sand giant or a griffon and I will give you a Darkwood Staff.' Bring him the Lambent Stone and you receive a Darkwood Staff. Romar Sunto says 'A stone for a staff - very well.' Your faction standing with Temple of Sol Ro has been adjusted by 1. Your faction standing with Shadowed Men has been adjusted by -1. I'm taking mine to the fletching merchants. These staves cost a good little bit of pp. Try also getting a few to sell in bazaar.
Just completed this quest and as of 2/2/06, the following is the hand-in diologue (and faction hits):
Romar Sunto says 'A stone for a staff - very well.'
Your faction standing with Temple of Sol Ro got better.
Your faction standing with Shadowed Men got worse.
You gain experience!!

I was told this was also for a druid quest and I've held onto it for quite some time, but have *never* found which quest it was. Does anyone know? If so, please email me (don't always check posts often)

The staff is ALL, ALL. Anyone can do it. There is another quest that uses it though. Staff of Temperate Flux. WIZ only. 1HB of all things. Not very good stats. I must have missed the goods ones. :)

It is useful for grouping wizards also. I have been in groups where I was puller, and this is THE tool for it. Instant cast, no damage, so that means the tank can strip aggro off you as soon as you get back to camp. Also there have been times where nukes weren't hitting, even when debuffed already. This can help, though if you're having trouble switch to lures.
Hehe, Staff of Temperate Flux is a great wizzy item. It will be used by soloing wizzies till the end of their careers.
and that is because its a clicky resist debuffer, that can be used from inventory, there for worth it, even if your in a group if your on a mount that is a mana free, no need to break med way of helping the group when your oom.

What do you do if Romar doesn't like you?
Kill shadowmen in WC, Lfay, etc... they give good Temple faction. Or kill Dervs in Ro and turn their rings in to The erudite merchant in Sro for faction as well =)

I camp Hill Giants alot for money, usually get quite a few Lambents which end up being vendor fodder. I'm going to try and complete this quest, at least then I will have an extra staff to give to a newbie or a guildie or something.
